The owner and his wife are very welcoming the food tasted great and his variety of home made sauces are a bonus they are by far the best ive had thank you again

They made our orders quickly, the food was all very fresh, and of course it also tasted amazing. The owners were also very sweet and kind to me and my family! A definite must-get if you're in Windsor.

I ordered a medium mixed poutine from here. I’m glad I didn’t order a large because the medium was plenty filling. Good ratio of fries: cheese: meats

What blew me away was how many sauces they had. I got the standard mild, but also avocado, mango, and banana (they had other flavors as well, but those were the ones I got on mine). It was very delicious.

Amazing food. I get my lunch here everyday now. Trying something new everyday coz they have amazing homemade sauces too!

The food is really good. Owner was super nice. I got to sample all of the homemade sauces. Definitely go with the sweet and spicy one. Just wish the shawarma wraps were bigger.

Came here with my parents when I landed in June. I got the Phillysteak Poutine with a bunch of sauces recommended by the owner. Decent and worth a try (8.1/10). Mom and Dad both enjoyed the food, but weren't as high on it as I was. I thought the service and the offer to try the sauces before eating them was excellent marketing, a must and worth the experience to go this place. I'd go back to try the other recommended options like the Chicken Fajita Sub.

Stopped in for a bite to eat on lunch and was absolutely blown away. Owner is incredibly nice and truly cares for his food and his city's people. Best shawarma I have ever had for only $8! I'm not a big pickle fan so I ordered none on, then he gave me a single pickle to try that was homemade and absolutely amazing. Then he gave me a spoon and let me try like 6 of his homemade sauces that were all delicious. Some of the flavours were really creative and they're all made without any processed ingredients. The mango sauce was so incredible I am going to have to go back to buy a bottle. I don't write reviews often, this was genuinely an outstanding eating experience.

I got a chicken salad today from steak n shawarma and it was absolutely amazing! The owners were so welcoming and generous while immediately making me feel like I’m at home. Fattoush tasted like home with their amazing citrusy, lemony vinaigrette and juicy, flavourful chicken, but the stars of the show were their homemade sauces. The owner nicely and generously decorated the plate with the variety of fresh sauces he makes in his kitchen which include unique flavours like mango, raspberry, and avocado… things we would traditionally never see in our Lebanese cuisine. But I think it is amazing how he successfully incorporated different flavours into our cuisine, and it was all amazing. I HIGHLY recommend!

One of the best places to eat shawarma in downtown. People are very kind.special mention is the shawarma uncle. Go tell him the exact same thing " I wanna have a shawarma and make it your way" and then you are in for the best experience.

Best shawarma in windsor! You can definitely tell that the owner put a lot of effort and passion into his food. Love his special sauce, whatever he put into this sauce is just amazing! I visited them weekly and definitely gotta try his “traditional style” chicken shawarma! It’s the best! And must try the rice with garlic sauce and special sauce! You won’t regret!

It was my first time there the other day and it was soooo good! The service was amazing as well as the food, they said I'd love the poutine with sweet heat sauce and chicken in it and I absolutely did!

So good! Very friendly atmosphere and owners, and amazing food. My girlfriend and I both got shawarma poutine with beef, with avocado sauce and sweet spicy sauce. Sauces were very good, and we were given samples before ordering to help our decision. Highly recommend!

Thanks so much to the Windsor community for rating this shop. We chose it based on the stars and comments and mannnn this place delivered! Flavour packed homemade sauces, AMAZING friendly, warm, talkative service and huge portions. Sweet heat was my favorite sauce, but they have 5 made daily you can sample if you ask.

I went to Steak N Shawarma for the first time today and I had such a lovely experience! The owners were very pleasant, and take great pride in their food. Everything is homemade - the sauces, burgers, grape leaves, with all fresh ingredients. You can taste the passion, and the unique flavors just hit the taste buds differently. Highly recommend.

I came here hungry after work and this place did not disappoint. I was welcomed by both owners who were really nice to me. One of them started telling me about the types of sauces that he makes and even made me sample a couple so I can decide if I wanted to add any to my dish. I ordered the mixed shawarma plate and it was very filling. Even the rice was special and tasted great. In most shawarma places they just serve with regular white rice with no flavour. Everything was full of flavour. I will definitely come back again.

Below Average tasting shawarma wrap, little sweet due to sauce which is uncommon in a shawarma wrap. The chicken was not fresh for sure and was kept in fridge. No to happy with experience overall. Portion size was ok but after all what matters is taste and freshness of ingredients.

Best please in Windsor to get steak with magical taste, very delicious and fresh food with amazing customer service. I love this restaurant and recommend everyone to try their menu and the unique dishes. I visited the restaurant many times after my first visit and I can’t describe my experience trying the amazing dishes.

Definitely must go to place in Windsor. We tried them out and have been regulars ever since. Its the authentic home made food, genuine friendly service from a wonderful couple, and food thatll leave your pants tight but still wanting more!

Awesome family owned restaurant.
I spoke with the owner for a short time, and he was telling me of all the sauces he makes, spicy avocado, spicy strawberry, spicy mango, and a whole bunch of others.
The owner is proud of his work, and he should be! The results are amazing. Great flavors, and excellent food. I would for sure visit again. Was nice to see a family owned business still open, and serving customers even now.

