St. Phillips Woodbridge

Went in before Christmas to buy a $29 small cheese cake, went home and checked my Visa statement and was charged $70! Check your statements y’all! I also ordered very expensive arancini and meatball and both were gross!

The food is good, but the customer service is so bad. The old woman on cashier is un respectful.and never smiles/greets clients. If she's so miserable with her job, then don't work there, instead of ruining everyone's day. Need better workers for sure!

Ordered a veal sandwich with onion and pepper. The meat and vegetables were cold. Cost $20. Would not recommend.

Recently had lunch here. I was charged for a veal sandwich despite ordering a rapini sandwich. They told me its the same thing. I accepted that, didn't want to make an issue. Then my friend ordered a slice of pizza, told him they'd warm it up. They served it to him cold. I think some training is required

Good espresso. Over priced. Ordered a slice of pizza and asked for it heated.it was cold.how difficult is heating a pizza? 2 stars.

There’s no complaints for this place! It is one of the only bakeries in Toronto that i can never get “sick” of their cakes!
Their sweets are unique and delicious, the tastes are unique again and amazing

They’re rude and look so uninterested to help you. This was the first and last time i’ll be going here. I got their gnocchi and it was mushy with no flavor. I couldn’t even pick it up with my fork without it drooping down. The photo attached doesn’t even do any justice. My nonna would be so disappointed…

So disappointed. I was at a communion and they served a strawberry sfoglia cake with sugar flowers. They used 1 inch metal wires to assemble the sugar flowers. They were embedded in the flowers. There was no way to see the metal pieces. The communion girl took a bite and began choking in the metal piece. It was traumatizing and ruined her special day. All the guests began panicking. The poor girl could have ended up in the hospital. Thankfully she managed to throw it up. A beautiful day that almost ended in tragedy.

This local spot full of Italian culture has fresh bread, a wide selection of desserts and meats, as well as a hot table. The prices are a bit outrageous for the hot table but it’s good food.

What a beautiful place. Just warm and buzzing with good food and vibes. I tried minestone, potato salad, pizza, zucchini fritter and ravioli everything qas made fresh with that homely vibe. Love this place

Had a wonderful late lunch with a dear friend and we so enjoyed a nice lunch of great homemade food. Then a beautiful latte. The service was wondering. Everyone was so friendly.

Great looking place with welcoming selection of merchandise and products. It's very unfortunate customer service is lacking when there are 3 staffs behind the counter and no one acknowledges you even tho they are not busy and noticed you.

Went here Dec 23 to get desserts for Christmas Eve. During an ice storm and it was still busy. However, I'm very happy to say the place was well staffed and they were very quick to hand out and serve people. I had the pastries I went there for within 3 minutes which is very fast considering it was busy I expected there to be low staff but I didn't feel there was. I also ended up getting lunch for the family out there hot table which had a great selection had that food paid for and was out in less than 10 minutes total. Pastries were very good food was exceptional. Everything is on the more pricey side but everything is freshly made so you definitely get what you pay for I will definitely be coming back to this bakery again and again. If you have not tried it and have a "usual" bakery that you go to, as do I and I think most people that even go to bakeries have a typical one they go to at least try this one it's great adding it to my list of "must trys"!

Good selection of baked goods, breads, and pizza. You need to place the pizza order in advance.

The employees are extremely rude. Pain for coffee and they walked away and 5 minutes later someone finally served me. Woodbridge attitude.

After the disgusting comments the staff made to me yesterday for standing up to the unequal and unfair Ford Government they have lost many loyal customers. Not one, but three staff questioned me about my morale in the strike and told me that we were using children as pawns. Disgusting!

