We had an absolutely delightful stay here. The service is outstanding - the staff’s attention to detail and willingness to accommodate is some of the best I’ve ever experienced. The beautiful historic building is full of cozy nooks and comfy sofas, and a lovely bright dining room with a view of the lake.
The food is fantastic, and they have done an amazing job of accommodating dietary needs and restrictions. Our room in Haldimand cottage was very nicely equipped, although we hardly spent any time there, between hanging out in the thermal baths, our spa treatments, and the dining room!
Their system of creating an itinerary with scheduled treatments and meals takes away any decision fatigue, and creates a supremely relaxing environment all around.

Highly recommend it. Long story (my reviews are usually two sentences) - Very nice worker there named Shane I think. Was skeptical bc once we got past the line of ppl checking in, the two clerks didn’t even notice us, so we went to one clerk and she acted like we weren’t there for 2 minutes and then, the other clerk was available for the next ppl in line. Then our clerk said hi and took us in, no smile or anything. Shane then was so nice and gave us our robes. Lockers crammed, nowhere but spotless changing rooms, literally spotless. The outdoor hot pools were amazing. Eucalyptus room amazing but the machine’s noisydrying room amazing. Relaxation Massage very relaxing but even after asking for it a little deeper, she explained this is how it was supposed to be. Satisfied. Massage waiting room was peaceful, but the coffee was tasteless. Dining room was gorgeous, lunch was almost incredible. My lamb ragu had the freshest pasta quality, but the meat was hard to even see, kinda like strands, also kinda tasteless. My girl’s mushroom pasta was 100% tasteless and she had the guts to send it back, but the fish they gave her was AMAZING. Still, I’d say the lunch was great based on the apps and dessert and service and view. Then we went to the pools, found the waterfall/standing jets and I was blown away, sooo good. Chakra class - so good. High tea - blown away by how good it was. Made me feel like I’ve never had high tea before. Then the fireplace room, and we walked around, just stunning. After more pools, we wrapped up and the inn keeper really wanted to know how satisfied I was, and I appreciated that about her. So I wouldn’t mind trying some other spas, but I would recommend this place as long as people know that if they don’t like something they can send it back, and maybe grab a coffee somewhere better on the way in.

I visited once, years ago for a bachelorette weekend getaway, and this place is exceptional! I recommend it to everyone. It's worth saving up for.

BEWARE! No transparency of fees/pricing and misleading language used in marketing! St Anne’s Spa inaccurately marketed to my best friend and I for her birthday day trip and services. We were told the total day package was 370 (with tax) and that a 150$ allowance towards spa services was INCLUSIVE. We sadly learned at the time of paying that it was not included and was actually an ADDITIONAL credit. So while they took a 150$ deposit from us and led us to believe that the allowance was part of the day rate we were utterly shocked and disappointed that that was a lie and we actually had to pay it additionally and then “get a credit” which in reality was not a credit at all as initially discussed. The total bill ended up much higher than was originally expected based on inaccurate information provided at the time of reservation. Wasted 45 min after trying to figure out why the bill was suddenly so high even though we also had paid a large deposit.

A very sad and disappointing ending to an experience we thought would be better. Save your money and go elsewhere! Not worth it!

Honestly way over priced for what you get! I suggest if you’re looking for a massage and thermal experience, go to Nordik! It’s about half the cost.
The facials were terrible. When we booked they didn’t mention anything about not doing extractions until the day of. $144 plus tax to have them rub cream on your face. Every other spa we’ve been to, does proper facials.

My best friend and I went for my birthday getaway. This was the first time we had ever been to st Anne’s. When we arrived we expected there would be somewhere for us to eat. We were told that lunch was full so they couldn’t seat us, but we could get a shuttle down the road to the bakery.

When we went to the bakery and called for a shuttle back, they never showed up. We waited 40 minutes and then decided to walk. (Approx 25 minutes) missing our reservation for “tea time”. When we got back and the front desk was apologetic but still wasn’t okay as we confirmed multiple times that they were called.

The massages were “okay”. Definitely over priced.

Food and serving staff were good!

However, when we booked we were told 980 plus taxes for an over night and day spa package. When we got our bill after it was 1580. When calling to confirm why the bill was so high, they told us we shouldn’t have been told 980 and the price was wrong.

