I'm not sure why the rating here is super low. I'm rating the print/shipping department of course. These guys work so hard even though they're under staffed and over worked. My print job was semi-complicated but Tyler, especially went above and beyond to accommodate my printing needs. His attention to detail is amazing and made the process very easy for me.

Five days before the Thanksgiving Day holiday, I went into Staples to have a print job done of thanksgiving day cards for my family. The lady at the counter told us everything that she couldn't do for us. Eg. "Can we have this paper? " Her reply was: "no, and you can't use this either". She wasn't eager to offer solutions, only the obstacles. This happened all the way through our order. She asked us when we wanted it. Ha ha. IT CLEARLY SAID 'Happy Thanksgiving'. I said before Sunday. Maybe Friday? She said that was fine and that they will email us when it was ready. I only needed 5 colour copies! Now here I am on Sunday without my cards. I called wondering if my order was ready and the man said no. I called again to cancel the order! This was a horrible experience and I won't be printing from there again! They have offered me a refund but it's not about the money. It's about the cards that I designed that I don't have for our family reunion. If I had considered switching my business printing to Staples, forget it. I will stick with VistaPrint!

Terrible service at the shipping counter… Total waste of time… Not coming back I would suggest others to do the same.

The print department at this location is terrible. The first time I needed assistance with the self-serve printers, no one was willing to offer help. I was repeatedly told, 'read instructions'. I ended up asking the desk to just print it for me (which is an extra cost). She handed me my package and good thing I checked to make sure everything was there. I was missing about 100 pages. I told her and she said "Oh the printer ran out of paper" and seemed annoyed by the inconvenience. No apologies offered. This second and final time I went in for printing I was successful in using the self-printers. I then required their binding services - it is staples after all. I paid $30 extra to have my documents done before the next business day (before 6PM). I expressed my need for them and they assured me I would receive an email that it would be ready by 6PM the next day. I called about 5PM that day inquiring about my documents, and they said "oh should be done between 6-8PM, you will receive an email when its ready to be picked up". I said "I paid for them to be finished by 6PM, will I receive my money back for same-day pickup if it is after? " I was then put on hold and after 10 minutes I hung up. I went into the Staples 2 days after I dropped off my documents and they had been ready by 6PM, (5: 35PM), and never received an email or phone call telling me they were ready for pick up. I was told it was probably in my spam/junk which it was not. Again, no sympathy or apologies were offered. I will never use their services again.

Steer CLEAR of manager Rob. Seemed very rude and unpleasant, and after our encounter I overheard him scolding a poor staff member. Not sure what is going on with management but clearly some issues.

Unorganized and deceiving employees.
We ordered Google camera online and came for pick up, but it was not ready at that time and they couldn’t go and grab it for quite some time, we left, thinking to come next few days. Unfortunately, we couldn’t do it, so we called the store and asked if they could hold it for us for few extra days; an employee talked to his manager and assured us that they will keep it for us to pick up as requested, should have added note on the order. When we came today, the camera was gone, sold to someone else and they could only say “sorry “.
Very unpleasant experience.

Sina was very helpful in finding everything I needed for a work project last week, and even taking the time to check other stores for my exact supply needs, the final results looked great! Thank you again!

Print shop is terrible. Strongly don’t recommend unless you put your order in online.
Tried to get one small peice of paper laminated, after waiting in line tell me a minimum hour wait? Lament machine is on and ready not doing any other jobs, why the wait? Turn around, put it on the machine hit the start botton and done. This is not a long task all of three minutes. Seriously by the time I paid it would have been done ‍️
Last time I was here they had one poor girl dealing with 15 costumers at the print and ship counter by herself. Manager just chatting with his colleagues. When I said something he grudgingly came over to help. Terrible customer service.

The location of this store is very convenient for me, because I live near by.
I am a regular and very loyal customer. I like this store. I want to say thank you to people who are always helpful, especially Orina and other colleagues working throughout her shift.
But the only person who hates customers and has never helped me is Sue. When I come to the desk, I always see only her back turned towards me and she never bother to say hello. She is always rude and it takes a long time until she comes to the desk. It looks like she is there not to serve people, but like she is doing you a favor just by looking your way and explaining something to you only because it is her job and she has to. To me, she always explains that she cannot help me out today and I should come another day, because she is very busy. NOBODY else from the staff says something like this.
Therefore, I do not think she is a right person to be a part of this very nice team. Her behavior is ruining the image of Staples. It appears to customers like she is lazy and like for her, it is easier to say that everything is impossible to the customer and ask them to come by another day, instead of helping them like they deserve to be helped.

