This is an European grocery store carrying food, drinks, snacks from Eastern European countries. If you are looking for Polish food there’s lots.

They also have Slovenian food and Fructal fruit juice. Knez Milos mineral water from Serbia. They carry Radenska mineral water.

Also home made sweets like potica. And of course pirogies, cabbage and lots of different types of chocolate.

If you are looking for kajmak cheese they carry it at Starsky.

And you can also find poppy seeds (mak) for baking.

It was supposed to be a Polish store.and now there are few Polish products left, everything is Ukrainian.massacre. If I want to buy Ukrainian products, I go to a Ukrainian store. You can't cheat customers like this, who have been coming for Polish products for years, having a taste of Polishness. Ukrainians have their own stores and there are no Polish products there.what's up? Have the store authorities lost their minds like the Polish government?

I love this deli because they have a great selection of eastern european foods, however, the customer service at the deli counter could be improved.

The best place to shop for Eastern European food and beverages. A whole supermarket full of excellent products from multiple countries. Great selection of sausages, meat, baked products, milk products, prepared food and so forth.

Hi we like the deli and bakery but dont enjoy being refused to purchase with a credit card for a transaction less than $5. I am not sure they understand people during the pandemic no longer use cash. For bread and small purchases will go to Future Bakery.

Good selection of Polish & European groceries. Get the imported mineral water, dill pickles, smoked fish, and cured meats.

Wow, this store has about a million different products for sale. The amazing inventory is great but the real highlight is the deli. Every kind of sausage and pickles vegetable your European heart desires!

The store is awesome I just wish they had one here in Scarborough I don't mind the travel but I just wish there was one here so many people would love that store the sausages are always so good meats are always fresh the staff are phenomenal there

Great deli meats, fresh (not frozen) smoked salmon and other fish, great selection of fresh meat, outstanding produce, Lithuanian rye bread (others too but the ones from Lithuania are the best), European style pastries, all kinds of other goodies imported from various countries in Europe, everything at reasonable prices. Efficient, friendly staff.

Felt a little crowded, especially with covid still being a concern. Has a big selection of many products I haven't seen elsewhere.

Store gets sometime crowded. They managed it well, lots of European products to choose from.

Isles clogged with carts, very unfriendly employees. Customers touching baked goods and donuts barehanded, no tongs to be found, pandemic regulations not enforced (very lax). Cashiers have little to no customer service skills, don't help bagging and in a hurry to finish the transaction and go to the next customer, no "thank you" or any acknowledgement spoken. (unwelcoming atmosphere)
In many cases English not the home language and it's difficult to communicate at times and training is necessary.
On the positive, great selection of Eastern and Western European goods.
The hot deli has a good selection (some of the time). Usually only one employee servicing this department, the wait can be long. The bakery also has a great selection but usually unattended.
I use to shop here occasionally (long drive for me) and now, very seldomly.
**Update: Pandemic regulations seem to be addressed. The customer service still remains an issue (it's like no one cares even to smile at customers). The store lighting is very dim (no tiled ceiling), it makes it difficult for senior shoppers. A few changes would make this a store a gem.

Go to for eastern european smoked sausages. Great produce and amazing selection of perogies and european specialty items.

Amazing selection and helpful staff, but the other customers do not care about 6 foot social distancing. Some old man was literally standing on my foot at the deli counter.

Bought bacon and says it was packaged today. But opened it to find mold and it smells so rotten. Definitely will never go back. Primarily went for chicken but it looked old. Way too many people crowding certain departments. No social distancing.

These stores are TYRANNICAL, honeslty they are the worst, we are FORCED to go shopping to a limited amount of stores, and they are the most unempthatic pushing clerks, that are so happy with their newfound powers to PUSH the mask agenda, it should be a choice but we live now in tyranny!

Excellent selection of fresh produce, meat, deli meats and sausages, cheeses and imported specialties. Meat and deli counter service lines can get long but staff is always fast and helpful. Great imported chocolate and treats selection.

A bit on the pricey side for a grocery store but the products are not the typical brands you expect. A huge amount of the products come from European manufacturers. It's an excellent selection of a wide range of items and the deli counter always has a great fresh selection. I definitely recommend this place if you have never been.

