St. Louis Bar & Grill

Ordered take out and they forgot the sauce that goes with the wings it was takeout and didnt know until we got home. Called the restaurant and they didnt care. Weren't willing to do anything about it.

Honestly one of the best st. Louis in Barrie. Compared to the one on Duckworth. If u are looking for fast service this is the one to go too never too busy and seems more like families go there rather than bar divers. Honestly really enjoyable experience

Terrible waitress, Meghan. The restaurant had 8 tables seated on arrival. And 5 seated on departure and one that arrived since our arrival.
Very slow, to be nearly considered dead. She Took our order. I Ordered a sangria my husband had a water and our 6yr old daughter had a water. Meghan returns 12 minutes later with the 3 drinks and proceeds to place the sangria infront of the 6 year old and the waters infront of my husband and I.
My husband said “well the alcohols definitely not for the child. ”
It went Completely ignored and Meghan immediately asked what we were ordering.

After 21 minutes which seemed long for the amount of patrons but not any responsibility of the waitress. And this review is mostly a unsatisfied one due to the waitresses attitude and careless disrespect.

Right after she set the food down she served a drink to the other table and turned back to our table to ask how the food was when it was clear we just received it and we hadnt even placed it infront of our right seats yet, nevermind tried it to check if the food was good.

We ate and didn’t see her again till the end for the bill. She didn’t mention the kids free desert so we asked and ordered a chocolate sundae. Paid and still tipped her 8$ on a 50$ bill waited 9 more minutes no sundae, my husband asked as she walked by and she said sorry we’re just way too busy right now.
Meanwhile at this point There was only one table that hadn’t got its food and a total of 6 tables seated in the 30 table restaurant. She then asked the manager to make a caramel sundae. My husban said oh no it’s chocolate. She said “oh now you want chocolate? ” He said, “no it was chocolate sundae we ordered. She basically rolls her eyes and says “yea sure no problem, ”
3 minutes later she returns to the table with a caramel sundae.we said “no it was chocolate” she said “yea chocolate. ”, points at it, he said “this is caramel”. She says yea “we don’t have chocolate, only vanilla. ”
He responds by saying “you offered caramel or chocolate”
She says “well yea we have chocolate and caramel drizzle. ”
At this point he stayed polite but it was getting frustrating cause her matter of fact attitude and the fact her politeness vanished after getting tipped was discouraging. I spoke up and simply said yes chocolate syrup was what we would like. The manager brought it out no apology or any words at all, we ate and walked out right past them and received no thank you for business or goodbye, even though this concern of the issue with poor service was not displayed at all.
So we immediately decided to write this review in hopes that Meghan gets some more training so that she can handle more than a few tables on a Sunday evening.

They don’t care about customer service. You are just a number to the staff here. They take long, they don’t care, and they make things more complicated for you if you complain.

Took my wife there for her birthday, she had the beef dip sandwich and said it was disgusting and she couldn't eat it, of course she didn't want to say anything.she showed me the beef and it didn't even look like beef, it looked like rotten bacon.

Good spot for a quick bite or takeout. Service was prompt, food was cooked to satisfaction. Expect a crowd on game nights, servers try their best but sometimes can be understaffed it seems. For anyone that loves watching live events away from home this place is for you! See ya down the road!

Had the 1lb wings with sweet potato fries. It was very good and our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable.

We just moved to this area.my husband and I went to lunch.walk in the front door.seat ourselves to the patio area. 12: 30 PM.prime time for lunch.after 20 minutes my husband got up to get services.only 8 customers.guess what.all sitting like it's a play card game.never again!

Just had dinner. Poor service, had to wait for an hour to get our food. Worst part of it all it wasn’t busy. Other patrons complained too. Won’t be going back.

Slow service on a walk in. The bar tender was great. Food was delicious. The staff was not attentive and took me longer to checkout as no waiters were walking around.

The first time I visit this restaurant, I can say that the atmosphere is very calm, the staff is very friendly and the dishes we tried are delicious. We will definitely come back to try the famous poutines and wings.

Love this place. Got the sweet chili chicken bites and fries. They were perfect.

Being denied at the door because I don't have a qr code but my vaccine certificate that shows I'm double vaccinated is no good! Business gone else where.

Had a fantastic time. The bartender was alone and did a fantastic job working us and being attentive. He made the drinks we asked that were off menu and they were fantastic. Food was delicious.

