Staybridge Suites Niagara-on-the-Lake, an IHG Hotel

Stayed for almost a month due to work and the hotel is nice. People are amazing. Staff are really friendly.

Booked this place in June for 2 nights - just over $500 and had to cancel due to a death in the family. Spoke with manager and was informed in Oct that I only had 3 months to use my reservation. Never was told this upon my initial call to defer the booking. There are many other hotels in this area that will treat you better. Buyer be ware!

Pretty decent hotel. Our room was nice and cozy. Although, the ac in our room was a little loud when it started up, and the shower could've been cleaner. Also, the breakfast they offered was so so. The eggs tasted like rubber, and coffee was weak. Across the street, there is a food court with a Tim Hortons, which came in handy! Also, a gas station ️

Wish I could put a Zero star.

Booked this room in March 2023 in conjunction to 20-25 other rooms since the main wedding party was staying here.
Friday, I was left a voicemail telling me that my credit card had expired and they needed me to call to give the new information before 10am the next day, less than 24h.
I didn't check my voicemail until Monday morning. As soon as I got the message I called to find out that they had cancelled my room.

Spoke to the GM, who was extremely arrogent and unprofessional. The "only" accommodation possible was offering me a room in another hotel but at 65% increase in cost.
Event after the bridal party called to try and find a solution, the GM said he couldn't do anything because I was impolite.

I wonder how people would react when they were told a week prior to a wedding that their room was called because, one attempt was made to reach someone with an expired card date. My card expired 3 months ago. No call, no email, nothing.
Less than 24h warning, on a week-end. And a special 65% increased rate!

I would recommend thinking twice before booking here.

Super clean, good staff, good service. Location is not near attraction but that was the whole point in staying here to be away from the crowds. Again, super clean hotel!
The General Manager and front desk staff were amazing in helping fix a reservation problem we had and so pleasant.

Unfortunately, I had a horrible experience checking into the hotel with the front desk lady, Robin. She made me feel rather stupid that I didn't know some hotel policies off by heart. It ruined my stay.

This is a great location for exploring the Niagara area, just 15 minutes from the Falls area, a dozen wineries and cider houses within 15 minutes, about 90 minutes from Toronto for a day trip. It's not right on the freeway like a lot of this hotel category is, so the traffic noise isn't bad, especially if you're in the rooms facing east.

The hotel is very clean and new looking, the parking lot as well, all the facilities were in good shape and the service was great. Our suite had the basics needed if we wanted to cook for a longer stay - pots and pans, glasses and silverware and a dishwasher. I appreciate the clothes iron as well. I would definitely stay again for a vacation or as a long term home base.

Excellent staff and special shout out to Robin (front desk staff), awesome is the word for her and she would always go out of her way to make our stay comfortable for 3 days that we were there. Thank you Robin.

It was an enjoyable weekend with all the amenities a hotel can offer. Very clean, friendly staff. I would definitely book again.

An amazing hotel to stay at! Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, and the staff is amazing. I work nights and the front desk worker, Robin, was able to accommodate my request for a late check out; she was also extremely friendly and professional. If in the area I recommend staying here

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! If I could give it 0 stars I would.
Went here for a 3 night stay with our dog. The shower was not clean when we checked in. We cleaned it and stayed for the first night. Based on hotel policy, there's no Housekeeping on the weekends unless requested. We left our rooms, came back to see dirty sheets that were on the floor are back on the bed and they made the bed with the dirty sheets. They folded used towels and TRIED to make it look as clean and new, FAILED miserably. Called front desk. And when they came to change everything they just walked into the room no gloves, no mask, nothing and "changed" the sheets but put back on the same dirty blanket on the bed saying they don't change that. We checked out 2 days early and they didn't even refund us after we asked for it and told them the issue. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Dirty hotel

Power went out as this hotel only sat night at 7pm. We had to walk up to the top floor and didn't have power for most of the night after a full day of bicycle wine tours we just wanted to take a warm shower and watch a movie. When we complained about our experience Management offered a 10% discount on our next stay (50$ off) which seems ridiculous. Bed was small, location wasn't good and hotel was average at best.won't ever be returning here!

This was a stay for 3 nights during the Labour Day long weekend. Smooth check in, extremely clean room, kitchen stocked with utensils as well as an Induction stove top, this made for a great and memorable stay. There is also a lot of parking space, pool, patio seating, mini mini-golf area and a gym.

For anyone with infants or non-toilet-trained children, you are able to take them into the pool in swim diapers. Breakfast is 7am-10am, Pool area is open until 11pm, and there is a pantry with snacks and drinks available for purchase.

