Sticks n Bones - Dog Daycare, Boarding and Training

Love the theme days and activities these guys do with the dogs! They have a ton on space to run around with this large yard I love how it’s sanded.

These people love dogs, pizza, whip cream, 8 rounds a day! Newly renovated to ensure the dogs get the best care possible! These guys are the real deal

This place is very disorganized. When I picked up my dog they didn't even know which dog to bring out even though he'd been there for a week. They couldn't find his leash. Then charged me an extra $15 because the checkout time was 11: 04. I had entered the building at 10: 45. And had to wait for them. They do not give you a detailed bill (they e-mail it). I was given an interac receipt so you cannot see what they are charging. I will not be using this kennel in the future.

Worked with Alexia at sticks and bones with our two rescues. Very knowledgeable trainer for working through issues with reactivity and building confidence. Would recommend to anyone looking to improve their skills with their pups.

Overall the facilities seems pretty average, we were never given the chance to see further than the entrance so unsure as to how the actual boarding spacing looks aside from few images found online. However, the customer service is enough to consider another boarding location rather than this place. We boarded our 10 month German Shepard for 12 nights and told them multiple times before hand that we wanted to chose the 10night package (only saves you $40 but that’s still a good deal) although they told us since we didn’t mention the package again to them in the 20 seconds they stepped outside to grab the dog and her food we were not able to receive the package. There was still 10mins left until they closed for the day when we dropped her off but we were rushed away as if being there during their operation hours was an inconvenience to them. We even called the next morning to confirm the package and they said they would not honour the package deal since it was not mentioned during the 20 seconds of drop off. The only reason they provided for not giving the package was that they “get busy during the day and cannot be expected to remember that their clients would want to take advantage of the packages they offer”. Seems like an offer to get you in the door and then they do anything they can to avoid you taking advantage of the savings. In all if you can find another boarding place I would highly recommend saving yourselves the headache!

Edit: We called 2 hours before closing to confirm what time your location closed as well as notified the staff that we would be running late, especially with the weather. Unfortunately, due to the massive snow storm and drifts that were beyond our control to make it to drop off we ran later than the original time however the staff was aware of this. The excuses and inaccurate information provided by the owner for extremely poor customer service is just another reason to avoid of this place except for last resorts, especially when it comes to boarding your pets.

Alexia helped with some training for my foster pup that had some leash aggression. She was punctual, patient, and explained everything so well. My foster pup has improved greatly thanks to her and will now be the perfect addition to anyone's home.

The owners are so friendly and welcoming. I needed training for my pup and they paired me with a wonderful trainer named Alexia. She was so patient and calm with my dog throughout all the sessions and stayed very consistent. She was very punctual and communication was very professional. I am so happy to say that thanks to her training abilities my dogs behavior has improved so much. She taught me everything from basic dog training, leash manners, walking, recall, crate training.you name it! She was so informative and encouraged me to keep trying when things didn't seem to work. Its bittersweet that our training has come to an end but I would highly recommend her to anybody that seeks training for their puppy.

Alexia was our trainer and she was amazing! We wanted to get our newfoundland puppy trained well before she grew HUGE so we decided to take the 5 class course and in 5 classes Alexia taught us how to deal with barking, walking, jumping on people, potty training, leave it commands, stay and recall as well as healthy dog to dog interactions. She even brought her own dog to our sessions so that our puppy could learn how to socialize and respect other dogs boundaries. We’re very happy and have continued to use the techniques that were taught to further train Luna our newfoundland poodle!

Our Logan and Charlie just had their first boarding at Sticks n Bones. Thank you for taking such good care of them!

Alexia is the best dog trainer ever! I am not exaggerating! She taught our puppy so many valuable lessons which helped his confidence, behaviour, and/or attitude. My dog went into training as a puppy with the experience of bullying from a Rottweiler, and developed trust issues, a lack of confidence, and was scared around other dogs and certain situations (along with the normal puppy behaviour - i.e. Counter surfing, nipping with teething, etc.). Alexia provided me with lifelong skills I implemented within my puppy's life. She taught me valuable lessons and Bruno is so much better now! He found his voice and is working more confidently with dogs, despite his bullying trauma. Alexia gets to know your dog on a personal level and knows the science behind dog behaviour. This seriously helps accelerate the dog training process! I swear she is a dog whisperer! Bruno loves her and will be following her training techniques well after our lessons are over. I highly recommend her as a trainer, as she is so kind, patient, respectful, always on time, and understanding.

