Always love going there staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and they got great instruments for all musicians

I'm happy an old school music store like this still exists. The people behind the counter are always helpful and the selection of guitar and bass strings are great.

Found a music book for a niece. Didn't book the store would carry it. Good selection of books and great selection of guitars and other mystical instruments. Nice staff.

I bought my first guitar here about 15 years ago and go here to get it serviced from time to time.

I bought ear plugs from this place.
I've purchased several headphones (just got a new set today actually).
I've been a long time customer and everything has always been great except for one thing.

Whenever I'm there there's almost always at least one staff member who gives off a suspicious, wary vibe.as if they don't expect me (a *black* musician) to be there. They recently hired a lightskin dude with dreads and yet this still occurs. They are always playing rock music (something invented primarily by black people like Chuck Barry) and yet this still happens. Even today as I decided to just walk through the electric guitar stacks I was watched like a hawk by one of the staff who even came from behind their desk to keep an eye on me (I can't imagine anyone being able to easily lift and run off with a Jackson electric in hand without being seen).

Its a bit farther but honestly I think I'm considering making the trip to long & McQuade to avoid this all together as its chipped away at my enjoyment of this place.

I enjoyed my latest visit there. Helpful staff and clean place. I wish I could afford the guitar I want though. Keep up the awesome customer service all

First time ever going to the store today and probably my last. Waited around for help while two staff were having a conversation. Stood right in front of them and didn’t say anything assuming they’d wrap it up cuz there was a customer right in front of them but they couldn’t care less

A bit scattered getting guitars checked in, but guitar tech Lenton was able to do rush service - what a life-saver.

Could be the worst music store in the GTA. If you like shopping there I can only assume you haven't tried anywhere else.

Tried to go here today at the Queen and Spadina store, never been a fan of their service, raced after work to get there at 5: 50pm, as quick as I could before closing at 6pm - closed, with someone leaving the door. Don’t advertise being open until 6pm if you’re going to close early, I just needed to get a quick power cable for a Strymon pedal.

Had a wonderful experience with Steve's Music. They were the only place in Canada that had the specific PA speakers I was looking for. Their website was easy to navigate, checkout was a breeze, and shipping was super fast to me here in Winnipeg! Definitely will be doing business again:)

Honestly the best music shop ive ever been to. Ive taken multiple guitars, multiple times for repairs and its always done in a week or less! Great all around service. Staff is always ready to answer any questions and everyone is very passionate about their craft. You guys rock!

We wanted to look at cymbals and drums on the top floor. The sales guy was very rude and said the noise from the cymbals wouldn't bother him if we were actually buying something and asked us to leave because he had to go on break. I wanted to buy my partner a snare drum and stand as a surprise but could not. Incredibly disappointing experience.

Told me they could consider a cash trade for a used guitar, but I had to come into the shop to talk about it. After a 40 minute Uber ride, the clerk bluntly told me that they never do cash trades and never have. Ridiculous.

Called ahead to put a product on hold and process was very quick and easy, employees are very nice and are ready and willing to help you and answer any questions you may have, definitely my go to when it comes to any music equipment needs!
