Most poorly organized clinic I have ever seen. Got there at 5: 48 and doors are locked, hallway filled with patients and no way to register. Tried calling phone to see what was problem and got "Customer not available". Save yourself the trouble and go to London or emergency. This is 3rd time trying to use and each time never got to even see secretary to register.
The worst customer service ever, the Doctor seems ok, but the receptionist is a rude person, I got there at 8: 15 and gave me an attitude, if they don’t like people coming after 8: 00, they should adjust there hours!
Doctor lied to me about what medication he was going to give me. Better off going to the hospital. I had this medication before It wasn't a narcotic or benzo and the doctor gave me a prescription for medicines that dont work while telling me he was going to give the medication I requested. Third world stuff the wait times are brutal. It's messed up you got to check the prescription before our leave to see if the doctor gave you the right medication instead of lying to u.
Doctors are amazing, the medical receptionist is not great. She doesn't answer the phone and it's not clear at all how to get registered. You just sort of wait in the hall until she notices you. She will compleatly ignore you. I have 4 kids, ive been to my share of urgent care centers. This is the worst set up I've ever encountered. Last time I was here the medical receptionist was very rude to someone who wasn't able to read the signs.
New system in place, just take a number and be seated outside the door. Dr. Hertwig is exceptional like always. Love the reception very sweet and thoughtful. Happy things are back in place.
Dr. Singh was amazing. So was the receptionist (I didn’t get her name). I got in at 6: 45 and was out by 7: 50. There were about 7 people ahead of me when I got there. The reason I say Dr Singh was amazing is because he took time to listen to me, didn’t rush me, was very thorough and thoughtful in his explanation of what he thought and next steps. I would say this was one of the best experiences I’ve had with a Doctor, especially a walk-in clinic.
Dr. Hertwig Brian is an amazing person and hard working Dr. With lots of knowledge and experience I’m saying this because I had a terrible cough no could find the solution and in my first visit the medicine he gave me i got back my health. Thanks to him and I recommend this Dr. And his clinic to everyone he is the best doctor ever ever I have had experienced till now.
This clinic is absolutely so courteous and amazing. The receptionists are always kind and a big shout out to Dr Hertwig for always being so professional and healing! St Thomas is lucky to have this service!
You literally have to wait outside a locked door and call multiple times to get through just to register. The receptionist needs a new job too. There was a 2 year old that was just playing with the mail slot and she scolded him, even though the doctor told the mom to knock. Avoid this place like the plague.
I've never been. I can't go. As many of the previous reviews warned, the phone lines are busy and while I will keep trying, I probably won't get in and will likely end up sitting in the ER while I am bypassed by everyone else. Hooraaaaaaay
There needs to be a better way for people to get care. Should not have to call over 100 times and still not get through, I understand phones get busy but maybe have 2 lines being answered would help…. And everyone wonders why the wait at the ER is so long.
Finally get through to be told that they are full st thomas needs better options
I've NEVER in all my 31yrs going to this walk-in had a problem. The low stars are NOT warranted at all. Dr. Hertwig was my family doctor til he semi retired to the walk-in. He's amazing. Has always taken issues seriously. But keeps things light. He'll make sure you're thoroughly checked out and all issues addressed and any referrals you need he'll get them done. The secretary is a sweetheart. There needs to be a way to clean up those horrible old reviews. I think it's too many people in this town that like to complain and not enough that like to spread good experiences.
A big shout out to Dr Hertwig and his exceptional staff. You have no idea how much I appreciate your prompt, kind and knowledgeable service. You are a credit to the medical profession and I’d say the “ Gold Standard “ of what an out of hours emergency service should aspire to. I was very close to having a necessary visit to the ER with an awful painful debilitating contagious infection (not COVID but risky to vulnerable people and anyone in a hospital environment) and your professionalism and timeous attention reduced my anxiety beyond words. I had cause to use your services twice in 3 days, both of your reception ladies delivered outstanding compassionate customer service. I don’t underestimate the extreme pressure you are all under during these difficult times, just know you are truly appreciated for all that you do. My sincere thanks and kindest Regards . .
Walk in clinic is closed to the public. Only takes phone calls. Phone line is 100% unavailable every time you call. Been sick for 5 days and cannot get in contact with anyone. Very poor operation for closing the walk in clinic without opening up a better contact system.
They should tell you on the phone that the doctor will not see you if your unvaccinated. My initial intake phone call, the lady said “wait in the parking lot and the doctor will tell you if you should come in or not” Waited in my car for over an hour for a call back from the doctor… to find out I wouldn’t be accept in, phone call only (which was fine doing my appointment over the phone) Very frustrating. I would have just called from home.
Tried to call for walk-in hours, was unable to connect with anyone for about 20 minutes of non-stop calling. One call got through, the receptionist cut me off before I could even get through why I needed to see a doctor, tried to put me on hold, and failed so I got to hear the sounds of her struggling with the phone. Great experience thank you St. Thomas Walk-In Medical Clinic 10/10 would recommend. Hopefully your patients are mostly dead already.
I had recently injured myself by stepping on a nail and I arrived 15 minutes before they close, but despite that; Dr. Hertwig was friendly as ever and gave me a Tetanus shot (Td type). He is extremely personable and makes you feel comfortable from the moment he sees you. You feel like you're long time friends having a talk.
The waiting area is small, but I've seen smaller and you're there to get healthcare - the doctors are what matters.
There aren't any arrows to tell you where to go in the building (which is a medical center) but the clinic (Suite 105) is located on the first floor to the right if enter the back where you park.
Cant even enter building have to call but the line was busy for the full 3 hours this place was open. I literally cant get medical attention because I might be sick
Very good experience. Was worried after reading the reviews. Receptionist was excellent. Wait time quite short. Doctor Hertwig was wonderful! Would go again for sure.
Very tiny waiting room with a capacity of only 15 or so seats. Everyone in the room is within earshot of the receptionist desk. Certainly does not make it a pleasant experience to share any personal and medical information. There needs to be a larger facility that allows for such discretion.
