Staff at this location are rude, I get there busy but it’s early and ppl are not fully awake, have some human understanding and not just be robots

Staff is always quick and friendly. I’ve personally worked at Starbucks for more than a year and I go to this location regularly. The only issue is sometimes they get my drink made wrong and they did remake it with no issue but this is usually due to having someone new training so shouldn’t happen often.

I had the best experience when I visited the location today.

I am staying in a hotel nearby with my dog and was feeling very uncomfortable leaving him alone in a room. We walked past the Starbucks and I really wanted some breakfast, so I poked my head in and asked if I could please give them my order from the door because I know dogs are not allowed. Then the supervisor on shift, or the manager of the store one-upped me. She asked if she could please just take my sweet boy (who is is also a pretty big boy) outside and wait with him while I order.

I don't know if they realized but they caught me in a really tough morning having a really hard moment and this could've been the make or break point of the day.

Quick stop over for coffee and hot water for the baby formula. This locations is at a busy corner in Ottawa's downtown, so if you double park, make it quick. Otherwise you will be ticketed.

It was my first time visiting last week, and due to the importance of my call it was a bad choice. The music was extremly loud that you couldn't quite hear yourself think much less speak to someone else or concentrate enough to get any work done. This was different from other starbucks I have visited across North America which either played music very low or had no background music playing. Overall the customer service was quick and responsive, drink was good (marble hot choc) and the establishment was clean and well kept. But despite all that not for me, even though its one of the only starbucks still open in the downtown core. So trying to give them the benfit of the doubt, I could have likely spoken to them about it as well, but I could not leave my important call. But despite all the issues with the noise I will give them at least 3 overall. The noise issue can be easily resolved but should be addressed as it impacts the overall ambience, and they should have more sensitivity to different people visiting their establishment than just the staff that work there and enjoy their music. I love listening to loud music but this was not the place for it.

Yesterday was my trip to the Canada Science and Technology Museum and I had two stops in this Starbucks branch, before and after my trip. It was a very pleasant experience and the staff are well-trained. The morning staff was able to keep the line going in a normal pace with a gap of 2-3 minute between customers; given the busy morning schedule of this cafe, that's pretty impressive. Their hard work is evident and the smiles on the faces were present, as they should be. The afternoon staff finished my exchange request in less than 5 minutes, and with only **1** relay of instruction without forgetting confirmations for preferences. The afternoon staff displayed an amazing teamwork on this request and a wonderful customer service, as it should be. Both visits on the same day did not disappoint, sleek and efficient. Keep it up! (Apologies for the delay in this promised review, thanks again!)

So when they shut down my favorite and one of a kind Starbucks on York St, I was devastated. Mind you the staff that all lost their jobs were more so but when I heard that a bunch of them got relocated here, well I had to follow. Same great people, with some newbies sprinkled in and same great service. Much busier location so I don't get to chat with them as much as the old spot but well worth the visit to catch up. Maddie is amazing and her staff are top notch!

Fast service it busy at this time, clean restroom only 1 handicapped, patio outside to enjoy nice eve weather

Nice Chai tea, also tried chicken and bacon sandwich it was good just wish that they had more condiments like mustard and hot sauce. The sandwich is pricy aswell

This is my 1st and most favorite Starbucks, the baristas are always so friendly and fun!
I just love this place never disappointing!

This Starbucks outlet is one of the cleanest and one with very courteous staff I have come across.
They are located on the main road and quite easy to spot.
They are usually stocked up all their drinks, food and condiments along with mugs and goodies.
They have a quite a lot do dove inside for a couple of people to stand at any given time.
However, they are a bit on the pricey side. I guess Starbucks in general are compared toothed local coffee shops.

This is the third time I ordered through the app and they did not get my order right. Again today I ordered a tchai latte with extra pumps but the tchai barely taste like tchai but more like milk. I don’t think I will order from that place anymore.

The servers are very nice and friendly.
However, I do think their quality lacks, more comparatively to Starbucks in Rideau Centre.
I would order the same drinks from the two locations, and the drink would taste quite different with different quality (Rideau being the much better quality).
The below three drinks in two pictures are all the exact same drinks I have ordered at both locations, but have received very different results.

We ordered the two Coconut drinks (Matcha and Guava).
The matcha was too heavy and thick that it was very bitter and felt like I was drinking a healthy shake, than enjoying a delicious drink.
The Guava was watery and just okay.

For the bottom picture Matcha Latte with Sweet Foam, the foam was non-existent and the latte itself was pretty bitter as well.

The staff here are a group of the most miserable people I have ever encountered. Especially the girl who wears the long jean smock.

The downtown may be quiet, but the service at this location is always top notch. Staff is friendly and prompt.

Living downtown Ottawa I'm in walking distance of about 12 Starbucks locations, a few of which have closed since covid started.this location is by far the best and I am really hoping it survives the planned closures Starbucks recently announced.

The customer service at this particular store was very cheerful, but one of the staff seemed a bit out of it and was unsure about their inventory. I'm a big Starbucks fan, so I can chalk the experience up to an off day!

This has been my go-to Starbucks for almost 2 years now working downtown, and the staff are always very friendly, efficient, and make for a very enjoyable experience. Plus, the recent remodel (pre-covid) makes it in my opinion the most attractive Starbucks in town.

I would go a little out of my way to go here rather than one of the other locations downtown.