Amazing staff and their facility caters to social and non social dogs. One of the only places I'd leave my dogs with confidence.

Friendly staff and my Jackson was well taken care of. Lots of pictures taken so I could see him while I was on holidays.

Very friendly staff and my dog returns happy every time! She has some aggressive tendancies (rescue dogs right?), but they have handled her well and report that she's behaved well too.

All in all very happy to have somewhere I can trust when I need someone to tend the pooch because of life!

I was so impressed. I brought my dog Stella there as a first meet and greet for when I need to board her. She has aggression with other dogs so I was very reluctant. They were so amazing there and reassuring that she and the other dogs would be ok. They explained to me about what they do when they have dogs like that there, and all the necessary steps they take to make sure it's a positive experience for everyone, and that she will have no interactions with other dogs. I left Stella there for an hour so they can judge how she will be with their staff. She was so comfortable there she fell asleep in her suite. I am definitely happy with this experience and my mind is at total ease now for when I need to board her. Thank you so much! I know my fur baby will be in good hands.

Sticks n Bones is an absolute sanctuary for dogs. I wish my Fiancée treated me half as well as our puppy gets treated whenever we drop her off here.

The staff are very professional, knowledgeable, and kind. I never have to worry about my dog when I'm away or on vacation. I would recommend Sticks n Bones to everybody!

We rescued an adorable beagle and ran into a couple of hiccups while he and our other dog were getting used to each other. We sought out a professional to help modify our new rescue's behavior. The first contact with Sticks N Bones, we were given great advice and we had just called to ask about training. Sev gave us some things to try over the phone, and spent about 30 minutes talking to us, and we hadn't even booked the course yet. We decided on the 3 week in home program. Within the first 5 minutes of listening and watching Sev with our dog we felt relieved. The way he understood our dog's behavior was impressive. The techniques used were easy to understand, explained fully and easy for us to continue when the program was complete. We are thankful to have found such a great experience and a huge improvement in our dogs behavior. The lifetime support after the course is complete is also a great feature. We've used it already, and it's great to have the instructor to talk to after the fact and for reinforcement, when needed. A first class experience!

Our dogs have been going to Sticks & Bones for over 2+ years. The team at Sticks & Bones truly care about the dogs in their care and treat each dog like their own. We would not trust putting our dogs into any other boarding facility. Our dogs come home tired and happy each time they go for doggy daycare or an overnight visit.

We are so grateful for Sticks n Bones! Our rescue started out as a very anxious, fearful dog who wasn’t much more domesticated than a fox. Dani helped us understand our dog Jessie’s mind and we all learned that she was actually very eager to please and, using Dani’s methods, she quickly learned her place and has become a loving sweet pup. Dani also was a constant resource if we had any questions/ concerns. Always checking in to see how she is doing. Our dog exudes much more confidence, clearly more happy in the house and has amazed us. We are so happy to have the family dog we always wanted. Thank you!

I cannot recommend Sticks N Bones enough. Sandy is our first dog, and at first, we thought a 6 month old rescue was beyond what we could handle. Sev and Dani and the rest of the crew at Sticks N Bones helped turn our howling monster into the most loveable dog you've ever met, including even coming to our house for our training sessions.

If you've EVER thought your dog has anything you want trained better, Sticks n Bones is the place to go. We've used their in house training, their training in Innisfil, their daycare and their boarding and I can honestly say that of all the places we've tried, Sandy is happiest when she's with her friends at Sticks N Bones.

They are the best boarding facility, and best trainers that I know of in the GTA, and I recommend them to friends and family. Don't hesitate. If you have any problems with your dog, call Sticks n Bones!

The team at Sticks n Bones is truly second to none. Their expertise with rescue/street dogs made all the difference for our dog. The in home intensive training helped everyone in our family learn how to handle our reactive dog and helped us gain confidence. Dani has stayed in touch and remained invested in his progress, which has been remarkable. Less than a year later, our boy has made such incredible strides and we are are so grateful to Sticks n Bones.