The printer and fax machine are very convenient for people to use. But the other products are more expensive than the other chain stores

Came in to print 4 pages on cardstock paper. The older lady in the mask mentioned that it's going to take minimum 48 hours. 48 hours to print 4 pages? Sounds absurd. Took my business to your competitor UPS store down the street and had no issues printing within 10 minutes on the same paper. Will be making sure not to come here for printing needs

I made two orders, one for 8x11 paper prints (the gave me the wrong order, I didn’t get the posters in time for my son’s birthday party. I made another order for 40 4x6 photos and it’s been a week and it’s not ready. I called and they said 7-10 business days. It takes them 7-10 business days to do what I used to do at Walmart in 1 hour. That’s ridiculous. I am soooo upset I chose staples for my print orders and will never be back.

Please pick another location.lack of workers makes it so difficult to get anything done.my order said ready I came waited half hour just to find out it was not ready?

No matter what, don't print your photos at this store!
Story: I placed an order online to print some photos on the same day. As I didn't make the cut-off time, I went to the store the next day and was informed that the photos weren't ready, even though it was supposed to be a same-day print. I was told to come back in three hours. I figured that they wouldn't be ready by then and I'm glad I didn't go back to the store because they really weren't. I know this because the next day my husband went there and they were STILL NOT READY, even though I had paid more to have it printed the same day. This was 2 days later at this point. Well, my husband brings the photos home and they were THE WORST prints I had ever seen. They were worse than if I had printed them at home. Much worse. There goes my husband to the store again, shows them the photos, and gets a gift card from the manager as a "refund". I was very much upset about it since I wanted the money back of course, but I decided to keep the gift card and use it later to pay for our passport photos, to save the trouble. Much to my surprise, when I tried to do so, I was informed that I'd been given a "print card", one that can only pay for printing services. Can you imagine how upset I am? I had to throw the photos I ordered IN THE TRASH, how am I EVER going to use this gift card to print anything again? This is crazy and I don't even want to set foot at Staples ever again.

My dear amazing grandmother went to this is establishment after going to the Aurora staples and they both were terrible. She waited 20 minutes while the people behind the counter just stood there talking once they actually helped her they just said we can’t do that they are very unprofessional don’t visit this STAPLES

Wasted 30 mins trying to use their fax services. One machine jammed and the other one wasn't working either. Asked for assistance but after waiting for more than 15 mins just gave up and left.

I have had a really horrible experience with this store. I typically print here weekly for work purposes. I put in an order for personal prints a few weeks ago. I chose 5 prints of 4x6 which typically takes 5 minutes at Walmart. I called the next day and they said they put the order through a separate company and it would take up to 10 business days to print. It has now been 10 days and no confirmation email yet. I have called the print department 10 times today and have gotten told to call back another time because associates are busy (voicemail). I also called last week and didn’t get an answer until the 4th time and was told they had many staff members sick. I’m sorry but you still answer the phone or have a manager manage the phone calls. Just a absolute horrible experience. Will be going to ANY other staples over this one in the future.

Worst store I've been to in a while. They lied about the turnover of a printing job, they refused to refund our order and the store manager (Ben) was extremely rude in the process. In addition to all that, 5 different people in the whole store and they didn't know how to add paper into a printer at the self service section.

Although it is evident this location (print shop) is busy and possibly understaffed, Sue goes above and beyond to make sure we leave happy, taken care of and understood. Her service at the print shop at this staples store is an asset. Thank you Sue!

Lot of workers moving around - no one helps! More than 35 min I was waiting for my passport pictures! At the end they was not able to find them! They lost the pictures! Unbelievable!
Additionally, a worker named Sue clarified me what a bad customer I am! Wow!

The most careless, unprofessional and disordered branch of Staples!

Do not place a print order here. I ordered a “same day pickup” on Tuesday, came Wednesday afternoon and they could not find my order and it wasn’t ready. They told me to come back in a few days and I said absolutely not since I paid extra for the SAME day which was already late. Not to mention there were 3 other people there who had the same issue as me where their same day order wasn’t ready after waiting a few days. I tried to call in advance and nobody answers their phones at this location. I had to take the rest of the day off of work to wait around for 2 hours for them to complete my order that should of been done yesterday.

Not happy with customer service of print section and their process is so inconvenient and not practical at all. Waited in line only to be ignored while the lady went on her break, cool, people need breaks. No signage advising as such, but realized it’s self serve photocopy. However to photocopy, their machines will only accept Visa or their gift card. I asked the one lady behind the print section for help, and let’s just say she should not be answering any inquiries as she looked annoyed that I asked for help. Please explain to me why you cannot accept my MasterCard or Debit or Cash from the POS systems up front and photocopy two pages? The lady had the audacity to tell me to purchase a $20 gift card to photocopy 2 pages of A4 paper, which probably costed $2 at most. Lol. Everyone else is cool and super nice, it’s like a night and day customer service difference between the floor and print staff.

