I ordered surgical dressings and received self-adhesive rolls. Went in to return and exchange the order per an email from their online orders department. Staff were extremely rude and told me to come back another day because the "online manager" was not in that day. They refused to accept the return despite their email. The people in the physical location are extremely clueless and rude despite the fact that they messed up and did not send me what was order. On top of this, the item they did send me was vastly inferior and not worth what I had paid for the original product. Hoping that they will actually process my return this week - won't be ordering from here again.

I was initially hesitant about going here after reading all the negative reviews. However, the older Filipina lady who assisted me was extremely kind, patient and helpful. I can't speak for the rest of the staff as I did not need to interact with them. She took care of my friend and I the entire time! Great customer service and wonderful experience overall!

Rented a wheelchair for four weeks, pick up and delivery rates (15$ one time fee for both) was really reasonable compared to other rentals in the city. Good communication.

I need to purchase ostomy supplies for my father and the staff was very helpful in helping me understand the different options. They explained I could set up an account and call them with an order and they would deliver anything my dad needed right to his door the next day. Fantastic customer service.

Thank you for the great service and problem solving. I was stressing trying to make my son comfortable after open heart surgery. It was less than an hour to closing time on a holiday weekend. They found me what I needed and suggested sending Uber to deliver so we could get it fast … so impressed and grateful. Thank you!

After I b brought my mom to SBH and assessed by OT there from EMS…

I’ve ordered from Starkmans March 11th
I used my address to ship the (2) wheeled walker and a grab bar … that were badly needed … knowing I can took care for my mother that could hardly bear weight due to swollen both knees and arthritis …

Unfortunately I forgot my house had lots of stairs (3) floors and I could hardly take care of her up and down going to PT for we me and my husband were seniors too…

In short I changed the delivery address to my brother who lives in a condo with elevator…

In order for me to receive reinvestment from the CCAC
I need a receipt … Noor from Starkmans doesn’t
want to accommodate me or she is not helpful … I need a receipt … she said my parents 83-85 y/o had the receipt … for they signed and received it …

Noor had a lot of alibi … she said they are not keeping records of it …1000’s if order everyday … give the exact amount for Noor to locate the receipt… I said what I remembered was the date … I tried to go online in PC credit card but unfortunately for how many days there’s a system online/ failure and I can’t access.

I said ro Noor it’s a digital world and I’m sure it’s in the system … as long I can give you date of order and my name … but not the exact amount I paid …she didn’t help me at all … unless I can remembered the exact amount … anyway I heard maybe she got her commission already

I asked the super of condo CCTV they said during pandemic and up to the present … mail delivery that was bulky being only left on the door … it’s really not true it was being receive by (2) seniors …but Noor insisted my parents receive it … and signed for it

We’re very prompt and accommodating (2) could easily retrieved the receipt and sent to my emails

Without them … I’m planning to go to another vendor for (3) more items my mother needs…

Hope the owner can review this customer service attitude … remember this people coming to your place were already stress … how to improve their activities of daily living manageable … or else they will not order those mobility and safety devices from you noor

For the last 4 years Starkmans has been invaluable to me. They stock everything I need to care for my husband. He is bedridden and cannot be left alone. Their online ordering system is great and within a day or two my supplies are delivered to the front door at no charge. The driver always has a smile and a wave and when I have gone in to the store they are very helpful. And your orders are saved online so you can check back to verify your medical costs when doing your taxes. I don't know where else I would go for the specialized supplies I now need. Thank you Starkmans.

I went to this location looking for a set of crutches for a friend. I was assisted quickly and showed an adjustable pair that were lightweight as well. The service was professional, but not overly friendly. One bonus for this location is that it has its own parking lot as parking is pretty well non existant in the area.

This place had what I needed at a great price! Greeted and helped and not discriminated against for being unable to wear a mask. Very much appreciated! Would visit again for medical supplies.

I can't even fathom how this place stays open. I pre-ordered masks with the assurances that they were being delivered that day, which turned into that weeks, which turned into "we'll call you. " Meanwhile, I got my masks from elsewhere. When I called a month later to tell them I was coming in for a refund, they told me only the person who sold me the pre-
order could issue the refund? !? !? And surprise surprise, she wasn't in that day, only the next day. I asked to speak to the manager and was sent to voice-mail, even though the lady on the phone HAD JUST SPOKEN TO HIM. I will be coming in tomorrow when supposedly the woman who sold me the order will be present. I can't wait to see what excuse they will come up with next.

I bought a box of N95 at the store last week, took them home and found out they were not near my size. I e-mailed the store asking if they another type face cover.and this morning I revived a phone call from them telling me to come in to that store as there were other type N95's TI found the face cover that was perfect for my fat face as I will be going South Jan. Thank you Staff at Stark mans. I know where to go for any or other medical supplies I may need. Kevin.

Excellent prices - got a bath transfer bench for almost half the price of what the exact same brand and model cost at a competing major Canada-wide retailer of health care products. Friendly and helpful service. A bit slow to check out because of the large number of customers, but that happens.

Pretty good prices for medical supplies, and there is free parking available which is becoming more of a rare find in Toronto. The customer service here is definitely lacking. Upon entering the store, I was silently followed and watched around the store by one of their employees (almost as if they thought I was going to steal something). She didn't bother offering to help, but would just hover while I was looking for various items. When I asked her for pricing for a particular item I was looking for, she gave me approximate prices as she could not recall the exact prices. I had to ask her a couple times before she finally went to the front till to look up the price for me.

