Easy to book, and nice facility.
However, the quality of my haircut is poor and I'll have to go somewhere else to get it fixed. I won't be back.

Recently took my 4yr old for a haircut at Starks and the staff was so warm and welcoming. Julia did an amazing job! We will definitely be back!

I’ve been going to Starks for quite a while now I (probably just under a year) I wanna begin first and foremost by saying it is always a phenomenal experience where all the employees are professional and friendly. I usually get my hair cut by Julia and book an appointment in advance and she has always been professional, friendly and perfection oriented. The different services they offer cater to all kinds of pricing. I find myself spending a little on the higher side but that is totally my decision and I wouldn’t have it any other way as I always walk out feeling more confident and looking so much better. I can’t speak too much on the other employees as I haven’t had my hair cut by them however they’re always so professional and friendly creating a welcoming environment that continues to make me a returning customer.

Been going here every month for a year and a half, my barber is Julia, she’s amazing and would recommend family and friends here for sure

I travel a lot. When I am in the area and need to get cleaned up, I always goto Starks in Aurora. More specifically I always book with Sherry. She is very pleasant and always professional. I highly recommend Sherry at Starks.

This place is like most.you get what you pay for. I love my haircuts and treatments when I'm there.

Can't say enough great things about this place, not only from a service perspective but the look and feel of the place too.

Julia is literally my favourite, my hair comes out perfectly everytime and she always takes the time to give great recommendations and tips when I ask. Conversation is great with her aswell.

I had an appointment on 2 occasions and was 11 minutes lates so they refused to take me, today as the have a 10 minute late policy, today I arrived on time and waited over 25 minutes and left as my hair stylist was still with another client
They clearly don’t value the customers time as much as there own

Just tried Starks for the first time and will be going back. Julia R cut my hair - she nailed it, and was a pleasure to chat with.

I was recommended by a friend and went with the Starks treatment. Stunning haircut and massage! My girlfriend loves it. Definitely coming back for Sherry and the sparkling water.

Came for a walk-in. Staff and atmosphere were very nice. Really unhappy with the beard shave and shape though. Top line was cut aggressively low (bordering on chin-strap) and the hot towel was rushed, so I had quite a bit of razor burn after. I assume the experience will rely on a number of factors, but I won't be returning. Expected more just based on how they advertise and their obvious target audience. Others seem to have had better experiences.

I had an awesome experience with Bahar. She gladly accepted my request of wearing a mask for my shave and trim as my wife is immune compromised. I’ve never had someone be so thorough in the job either and my beard looks great! Will definitely be back!

Been a Starks member for 6-7 years, the Aurora location is great. They always do a great job. Had a great cut and beard detail today from Julia R. She took her time to straight razor making sure it was perfect. Thanks as always

Update from previous review. The owner spoke with me and gave me a free cut. Went back for additional cut that I paid full price for. And AGAIN the same issue! Paying full price for the full Starks treatment and not getting what I paid for. Paid for a 40 minute cut, hot towel and massage and did not get it, but rather a short 20 minute cut. Again! This is the 3rd time this has happened. 3rd! Truly disappointed as the cuts are usually very good. Just hate being taken advantage of and continue to not get what I am paying for.

Great place to get a haircut and overall top notch experience. The staff and owners were friendly and really listened to what I was looking for. They were able to take what I wanted and take it to the next level. Definitely revisiting!

I recently visited the Aurora location and got an excellent haircut from Sherry! She is a very knowledgeable and skillful hairdresser. She gave me great grooming advice as well. The Starks treatment is a real treat. Highly recommended!

It is an amazing place. The staff is very servicial, they offer you coffee, water at the reception. The service is terrific! You come out wanting to go back again asap. They really take care of your hair!

Popped into Starks last night. Had an appointment but I saw that they welcomed walk-ins too.
Front of house service was great. I was welcomed and made to feel comfortable and offered coffee or water.
I was quickly greeted by my stylist, Kathy. We talked about what I was looking for in a haircut and she had some great ideas.
She did a great job! Great haircut!

Just great! Best cut and style I've had in a long time. Really friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Plus a complimentary GOOD coffee!

I am extremely impressed with the professionalism and customer service of the Aurora team. I did my haircut with Julia, who did a great job and was extremely nice. I will definitely come back the next time I need a haircut.

