Horrible experience! Took my mother there for Mother’s Day and will never go back. My mother asked if it would be possible to sit by the window and we were told yes by our waitress. Then she disappeared and forgot to come back to clear off the dishes. We sat down at a dirty table waiting when some random waitress flew over, with attitude, and made a scene about us sitting there. If it wasn’t Mother’s Day I would have took my mother and gone somewhere else. After our food finally arrived it was very good and almost worth the embarrassment until we tried to get a refill. Again our waitress left and never came back until the bill arrived. I thought she must be having a bad day so I tried to tip her generously and she added an extra $2.00 for herself.

Nice scenery and location employees are nice and friendly hit a win within 2 min of sitting at a machine definitely will return

Small and quieter casino. Love that! Nice restaurant attached with beautiful water views. Great employees.

The dealers at the poker table were whinny about their shifts. That needs to be kept away from the table.

Went here with my wife and another couple a couple weeks ago and was quite impressed with the renovation job. We spent most of our time in the brand new restaurant and decided to play some pool and while the pool table was very nice in quality, the space it occupied was too small to play a proper game, that is my only complaint but not sure it will matter to most readers since most people don’t go to a casino to play pool.

The restaurant has a special on baseball steaks, absolutely amazing. Will be returning for more. Won't be disappointed

even though you get a food comp you deserve good food,

Worse buffet I have ever been to. The food trays were always empty. Need someone to run the place that knows what they
are doing. Going to miss a lot of people coming there.

Absolutely horrible playing compared to the Detroit casinos.even with the exchange rate it's worth the 1hr trip if you want a real casino experience! The food in the buffet is not even edible & the food in the restaurant is expensive & hit or miss for taste.

The buffet was truly bland in every respect. We only went to the buffet because the restaurant was having a problem with the kitchen, so they closed for the evening. The casino itself is underwhelming, which is a good thing if it discourages suckers from giving their grocery money to the government.

The staff was friendly and helpful and the casino clean and neat, but that is about the only positive. It had been a few years since I was there and it took along time to get a players card. Only 2 people were working and they had double duty playing coat checkers. Make sure that you exchange your US money before you get there. Again long lines and only 2 people working and the cashiers are located at the other end of the casino. This may not seem like a big deal, but when you are handicapped it is. I lost money, but it is a casino and I only lost what I could afford.

We haven't.t been to Sarnia casino in 4 years. I must say it is so amazing now.nice /clean/lots of accessible staff for drinks and help. Great atmosphere.it was well worth the drive. I think it.lk be my favorite casino now to visit. I love how and where the restaurant is

No air conditioning and it was extremely humid in there. Hope that gets fixed before the real hot weather arrives. Update June 23 2018: still no a/c in many sections but the new owners are making good use of the space. The old bar is closed (good-bye surly staff) and the new restaurant "Match" is open. Menu is completely new and the service was good here. Food was great. Only thing is I find the music too loud - it would be nice to not have to yell over the meal.

Update: the place has a/c now. Love that I can sit and eat and watch the big ships pass by.

March 9,2019. We're sitting in Match Eatery. The music is so loud (radio) that you can't even talk and the type of music is horrible - heavy rock is not good dining music. The margherita pizza tasted like a frozen pizza. The same with the onion rings. Food used to be really good but certainly not today.

