WOW I searched many competitors online & then spoke to most of them (real property insurance needs tons of info b4 accurate quotes)!
Desjardins online referred my inquiry to my local office/agent (Stephen Ostapchuk's office) & Leanne East called. Her VM msg was friendly, pleasant & professional & it made me want to call her back! (Some similar VM's did not garner the same reaction ~ as a sales & marketing professional & manager i can be a little fussy about professionalism, esp when dealing w my $$)!
Leanne was the same on the phone & handled my account quickly as well. She even saved me some $$ between the original quotes & the final pricing on 2 properties + (on her own investigation)!

I recently purchased my first home and had Leanne East from Desjardins insurance recommended to me by my mortgage broker. I sent my first email to Leanne with a request for a bundle price for my new home and car insurance. I was pleasantly surprised to hear back quite quickly! Leanne also immediately provided a list of information she required from me to be able to put together my quote promptly. Even though I sent her a VIN for my vehicle that was missing a digit, Leanne was still able to give a quote for the auto insurance (which turned out to the correct price after verifying the VIN!) Overall, I'm very pleased with the correspondence I had with Leanne, and would recommend her services to anyone looking for an insurance agent who is polite, prompt, knowledgeable and (even evident through email!) cheerful. I have been working with Stephen Ostapchuk Desjadins Insurance for close to if not more than a decade (time flies). I have nothing but great things to say about the team there. My agent is Mike and I have always had excellent experiences when I reach out.

I called Mike one early morning after I was rear ended heading out to a business meeting, and his initial response was "oh-no - are you okay? Is everybody okay? ". When I reassured him yes, all parties are fine, he swung into action and took care of everything for me and the others involved. I was able to continue on with my day knowing the situation is in great hands.

I find their rates to be competitive, but more than that, I know they care about my business. Mike is always looking for ways to help. Whether it is through a review current/competitive rates for all of my insurance policies or working through lending opportunities for pending large purchases its always through the lens of "what's in the best interests of my client".