How the is it possible that you leave 5 sheets of paper to be scanned and after 4 days your employees can't even find the sheets or have even scanned it?

Customer service is so - so.the Lady that works at the Print center just ignored us, even after we asked for help 3 times!

Has to be the worst staples I have been to. All the staff was more worried about gossiping then helping customers. I was sent the 4 different cashes by people and hate to wait for no reason. Then when I tried to use the print area I asked for help. At 38 cents a minute they took there time slowly coming over not really helping and let me waste 7 dollars just trying to figure out how to make there printer work. They don’t not offer any help or reimbursement for time lost. Not please will never return to this location.

Horrible service, not enough staff. Those who finally attempt to provide service, seem like they’re lost and clueless. They keep you waiting and waiting….

Placed an order for pickup, no confirmation or cancellation email 4 days later. Called them and the rude lady on the phone said my order number doesn't exist.lol? Made it seem like it was somehow my problem. She then gave me the customer service number for American Staples.how incompetent do you have to be. Wasted an hour on the phone to find out they cancelled my order and didn't bother sending an email.

Miserable experience of getting bounced around by staff, and waiting for an hour and a half to print a single sheet of paper. This is my second time here, just as poor of an experience as the first. Do yourself a favor and don't come here.

Not sure why I was told to come back another day to use printers as it was out of paper. Is it so hard to load the paper that you’re sending customers away? Without even bothering to take a look at the machine? Nice customer service I love that for you guys…

Please don't waste your time in Newmarket staples print center. Young lady working there is not helpful and slow. For a simple pdf print she asked me to wait 3 business days. I was there 2 days in row Apr 10th and 11th and left the store without print.

Would be nice if someone answered the FKN phone, so customers don’t have to drive to the store to get answers. I’ve called several times and can never get through!

Rude Incompetent staff. Slow service. Two hours to make copies. Lost $40 that I can’t get back. And the price for the copies was OUTRAGEOUS. So sad. No one seems to have work ethic anymore well at least here.

Been here a few times in the past and have never had any issues with this store. They always have good service, always greet me when I enter and I always find the products I need here. They are never out of stock. I used their copy centre services as well and they are quite professional on what need you done.

Ordered a chair on line from this location.inventory states they have 3 in stock. Order is cancelled 3 minutes later. Call to follow up - employee says they're aren't any in stock. I tell her the website says otherwise and then ask if she can find me a chair of similar value that is in stock.she says no because they're busy (no one is in the store right now so I guess she just didn't feel like providing customer service) says someone will call me back. I ask how people are supposed to shop online if they're inventory isn't accurate? And if she's not willing to help find an alternative I guess we just shop elsewhere. Such a shame. I guess they're ok losing sales in this current environment.

Store manager Caroline very incompetent. No such policy the costumer come first she waisr.my time the other day for almost hour and in the end she didn't do anything regarding my purchase item warranted. I will never go back to do any shopping to stapples

Curbside pickup from here was smooth and hassle free. When this store is open it's always well stocked and clean.

I'm an instacart shopper. I just went into the shop for the batche from the customer. At least 3 people do not know about instacart and they made fun of me and threw it out by holding my arm. They didn't even listen to me. Now I complain as much as I can, please support.

My friend works for Instacart and needed to get supplies from this Staples location to take to the customer. When she told the employees, they laughed at her and mocked her saying they have never heard of Instacart. Then they GRABBED HER BY THE ARM AND PUSHED HER OUT! How is this allowed and especially during Covid? !? !

The people working in front of the door was horrible.they forced my friend to go out the store by pushing although she said she was a shopper of instacard.

Today my friend had a very bad experience with this place. She is an instacart shopper. She was not allowed to get into the store because the employees told her that they did not know about instacart and they pulled her from the arms and put her outside. Shame on Staples! Educate your employees!

Rudest people here. Won’t recommend to anyone. It’s surprising Staples allows people like these to work in their stores.

I went in and walked to the desk on the left as that was the only person I could find. The older looking lady was on her phone and didn't even notice me, I had to yell "hello? " For her attention and she said "one minute" while continuing being on her phone. Garbage customer service. I was not helped once during the trip, which was too bad because I needed to find a product which was quite well hidden. It had the wrong price tag anyway. Around the printer section there was two men, an older and younger man just standing around talking as if they were at a bar and not at work.
Terrible experience, go to the walmart close to staples, at least it'll be more useful.

