St. Louis Bar & Grill

Went for some wings at lunch. Both servings were overcooked. Gravy for fries had an off taste. Had to go into back to find a staff went we wanted to pay and leave. Went we let them know about wings, and showed them the burnt ones, they said "they would let the kitchen know". And that helps us or makes it right how?

We were there 20 mins before we even got asked for a drink. Waitress doing all the tables and making drinks behind bar. Badly managed. Felt bad but still not acceptable. Wings good as always.

This is how my 6 oz glass of wine was brought to the table. Not that busy when we were there.but to serve a glass of wine with water still dripping on it.

Been here a few times and always a great experience! Our server Cass went above and beyond making sure everything was served fast and delicious! Best customer service in Bowmanville!

I always love this place, as I am a veggie, i usually order veggie tacos, their dill suace is so special, love it.

This place used to be pretty good but not any more. Last week they apparently raised their price of bottled, domestic beer by a little over a dollar. Tall cans, which used to be $5 are now $6.50. All this is before the tax is even added. I could not understand this considering other St. Louis locations are still charging the lower prices. The strange thing is that St. Louis is a chain and so all franchisees are supposed to charge the same amount. I was told that inflation was the cause of hiking the prices just recently at that specific location. Yet, inflation has been coming down for the past 3 months, so using that as an excuse is no longer valid. They should have raised their prices last year, if they wanted to convince people of that argument. This is just a greedy money grab!

Someone from St. Louis replied to me, saying that particular location had raised their prices $1 more than the other locations for a domestic pint, but the bottles were still $4.49 at all locations. I was there on a weekday around noon and I was charged an extra dollar for a domestic bottle of beer. The bartender told me all the beer had gone up, due to the owners saying inflation had forced them to raise the price of even a bottle, from $4.49 to $5.50. Yet the other locations still charge $5 for a domestic pint and $4.49 for a domestic bottle, such as Budweiser or Canadian. Maybe head office should check what their staff are charging! And, besides, inflation has been coming down the last several months, so why would they cite all prices going up due to inflation. It makes no sense and smells of greed, pure and simple!

I had a very enjoyable experience here last week! The food was hot and fresh and our server Michaela was very helpful and polite. Even though she was very busy with other tables, she was always attentive and making sure we had everything we needed throughout our time here. Highly recommend this location over other pub and bars in the area!

Bad service, waited 15 minutes for our menus that were put down on the table with out a word and after an additional 20 minutes still noone had spoken to us. After 35 minutes we left with two upset children.

The restaurant is great and so is the food however it was overall the worst serving experience I’ve had, I’d recommend the restaurant but not this location. During our visit we seen our server once for our order and once for the bill. The food took double the time, then there was no cutlery, we requested a refill on drinks twice, that I had to leave my table to ask for, that never came, when our food was served it was incorrect and the second server who brought it out was unsure of what we even had ordered, it was missing the extra sauce and the chicken was over cooked, we received an extra plate that was not ordered which we ended up paying for anyways, when you try to get any servers attention they will speed by you, when we finally requested the bill it took 2 reminders and 15 minutes just to leave. All they really focus on is joking and laughing with the guests grabbing a single beer. At first we thought it was just our table but the 2 tables of guests beside us managed to have the same experience and looked just as annoyed. It is a GREAT restaurant with great food, I just do not recommend this location remotely.