A rare Casino Gambler was was pleasantly surprised with the nice renovation since my last visit. Looked fresh and clean, the decor is better than the old one. I just wish they would loosen up those slots for the little gamblers so they can at least have a bit of fun. For me it is not necessarily about winning the big one or even winning in the end, but when they just keep sucking in your 20's with mo return to play awhile, well that just isn't nice, too greedy on the Casino side. For instance put in a 20, go up to 35, back down to 15, lost 15, put in another 20 up to 45, up to 80, back down to 50, up to 140. Now do I take my 100 and go eat there or leave? Doesn't matter I put my winnings of a 100 back in and lost. Guess I am paying for my own dinner. Thats ok though I spent 3 hours and enjoyed the slots, so for 40,60 or 80 bucks it was fun and a night out. When you put in 20,20,20,20 and in 20 minutes you have nothing THAT is not fun or entertaining. So my point is just give us a little of your money, let us borrow it sort of speak while we visit, take it all back in the end but gives us something to play on, like a few more cherries or bars or something. Loosen up those dang machines in Canada for the small Gambler. We might not be high rollers but you will get our money eventually and we're ok with that, just quit taking it so fast please. Las Vegas is alot more fun. At least you can make a few hundred there, or enough to go see a show or have a bite to eat. We don't expect to be able to eat or see a show on our small winnings all the time, but more often would be at least fun.

They hired some older lady recently who has no idea what she is doing. How the heck do you screw up cash at a casino? Someone needs to investigate that lady, her name starts with a K.

Buffet breakfast was comparable to standard hotel fare. Renovated facility is more open and much more pleasant.

Food way over priced for the quality it is. Miss the old menu which use to have all day breakfast for $10.less luck on slots since they changed from olg, feels like they definintly lowerd the odds of winning. The only thing nice is the restaurant location and outside bar area, nice to hangout and relax there but food is too expensive.

Some of the staff are snotty and arrogant. It's ridiculous to have to cash a ticket with the cashiers if the kiosk is busy and which they should have more of. Also the first time we went to the buffet it was good, the second time awful and we only went the third time hoping it would be like the first time. Nope it was worse. The food sits out way to long and there is very little choice for dessert.and it's dried out and stale. Definitely not worth the price tag, so save your money. The machines seem to be very tight and a good night is winning just enough money to give it back to them. I thought olg was bad but this place is way worse.

Stopped in to play Texas hold showed up at 11am and seen the pit boss to reserve a spot on a table opening at 12 noon. To my surprise at noon waiting to get my seat 5 people are sitting playing and 4 empty seats. I asked if I missed my name and he checked and said no you are 13. I said well how long do you hold seats for he replied that the 4 empty spots are for reserved people who called in. So after waiting an hour I'm holding 5k to play poker and 4 empty seats are reserved for people not even at the casino. Needless to say I'm heading to Saginaw casino for a week and wont be back to this place.

Went over for the buffet while the wife plays. Thursday not that good waffles are over steamed soggy. The selection now Fridays 10 times better. After having a buffet I did play for a little bit it was up and down all day. Had a good time.

Never actually went into the gaming area, only to the restaurant. Lobby area looks great; the space is used better and there are slot machines in what was once wasted space. Views of the waterfront are utilized more. Definatelybgoing back without the kids to check it out.

Whatever you do, do not expect the food at the breakfast/brunch buffet to share any similarities with actual food groups - other than that it appears to be edible. The server summed it up in one statement: "Hey, it's ten bucks. "

This casino was recently updated and it's a welcome change, meals have been hit or miss but I think they will get it right. During the summer months the view outside is great. Worth checking out:)

There are very few video poker machines and they are tucked in the corner and old. The screens barely worked. It is supposed to be non smoking but when in certain areas all you can smell is the smoke from outside.

Looks like they have renovated the entrance to the casino. Less of a walk to get in now. Much better!

Ate at Match restaurant twice in a week and both time's the food was horrible. Never eating there again.

Have not really see a major change under new management.
I do t think that they could tighten down the machines anymore.
You never hear anyone winning.

Enjoyed the new look and helpful smiling staff. The ribs at Match restaurant were great. Lots of fun machines.

We used to stop in here for Breakfast every chance we got. Today we came in to see what the renovations looked like. Looks ok for a Casino. The Buffet was a total disappointment though. We used to really enjoy the Breakfasts. I will never come back to this Buffet Restaurant again. Not much choice. No Toast. Not very much taste to the food. Definitely several steps down from what I was used to. Just a poor experience compared to what I was used to.