Honestly, I give it a 2 as it is a beautiful spot and the food was decent. However, if we would have been aware of the cost, we would have went elsewhere. Not worth the $.

Unfortunately we won’t be back

The spa is beautiful and the grounds are kept immaculately. 4 stars because some of the staff were not the nicest - it sometimes felt like we were bothering them. We came by the reception later in the evening (just before midnight) and the person as the desk was quite rude about not being able to book classes for us since she was just there for “night audit”. The innkeeper also lingered at our table for breakfast without introducing herself. Otherwise, our massages were great, the baths were wonderful and the eucalyptus steam room was a hit. The rooms were beautiful and the beds were so comfortable.

It is a decent spa. They should however not force customers to buy food to validate the pricing. They should just have a entry price for the facilities.

My fiancee and I decided to come here for a day visit to celebrate our 7 year anniversary. We were so excited to enjoy a relaxing day and have heard so many great things about St. Anne's. Although it was very pricey, we wanted to splurge to celebrate our special day. However, we were very wrong.

St. Anne's is EXTREMELY overpriced for a such a subpar and mid experience. We paid almost $1000 for food, afternoon tea, a day pass & massages for the two of us and had high expectations which is absolutely insane and so not worth it. The food was average with very small portions. The massage was ok at best and the spa was not relaxing at all. It was noisy everywhere you went which goes against the point of a spa and no staff enforced the quiet zones. People were watching Netflix or playing loud music in the female baths and drinks were spilled (with the bottles in the water) in the outdoor pools which were not maintained nor cleaned. It was very hard to relax. The grounds itself was very beautiful and had potential.

After our stay, we were asked to provide feedback which was absolutely pointless because no one got back to us nor cared. Very disappointing experience to say the least.

Spend your money elsewhere, there are much nicer places.

The massage and facial treatments were fantastic as were the hydrotherapy pools, however on the last day the jets were not working and there didn't seem to be any staff around to fix it

I had the eucalyptus wrap and it was obvious the staff was new and had to ask someone else how to perform the treatment.

The accommodation was mediocre, beds springy and uncomfortable, and a general lack of amenities in rooms overall.

Food was mediocre and extremely dated.

Underseasoned, overcooked, and trapped in the late 1980s

Risotto was awful, overcooked duck and steak. The desserts again were mediocre, however the vegan ice cream was excellent.

Enormous bowls and plates with fussy plating details, and swirls of unnecessary toppings, very difficult on their staff, and every single meal period there was breakage.

One of the servers was wearing a mingle mask which is not approved by health canada, and does not prevent the spread of droplets or aerosols.

Dining decor was also extremely dated, as was room decor, needs an update. They also claim they follow-up with a courtesy call after every visit, which I have never received

UPDATE: They never called even after posting review.

An exquisite babymoon! What a treat it was to stay overnight at Ste Anne’s Spa in January of 2021. Feeling ten months pregnant (I was only seven along at the time), the staff were so wonderfully accommodating and attentive to ensure that my husband and I had a relaxing stay. We started off our stay with Swedish massages. The RMT was trained in prenatal massage (both techniques used and assistive equipment) which put me completely at ease. I noticed improvement to my mobility and circulation for a considerable time after the massage which was certainly a benefit in my last trimester! All meals were delivered at the time, as the dining room was closed, and the staff executed this so well. The food was delicious, well plated and plentiful! Our favourites were the beef, fish, risotto and the cheesecake. Later that evening, it began to snow while we enjoyed the hydrotherapy pools. Incredible! That experience transported us back to the hot springs and waterfalls of Iceland where we were engaged. A truly beautiful moment. The silence of a winter’s night interrupted by the wonderful crashing of waterfall waves. Pure tranquility. Watching the sunrise over the snow topped buildings after a wonderful sleep was the cherry on top. We look forward to returning to celebrate another milestone in the future.

Such a relaxing spa day with my other half! Loved how it wasn’t crazy busy like some spas, even on a Sunday! We got to enjoy ourselves together in peace everywhere we hung out. We enjoyed the atmosphere at St. Anne’s. Everyone was super professional & our treatments were all 10/10. Mom to be package is definitely recommended! We can’t wait to go back!

