St. Louis Bar & Grill

Made a reservation for 9 people. We got there and our table was waiting and ready. Not that we needed one, there was only one other couple in there, which surprised me.
Quick to serve drink and take our order.
Took quite a bit of time to get our food though considering the restaurant was empty.
The hamburgers were overcooked and burnt.
The chicken fingers and fries were ok.
Kids liked the wings.

The place is great, just a shame it seems like it's never busy there. It's almost awkward when the place isn't full.

Took my kids here to eat and the server was wearing next to nothing. Definitely not a family or kid appropriate place, I ordered the drinks and left afterwards, cancelled the food. Might want to dress your employees with a bit more clothing not to mention the drink that was made was WAY too sugary! Would not go back.

I went there and got take out wing Dinner to bring home to my father. When he tried his first wing it was red and raw. I contacted the restaurant and all they could do is offer me a free wing dinner. And I refused it because I don’t want to eat there anymore and all they could do is apologize. And the manger just quit talking to me and didn’t even offer a discount. Don’t eat at at this restaurant. I would give it zero stars if it was possible.

I was seated fairly quickly and menus were brought to my table. It wasn't busy at all but after 15 minutes of waiting and being ignored by 3 wait staff I left. The seats are in bad shape and the staff obviously do not care about serving their customers. The reviews before mine are 1 star and now I know why. If you're going to run a restaurant you must know how to serve customers. Please don't go to this restaurant.

I visited the restaurant today and was immediately attended to by the server, who promptly took our orders. I asked for coffee, anticipating a quick service. However, the experience rapidly declined from there.

Ten minutes passed, and not only had the server forgotten to submit our orders to the kitchen, but the coffee I requested was also nowhere in sight. Twenty more minutes dragged by, and the server assured us that our food would be ready shortly. Another ten minutes, and the food finally arrived, but still without the coffee. We spent the entire time feeling anxious, desperately wanting to leave, and eventually requested our order to go.

The server was alone, with no assistance, managing a queue of four customers who stood up from their tables to line up at the bar, waiting to pay their bills. They all waited for at least 10 minutes while the server was occupied on the phone, apparently speaking to the owner or manager.

This situation spoke volumes about the restaurant's management. It was clear that the owners did not prioritize running the establishment properly. With only one person working the front, it was evident that proper training and evaluation of staff competence were lacking. It's often said that the quality of a business can be gauged through its employees, and this experience was a testament to that.

Given these shortcomings, I won't be returning to the restaurant. The lack of care and professionalism was disappointing, reflecting poorly on the owners and management.

Never had issues with anything I ordered, and the staff on more than 1 occasion have gone above and beyond what any reasonable person would expect of them for me.

Went a few weeks back on Saturday, wasn't the greatest. Got a pound of buffalo, a pound of honey garlic, and a side of fries. The place was pretty busy so it was understandable that our food took a while and that our server didn't come by often. But the food was cold when it showed up and the wings were a bit too crispy. It was also expensive for what we got. The server was really nice and knew the menu well. I may try a different location next time.

Accommodated allergies very well. Building is a bit worn out looking. Prices a bit high.
Ordered the beef dip, excellent taste. Was interesting to have gravy on a sandwich, but it was very nice and added moisture and flavour.
The chicken dill sandwich was a bit ridiculous on height. Once adjusted toppings to make reasonable to bite into, flavour was good. Bit spicy, but manageable.

Food is good as always. But the seat covers are still broken and according to the statement, this should have been done last year.one service for the whole restaurant is not enough.unfortunately I will not visit the location again as long as this has not been changed.this is not St. Louis as I know it.

St. Louis should be ashamed.the broken seats have still not been repaired after 3 years and there is only one person responsible for a full restaurant.as long as that is not changed, i will not visit this stlouis again.

What an absolute joke I have never had service so bad. The 2 young girls working didn't clean any tables off took 10 minutes just to get a drink because they were too busy flirting with the 2 guys at the bar. I have to retrieve my own cutlery wasn't offered a second drink the were using profanity and didn't care. Worst service ever go somewhere else and stay away from this establishment I didn't even want to pay the bill but I sure hope she enjoyed my 10 cent tip.