Literally the worst customer service.
I went there 2 weeks ago to order my son's 2nd birthday cake. My son loves cars, I had to flip through the book 3 times because they didn't have any of the car theme toys and I really wanted my son to get to have the toy car afterwards. Np, things happen. Finally we settle on a cake that their sister store has in stock after about 5-10 minutes.
The night before pick up, at 5pm, I get a call from this place saying they dont have the cars in stock and if its ok, they will do a picture of a car.to which I replied.no, I wanted toy cars on top, not a picture. NO apologies by the way, not even a hint of remorse from these people. I sat on the phone for 9 minutes arguing with them for some sort of compensation and when they finally realized I wasn't letting it go, they gave me a $20 refund. Still no apology either.
My husband went the following day to pick up the cake, they opened it for him and magically it has a car so he was happy and they actually treated him nicely and still gave him the discount. Very sweet.well when he got home and i looked at the cake.it is not like the photo i chose at all.his name is spelled wrong.and he has one of the most common names in the world. Michael.how do you screw up Michael? I even spelled it for the lady when she took the order! Me being currently pregnant with twins, i am hormonal and emotional so of course it made me cry because this entire experience was just terrible! I have never in my life been so disappointed.and to top it off, the cake wasnt even that great, I took one bite and pushed it aside. A PREGNANT LADY PUSHED A NUTELLA CAKD ASIDE! Total trash.this entire bakery should be embarrassed.

Bought a cake here last minute for my parents anniversary. I got the strawberry shortcake. It was very good. They use real whipped cream and even in mid September the strawberries were very good. The cake was not very sweet and everyone enjoyed it. They even decorated a plaque for me. Their pricing is reasonable as well.

I wanted to get my wedding cake from this place. The service was terrible and the employees there does have a clear communication skills between the employees and the pastry chef. I went all the way from Oakville to pick our testers on Friday as scheduled time and they did not have ready and they did not properly apologize to us and we have to make a trip the next day for 2 hrs again. We will be going to other places for our wedding cake and not here. Worst customer service and a Pastry Chef Sandy at a cake station were bad. I followed up with him on the email that he sent and he never responds and he said to give us price range of the cake and he did not give us any information regarding to this. I never going there and the cake was too wet and melt it so quickly. I am not sure why people like this bakery.

Got a birthday cake here. Very clean, polite, friendly and quick service. Tons of options and food available! Great place if you have a hankering for Italian desserts, snacks, or food!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Rudest service ever. Food at the "hot" table was cold and bland, portion sizes are tiny with a VERY BIG price tag. Spoke with a manager who said someone would call me the next day, no one did. So many better bakeries in Woodbridge/Maple, do yourself a favour and avoid this place.

Great food, reasonably priced and very comfortable atmosphere. A wide variety of meats, pastries and the made fresh sandwiches are fantastic.

I have been going here for years! The bread is always fresh and the cakes are unbelievable! I have ordered for both my children's Communion and Confirmation cakes and always the Baci Sfoglia, it is to die for! My guests even ask for seconds. Highly recommend this Bakery.

Do not try to order a wedding cake from here. We've tried maybe 5 times to simply talk to the person who takes the cake orders. She apparently only works on Thursdays from 4 to 8 pm. Then you show up in that small time slot and she isn't even there. Not worth your time and effort. Trust me!

One of the worst experiences I have ever had. I ordered a cake and found a long grey hair inside of it. I then went into the store and told them about it. The woman told me that she wouldn't give me a refund because "it was impossible" that it was one her staffs hairs as no one has grey hair. I was shocked. After going back and forth for about 5 minutes arguing, I decided to leave without a refund. I WAS SHOCKED.

I will NEVER step foot into this place again. Rude horrible people who don't care about their customers after they ruined my daughters birthday cake.

Food is great. Selection is good. But don't order cakes from them. One year they forgot to make it, shifted the blame, then 3 hrs later called and said why I haven't picked up the cake. Clowns

Two years later order another cake, waiting to pick it up, it's not even on site. Being delivered. If an order is placed for 1: 00 don't plan to ahve it there 30 seconds before 1: 00 and then balance custom cake. We've ordered this cake from here for many years. Get your act together.

The staff are rude and usually annoyed with any order you have including a simple expresso. Which by the way is the worst I’ve tasted, probably because it takes a small effort to make it.

There are better bakery’s around, try them this place is overrated.

Now this place is has everything that could be found in a Italian bakery.assortment of pastries and yummy cakes fresh bread and buns and a hot table if one is hungry.

Got myself a loaf of bread both 3 o’clock in the afternoon and the very next morning it was already mouldy. Definitely would not recommend

Had the most terrible first time experience at this bakery. Order a cake for a 60th birthday - when I went to go pick it up the girl showed me it and the little chocolate piece said "Happy 65th Birthday" - I told her it was for a 60th - she looked at me and said nothing. So I said ok you need to fix it as it is for a 60th not 65th. She says oh if I fix it, it won't turn out good. Then proceed to pick up the chocolate piece and tries to scratch the top of the 5 with her fingernail to make it look like a 0. Absolutely terrible and disgusting.
Also the cake we got tasted absolutely terrible and had way too much cream.
Also they took my credit card - for if i didn't pick up the cake. I was scheduled to pick it up at 11: 30 and at 9 am they charged my credit card. I would have said something while I was there but the rudeness and disgusting-ness of the girl at giving me the cake made me just want to get out of there.
Never again will I order from here. If I could give no stars I would.