Love this place. Best selection of meats and cheeses I've ever seen in one store. During Christmas there was a fish monger setup outside the entrance.

Good food and chocolate variety, but poor customer service. They DO NOT answer the phone no matter the time of the day you call. They should be able to do better. Starsky customers deserve better care.

Horrible customer service. Asked the girl at the bakery counter for assistance and she told me "go look for someone else, I'm busy"

Very nice grocery store with lots of Polish products. The meat, cheese, produce, everything was very nice and a large selection.

Great selection of European foods mostly Polish but you can also find Hungarian, Ukrainian German and Russian meats, cheeses, pickles, packaged soups, spices and huge bakery. This is best place to go for deli meats and cheeses!

Good place to shop for long lasting Polish goods, canned veggies, fruit jellies and spices, also good choice of fresh fruits and veggies, however meats and cheeses must be sold not really fresh, as the become green and sticky very quick.

Overcrouded, not enough space to walk. The premise should be at least 2x bigger for given amount of goods and visitors

Cabbage rolls, kabanosi, (smoked sausages) gulasz, (meat stew) and many other polish hot dishes are prepared in house.

Polish cuisine is rich in meat, therefore the deli section at Starsky is to die for. Are you a huge lover of perogies? Head on over to one of their 3 locations and choose your flavor, whether it's potato, meat or vegetable perogies.

After shopping there turned out I was missing one of the bags. Talked to the manager and She said according to the cameras I have the bag. I guess that makes me a liar. Enjoy the f. $30. I guess you need it more then I do.

Eat at your own risk. My family purchased herring which we normally enjoy (not from Starsky) and had to throw it away because it was inedible. The cold smoked mackerel we also bought this week caused an allergic reaction in 2 people eating it (itchy lips, red cheeks and chin, headache, blister on tongue). I'm now waiting for customer service to reach out telling me what exactly was in it. I don't have any complaints about the other food that was bought, but warn against purchasing anything without a list of ingredients attached to it.

Clean, has so much variety from produce to cured meats to even baked goods.

I have been a loyal customer of Starsky for more than 10 years, I have recommended this store to many of my friends, who it their turn have become long standing customers.
But then I needed to return an expensive tin of tea I have purchased by mistake there.
My attempt to return it 4 weeks later, which I thought should be ok – it is after all non-perishable item,
Went terribly wrong.
A lady with a name tag “Brigide” did not like this particular customer request but has no guts to say No, instead she was dragging time and asking all kind of useless questions, ignored any explanation or question of mine, and never explained any Return policies of the store.
Instead I was told that I have to “always check my receipts” and make sure that all items are on them, I was told that “I don’t understand”.
An insensitive irresponsible customer service person that didn’t even make an attempt to resolve not very clear but quite a routine situation, something she is paid to do.
I liked the Starsky for a very long time – and I would be very sorry if anyone should have this sort of experience over $10 purchase.
And I am not sure I will come back any time soon….
And I am not sure they will care.
My annual few hundred Christmas shopping at Starsky expense will be received by another, more gracious brand.

Love coming here for all things Polish! They have a wide selection of deli meats and a nice hot table. Their produce is also fresh.

This location is unbelievably disgusting. Management should pay attention to the following: The entire staff working the deli are all miserable. They are not friendly, you never see a smile, they don’t ask if you want to get something else. I have a preference when it comes to choosing my meat and I always get a response of “it is all the same” when that is not the case. Some meat is fresher than others. Not to mention that they are all extremely unsanitary and require intense training of food handling. They never change their gloves! They hold the microphone to call out the number and then blow into their hand. I’ve also witnessed a few employees using their cell phones with the same gloves that they serve me with. Every time I ask them to change their gloves, I always get such a bad attitude from the employees. Horrible customer service. This has been reported to the health and safety inspector.

The fact that they don’t accept CC payment for less than $10 is shameful practice for a business pretending to be the core and responsible merchant. BBB should have put on this store chain a big stamp and used garbage class business rating.
