Buns weren't at the high standard and texture that always brings me back. The buns had a slight char at one end. This is not their norm.

These famous donuts are famous for a reason. 2 of us ate 12 donuts in a day lmao must try and I highly recommend

Stiemar Bread Co is more than just bread and donuts. They have such a large selection of donuts, cookies, cakes and of course bread. Everything was fresh and well stocked. This is my go to store to purchase fresh bread and donuts. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend.

I'm not much of a donut person, but my family loves Stiemar's donuts and their service is always great so I hesitate to give a poor rating.
That being said, I wouldn't advise anyone to get a cake from Stiemar's. We got a cake from here last month for my birthday, and it was one of the worst cakes I've ever had. There was way too much poor quality sugary icing on there, felt like we were eating liquid sugar. The interior crumb of the cake was a bit stale as well, but edible. None of us could eat it though because it was hard to separate it from the icing and wasn't worth the effort.
Now it could be a one-off thing where they had a bad cake, but that's my experience and it was bad enough that I'm not really keen to try again. I'll let my family stick to their donuts and get cake elsewhere.

Best Donuts in Town. In Kitchener, we used to have Norris Bakery, which to me was this areas version of Stiemar. Unfortunately they have closed and I will need to get my fix everytime I head to Windsor.

Ordered a cake and one layer of cake was very hard, could hardly bite through it. Everyone said it tasted stale, the top layer was soft and moist. Not sure how that happened but I’m very disappointed. They’re usually pretty good but this was the worst cake ever.

The smells are wonderful, best doughnuts in the city. The pies are wonderful. The price is right.

WOW! $23 for a dozen donuts I cannot believe nearly $2 a donut. I know your quality is pretty good but who can afford those prices!

We used to go here a lot, but the quality the last two times was horrible. The baked goods were dry and old tasting, and we went around 9am. This is not acceptable for a bakery. We did go to Torus donuts, which is fabulous and highly recommended.

There is a blonde woman and most probably she is the owner or a supervisor of it…
I asked a “crunchy, peanut butter sqaure” and she was so rude and she said “hey all the things you see there and inside of the display screen” CALM DOWN (!) and if you don’t like your job or hate from people “U DON’T HAVE TO DO” or maybe money spoiled U but you have to be NICE! (if U CAN) …then; one of my friend asked the same thing (on a different day), and someone informed her as “ it is coming from Toronto once or twice in a week…”
As I understand you don’t even know “what you have or not”… but u try to make money. S*lly

My father in law has been buying his Light-rye bread from Steimar’s since they opened their doors.
They make a multigrain that doesn’t tastes like eating Playdoh. If ever you want to treat your staff or coworkers, call ahead and get a couple dozen to pick up. As by noon the selection is often slim pickings.

Absolutely love this local Windsor Bakery! Friendly staff and such a delicious treat with my morning coffee:). A must try if you are visiting Windsor. (The Apple Fritters are the best!)

My dad worked at Stiemar Bakery for years! This place was a huge part of my childhood! Truly the best bakery I’ve ever been to! So many wonderful memories All my cakes for my childhood birthday’s were from Stiemar. I look forward to visiting it soon considering it’s only 1 hour and 30 minutes from my apartment in East Lansing MI!

**update Stiemar replying as this further solidifies the fact of me never going to this location again! I did contact no one returned call.with that being said I can’t do the birthday party over again so why bother now? And you wanted me to remove the cake from 17+ peoples plate that didn’t eat it put it in the box and return it to you so you guys can turn around and give me some lame reasoning why no thanks lesson learned! Just like this delayed response, I get it…. I wouldn’t even waste my time let alone future money and I stand by my review!
Stiemar cake I purchased for my child’s birthday was one of the more important parts of the party for me. The cake itself was decent looking however the actual taste of the cake was on the very low end it seem like it was missing an ingredient It wasn’t moist either even worse most guest didn’t eat it: (, It’s seemed poorly whipped together, each piece that was cut literally crumbled. Which is disappointing because Stiemar’s I’ve enjoyed a couple product prior too but because it was for such a special event and so poorly done, I’m rating it a two** I wouldn’t order my personal cakes from them ever again. And because of the response I would spend my money here ever again …. No love lost I guess ;)