Despite a fire alarm situation, we didn't have any cons or issues during our stay, and we would really want to stay here again when possible.

Side note - A 2% municipal tax was implemented from Sept 1,2022.

The Staff were very friendly from the start of arrival to our departure. The breakfast itself we actually thoroughly enjoyed. On the surface itself of the building initially it looked very very clean however to my joyful surprise, our first night we discovered that the hotel was INFESTED with silverfish. Oddly enough, other travelers dating back to 2020 have expressed complaints about the silverfish. Just imagine sleeping at night and your ceiling is covered with silverfish. We complained to the front desk and were offered another room for the remainder of our stay. Our new room still had silverfish just not as many as the original. We found skins of dead silverfish behind our bed in the new room as well.

When we went the next day to get our belongings from the old room I was shocked to see that their "fix" was simply to run a de-humidifier to prepare it for the next traveler. The hotel needs to shutdown and properly handle the situation via pest control.

PSA: Our first room was 651. Second room was 355.

If I could give half points, this would be a 3.5.

Alright so I'm not sure where the fancy hangout and dining area outside was supposed to be but somehow we missed it. I want to warn people that this is completely connected to a holiday Inn Express and the two hotels share ALL amenities. Breakfast, parking AND the pool are shared. So what's normally an already busy and crowded amenity, is even busier and more crowded because of the two hotels. This isn't mentioned anywhere at all during booking, of course.

They have postings everywhere stating breakfast is until 10: 30 on weekends and 9: 30 on week days, yet they stop serving 30 minutes earlier than that regardless of what day it is.

Our room was clean except for the grout on the floors and the door handle. The grout was mostly brown and black from being so dirty and the door handles hadn't been cleaned. At nighttime, lots of silverfish came out of the woodworks in the bathroom and that was offputting. There is a kitchen but the dishes were dirty, and I mean all of them! Yuckers!

So for the positives though, this is located only about 20 minutes from Niagara Falls. It's located in a quiet little area off the highway. There isn't much directly around so you get a good night's rest. The pillows weren't bad and the bed was okay. I travel with my own mattress topper and with that I slept very well in the room. The room was also very quiet, which I requested a quiet location and I really appreciated the hotel making that happen. I'm a terribly light sleeper and my room (551) was nice and quiet. The hotel seems very well insulated too, and I barely heard any outside noise at all. Thst was remarkable to me, lol. I was expecting lots of noise from above too, and there wasn't any.

It should also be noted that Benjamin who works the overnights is a GEM! We were so glad to have crossed paths with him and appreciated him answering questions for us when needed. Please pass along a kudos to him for being a kind soul. Thank you Benjamin, you rock!

This was not a bad stay, but things could have been improved. If there weren't silverfish in the room, it would have been a 4 star review. For a hotel of this caliber, the stay was fine and just needed some improvements. I also think it's only fair to follow your own postings on breakfast times and to let people know ahead of time that the amenities are shared with hundreds of other people in another hotel. And grout this dirty is just gross. But again, the location is quiet, there is a breakfast, and there's a great person working the overnights.

I could give this place 5 stars just for the fact they are pet friendly. The quality of rooms and amenities in the hotel is immaculate, well maintained. Super friendly staff special shout to Rose and Paige at the front desk both of them very helpful during our stay there whether it be at the initial check in, extra towels required, check out. We traveled with a 11 week old baby they provided a bassinet in the room for us too. Excellent hotel! Amazing Staff! Can’t wait to visit again

Everything seemed clean and modern. The staff were very friendly and accommodating for pets. The facilities available, such as the gas grills, were fantastic. Overall a lovely hotel.

Really enjoyed the breakfast, food was always replenished. Staff at the front were super sweet to us and our dog. Rooms are large and clean.

The issue we experienced is likely unique. We were given a ground floor room right next to an exit door (room 165), which was stated as being perfect for our dog etc. It actually ended up being a big issue for us as that exit door is used every few minutes including 5am. It shares the same wall as the headboard/bed to room 165 and slams shut so hard that the bed shakes. Extremely loud too (heard it through white noise and earplugs). The first night it seemed to fix itself, but the second night was horrible. I mentioned it to the staff when checking out and they seemed aware of the issue. Left feeling a bit cheated given you pay hundreds of dollars to sleep and we couldn't.

This door really needs a permanent fix or should be locked at night/Emergency exit only. It disturbed our sleep the most, I assume, given our location but I imagine nearby rooms can hear it and possibly feel it too. Not too happy about being given that room as a "perk". Avoid room 165 and nearby ones.

