Hôtel bien placé, parking payant juste à côté. Restaurants à proximité. Chambre assez grande. Attention le couchage dans le canapé lit est très très mauvais. Personnel agréable.
I was in Hamilton for a week and stayed at the Staybridge. I did not like the neighbourhood and was going to check out on the same day after checking in, they offered to upgrade me to a Jacuzzi king size room, I was able to enjoy my stay and appreciate them going above and beyond to upgrade me from a basic King size room to a Jacuzzi room. The hotel room was clean, well maintained. The breakfast helped me stay healthy and having kitchen in the rooms helped. Amenities include gym and swimming pool and wifi was adequate for me to depend on the internet for work. The neighbourhood is what you can expect in downtown Hamilton (which I forgot about). I would suggest checking out the neighbourhood before booking but the hotel was secure and all entrances required key cards for entry. Having said that, the hotel is near Hess village and lots of restaurants nearby, I would consider staying there again despite not being a fan of the neighbourhood! They charge a $15pn for indoor parking which give you direct access to the hotel - this helped as I did not want to set foot outside at all but if you want cheaper parking there are other options nearby.
Friendly service, parking on site, amazing continental breakfast with lots of options. Highly recommend getting the membership it allowed us to get late check out which was super convenient! Clean rooms and high quality soap provided.
I moved in temporarily for my Dad's cancer treatment (30 days), but due to medical complications, stayed 75+ days.
Loved it. Staff, exceptional and kind. Need a better remote work computer setup in your room? There's help for that! ! Lobby/Front desk service - lovely people!
And the awesome staff who work so hard to clean the room? Such great people!
If I ever need to return to Hamilton, there's no question that I'll return to stay there!
I can't imagine a better situation when having to be away from home, let alone during a stressful time.
Very good hotel. They offer complimentary breakfast and dinner some days. If you stay longer, choose a room that is not close to the elevator because you could hear it
Loved my experience here! Great rooms! And right near the first Ontario centre so getting to my concert was super simple! The staff were so kind! Great hotel overall!
I rented a king suite for the night and I was not impressed with the quality, especially for the price. When I firsted came into the room I noticed dirty dishes in the sink. I was also expecting a room with a jacuzzi tub as it was listed on the room amenities when I booked. I called front desk to ask about a jacuzzi room and to inform them of my not so clean room. I was informed jacuzzi rooms were all taken. Okay fine, but no adjustment to the price was offered or any other accommodation. I was then told not to worry about the dirty dishes left in the sink because they'd inform the cleaning staff so that it wouldn't happen again. Terrible service! Unimpressed. Wouldn't not stay at a IHG hotel again after this experience. And to add another point, it has a weird layout. You have to walk through the restaurant area to go to and from the gym and pool area. Awkward.
Access from the parking garage is terrible. They need automatic doors so you can carry in your belongingings and if you require are cart or are disabled in anyway you require assist and none is available. Not easy to access. Great breakfast and location.
Queen that we rented was a double, kitchen didnt have an oven, crackheads out front, pool was 15ft long, breakfast was horrible, bad neighborhood. Why would you ever stay here, how is it so well rated. All around horrible. Wouldnt stay here again if you paid me
People selling drugs and using on every corner of the hotel. I have traveled the world and never have seen anything like it. People would sneak into the hotel when it was raining. I can't blame them. Hotel didn't have the room we ordered because of maintenance? Gave us two single rooms and charged us more. Felt more like a bait and switch. Didn't workout for our family setup. Gym was not bad for a hotel but it was turned down to freezing on the A/C and locked. Hotel is fairly clean. Hotel parking was limited on the busy nights and had to park across the street. Breakfast slightly better than average.
Stayed here for one night. Was luckily a Wednesday night, as they offer a light meal dinner Mon -Wed. The light meal consisted of pasta, salad, and cookies, all unlimited. The room itself was clean. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided in containers that you aren't able to take home, but is branded Dove if it makes a difference. Curtains works, and block out the sun. The location though, middle of downtown. While nice, parking is a bit weird. You need to check in to park underground, so you need to risk parking in a nearby lot before you check in (was informed by a driver that by law enforcement is regularly enforcing the parking). So was a bit worried about that. Not much parking here though, so hopefully you aren't there on a busy night.
We booked the balcony room weeks ago, for a weekday night to accommodate a work meeting in a private, professional setting.
We were informed a few hours before that the room was not available and we were placed in a jacuzzi suite room (at the cost of that room) rather than the balcony.
We were not offered even a small financial reimbursement; we were only offered use of the meeting rooms. This was not initially communicated and our meeting had to be delayed before this was suggested (however it would not have been appropriate as private meeting space adjacent to the room was required).