Weird place to pickup alcohol delivery. They ask for full SmartServe number and record your name.do I see overreach?

The food here is good, when they ACTUALLY have it. Today is the THIRD TIME my husband and I have ordered something on Skip The Dishes from them and they have confirmed the order, then contacted us 30 mins later to tell us they don't have an item.
Firstly, I understand we are stupid for trying a third time. I truly meant to choose a different location and just pay extra for delivery.
But, why do you confirm the order if you can't actually fulfill it? I called them last time and they said it's hard for them to get in touch with Skip and that's why it took so long to tell us. Don't confirm the order if you can't actually make it!
Wasted so much time, do not order from this restaurant. They were incredibly unapologetic about it last time.

I ordered medium sauced wings and when I got home it was medium dry wings. Not impressed. Great food but did not fully enjoy my dinner. Thank goodness for their dill sauce.

This is the first time I've been disappointed in St. Louis. I ordered take-out tonight. My quesadilla was an absolute mess. Wouldn't stay together, nothing but chicken in some pieces and no chicken at all in others and instead of coming with tortilla chips I got burnt french fries. My cousin ordered tortilla chips and salsa and got fries from the same burnt batch with salsa. The tomato bisque tastes like marinara and was cold. Couldn't eat it. She said her wings were alright but kind of soggy? They need to get rid of that Lil Xanax look alike they call a cook.

My wife and I visited for dinner today, and weren't disappointed. Our server was 10/10, super friendly and very courteous! The restaurant is very clean, and does verify vaccination.

The food was really great! They've got some new sauces on the menu, and I highly recommend the Louis 52.

We were served wings and ribs that were so dry and over done? ! Did not taste fresh either. Not returning to this location.

The service was excellent. But wanted to sit outside but because the patio stones were not lev none of the tables didn't wobble. It was very annoying. So went inside and the music was a bit too heavy metal. They may want to change that. The food and drinks were great.

Used to get 2lbs of wings every thursday with a coffee or a pop then one night wanted bottle of water.then we got are bill 3 waters was like $11.98

Great food, I tried the wing and poutine dish. We sat at the patio, and our server was awesome.

Friendly staff, the food for the money is horrible value.a burger combo, rib wing combo with French onion soup 2 beers was 68 dollars. Portions were horrible you would think fries cost a buck for one. Maybe go on a wing night. The fries and dill sauce is still great.

The server, Rachel and her partner, were super fast, friendly, funny, and made great recommendations. Food was amazing. Had mozza sticks, garlic. Parm breaded wings and Buffalo ranch wings with fries and veg sticks. Could not get over the size of the wings, sauces were great, and again, the servers delivered in speed.

Called in for a take away order and was treated to Jas. Obviously busy, but took the time with my order. Appreciated. The food was ready in about 15min and I had no issue picking it up. Jas was there to complete the transaction. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger fully loaded and it was fantastic! Fresh ingredients, good presentation (for take away), and thick cut fries made for a very enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommended.

My girlfriend is a skip driver and she waited over a hour to get her order. The staff helping her was rude to other skip drivers and when she told management nothing was said or done about it.

When we arrived and were seated at our table, a very nice server took our drink order. We then heard her get chastised by another server for taking our drink order at her table (we both got water, that's it). This other waitress brought our drinks and mine had blue particles in it. Back it went.
Waiting well over an hour for your food, especially at lunch time, is not acceptable. There were not that many people at the restaurant. Our waitress blamed it on takeout orders. When our food did finally arrive my wrap was over cooked and my husbands boneless wings had the wrong sauce on them. We both upgraded our fries to poutine and you will see in the pictures not much care was put into that either.one had lots of cheese curds and the other had almost none.
I think all of this would have been a bit easier to handle had we at least had a pleasant, attentive server but we didn't.
We have had bad experiences at St. Louis in Collingwood, Wasaga Beach and now Barrie. There are too many other good restaurants around to ever waste our time and money at St. Louis Bar & Grill again.

Everytime I order food from this place. They never have my order together or its a mess. Horrible place to order food. I was celebrating tonight and the person we were celebrating for didn't even receive her order.

Feels like every time I go there, the portions get smaller. I used to be good with just 1 pound of wings and some fries. Now that 1 pound of winds is like a little appetizer. The wings are still awesome though. Can I have the recipe so I can cook it at home?