Amazing selection and everything is fresh! I wanted to try everything in site! Ended up buying a beautiful birthday cake, fresh bread, croissants, donuts and coffee. This place definitely lives up to it's reputation.

finished ordering and man let someone jump ahead in line, lady there wouldnt move to let us pay nevermind even leave then seeing that we were eating in the car, came beside our open windows to shake off her dusty broom multiple times

upon trying to exit, and her not moving, continued a conversation with a customer who also wouldnt let us leave and told us to move and use the other door…the other blocked and closed door with a sign and stacks of chairs and tables

My husband and I got a slice of pizza and while it wasn't bad, it wasn't quite what we were expecting. Staff run hot and cold with their temperament. Not bad, but can be better.

I called to place an order for a Birthday Cake and Domenica provided me with amazing customer service. I have ordered cakes from here before because the quality is great however this was the smoothest over the phone order thanks to Domenica!

Very good stuff but the staff at the counter is very rude and they serve customers with very bad manners it always seems that they are making a great sacrifice in serving us



The best Cakes and deserts in town. That Zeppole during Easter was sooooo good and to die for! No one does it better than these guys.

This is one of the most authentic Italian bakery you can find. I had zeppole and they were split delicious. Bread is very good as well. Also their amaretti are very tasty.

I am very impressed with a cake I had ordered for my daughter first communion. The cake was beautifully decorated, fresh, and tasted delicious. Excellent job

Ordered a classic RUM cake for a very special burthday. VERY dissappointed as no rum. Just sponge and cream.

Best feature about St. Phillips Bakery is the ambiance and the cozy home feeling you notice once you are in there, now when it comes to Food, this is when you will decide that this will not be your last visit, friendly atmosphere the workers there are very nice and friendly, the cold cuts are amazing, the espresso is great, as to price wise well it is not much different than other bakeries but you will be happy that is worth it.

Amazing staff. I walked in as they closed and never pressured me to hurry up, they actually told me to take my time. The capretti and zeppole, out of this world very fresh.

Overall a nice place to get coffee, baked goods, cold cuts and ready made food. Everything is delicious but things are crazy expensive. For example the price for zeppole feel like outright extortion sometimes. At one point, nearby Longo's was selling them cheaper and tasted identical. If I had tonguess I'd say St. Phillips supplied Longo's with theirs.

Absolutely love this place. Exceptional bread products, superb deli counter, fantastic hot table, sinfully delicious cakes and pastries, friendly, efficient service in a nice clean environment. Added bonus they are taking sufficient precautions during Covid-19. Highly recommended

I asked for a birthday cake two days before the event. I thank you for taking my order on short notice. The cake decorations and the theme exceeded my expectation. The cake looked grate and very delicious. The children and adults loved it. I thank all that were involved in making the cake. Good job my daughter was very happy.

I’ve been to this bakery many times! I highly recommend their Portuguese tarts, its delicious.

They offer a variety of options, from ready foods at the hot table to baked goods. A bit in the pricey side $$$ but definitely worth the splurge once in awhile.

Staff are young and rude. They make you feel as if your bothering them. The hot food service dept is rude and not friendly. The young owner is rude and if you have a concern regarding the service he will go on the staff side and make you feel as if you are at fault. I wouldn't go back even if it was free. I even found a hair on the food.

Just got back from Italy April 2019 and my kids enjoyed the tiramisu so I had to come to your cafe to pick one. We enjoyed it tremendously

The food amazing but the staff rude. The cashier, the blonde lady very rude. No customer service skills. Big fat zero. She put my pizza first in the bag and on top of the pizza she put the rest of my stuff, and when I told her to put it in a separate bag she gave me a dirty look. Which is common sense not to put stuff on top a pizza. Sorry but I'm not going there anymore. You need to train your staff properly before putting them on the floor. Staff is very important when it comes to any business