A relaxing retreat, with lovely staff and beautiful property. Everyone should go to the St. Anne's Spa at least once in their life. You will walk away feeling refreshed and wanting more. I'm so grateful for all the great memories I shared with my sisters at this great place.
30 July 2022 18:34
This place was an absolute dream. It made me feel like I was truly away on vacation. My mum, sister and I enjoyed our experience very much. The locker rooms are clean and kept clean throughout the day, the food was divine, the service was exceptional, the amenities were fabulous, the grounds were beautiful. I cannot say enough good things about this place. It is pricey, but in my opinion, totally worth it for a nice weekend or even day away. Treat yourself, you deserve it!

My cousin & I both loved our stay at Ste Anne's Spa! We stayed at Grafton Inn which was clean & comfortable. We enjoyed the shuttle service back & forth. The staff was wonderful, food delicious, spa service with Keira heavenly. The grounds are beautiful and so clean. Loved the hot tubs, steam rooms, sauna. Our experience far exceeded our expectations. Loved chatting with so many happy customers & staff.there was a group of gals enjoying a stagette party which was so nice to see. Highly recommend!

Luxury is traded for pure comfort, friendliness and zen. A perfect 1-2 day getaway with delicious food. Treatment options are like the food menu at the cheesecake factory. So many options! There is a treatment for everybody. If you haven't been, you must try. If you have been before, you must go back!
12 July 2022 12:14
We had a really good time at Ste Anne's. We booked the overnight package when the restaurants were operating in a "delivery mode" during COVID (a waiter would deliver you full, pre-ordered meal to your table) and were still able to enjoy the food.
The place itself is lovely - beautiful, clean and well kept - a great escape from the city.
We also tried a couple of massages at the spa - one was very good, the other only average; like with any other spa, it depends on the masseuse you're getting.
Overall it's a great experience, though quite pricy.
04 July 2022 23:36
The spa is clean, the food is delicious, the staff is so helpful and great service.
The services to pamper you are awesome.
02 July 2022 12:45
This was our first time at Ste Anne's and it didn't disappoint! We stayed in the canopy room which was very nicely decorated and a great atmosphere provided you know this isn't going to be a modern hotel experience.
We liked the location of the room because it's on the second floor of the old building with windows facing the main pool. Note that if you mobility issues, it's not quite accessible.

Meals were all fantastic! Especially the beef dishes. Apparently they raise their own cattle? From the hydrotherapy pools to the rmt swedish massage to the complimentary feed and lead at the stables and the fun ebike tour with Chris, we had a great time!

If you come, definitely try the lemon tart with blueberry lavender ice cream that Zoe recommended.

Ste Annes is at a price point that positions itself with other Ontario destinations such as Langdon Hall. I would strongly urge you to skip Ste Annes and visit either of those properties to understand just how sub-par the experience is relative to those.

Large bachelorette parties drinking in the thermal spa pools, with no regard for noise (and no intervention by staff).

Poor food selection and quality.

Spa treatments are fine, but facilities are dated.

Update: It took roughly one week to hear back from a member of the Ste Anne's team that was able to address the concerns that I had with our stay. They offered a full refund for our stay, which we appreciated.

Ste. Anne's Spa is like a dream! The staff are simply outstanding, from the front desk, to the therapists, to the dining staff, to the shuttle drivers and to all the other staff that keep this spa running so smoothly! The food is delicious and you will never go hungry! So much choice and done so elegantly! Looks as good as it tastes! The spa has beautiful gardens and walking paths, amazing sauna and steam baths, and enjoyable pools to rejuvenate and relax. The treatments are amazing with many choices, as well as the many classes one can take. We stayed off site at the Grafton Inn and this was so comfortable and clean. Just the most delightful, relaxing stay! Ste, Anne's Spa is outstanding! Just so beautiful!