Super poor service. After specifying that we didn't want spicy sweet asain bbq in our nachos they brought us spicy nachos. After requesting new nachos they go to kitchen and put non spicy sauce mixed with spicy sauce and pretend like the spicy sauce will miraculously dissappear. We ask for new nachos but were brought our fries and a side of sauce, the staff requested we test the sauce before ordering new nacho. I don't need to test a sauce I order the same sauce every time and it's not spicy, the sauce they brought out was not spicy and they claimed that it was the same sauce on the nachos but it definitely wasn't. I don't understand why it was such a battle in the first place? !? ! We were not happy with our order and as paying customers we shouldn't be expected to pay for something that is not what we ordered. After this experience we didn't feel like staying in the establishment. We spoke to a manager and to our surprise her attitude was even poorer (apple doesn't fall far from the tree) and she basically kept fighting us on the flavor. We ended up just leaving and going to a much friendly better service oriented establishment whcih is right next door (Boston pizza) where the service was excellent and we got the nachos the way we wanted. There are many establishments like these all-over town and we don't mind going to them instead. Strongly suggest to train your staff not to offer such disrespectful service

Unfortunately the pub ran out of sweet potato fries, and a few various draft beers. The waitress was very friendly.

Attention for those picking apples down the road…So if you show up here with 3 families and children and most of you are “ethnic” - the patrons and staff will look you up and down and then you will be turned away with a claim that they’re short-staffed. Will not be back. Did not expect this garbage in Canada.

I've eaten in this restaurant a few times over recent months and the experience has been really positive each time. When we moved to the area we avoided the place assuming it to be just another chain, with quick fry food options. It's a really great restaurant, the menu choices are plentiful for a place with 'Wings' in the name and the service is excellent. The staff are attentive, the food is out quick and is very tasty and even when the place is busy it still feels like you're being looked after. Extra kudos to server that looks after the whole bar area for food and drinks, which is a huge section.

I would definitely recommend, the wing choices are great, the sauce menu is huge and some great alternatives if you're not in the mood for chicken.

Great service. Very pleasant and efficient. Food arrived hot and fresh. Really awesome chicken tenders and the chicken sandwich was perfect.

Was disappointed this time. Wings burnt.the place was busy I think they were short staff. Normally my favorite place for wings ribs

Food was amazing, our waitress Sarah or Sara (sorry if I spelt it wrong) was super helpful. She was working the floor by herself, and was top notch! Always made sure the drinks were refilled and anything we needed she was there!

Attempted to go have some wings but didn’t have proper ID. While I was trying to find my husbands vaccine record my daughter walked in and saw the hostess rolling her eyes at us (I guess she didn’t realize they were with us). I get it the vaccine passport is stressing people out but everyone is new to this and we are trying our best and we didn’t give her a hard time but I felt she had no patience, and wasn’t welcoming. She could have said “hey guys this is what we need please feel free to gather that and we would be happy to serve you”, rather then sorry guys and roll her eyes at us. She had such a bad attitude and I even had to tell her to calm down we weren’t arguing with her and we understood…. We always go here and now will have to find another spot for wings….

Going to a franchise, I'm thinking it should be ok. I order a fan fave chicken sandwich and hit with a major WOW!
The fried chicken sandwich on a brioche with the fixings superb.
The bbq aioli fantastic, and the fries were fabulous.
Add on great service and excellent patio and I'm thinking I'm now a fan of St. Louis Bar and Grill!

We usually enjoy the food and drinks but guess Friday wasn't the night to be there. Waited 25 and not one person took our order. Not even drinks.

Sat on the patio and ate lunch. The club house sandwich is amazing. Fantastic service! Good place for a pint!

First time here.only had time for one and done but seems like a decent spot to have a couple and watch sports

Ate there Aug 2 with another part both of us were sick for days with food poisoning. We both shared the same boneless wings. Service was friendly, patio was spacious and clean. Unfortunately I will never eat there again due to being ill.

We are new to the area and didn't have a pleasant experience from our last 2 visits to other restaurants in the city, so we used to travel to nearby towns. However, last night we visited your restaurant and had a great time thanks to our amazing waitress.she was very friendly and respectful. Unfortunately I didn't ask for her name, she got beautiful tattoos.we will visit again.

Service is very good. Our waitress was so friendly and kind. Food was fresh and delicious. The fish taco was different (good different) it was like a mini fish sandwich with fresh coleslaw salad and guacamole. My husband got the southern chicken sandwich and he loved it. The patio was nice too