Good Haircut and the staff was very friendly. However, I would say that a little more attention to detail would pay off to give customers a 5/5 experience. Additionally, though the hairdresser was kind and spent her time it had said that there was a massage included in my package. As a hair salon I don't expect a long massage but not getting one at all was disappointing. Overall I thought the haircut was good. Good spot though paying over $70 for a haircut and beard trim was a little much, a package to cover both would be a lot better.

Probably one of the best barbershops I've ever experienced. I had plans to meet up with a friend for lunch in this plaza, so I made my appointment the night before—booking was quick, easy, and they had multiple time slots available. The reception was very friendly, the lounge was top notch (highly recommend the seltzer water), and my barber Yvette was both professional and knowledgeable. She was quick to size up my hair, gave me a few options, and in the end I went with her recommendation. I honestly couldn't be happier because it turned out great.

I highly recommend the Starks treatment package. For an extra 5 bucks you get a face massage, back massage, and hot towel treatment.

I'm based in the GTA, but I'll gladly make the trip up again for my next cut. Literally half the price for double the service.

My husband was looking for a new barbershop and decided give Starks a try based on the good reviews. I’m happy to report that he found his new favourite spot and signed up for a membership too. Bonus points for the product Starks uses as he came home smelling and looking great.

To say Julie did a good job is an understatement. I went to Starks Aurora to get my hair cut about 2 weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier. At a time where finding an available barber shop to get a hair cut may be hard, Starks was available and offered the most professional services with an amazing cut. When I walked in I was amazed with the high quality facilities and the old fashion barber shop feel complemented with a pleasant modernness. Julie was there to greet me and help me right away. I have nothing but glowing reviews for the quality of the haircut I received and would recommend going to Starks and seeing Julie again over any other barber shop I have visited. I drove all the way from Stouffville and I will be doing it again. Great Service!

Clean and nicely lit space that offered finer details - which transferred over to the services. It wasn't just a haircut. It was styling and working to make me look and feel good. Greatly appreciate the efforts and will be returning on a monthly basis for my cleanup.

I was looking for a new hairdresser and came across Starks. Jules was incredible from start to finish and I couldn't be happier with my cut. Will definitely be back for the full stark treatment and I would definitely recommend them. Best in town!

Originally took my dad in for a haircut and shave, he just had a stroke and was a bit nervous about going out, especially for a haircut. Yvette H.was out of this world, so kind and patient, my dad was so happy…tells all his buddies about the experience. I went in shortly after and Yvette again was awesome, great haircut and chat. The business is so nice and clean inside, I’ll be back for sure.

Yvette was amazing with my 5 year old son. He has been growing his hair since the beginning of Covid but it had gotten too long. I explained how he wanted it cut with an undercut under his cut long hair. Yvette showed patience with my son and performed a challenging cut (especially on a 5 year old) with precision and skill!

Parnia’s manner was friendly and engaging while she was looking after me. She asked my preferences for my hair cut and made suggestions that were really good. Her insight and understanding of how my hair naturally set was very helpful in trying a new style that looks great.
I highly recommend Starks Barber Company in Aurora and especially Parnia as a first rate barber. In the future I hope to take advantage of other services- I’ve never had a straight razor shave.
The shop was clean, inviting and Parnia offered a drink at my arrival and a place to sit while she prepped the station. I felt that I was well taken care of. It was a great experience and I’m considering the membership she mentioned.

I had my first haircut from Julie and I asked, do you just give haircuts or can I get it done the way I want? She said she would cut it the way I wanted, so she did! Starks had great hair products that were offered to me, I also bought a sweet metal comb! Starks has a very modern experience and has a great looking store. Some expectations I had were getting my hair bleached and coloured silver which was a service they didn’t have, maybe sometime in the future!

My son went there last week after the long pandemic which made him grow his hair long. He was very pleased with the hair style he got. He would recommend this salon.

Ignored what was asked for and cut it way to short and basically gave a bowl cut. Terrible will NEVER GO BACK save your money.

I feel that it was more than just a haircut. I felt pampered. I recommend to come and experience this unique style of making you feel at home.

I had an appointment for 9am and they were all set up and ready for me. They had asked me before starting if I wanted anything to drink coffee, etc. Everyone in there was friendly and professional. The hairdresser had also given me tips on how to help with my youngest daughters hair which I’d always frizzy. These are great tips. My own service was exceptional. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.
