I just finished an unpleasant interaction with a Sales Associate at Staples in the Solution Shop
I was dropping off a return package for Amazon
The start of my return drop off and ship back to Amazon started by a greeting that wasn't the friendliest of greetings but it was fine and I was looking down at my phone while he was processing my order
When asked if I wanted the transaction details with tracking number
I looked up and said "Oui s'il vous plait et merci"
My mother tongue is French and it just came out

The sales associate looked at me and he raised his tone just enough to be firm and annoyed and said to me "Is that a Yes or a No"

I have never been talked to like this in Ottawa and I am perfectly bilingue not to mention I'm polite and sincere and appreciative when someone does a service for me
I live in South Keys near the Ottawa International Airport and it's Bilingual here from my experiences
I spoke my language that is a language of the country of Canada

I'm will not ever be returning to Staples again and I mean any store or online
I was discriminated for my French language used while trying to get a drop off done

Shame on Staples

HORRIBLE customer service in the printing area. I went to print my sons invitations because I’ve always had great service in the past. The guy behind the counter literally told me “I can’t help you right now… I have customers In line”
So what am I?
It seemed like I was bothering him and offered no help what so ever.

I’m on a time crunch to get them done so had to waste a few days to figure out how to do them. I also ordered some other stuff to print. I got an email saying my order is ready but not telling me it was only part of it. I went out of my way on my day off to pick it up only to find out I will have to go back

Staff at printing are very helpful. They could use more help. I have also been served by a variety CSRs in other departments and everyone has been helpful and pleasant.

Had what we were looking for, but there wasn't enough staff to cater to the number of customers that were present. This caused a pretty long wait in order to simply just cash out. Lighting was also weirdly dim.

Wow. Never going back. Such lazy staff. So many doing nothing but socializing with each other. Amazon has the same prices as them on sale. Avoid this place

Today (Christmas Eve morning!) I was assisted by the most amazing employee at Staples, South Keys. Her name is Joumana. The last time that I was at Staples to print pictures, it took over an hour for me to try to do it myself, as I’m not super tech-savvy and was unfamiliar with their system. But Joumana took the time to help me, and it took her only a few minutes! She was also incredibly personable and funny! Even though I know it’s recommended that customers use the self-service stations for pictures, I am incredibly grateful for the assistance given to me today! It made a very stressful morning so much better! I’ll be back to this location for sure! Thank you!

My go to place for prints, always welcomed by staff, they understand what you want to do, they always provide assistance when you need it. Quality of prints are great. Prices are not too low or too high, I think it's still reasonable for what I use them for.

Poor services, this is my second times that I ordered the same day print out pickup and my order didn't ready in same day!
This time they said that the printer is broken and out of service!
They didn't call me or email me in advance to explain this issue.
My plan is to use this poster tomorrow.
Staples didn't care for what's happening for their clients if they didn't respect their promises!

Have empty boxes on the shelf and have everything in a lockup, which is fine.but then stand in line for 15 mins to find out they don't have any left. Dont leave the boxes on the shelf if you have none left. Told 2 clerks who really didn't care to take the boxes off the shelf. Waste of time.

Marcus is an incompetent, useless and rude "manager"
I wanted my kids "back to school" signs printed so I gave the documents to the hijabi girl and she started printing them the incorrect size. She printed like 30 pages! And none of them were the size that I wanted. Marcus then saw the situation and instead of helping he raised his voice to me "ma'am we can't keep printing this for you, we went above and beyond" I replied "but it's not my fault that she is not printing it the Correct size" and he said "that's not our job, you are supposed to bring us the document with the size that you want, we are not trained to do that" and I said "last year I went to the Barrhaven location and the employee knew what I wanted and printed it super quick" and he said "well maybe you got lucky because we don't do that, you can fix the measurements on photoshop and come back so we can print it as is" and I said "wow ok, I want my refund". He then told the hijabi girl to give me a refund.then I left the store. I went to the Barrhaven one and the employee told me "no problem, I can re-size it for you, just let me know the measurements" and guess what? HE DID AN AMAZING JOB!

Always understaffed. Every time i drop off a package i always need to wait 30 minutes just to speak with someone for 10 seconds.

Great help from Myriam at the print shop. We had to tweak a picture a few times and she was very patient until we got it right. Her attitude is very positive and she is extremely helpful.

I have been to this Staples outlet at South Keys Mall few times and the staff and supervisor surprise me every time with their exceptional great service and professionalism. It started when I was trying to purchase an office chair. A young lady was assigned to help me. She was super patient while explaining all the features to a client with no experience, I regret not takingher name to thank her personally. When time came to exchange the chair due to its huge size, I met with the supervisor Natasha, who is a real example of a high standard service provider. I salute her as it is rarely seen such a great service in today's market. She is an asset in this company and I believe leaders like her should be used as role model to coach the young generation on the importance of qulity while providing such a service like sales. I wish to thank you all at this branch and wish you the best. Wafa

Dev and Chad have been the most helpful to me every time I go into this location. I came here a lot for printing and scanning during an application process and they helped me every step of the way 10/10 for them. Such wonderful people.

I feel Staples deserves much more credit. Great store with amazing selection of products. I've bought everything from pens to laptops, even reading glasses.

I purchased an apple watch with 3 months flexiti payment. But the manager (employee number 1685648) billed it as a regular one time purchase. She didn’t properly answer our queries as well. I called the store so many times to rectify but didn’t answer the call. Now I have to pay 18$ as interest for late payment. Coz of blunder mistakes of such employees, others have to suffer. Never purchasing from the Staples again.