Was the dirtiest most disgusting place I have ever been. The tables were filthy, all the seats were ripped with duct tape on them, the service was horrible. We were close to an hour before we got our drinks. The food tasted like it had been sitting around for a month. The washrooms were dispicable, felt like I needed a bath when I got home. First and last visit!

The worst experience of my life. They should take food off the menu. As you will have to wait 2+ hours for anything other than beer.

We had an awesome dinner. March 5/23. Our server MacKenzie was the best. Best wings and fries and dill sauce. We will be back!

It's unfortunate, we love the restaurant but clearly there are issues with low staff. We felt bad for the server today, as the restaurant was slammed and she had no help, it's been like this the last few times we've come in. She was absolutely great but no way one person can handle a full restaurant.

Place was empty the furniture isint outdated as bad as its falling apart everything was duct tape together

Horrible service. They didn't send our order to the kitchen and than after 45min realized this. Rushed making our meals and didn't even bring us what we ordered. The chicken tacos were slop and inedible, my husbands crispy chicken sandwich was just microwaved grilled with no sauces. They didnt have the chips the tacos came with and still charged me the up price of a side salad even after the long wait. Very over priced for what you got. Sadly this used to be a go to bar for us but in recent years has gone very down hill.

Ribs n wing combo was not that great. Wings were like the ones you buy in a box for game night n ribs were dry. Chicken fingers were bland.

Single worst dining experience I have ever seen, and I've been a full time line Cook for 12 years.

We enter around 6pm on a Friday, there are 3 skip drivers waiting on food and most tables are full. After a short wait we are seated (party of 2) and served each a drink. The restaurant is clearly struggling with the number of customers, and lack of staff.
We ordered a Caesar salad to split between the two of us followed by two wing poutines. 15 minutes goes past and the salad arrives, we order more drinks, but we don't have cutlery. 10 minutes goes by, the flies have enjoyed more of our meal than we have by this point. The older couple behind us is upset as they explain they have been waiting over an hour. His wife leaves and he cancelled their food. When he is given the debit machine to pay for their drinks, it's battery dies. The sever leaves to get another debit machine, he walks out without paying, clearly extremely displeased with the service he received. His wife returned to pay for their food.
As this was happening, two other tables walked out, we still didn't have cutlery, and a skip driver walked out. (Roughly 45 minutes has passed) We are seconds away from walking out also when our food arrives. We are given cutlery but our salad has decomposed by this time.
We ask the sever what happened and she explained the kitchen manager and front of house manager both quit as well as a few of their kitchen staff. Because of this, she has has to jump in and out of the kitchen to help cook on top of dealing with all the displeased customers.
We pick at our food for another 10 minutes when the first server who took our drink order returns. She asks how is everything and clearly remembered at that moment we ordered more drinks a long time ago saying she'll get them for us right away. We turned them down not wanting to spend anymore time or money. By the time we paid and left it was 7: 50.

A message for the FOH: I understand you guys were severely understaffed, you did your best and this review is not a reflection of your value, you should all get a large raise.

A message for the BOH: Although I wasn't able to eat the salad, the poutine was good and presented well. You should ask for a raise as your position is clearly in demand.

A message for the owner: I'm $30/hour.

The girl that served us ran the whole gambit.
She took food orders, drink orders, moved umbrellas etc.
Very personable and handled it all.
Great job, could not make out her name on bill though.but kudos to her, will be back

Probably the worst service I have ever seen. Not just us but for others as I watched them mess up orders. Pretty bad when we have to ask for utensils as well as another couple had to. Also the seats are so badly ripped up that they are taped up with red duct tape. This used to be a good place to go eat but not so much any more

Food on par with other locations of this franchise.

Unfortunately, this location is clearly in need of maintenance. Booth seats are torn, and multiple layers of tape are visible as staff have attempted to patch the seats.

Despite sitting inside, there was an excessive amount of flies and mosquitoes to the point that it was difficult to enjoy our meal.

Service was friendly and fast.