Truly a wonderful place to shed the stress of the past couple of COVID years! Our four ladies, 2 night getaway in early May was just what we all needed. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were treated to fabulous food and well coordinated spa treatments that were first class. The hydrotherapy pools are a “must”. Beautiful gardens with so many unique visual surprises and plenty of seating spaces to relax and enjoy the views over the hills.
Accommodation was spacious and comfortable
with timely pick up service to and from the Sante Nook to the Inn whenever it was needed.
The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and went out of their way to make sure our stay was everything we were expecting. We will be back!
19 June 2022 9:06
Visited Saint Anne's for the first time and despite all recommendations it was very disappointing. The pool area was packed and there were 2 groups of bachelorettes who were very loud and had no respect for others. The quality of food was average at best. You'd expect healthier options on "5 star" spa menu rather than burger, mushroom grilled cheess, pork belly and etc. The few healthy options were complete disappointments.

Staff were friendly and treatments were good but for the price you pay everything else was below average. Definitley won't be going backZ

Beautiful day! Enjoyed the day, amazing amenities loved the plunge pool. I don’t think they know the word “no” every request was answered with a smile and yes of course. Definitely worth the price. You leave feeling very relaxed. We will return again!

I felt like I died and went to heaven where everything is peaceful, beautiful and everyone is wearing white. Would recommend to anybody who wants to have a romantic get away or a relaxing day. Amazing place, worth every dollar.

I have been to Ste Annes a few times and always enjoyed my stay, but their customer service during the pandemic was the furthest thing from a 5 star spa. After booking a reservation, they refused to refund the $300 deposit that I could not attend due to Covid. Really disappointing.

It’s been years since I’ve been to St. Anne’s and to my surprise upon my return this time I’ve discovered that additions had been made. WOW! SO BEAUTIFUL! I’ve brought my partner this time After being in Covid lockdowns without travel. I’ve decided to make this a much needed retreat for the two of us. As my partner had been involved in the orchestrating of Covid vaccine rollout. This was a very stressful time in our lives. Not to mention with our wedding being postponed not once, not twice, but three times. And still hasn’t happened yet the stress had been mounting for us both. To say this getaway was a much needed on is an understatement. We stayed in the Maud Watt suite. It was lovely! We felt so at home. The staff were so incredibly friendly and went above and beyond for us. Both myself and Allen (my partner) couldn’t have expected anything more. The treatments were amazing! The food was exceptional and every time we turned around everyone was so accommodating on levels we couldn’t have fault in a single thing. A couple of the staff asked if we we’re friends of Jim and David. Regretfully we don’t know either one on a personal level. But judging of how everyone speaks so highly of them both it would be great to one day meet them. Being in business for myself I know how difficult how it can be to keep so many personalities under one roof happy and working as a unit. These guys clearly have nailed it. Both Allen and I are most impressed and would recommend it highly to everyone we know. And you can believe we will be back. To the boys Jim and David, keep up the great work the focus on details are exceptional and the positive energy and healing spirits here are alive and well. We can’t wait to come back.

Did an overnight stay here for my significant others' birthday, overall the experience was excellent albeit on the pricey side.

I would definitely say this is an upper scale spa with the ambiance, amenities, location and service.

My favorite person was Sheldon who is at the parking lot entrance and greets you when entering, so up beat, friendly and personable. Definitely the right person for that role.

There were some minor hiccups but everything was taken care of to ensure the stay was a positive experience, I was also surprised when I received a follow up call from Paige - definitely someone who knows about customer service!

I will certainly be back here in the future and hope to stay for a few days to get the full experience.

Ive been visiting Ste Annes annual for a few years now and I have to say that my Sept 2021 visit has been the best thus far. Recent renovations to the grounds (added additional outdoor pools with varying temperatures) really evelate the outdoor experience and the food offering have really gone up in portion, quality and taste. Well done. A day trip is really, really worth the money. Looking forward to coming back every year ️Staff provided excellent service. The stay was perfect.

Relaxing getaway with superb spa services and delicious cuisine. Highly recommend splurging on an overnight in the cottages.
14 September 2021 8:36
Wonderful stay, a much needed escape from the pandemic restrictions.

Great welcome and COVID test with review of safety protocols from Taylor.

Enjoyed the 12 minute walk, from Robin, to the main house (a shuttle is available if wished, or own vehicle), great food, all staff very professional, friendly & most helpful.

Took the opportunity for trail walks each day, excellent yoga session (thanks Nicole), super massages (thanks Christina, also Mike for my wife), and help with the dining experience (thanks Megan).

Guess the best rating is the fact that we booked to be back in August!