`I visited 6 June 2022 around 0700 P. M.
I was in security guard uniform ahead of me come guy talk to arabic woman and she refused to service me told me that pay system not working,
I ask how to confirm that you say correct staff she refused to answer. Big fat guy that work with telling same false statement to me.i was refused to service due to hate reason, this people refused service me before.

It was my first time ordering printing services at Staples and I was ignorant of the process since i normally print from the office (our printers broke). I called the store (Friday) and ran through the voice-mail options to the Printing services. Chad from this store answered and I asked if I was able to print out for same day pick up because I needed it for today (Saturday). He said that the print shop was full up and that I would be able to pick up on Sunday or Monday (well past the day I needed it). I was disappointed and was internally running options through my head in order to fulfill my needs as Director of Operations of a business; however, instead of hanging up, he asked me how many copies I was looking for. I said 16 copies. He said he would do this for me as the last task of his shift and would make sure it was done. Wow, I thought. I thanked him and he directed me how to process an order on the website. I asked him if he had any other paper than white computer paper and he ran me through the options as I was on the website. I was thinking Pink, for branding purposes, but I picked "Ivory Linen" from his list of choices because it intrigued me. Order submitted and I thanked him once again for his help. The website experience was acceptable, but I can see a few parts where the process can be streamlined. I went to pick up the order today and I was able to find my way to the counter very easily. I provided my name and picked up the paper, which was bagged up in a branded paper bag that had a quality assurance sticker on it. The attendant asked if I wanted to check the quality so I took his invitation and looked inside. Wow. The paper was fantastic. The surface of the paper had finely-knit relief and it was a beautiful vintage look. It almost looked like a wedding invitation. This is a handout that people are inclined to keep, which is the point. The paper was so good that I asked the attendant if the store had this paper for sale. He pointed me down an aisle but warned me that there may be none in stock due to shortage. As expected, I didn't find any to buy for myself, but I had my documents at least. I'll be on the lookout, so Corporate Staples, please be advised: I need fancy paper; this is an easy conversion! But the main point of this review is to thank Chad, who went above expectations and provided a personable service which I wasn't expecting. Good things are often unexpected.

Always choose self serve for printing, the staffs are helpful but sometimes its hard to find someone for any questions. It has ample parking space so no need to worry about the parking.

I went their to photocopy papers all the machine were not in use except for two machine then when I got machine had trouble with it gave me blank paper got my change 20 cents the manager did not look happy the girl comes say machine was jam the only person that nice was the guy that help me I never go theor for photocopy ever most frustrating encounter I had

30min wait to have staff bring down an item on upper level shelf. Many other customers waiting for similar and too few staff available to assist. Then a 10min wait to pay in a line with one cashier. I would have bought online, but the last time I tried that on the day the item was supposed to arrive I got an email saying it wasn't available and they'd canceled the order. Store is tidy but that's about all it has going for it.

Really disappointed in the quality of the prints for our Christmas postcards this year. The photos turned out really orange, and they said it was the printer. So we had to adjust the colour of our photos and put the order through again (which took a few extra days with the holidays even though we ordered same-day pick up). The second time there were a bunch of cards that weren’t cut properly and had text instructions on the edge. Good thing we ordered extra because those ones were unusable. Not using Staples for printing pictures or cards again.

This place is a joke. They NEVER answer the phone! So you can’t make inquiries unless you physically go to the store. Why have the option to call if no one answers the phone?

I went to this location to try and print a very tiny picture to put into a locket for my girlfriend. Emily went above and beyond to try to help me and I super appreciate her assistance with this. She made sure it was going to work and that it would look nice. 5 star customer service from Emily!

This store located in Southkeys shopping centre. It's quite a big store and you can find most variety of Staples products and services including a very good printing section both selfservice print and printing services by employees. Their staff are professional and always available for help. Thier printing section are well equipped.

Was at the print this morning, was getting a Passport photo done, Dev helped us and he was great! Great service! In and out on few mins! And it's only $14 everywhere else $20-60.

This business is a tip off. They charge 30 cents a minute to scan documents. Ps they scan a 345kb doc and return it as a 35 MB and store it on the desktop and then you have to upload it to your email which is soooo slow because of the size. I had 2 dollars on my card and I barely was able to scan two pages. It was beeping at me. I was so stressed out. I boycut them to anyone in Ottawa use the public library it is free! Just saying.

Not helpful at all, especially since what I was asking about was purchased at their location. I was offered technical support but I would have to pay $19.99 per mo. For a year. All I wanted was confirmations of my print settings. God forbid anyone should do anything helpful without a surcharge. Heading to Best Buy next purchase at least they allow their employees to use their discretion.

I went in for printer cartridges, but the one I was looking for wasn't on the shelf. I asked a staff member who was passing by, Pat, and he went to the back to look for it. After not finding it, he searched a new shipment that had just been brought out. After not finding it there either, he went to the back again just in case and managed to find what I was looking for (it had been misplaced in the back).

Found something I liked to buy, was priced at 28.99. At the register they told me it was over $40. Pointed out their mistake (4 items priced at 28.99) and they told me "someone" must have done it. Really people.last time I spent money at Staples!

Was pretty underwhelmed. From a confusing Covid layouy, to a staff that didn't seem very attentive, it was not the easiest or safest way to make a bunch of copies.