I bought a MKO Premier Wristbrace with thumb Spica from this company. After using it for a couple of nights, the pain in my thumb and wrist increased dramatically. On top of that, my thumb felt numb. My doctor advised me to stop immediately.
I called the company and I was directed to the Manager. I realized that there is no refund for this product. I asked if I can return it and get credit. Not only was the Manager not sympathetic that my pain had increased after using their product, but his attitude was that of someone who do not care. Do not buy this product.

They cannot for the life of them get their orders delivered properly. A serious lack of communication between delivery and order desk. It ha/ been so stressful To get necessary products delivered that I have switched to shop elsewhere.

"Returning customer? What is that? " was the manager's response to me when I explained why I was so dissatisfied at his refusal to replace the defective wheelchair (Medline for $350) they had sold me 14 days earlier. On first use, the front wheel shook like the very worst No Frills shopping cart you've ever had the pleasure of pushing. His theory? "The wheelchair works perfectly. The problem is the leg extender and the cast on the leg of the person using the chair - they're too heavy on the one side. " After 20 minutes of this line of reasoning, he relented after I pledged to never return if he refunded my money (minus a $30 re-stocking charge). After I wiped my feet off outside the door, I rented a Drive chair with the same configuration, for less money. Caring for the disabled or elderly? You should go elsewhere.

I spoked to Sonya (hope spelling is correct) on the phone in regards to my delivery order. Sonya, the salesperson made inappropriate comments towards me which are very unprofessional on her part. I addressed to the Manager. Sonya never apologized and showed no remorse. Even though, I find their items useful, I would not recommend this store. I will go to Shoppers’ Drug Mart Health Medical Supplies Store instead.

Is there a star rating lower than one? Refused to accept a return of a completely unused walker citing COVID as the reason. Thankfully my son didn't need it after surgery, but i guess it was too much work for them to disinfect it? While I tried to be as polite as possible because I assume everyone is stressed these days, I felt the manager was extremely unhelpful and curt at best, rude and money-grabbing at worst. Made me feel like I was in the wrong simply trying to get a pediatric walker back out into the world.

I hesitated using Starkmans for a wheelchair rental after reading these reviews. I originally went to another supplier, only to arrive to find a faulty wheelchair.
A quick phone call with Nellie to arrange and she had my wheelchair ready to roll when I arrived. Great service thanks.

Lived in the neighbourhood for 8 years Recently was injured went to the store for medical supplies I experienced terrible customer service to clerks were openly speaking about me in in Filipino and as if I had done something wrong when I was simply picking up medical supplies for my injuries unprofessional rude not helpful or polite will not be returning in future!

Poor service, available products are not the same as on website, when I asked about product the lady says we don’t carry any masks for sleep apnea machine.ask another staff and he says oh yes we have these and shows me a nasal mask. We use to visit this store a few times a year, never again now. Staff is not interested in helping and prices have skyrocketed

Very poor customer service! From the moment that we walked in the 2 clerks looked so miserable. We waited about 15 minutes in like while a clerk was repetitively explaining to a client that she was sorry for overcharging them. Anyways, we brought with us a type of insulin needle to show them and see if they had them in stock. They didn't even look at the insulin and told us that they do not carry them (which is odd because they are a MEDICAL EQUIPMENT SUPPLIER). We even asked if they had something similar and it's almost like the refused to even help us further. I then went online to see if they have the insulin we were looking for and they DID sell them on the website from the same location! Very poor service and laziness!

I've bought several items from this store and they are considerably subpar quality compared to the same items I got from the original supplier. Almost like they're past due date, or maybe even a replica of the original product.

I like this place but the lady at the counter did not know that a bigger gauge needle number.means the needle is actually thinner, she thought bigger gauge means bigger needle. And she looked annoyed at me when I was politely trying to explain to her like I was wasting her time. I will still rate good for the supplies but not so much for the service.

I bought a pillow from them knowing the low ratings because I thought there would be nothing wrong with my purchase. First the sales person talked about me to other employees behind my back while I was in the store. I could tell he was just trying to get the sale and rushed me out the door after I payed. The pillow I bought was defective and the store did not issue a refund. Thanks to them I am out $80. Seriously, do not buy from them even if it’s something you want to get in and get out.

I had to go here to purchase an aircast for my fractured foot, and the staff was very helpful and showed me how to use it properly and adjust it comfortably.

I don't recommend this store because a sales staff would not exchange a portable blood pressure monitor that they sold to an elderly 77 year old lady that he said was a proper fit.

A medical doctor told us this device isn't the right size for her and won't give accurate readings to measure her high blood pressure.

What gives the Starkman's sales associate right to say he knows more than a trained Doctor that went to medical school and to refuse to return or exchange this device.

And think how many more people have been receiving portable blood pressure monitors that didn't fit correctly from this store. Or any other medical devices.

I'm not sure why I've read so many negative reviews of this place. I've been there twice: once to buy replacement pads for crutches and another time to purchase a walking cane. When I went in for the pads, one member of the staff was very friendly in helping me find them in the store then event went above-and-beyond by helping me take off the old pads and replacing it with the new. I wasn't charged for that added service. Next time I walked in asking for a walking cane and a different staff member came by right away to help find one that fits my needs best. They have a lot more selection than other similar stores. Will recommend!

If I could give (-) I would do it. I asked for a low back support for the clerk and she said, "We have many on this wall. You can choose one. " Even explaining that I'm not aware of this because I've never used it before, she said, "It doesn't matter the knowledge, you just need to try it, if you like one, this will be good for you! "
So I tried to ask his co-worker if the height I was adjusting was ok.
The same. "It depends on how you like it! Some people like it higher. O_o

Poor and precarious service. >: S