Friendly staff, place is clean, everyone masked up, order is fast enough and correct. No complaints at all.

Clean, friendly and not too busy when I stopped in. I had the iced peach green tea and a blueberry scone. Both were delicious!

This particular location is hit or miss of the few times I visited. Some of the time it was great and other times the staff were less than friendly. A lot of people also do not wear masks into this location during the facial covering mandate, which could become very uncomfortable since it is not very large in the area to wait for your order.

Used app, great and fast service. Grande Chai Tea Latte was amazing. Sat street side and had a nice coffee visit.

One of my favorites Starbucks locations simply because of the fact that it quiet even though it's busy if that makes any sense. Bustling with a crowd working professionals or students and they're doing a great job of keeping the place clean.
Love the INDOOR DECORATION and i say that as a fashion hating straight man.

The coffe and service was good. But I hate the pretentious names of the coffee sizes I asked for a regular medium an they gi e me a grande whatever size that is. One thing is it was not a medium coffee. It was large. I find it just a waste because I can barely drink a medium.
I ask for a scone, I can tell it was not a real scone. It was a american grit biscuit they dressed up to look like a scone. But it was obviously made with margarine or vegetable oil Real scones are made with lard or butter. I dont like paying top dollar for imitations. Next time I go to Bridgehead or the Sconewitch for real scones.

Just something about the location that gave off the impression of a really clean, professional and warm place to come in from the cold. Usually I go to Starbucks for the 'coffee and study' flurry of millenials writing essays and preparing for exams which fills the air with a heavy angst but this time around I actually found myself in the quiet aesthetic of business class meetings and silent judgment - it was quite productive!

I have been to Starbucks all over Ottawa and this is hands down the best one. They always make my drinks perfectly and every single worker is always super professional and friendly

The service was really great and friendly, and the washroom was clean. However, a low rating for the very unwelcoming lack of seating available! There's a bar table that extends along an entire wall, but only 3 (!) Bar stools along the whole thing. A few tables at the back, but could be better laid put to arrange for more seating. The layout says "pay and get the hell out! "

Buzy but suprisingly quick and accurate. Recommended for anyone in the area with a need for starbuck

I often visits this place and always had great experience. The service was great enough and the way they communicate was appreciable.

Loved coming here. Good location, clean store and friendly baristas. One barista named Katherine was making drinks and looked like she was genuinely having a conversation with the customers. Another barista Payal took my complicated order correctly and had the biggest smile while talking to me and other customers. Keep up the good work.

Decent location grab a bagel here and there when I work downtown open till 9 is nice needs to crank the heating in winter tho

This is why I dont get to Starbucks anymore, I went to order 2 chocolate croissants and I get something completely different.
I was in a rush since my bus was coming soon and didnt find out I got the wrong order until I got home.
It wasnt busy, there were only 2 people in the coffee shop.

First off, I'm a Starbucks fan but this is easily the worst location in the city, maybe the worst I've ever visited. While it's too busy, which is not their fault, it is poorly laid out, the staff are rude and recently I was burnt by another customer and a big reason is the stores lay out. I don't blame the other customer. The milk for coffees and other drinks are directly behind the cash so when I turned around another customer was heading to order and banged into my arm burning my hand. If I had my kids with me I would have burnt them and then I'd be really mad.

I emailed Starbucks to let them know I thought this layout was problematic and maybe they should consider putting lids on coffees before handing to customers and I recieved this response.
 

"Thank you for taking time to reach out and share your concerns with us about the visit you had yesterday. I am truly sorry to hear that you were burned when another patron bumped into you. I was able to connect with the store and share your concerns with the store manager who indicates to reduce the chance of cross contamination, and due to stricter food safety laws in Canada our beverages served in the cafe are not lidded. "

They went on to say they'd share my concern but clearly the store manager is trying to suggest this is a regulation issue, which is false as mobile orders are provided with lids. I work for the government and I hate when people blame government for something that has nothing to do with them, so I'm going to share this response with the city and the province to see what they have to say. Cross contamination is much more likely with a coffee with no lid so this sounds like a manager trying to pass on blame.

Go to the Starbucks down the road at the sunlife building. They're super friendly, keep ahead of orders and the milk is in a safer location. To prove I'm not a cranky person who only gives negative reviews I'll be sure to give them a five stars.

 Avoid this one. It's busy. They won't miss you.

Too expensive and the baristas could benefit from a visit to Italy to view how its really done - especially the interactions with patrons.

I always stop at the Albert/Kent Street location downtown on my way to work in the morning. I always have a white moccha with a baguette-bagel with butter and cream cheese - so delish! The people working there are super friendly. Devin and another lady (do not remember her name) always know my name when i go in. I definitely recommend this place.

It was my first time at this location as I was going to the bus stop across the street. The cashier "Megha" was very rude and unenthusiastic - maybe she was having a bad morning, maybe she just hated her job. She made me repeat my order 5 times, let me struggle trying to scan my rewards card on my phone (didn't pick up the scanner to accurately point it at my phone), and did not ask me if I wanted anything else so we stood there awkwardly at the end until I said that was it.

However, there was a barista making drinks - Katherine. She seems like she really enjoyed her job, kept conversations going with the regulars while making the drinks, and was overall a positive beam in the busy cafe. She addressed regulars by their name and remembered that the lady in front of me was moving offices. When my drink was called, she told me to have a nice day.