Sounds as if your completely turning away people with medical exemptions. Another restaurant I will never visit. The word is getting out.

Ordered from this place and my order was wrong and way over cooked! Was looking forward to the 1/2 rack of ribs.instead got charcoal. Also my chicken in my taco was burnt! So NOT tastey at all. I ordered a wing poutine and instead got a regular tiny portion poutine instead. What a waste of money! Never going here again!

Good food. Mediocre beer selection. Please staff your restaurants adequately or don't open at all. Your staff are overworked and are clearly trying their best but management is clearly dropping the ball with trying to cut costs post covid. Give your staff the support they need to do their jobs.

I went to have dinner here with my family yesterday and I was very disappointed. To start off, it took our waitress 10 minutes to come up and ask for our drinks, and then another 10 to bring them out. We love St. Louis and have gone to different locations many times, but this one was just bad. We ordered one garlic dill chicken burger, one order of chicken tenders and fries and two orders of 1lb chicken wings with fries with MILD sauce on the SIDE. The garlic dill chicken burger was so spicy it was inedible, I couldn't even finish half of it. The chicken tenders and fries were EXTREMELY overcooked. Our waitress forgot one of our orders of the 1lb chicken wings with fries and she said she forgot to put the order in. When it finally came out, (we specifically asked for mild sauce because my father feels sick from spicy food) it was so hot that yet again, it was inedible. I understand that times are rough due to Covid, but this service in unacceptable. We just wanted to go out to have a good dinner, but our whole experience was ruined. Needless, to say, we will not be returning to this St. Louis, nor will we be recommending it to anyone.

Food was great and ready on time. Would have been a 5 star review but I was unimpressed with the preselected tip options starting at 18% and up.

1st time there. Loved the fries and chicken fingers. I couldn't eat it all, so I brought it home.

Came in for a bite. Great service our server was super polite.
But the food was lacking in quality and flavor. And we waited to long for a meal.it was burnt and cold.if you offered all you can eat.have it hot and fresh. That is the only 100 bucks you will get from me.

Definitely do not recommend eating at this place. The staff were incredibly slow then extremely rude. Me and my table of four will never be returning to this restaurant. I cannot understand how they stay in business. I would rather starve than eat there again.

Absolutely terrible experience. Myself and coworkers we're treated so poorly by a very distracted and rude waitress. Was by far the worst experience any of us have ever had at a restaurant. I have spent literally thousands of dollars at this restaurant over eight years in business, brought numerous friends and employees there dozens of times and I was disgusted with how we were treated. One waitress in a bad mood literally ruined our entire night. Needless to say we will never visit this restaurant again.

Great place to watch sports. Tons of TV'S with lots of different angles. The staff were helpful and fairly pleasant. Prices reasonable. We watched the Raptors clinch the Championship here so it was going to be good anyway. Go Raps

The only good thing is that the beer was cold. Waited 45min for 1lb of wings, they came also cold, over cooked. I had to ask server where my food was and received little response. The music on patio was so loud at 6 30pm that I could not hear the person sitting next to me. Not happy at all!

Got takeout last week, bartended was uneducated in regards to beer or liquor (so terrible at her job) and then disappeared for 20 minutes and was mad I didn't tip her well enough, ON TAKEOUT

We had a great visit recently at this location, food was delicious and we had exceptional service from Serenity! Thank you! Very enjoyable!:)

Ordered $95 boneless wings with sauce, they were dry, barely any sauce, had to add our own sauce from home. Suppose to get a pound of fries per 50 boneless wings. The 2 containers weren't even half full, barely any fries. In addition, we ordered an extra bucket of fries for $6, again, barely any fries. I was able to put 2 containers together in one. Disappointing when you expect at least a full container of fries, not worth $6. Even weighed the container, it weighed half a pound including the container. Not worth $140 we paid for our food.

As for your response, didn't think we needed to order extra sauce, especially if there's an additional charge, we expect enough sauce to cover the 5 minute trip home. The dry wings had no flavour, therefore, the wings did not absorb the sauce. The order was quickly put together and the quality was not there.

This bar has the BEST SERVICE in town. We were greeted warmly and invited to choose our seat. We were served menus and drinks immediately and the rest of the experience was, bar none, the best I've had in Barrie. YOU SHOULD GO!