Usually like coming here but the service is now terrible. Apparently there was only 1 server who was also the bartender. The server outside had a few tables and did not even help the server inside who had people sitting at the bar and many tables. Our server was overwhelmed I don't know if she just wasn't thinking or is usually inefficient but at one point went back to drop off her tray after giving us drinks and then came back and took our order. She never came over to see how we were doing and my husband had got the all you can eat wings. He waited for the server to take another order of wings and because it took so long, only got one more order.
Just so happened these young men came in about 30min after us and somehow had 2 orders of the all you can eat wings and recieved their 2nd round not long after my husband did. For some reason she kept on asking them how they were doing/how their food was and if they needed something she would go right away to ring it in, but decided to not pay attention to some of her other tables; so much that we had the hostess/young lady cleaning tables, ask us what we were waiting for and took our orders for our kids ice cream that my kids also sat and waited for over 20min for. By this time my husband had finished his 2nd round of wings and we were STILL waiting for our server.
We finally saw our server at the end when we asked for the bill and she asked us if it was all together.shows how much she was around our table as we came in as a family of 4.
Why was this resturant so short staffed? Why wasn't the manager or assistant manager out there helping taking orders, running the bar and/or bringing out food?

Been here a few times. Servers are always friendly. We were quite disappointed to see the black bean burger was gone. That was the best vegetarian burger on Earth.

But the impossible burgers were quite good! I ordered a Whatchamacallit Burger but with an impossible patty and no bacon. It was incredible. No jalapeno next time though, they seem to bunch together in the waffle holes.

I placed an order through Skip and the restaurant called me to say they couldn’t fill the order as they had sold out of the item. So we agreed to cancel the order. Because the restaurant had accepted the order I couldn’t cancel it on my end. So I called the restaurant back and said you will have to cancel it at your end. So the order was charged through to my Visa anyway. When I called the restaurant back again a very rude young lady named Nicole said this was not their problem I would have to get it back from Skip the Dishes. She did not offer to help and when I said “ Am I going to get my money back? ” She replied, I don’t know, have a nice evening and hung up. Terrible customer service. I will never use this restaurant again. What kind of restaurant takes your money, gives you nothing in return and then absolves themselves of all responsibility of it?

Our lunches were delicious and plentiful and the waitstaff cheerful and helpful. First visit.will definately be back!

Snotty waitresses. Ordered soup had none on a week night. 5on menu and not one available only 8pm and they refused to make any said none in entire restaurant how is that possible prices ridiculous non alchol beer 5.49 plus tax way to promote non drinking. Total of 4 people in the place and no staff available WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. SORRY IF YOUR HUNGOVER GET OVER IT TAKE SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE. CLASSES I WONT BE BACK

Service was good. Had the selection off the lunch menu as it was almost $4.00 less than the main menu. Then was told we had to order a drink as well to order off the lunch menu. Nothing saying that on the menu.
Other than that little detail. It was pretty good.

Been here many times always good till tonight after got to table had to wait 10 minutes before any one took drink older then after got meal had to ask for silver ware then no one asked how meal was till we were done it be long time till I am back

Had the pulled pork sandwich with fries. It was really good. The only complaint I have is I waited 32 min for my dinner. But the servers where friendly.

Terrible customer service and waitressing. Although we were a group of 10, and seated quickly, we waited over an hour for our food after ordering. Andvghennonly acfewnofnus were served. Others edited another 25 min for their food! Not a good experience. Quantity of food for price was questionable. Had same experience in kingston St. Louis ribs.

Service was good considering the server was on her own to run the entire place including the bar at 330pm! She was super friendly and seemed quite intrigued by myself and hubby;) onion chips fab! Had a chicken wing poutine that I couldn't finish and hubby had phili cheese steak that was mediocre. He said meat tasted "out of the box". Doesn't recommend it.

I find this place hit or miss. The service was good, but the food wasn't this last time. I will probably go somewhere else next time, rather than risk a not so great meal.

Went with 2 of my friends for a quick bite. 30 ish minutes later food came, and the waiter go the order wrong, my wings were way over cooked, and he told my friend his would be fixed quick. Me and my other friend were now done eating when his order came 20+ minutes later and now we were late and my friend had to rush to eat and it ended up cutting the night short, oh yeah and there was maybe 10-12 people in there with 2 servers I mean really I would hate to see what goes on there when it's busy.hope they have lots of extinguishers handy.

Pretty good to watch a game at and Tuesday half price wings are a great deal. Way better then Boston Pizza on Lansdowne.