Jacuzzi room was deemed not to be a professional setting so the room was used for non-meeting purposes. It was very dark, and there was black (mold?) on the shower wall. The pillows need to be replaced. There was no pen in the room, no hotel directory, no ice bucket, and only powdered coffee whitener. Felt more akin to a motel rather than a typical hotel stay.
Morning breakfast was good. Staff was friendly - they are clearly understaffed and this is not the fault of the woman at the front desk who was doing amazing given she was all alone.
Will not be recommending this location for work-related bookings in the future due to the last minute cancellation with no financial reimbursement.
Nice spot d/t Hamilton. Staff are pleasant and front desk helpful and very friendly. Evening meal and breakfast is great. Parking and access to the hotel (security issues) were the only issues for not giving 5 stars. BUT being a d/t hotel, the security issue is understandable. Patio was nice and inviting. It was well used in the late evening.
Just a great hotel! All the staff were always friendly, courteous and went above and beyond in helping me out with everything. My flight was canceled and they held me a room at 2 am when I needed to come from Toronto. I showed up after 15 hours of traveling with only my backpack because my luggage was lost as well. They welcomed me with open arms and provided me a wonderful place to rest with absolute professionalism! Thank you to all the staff for an amazing experience! I definitely want to say to anyone wanting a hotel in Hamilton, this is hands down the best!
Upon check in we had a small issue but Tina as manager went out of her way to welcome us and correct the issue. The entire staff was professional and helpful and made our birthday celebration an excellent event. We enjoyed the 2 bdrm suite, cooked a meal and enjoyed the evening! Thanks to everyone and we will come again next year. Thanks again!
Rooms are excellent. Full kitchen and nice bathroom. They use high quality Dove soap and very quiet. Though the location is not great. Lots of street walkers around the hotel barrage you as soon as you leave. Close the an arena and lots of food.
Have stayed a few times and overall not a bad experience. Hotel is a bit dated and rooms are poorly lit. Complimentary dinners Monday-Wednesday, but don’t expect too much. Parking is extra and not guaranteed to be in the same building; overflow across the street.
Very bad service, no cleaning of rooms, dirty coffee makers in room and in breakfast hall, very meagre breakfast options. Too pricey for the quality provided.
Management missed the opportunity to correct the complains.
Staff were so friendly and helpful with parking, underground parking was safe and handy for the location. Our suite was very clean, spacious and well lit. We will definitely be back
First off, the hotel has a funny smell and the sheets oozed a certain smell for my first few nights. They only clean once a week. Then let’s talk about the limited parking spots, I had to wait 20 to 30 minutes to wait for someone to leave so I could park. The breakfast options were very basic. It wasn’t a pleasant experience for me
Tourist tax seems fraudulent. Room is a little beat up, however there is a small kitchen if you want to live here? Pool has been out of service for years. Average hotel, breakfast was clean and decent.
The suite was huge with a full size fridge and dishwasher, the in room tub was nice and the staff were really pleasant. The bed could've been softer but that's a personal preference.
AMAZING Place & Excellent Staff, this Review is specially for Kristine's AMAZING Hospitality, super friendly and helpful, just because of the service we get from Kristine's we gonna came here every possible time and we recommend everyone check their amazing Hospitality. Thanks a Lot Kristine for all the efforts you make for us during our stay.
What started as a great stay was unfortunately ruined the morning of our check out. After getting locked out of our room, we politely asked a cleaning staff member if we could have our room opened. Obviously, we needed to go to the front desk and get another key. We understood and had someone from our room go and get it. While they did, other members of the house keeping staff were throwing insults and saying other inappropriate comments to her fellow staff members as if we couldn’t hear her. That was extremely uncalled for, and even when we confronted her about her actions and words she didn’t acknowledge her actions and continued this behaviour. I will never be back here if staff talk to guests this way
Rooms are very clean & newly renovated with modern designs. Beds are super cozy & the kitchen unit is basically a regular home kitchen minus the oven. Very quiet & offers all amenities necessary for a comfortable experience. The location is near Hess Village & basically walking distance to most restaurants, shops & Jackson Square.
Clean and reasonably sized room. Staffs were very friendly. Breakfast prior to COVID-19 had good options, not sure how it is now. The location/view of the hotel was not the best, but otherwise it was a great & comfortable stay.
It was pretty great even though I didn't have the correct IDs to checkin the receptionist was Very understanding and helpful. Very clean on like the Sheraton Hamilton
It's a good value for your money. And they do allow pets. But if you want something more modern and all of your amenities supplied, I would not recommend this hotel.
I had the opportunity to first stay at the Staybridge Suites Hamilton - Downtown as part of a relocation from the west coast. I could never have imagined living at a hotel for a month. I still can't imagine doing it;however, Staybridge was not a hotel; it became and felt like home.