Hands down one of the best, if not the THE best restaurant downtown. I don't usually make reviews but I absolutely had to for this restaurant. Amazing variety of sandwich's, wraps and plates. All of their sauces are made in-house, all of the meats and veggies are cooked fresh and the owners are absolutely fantastic people. I drive literally fully across town for their Philly Steak sandwich and spicy garlic potato. Steak & Shawarma deserves and definitely has earned a 10 out of 10.

My mind is blown. Steak n Shawarma is a whole new take on Middle Eastern cuisine. The food is out of this world. My husband and I consider ourselves to be tough food critics and have eaten everywhere around the world. The chef here has such a strong attention to detail; so much so that he has created his own spice blends and sauces that are beyond amazing. I ordered the shawarma plate and let me tell you; each bite was a new, delicious experience. My husband had the philly steak sub (Best he ever had), and also was compelled to try the shawarma sandwich of course (better than anywhere in Lebanon- yes, I said it). These secret sauces made by the owner himself are LIFE CHANGING. This place should be featured on The Food Network. They have this amazing avocado sauce, the sweet heat is a must try, there is a spicy blackberry and even a spicy watermelon to name a few. Spicy coconut debuts on Monday- can’t wait! This is not just Windsor’s hidden gem. People from the GTA and the States actually drive all the way here just for their Shawarma. The owners, Ali and Hanna are the kindest, coolest, most generous people you will find! We are so happy that we discovered this place and you will be too. You’re welcome.

No wonder this place has a very high rating. The food is delicious and the people working there are so humble and friendly. I don't really like shawarma that much in general, but their chicken sandwich and sauces changed my opinion a little. I'm still not a fan of their falafel sandwich as I found it to be very salty, but their Sweet Heat sauce is a must try sauce. I'd recommend their Chicken sandwich, chips, chicken with salad and Sweet Heat sauce for sure. Great prices for the amount of food they give you.
Out of our 5 nights stay in Windsor, we went here 4 nights in a row for dinner because the food is just so addicting! It is sad that they don't have another location in GTA. Would've been great!

I called for a pickup of a family dish on a hungry night and it turned out that I had the most delicious shawarma ever in the U. S.and Canada. The meat was juicy and delicious and it came together very nicely with rice. The special sauce is a must-try - it was invented and home-made by the chef, not available anywhere else. We bought food there twice later and enjoyed it a lot. This is a family-owned restaurant and the owners are very friendly people and culinary artists. We would definitely come back to buy more food.

Purchased a Shawarma poutine because I was excited to see what it would be. I highly think the poutine was over priced, of course would never purchase after the experience I was dealt with. I’ve never ate burnt Shawarma meat in my life. I purchased the chicken Shawarma poutine. Nothing special. Fries are frozen fries. Shawarma meat was why I wrote this review. The meat was all burnt like burnt whoever was cooking it over cooked it and burnt basically all the chicken to the point most of it was black. Very disappointed. Also the price was a bit hefty for the portion/food you get. Rating it 1 star because that’s what it is. Will never try this place again or recommend this place to anyone.

Can I just say, I love love love the owners they are the most friendly people ever. I tried their shawarma and poutine just phenomenal and was made with so much love. They have so many different sauces to put on and all are homemade EVEN the hot sauce. If you’re in the mood to give your tastebuds a nice treat, then this is the place for sure!

This place is like nothing you’ve had before. My boyfriend and I planned a weekend trip to Windsor just to have their shawarma poutine and experience the incredible flavours you won’t find anywhere else. We live in Toronto, and back in the summer my boyfriend came out to Windsor for work and spoke highly of this place, he got on great with the owners, and was obsessed with the food. When I picked him up we went here to have the shawarma salad and it was unbelievably good. Today I had the shawarma poutine and it did not disappoint. We purchased their sweet heat sauce to bring home because it’s to die for. There are a lot of shawarma places in Windsor but I would highly recommend Steak n Shawarma for their unique flavours, sauces, and their hospitality. They are good people and take pride in their service and quality of food. Can’t wait to visit again soon.

You can’t go wrong with stopping at this place doesn’t matter where you came from you wouldn’t complain. The owner is very friendly and the wife also very friendly. The son is also great. You would meet the owner and his wife in the mornings and the sons in the evening. They’re all great people. Customer service is great. Now the food I would say tried a lot of shawarma places but this place is the best in Windsor. Food is prepared fresh and in front of you and the sauces wow man wow it’s so great. It’s the best family owned business in the shawarma restaurant business in Windsor I would say. I went to this place over 20 times and would keep on going if everything is the same in the future. Selection includes sweet heat, avocado, pineapple, mango, blackberry, peach, coconut? , sour and spicy, spicy watermelon, and spicy kiwi. I was recommended the Shawarma Poutine with all the flavours and was immediately taken back by the plethora of amazing flavors. Would highly recommend if you have a tongue and want to treat it. The owners are very friendly and warm. Highly suggest giving it a try!