We stayed there last weekend and the place looked really nice! My only surprise and disgust was when I saw silverfish in my bathroom in the evenings. This was a real turnoff and seriously reduced my enjoyment!

Found a GEM! So delighted with the quality, cleanliness, and value for the price tag. First time staying at a Staybridge Suite, won't be the last. The check in was smooth, everything was spotless, eased the stress!
The Suite itself is so well laid out. We are loving the kitchen in the Suite. The king bed is so comfy. The breakfast in a bag was really well done and plentiful, served with a smile! Thank you to Rose at the front desk for being so friendly and asking about our day each time we saw her! This locale is so central to everything NOTL. 5 mins from the Outlet area. 20 mins from Flat Rock Cellars Winery (my fav!), so be sure to check it out! We have just found our favourite place to stay when in this area! Enjoy it for yourself!

Convenient location. Staff is friendly.

However, Cleanliness is only on the surface, only what meets the eye. Had quite a few instances where I found it lacking.
1. The exhaust fan in the toilet wasn't working. When I looked at the exhaust, it was extremely dirty. I am posting a picture as well.
2. I thought of warming some water in the electrical cattle in the kitchenette. It was so dirty and scaly from inside. Attached a picture.
3. In the breakfast area, exactly above my table there was a web connecting the two lamps. The web or spider could fall in your food or on your table. Which means it clearly didn't get the attention it deserves.

Fantastic suite room with kitchen and separate bedroom. Very nice shower. Full size refrigerator. Microwave and two burner induction stove. Located close to all Niagara attractions.
A little pricey but worth it.

I stayed here while some renovations were being done in my home. I was here for 25 nights and was really pleased with this hotel. There were several features that improved accessibility, including curb cuts in the parking lot, wide sidewalks and hallways, automatic door openers from the patio. Seating on the patio was moveable to allow for wheelchair users to join in conversations. When I arrived the recumbent bike in the gym was not functioning. The management responded quickly and had it repaired in a few days.
In the store, the cupboard in the kitchenette were lower than standard, though I'm not sure if a wheelchair user would find them convenient. The bathroom was large and there was space enough to sit at the vanity. The shower stall was large with garb bars and a bench that was guiness grub the wall. A shower seat is available if you ask. It would be a good idea to list that in the bathroom. I found the hand held shower was installed at an awkward height and distance from the installed bench-the shower seat might have solved that. The shampoo, etc was not within reach, and the pumps were hard to press, so i used my own.
The bed was at a good height for me, not sure about a wheelchair user. The bed is king-sized and the chair blocked the nightstand drawer but i didn't need it. The dresser has soft close drawers. There is plenty of space for a person using a walker to manoeuvre on one side of the bed.
The seating area was a bit cramped with a coffee table, loveseat and chaise lounge. Great for people not using mobility devices but tricky for walkers and probably impossible for wheelchair users.

The table was a good height for the chairs.

Getting breakfast was easy everything was packaged well so there was no danger of spilling, although i didn't try getting the coffee back to me room, The take out breakfast was good.

The staff are amazing. Friendly, helpful and quick to respond to any request or suggestions.

I can't comment on the pool as i didn't use it.

Automatic door openers on the gym and laundry would help.

Brand new, very modern and extremely clean. All Suites have built in kitchens. Like a modern good sized brand new condo in Toronto.

This is an excellent place to stay, the rooms are spotless! The staff are amazing and so friendly, they are pet friendly so my dog can enjoy the stay as mush as we do. They also have a great breakfast in the mornings as well.

Lovely hotel. Very friendly staff. Clean and safe. Breakfast was well organised. Our suite was great. Comfy bed. Well equipped kitchen. Coffee tea and. We feel quite spoiled, and will probably want a suite instead of a regular room all the time now. We felt our dog was welcome. Good sound proofing, we heard one other dog barking but only from the corridor, and not loud. Very quiet in room.

Once again, I recently enjoyed a lovely night at the staybridge. The staff are delightful (very warm, welcoming and always helpful).

Rooms are always very clean. The bed is comfortable. And there are black out curtains!

The kitchenettes are well stocked and come in handy.

I travel a lot for work and this is a go to for me in the niagara region.

The only small downside would be the bathroom lighting. It makes ya look great (which I love) but it's difficult to get the right lighting for makeup application (first world problems). So if makeup is for you, bring your best lighted mirror.

Give it a go. You won't regret it. I never have.