The friendly staff, the food, a calendar of local events put up on the fridge in my room and having something as small as an in-room laundry basket to be able to do laundry with ease helped me feel at home in my new city- Hamilton.
If you have guests coming to town for a visit this is a great place to give them space.
Very clean hotel. Loved the room which was spacious and provided everything we needed for an extended stay. The food was delicious and enjoyed having a diverse breakfast. The staff were insanely polite and accommodating. I highly recommend
Awesome hotel in a great location. The rooms were clean, the breakfast (which is included in the room price) had a ton of different options that were healthy and delicious. Parking is $12.50, but it’s in a locked underground garage to ensure safety.
Very comfortable - except for the shower, which is more like a spritz and takes a while to warm up. The place serves up a decent breakfast and a tolerable dinner - for free! The suite I was in had a small but workable kitchen. Guests staying over 7 days get reduced housekeeping (and even those staying less than 7 days have to ask for service on weekends). Some decent restaurants within walking distance.
Very nice property with a small but clean pool. The staff is mostly nice. On the day of check-out I had some unforeseeable car trouble and we where delayed at checking out by the 2pm late check-out they gave us. They were quite forceful and said they need us out. I was dealing with the car so it was just my wife and kids. She was having trouble getting all the 3 little kids together and out of the room so I offered to buy another night but they declined my request and said we must leave that moment. Doing the best she could my wife got out as fast as possible only to come down to the lobby with all of our stuff on a dolly and our 3 under 3 yo children, to be brated publicly by the hotel manager that she didn't get out in time and to the managers liking. So much so that by the time I got back the manager had verbally abused her so much, my wife was sitting in the lobby balling get eyes out! Not cool! Really not cool! Things do happen, maybe be a little understanding!
D.m. P.surcharge (mandatory) to promote tourism what a joke. Nice room but sliding the surcharge under the door is wrong, could have explained it at checkout
Loyal fan of Staybridge Suites. This location is way above their average too. This one does not have enough indoor parking, other than that everything here is FABULOUS.
Hotel staff are extremely professional and welcoming, breakfast and social buffet is really good, as a frequent traveler this is one of the best hotel experiences I've had so far
It looks like the carpet on the staircase near the lobby is purposefully neglected. Otherwise, friendly workers and nice stay. The 7th floor is the cleanest
Super impressive. First time at a Staybridge. Fantastic experience from check in to check out. Breakfast was exceptional. Definitely will recommend for others to stay here while in Hamilton, ONT. It's close to so many eateries.
Easily the nicest hotel you can stay in if you're visiting Hamilton for whatever reason, Incredibly nice rooms especially if you go the Jacuzzi room route, 24 hour convince store/Tims right around the corner (dont go to that Tim's it's not very nice) and a fairly great breakfast buffet included in the stay, even has bagels. A little pricey but if you're looking to spend a little extra this us the best you're gonna get.
Nice building, good parking garage. Little pricey given it's Hamilton and parking is extra, but a little cheaper than Homewood Suites up the street at least. Hot breakfast was decent, staff nice and friendly. Tiny TV. Would stay again if needed to come back to Hamilton.
Nice place. Good location - easy to get back on the Go to Pearson. Helpful friendly staff. Bed was comfy. On a bit of a downside the water in shower pressure was less than desirable. A broken piece of furniture, some wall paper falling off, kitchen needs a deep clean. But I'm not picky, I don't care much about those things, just stating the facts.
What appears to be a luxury high end place falls a bit short. Decor is nice. Beds are comfortable. There is absolutely no sound proofing you can here people talking on the street from the 5th floor. The breakfast is basic.
This was my second time staying here. Both times I have had a great experience. Check in was a breeze. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very clean, modern and quiet. Ample room and space in the suite. Centrally located in downtown Hamilton with easy access to transit. Would recommend if visiting the city and want that safe place to stay.
Excellent service and great rooms. Food for breakfast and dinner was also excellent. I would and have recommended this hotel for people to stay in. I have stayed here a number of times.
There for business. Had a great stay. Staff wonderful and helpful. Room was clean with no issues. Breakfast is probably one of the best that I have ever had and they have dinners Mon-Wed included with stay! In heart of the city so walking to shops or work is easy. Will be back.
Location was not bad, they have no free parking anywhere but I guess that's how they make money right? If you're a person that likes the city and kind of gloomy looking scenery than that's for you. It was kind of dark and the only thing that lit the rooms were lamps, so if your lamp is broke. Location wise it was not bad as I was staying to go to school at Mohawk. Rooms, service, breakfast and social events were all great. Overall, 4/5