So glad I used the services of Sticks n Bones! I honestly thought I could manage training my dogs on my own, but the incredibly valuable lessons I learned from Nicci were a game-changer! I am much more relaxed and confident now, with all of my concerns being addressed and easy corrections provided. My dogs are both rescues, found on the streets of other countries, and getting into their mindset was a bit challenging. But Nicci explained it to me, and it totally made sense. Nicci is incredibly passionate about her work, full of knowledge, very professional, but not intimidating in any way. My dogs were extremely responsive to her, as was my young daughter. Based on my excellent experience with Sticks n Bones I plan to continue using them for any other services I require, such as boarding. I truly feel my dogs are in good hands with them; I don't think they view them as clients, I truly believe they care for each of them and consider them family:)

I could write an essay on how amazing Sticks n Bones is, but I will keep it short. The education I received from Sev saved the relationship with my first foster dog. I couldn't see the stressful signs that I was giving off that the dog was receiving. Within one lesson from Sev, the dog and I become closer and much more in sync. It was unbelievable, to be honest.
The second foster I received had aggressive behaviours and had been sent to Sticks n Bones before coming to me. I followed the advice of Sev, and our relationship became so close that I became a foster fail. I will continue to foster in the future with the help of this organization. I can't thank them enough for the patience and kindness they showed me through the stressful moments. Can't recommend enough!

The staff is highly trained and incredibly knowledgeable. They are always there to answer questions and give advice.

Sticks and Bones has great dog training programs. We just completed a 5-Week in home behaviour modification training with our rescue. Dani was our trainer and is very knowledgeable and experienced. She also specializes in rescue dogs who may have experienced some traumas related to their life before finding their family. Sometimes they need a little extra help (but really it helps the owners learn, give them confidence and in turn, help their dogs). Thank you Dani!

Nici spent a huge amount of time teaching us how to gain trust and confidence from our dog Baloo. Our dogs anxiety was causing him to lash out and head down a path that would ultimately end with him being removed from our family. With Nicis guidance, and instruction, we are now in control. Baloo is behaving, listens to our commands and will live a happy long life in our home. Nici might have saved our dog's life. Thank you sticks and Bones

Wonderful place for your pups of any age. Lots of interaction and socializing for your dogs. They will be reluctant to come back home with you as they love being at Sticks n Bones for the day or sleep overs!

We are so happy to have found Sticks n Bones for our two dogs! Paisley gets to socialize and work out all her energy and our rescue Benson has completely changed for the better with their help. He has learned how to socialize with other dogs, learned to play like a dog. He's so happy now. We know that whether they are going for a play day or for boarding, that they will be happy and well cared for! The staff and owners are all amazing with our fur babies!

My pup loves it here! He always had a fun day and comes home pooped for the rest of the evening. The treat the dogs wonderfully and i feel comfortable leaving him there.

I don’t even know where to start in explaining how amazing this facility is. I have a Siberian Husky, who gets anxiety being in unfamiliar places and they do A LOT to ensure he’s happy and comfortable. I took Kado for a “trial run” and they spent 30 minutes giving me an update on how he did, and what we can do to help him going forward. Fast forward to his fifth visit now for doggy daycare, they recommended us getting him a backpack so he feels like he has a “task” on his walks, and gets mental stimulation as well as physical exercise. I have noticed a huge change in walking him, and it’s all thanks to them. They put Kado on the treadmill (for a 9.5 year old dog, he does not get tired very easily lol) so that he gets more exercise than their many pack walks a day, as well as outdoor play time. Every time I have picked him up after his 7am-4pm day, he’s so happy and asleep in the car within 5 minutes of leaving. I was so hesitant in bringing him to another doggy daycare after a horrible experience with one a few weeks prior, but they really do treat your dog like family. They post pictures of them throughout the day, and give you honest updates when you come to pick them up. Highly recommend Sticks N Bones for a reasonably priced place for boarding/daycare of your furry friend!

Lots of outdoor play time (fenced in area) as well as room to run indoors. Dogs are treated like family. My pup loves going, socializing and making new friends. Very fair pricing. Owner Tracey and her staff are genuinely good people who truly care for all dogs.

This is a great place. My dog doesn’t love all people. In fact, he dislikes most people but everytime I drop him off at Sticks n Bones he pulls me to the door. I know he has lots of fun running around and being outside. I also know he gets good loving there and that makes me so happy!
