St. Phillips Maple

Exquisite Italian bakery as only Italians know how to make, hams, cheeses, hot and cold foods, very delicious Mexican-style bolillo coffees, by the way delicious, pastries and pastries, there are no more stars but I would give it as many as there were.

Though giving off a very hipster vibe, this is a great place for pizza and cake! A little on the pricey end - so keep that in mind. But otherwise, great food, great service, great people!

I bought 12 mini sfogliatelli; basically a 2 bite size. I was shocked to find out when I looked at my bill, that I paid $2.99 each. They were over baked, dry with very little filling and extremely over priced. Thinking it was an error, I phoned them to double check the price. It was not an error. I am vey disappointed with St. Phillip Bakery Maple. Last time I buy pastries there. This is a photo of the least baked one.

Be careful with the hot savoury food that they serve. We recently went on a weekday around 3 pm and after the first bite, it was evident everything had sat around for hours since the lunch rush. Food was dry and overheated.

Don't get their coffee either as that doesn't have much flavour. Must be the choice of beans.

Staple bakery for decades. Good good, good Italian baked goods, so great Italian pantry items available too. Lunch has good value here and always freshly prepared.

Gotta give 5 stars-everything from this place if delicious.

We love everything about St.phillips! Any consideration of opening one up near Brooklin, north whitby area? We need a good bakery!

I went in there today, to the hot table to order some sandwiches. The staff is so unfriendly, they can't break a smile & they act like you're an inconvenience. The woman who served me had fingernails about 2" long, which made it almost impossible for her to assemble the sandwiches. Because of the length I was concerned about the hygiene of the fingernails. Because of the difficulties she was having with her long fingernails, she chose to put the sandwiches in a pizza box instead of the customary individual wrapping. When I asked for them to be individually wrapped she walked away & left them for the cashier to wrap. When the cashier rang up the sale she was unable to give me a receipt & just told me the total amount to pay. There was no way to check if a mistake was made & the total amount seemed very high for a few sandwiches. This was an experience I will not be repeating. There are lots of food service places out there that want my business.

Whether you're in the mood for cannoli, gelato, a sandwich or pizza St. Phillips is the place to try. They are more than a bakery, they are a cultural experience.

Unfortunately my experience with St. Phillips Bakery was not a good one. I ordered a cake for February 4th, for a combined birthday with my sons and their dad. The cake looked beautiful, however one of the names from masculine was printed as feminine. It appeared correctly on the bill but not on the cake. I emailed the store on the Monday after and received no reply to my inquiry. If the electronic messages are not answered an email address for them should not be publicized. Obviously I felt that my order for a $65.00 cake did not warrant attention.
I am not looking for compensation, but just an acknowledgement of the error, that goes a long way. I don't think I am going back, small orders are obviously insignificant.

Had a pretty good time made it in and out fairly quickly. I didn't know this location was here glad I ran into it as it is not as packed as the location on Islington which is nice because that place gets shoulder-to-shoulder on weekends.

I had my son’s second birthday cake done from there. It was even better than the picture I sent, the baker there really did an amazing job, you can tell she did her best, which in the end turned out amazing! Words cannot explain how great it was and what a great job they do. They’re at Saint Philips bakery they are amazing at what they do!:)

The staff here is so kind, my wife and kids love coming here for snacks and food and the staff are always so welcoming.

Worst and terrible customer service and there was a scheduled time to pick up my wedding cake samples and went all the way from Oakville (2hrs one way) to pick it up and they said it wasn't ready at all and we did call on our way to make sure it is ready and they said half of them are ready and when we got there nothing was ready. It was so disappointing and there is a BIG problem communicating between the staffs working here. The baker chef at the cake station and the employees working there is not helpful and did not make the deadline (scheduled time to pick up our sample cake) and all the information that the baker said to prepare when we pick up our cake and nothing was ready. They asked us to come the next day and this was RIDICULOUS. The taste of the sample cake were so bad! Never ever going back to this bakery and worst service and did not apologize to me at all. They never respond to the email and never follow up with the clients. WORST SERVICE EVER.

This bakery use to be so good but now it is not the greatest.
Needs improvement on keeping things cleaner lots of flys on food.
Very disappointed was my go to place for desserts.

Had 1 bad experience ordered a certain size cake I paid when I went to pick up the girl charged me for a smaller one it was there mistake not mine when I argued with the owner he said that's what I paid for I needed the bigger one for a party and told him the mistake was on their end and should've given me the size I ordered he ignored me and told me he has so many customers that loosing me won't matter very rude never ordered another cake from them again

Ordered custom cake for my wedding from an online recipe. Sandy was very patient with us on the phone to make sure he understands exactly what we wanted so there won't be misunderstandings. He made us a sample cake that was more delicious than we expected! The final cake looked fantastic and tasted even better. All our guests loved it and made sure to tell us about it.

Busy place with great products, the fresh bread is the best, but you need to be early if you want to choose from a good variety, if not are just leftovers. My husband and I try canelloni, some almond cookies, and we have pizza, that was good. We will return in the morning to catch more things.

Purchased six pastries and a loaf of bread. The bread was good but all of the other pastries were stale. I called to discuss it with them and maybe get a credit for a future purchase since everyone only took one bite out of each pastry, and costed $30. A manager was supposed to get back to me and never heard back. Don't I feel dumb for driving 20 minutes for this place.

I love this place but it is Not what it used to be ️. Prices are crazy $33 fir a veal sandwich with peppers and mushrooms and three very small slices of cheese pizza and one small rice ball.to top it off the veal was like a shoe leather. Sadly I wont be going back so thanks for the memories.

Amazing strawberry shortcake for birthday celebration. Best I've ever had. Ordering via phone was very easy.

The food and coffee are actually good, but the service sometimes is slow and not really friendly. The place is a bit small and gets easily crowded.

Amazing Italian bakery. Friendly staff and gave fresh suggestions and small talk. Fresh bread baked daily and sandwiches are delicious. Good coffee too with some indoor spaces to eat and drink (once reopening happens)

Great selection of cakes, bread and sandwiches. Our simple order got messed up. Many issues with management need to be addressed. Staff looked stressed and overworked. Doesn’t help that even customers were being rude to staff. Not okay!

Wonderful, popular Italian bakery in Maple. Always crowded. Great variety of cakes and other pastries. Also has a nice deli counter with hot food for takeout or dining in when allowed. Excellent expresso too.

Where do I start. This place has the absolute best cheesecake cakes with fruit on top as well as a great selection of other desserts.

They also have lots of deli sandwiches available. Honestly I only go there for the cheesecake. But I’m sure the food must be good because there is always lots of people buying various items.

Prosciutto rolls. Need I say more? Ok.cannoli, marzipan, pizza buns, meatballs, lattes. Whatever you're in the mood for, they will have something to satisfy your craving.

Strawberry cheesecake here is PURE MAGIC! First had it about 20 years ago, when my martial arts instructor told me he knew the owner of this bakery that went to France to learn his craft. I've been by a few dozen times since over the years to impress friends and coworkers with this cheesecake! True story, but I've been with my wife for fifteen years, and I credit this cheesecake as one of the things that helped me win her over.she still asks for it every once in a while, after all this time.

Best cannolis. Go with the ricotta. Don’t waste your time on the cream filling ones. Yum. Like another reviewer mentioned the younger ladies behind the counter could be a little more pleasant - smiling doesn’t cost a thing.

Dropped a dozen zeppole in the foyer due to a customer who didn't keep the door open for me. They replaced them immediately! Great service, great bakery! Will always be a customer!