Initially did not have a good experience, but after asking to speak to a manager Sayed my entire experience went from a zero stars to 5 stars. I guess this review is based more on my experience with Sayed as he was GREAT. Thank you for taking the time to help me print two photos and ensuring they would fit in the frame. You are a good man

ZERO stars. I went into staples today to buy some office chairs and desks for my office. I wanted to make sure I got it sorted properly so I asked if anyone was on the sales floor to assist me. I waited by the chairs and was met by the extremely rude and horribly unhelpful Carloline. Never in my life have I ever been treated so poorly and disrespectfully. I left without buying what I came in for very unhappy with the lack of service. This manager got in the of a very simple smooth sale. Looks like they dont care who they hire. I will never shop at Staples ever again not even online. I will steer them away from this horrid shopping experience. Not a shop for professional adults the manager is still acting like a child. ZERO STARS

Bought a couple of computers here over the years, and purchased all my office supplies here. You can get and use air mile points here, Faxing, copying and printing available here. Loads of parking

Jacob is a fantastic employee. The man always comes up and asks me if I need help when nobody else does. He does a great job at holding up the Staples reputation.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Print services are great. Just wish they had a greater selection of products in store as I often have to order on line to get what I need.

10 plus people working in the store and I was the only customer, and not one person greeted me. Then I was going to buy 4 stools and a few small stuff for my business (approx $500). Waited.waited.waited.loss of sale. Going home to shop local.

Garbage. This store has the worst service. Do you not want my money? Twice now I tried to purchase a desk and chair, no employees to be found except for the ones who know absolutely nothing.

Picked up my printer curb side and was promised a receipt to be emailed out right away, after numerous calls and emails to newmarket staples I still never received receipt. I know theses are crazy times but at least tell me next month we will email one out don't lie. I give up.

I ordered a MacBook online and pick up from this store. I got call an email from Staples that my item is ready for pick up when I went to the store they told me it’s not in stock!? Because the one I bought was on sale. And high demand

Went looking for a new desk. Nobody around to help, they were all talking near the cashier. Went to the front for help. Guy says there is 3 in stock and goes to grab one. Comes back 10 minutes later and says he cant find any.he returns to the cashier.

Had another great experience at Staples Newmarket location. I thought my printer was still under warranty but it was not. Ryan, helped me to find a great printer and a manufacturer discount to help me offset the cost of new printer. I was in a pickle and Staples came through again. This store is my go to for all my business needs. Thank you Staples Team Members your doing a great job!

Only 2 people working behind counter at copy/shipping centre the week before Christmas? Waited in line for what felt like forever.and finally gave up!

My experience here is always hit or miss. Office/school supplies, always a hit. Anything you need in that way, they always have it. But when it comes to printing the self serve can be tricky depend on file size and inevitably you ask for help. Negating self serve. Then, when you try to get custom prints, you have to get a degree in economics or law to understand the pricing or their printing policies.

Excellent customer service, wide selection, placed order online, everything was shipped next day, prices are always competitive.

STaples is always a good place to get those much needed office items. They have some good pricing and the sales people are always friendly.

Staples is a place that I tend to go to whenever I need specific home office supplies, ink for my printer, and a whole host of other items to.lengthy to mention here. I would say I visit then at least a half dozen times a year, again quite specific to hone office needs, but this is an excellent store.

The service was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. And the price of the product was more reasonable than I expected.

Poor service from an unhelpful member of staff in the print marketing department. Went to the Aurora location instead and they were really helpful and friendly.

We asked to have one thing printed 10min before closing and the staff refused saying he doesn't have enough time to do closing duties. This document was something we needed for the next day, it would have taken just a couple minutes to print and store hours are stated as being open until 9pm.

Staples is the most boring store that really doesn't have any business selling anything more than pencils and paper + basic office supplies.

Typical Staples. Notice that they have little gadgets at the front near the check out, similar to Indigo. Fairly spacious with all the office supplies you need including lint roller.

Self Serve Printing services, didn’t work correctly. I tried to print 3 copies of something twice and only got 1. After showing the receipt to the associate at the printing centre she couldn’t figure out how to refund me. She then called over the manager who didn’t seem to care in the slightest and proceeded to just pull a toonie out of his pocket and throw it in the counter for me. No apologies or anything from either the associate or the manager.

UPDATE JUNE 5th
Supervisor at the printing service was extremely rude to not only myself but blew off another staples associates input on an extra charge on my bill. He wouldn’t explain to me why I was charged this extra printing fee just kept saying “it’s fine”. They other associates explained to me exactly what each charge was for and broke down my bill (she noticed the error) but the supervisor was the one to cash me out so after bringing up the charge to him, he blew me off and was rude to myself and the other helpful associate!
