Horrible 1st time experience at this location. Took in a brand new dress in its package, got it back with shards of thread, dust and lint all over it. The manger was begind rude saying its just thread. POINT BEING I DIDNT BRING MY DRESS THERE DIRTY OR WITH LINT, REMOVE IT BEFORE YOU GIVE IT BACK. BEYOND DISGUSTED WITH HOW MY CLOTHES WERE TREATED AND ALL BRAND NEW PIECES WITH TAGS ON!

My grandma and I had an amazing experience with the wonderful ladies at Stitch It. She had to get a dress altered for her grandson’s wedding, and both Yasmin and Elmira were so friendly and helpful. The dress looked flawless after their work on it! We will definitely be back:) thank you!

Came in to hem pants on sunday. The lady talked me into tapering the pants as well i shouldnt have listened because now my pants are way too tight on my calfs, i cant take long steps, or even sit and stand comfortably because she tapered my pants so tight. I would have been perfect with my pants hemmed so lady if someone comes in for something dont talk them into getting something else just so you can make more money.

Reliable, fast and efficient! They knew exactly what they are doing! The sales rep, had amazing customer service, she was super friendly and helpful! She was able to give me HONEST advice on my bridesmaid dress I needed to stitch in and knew exactly what needed to be done! Highly recommend, if it is your first time! My fiancée and i used stitch it in Markville mall for our engagement photo shoot and also for other special occasions, it is our go to for all of our tailoring needs. Elmira is amazing and you barely have to figure out what you want alter because she knows already, very fashionable place and up to date style. My family and I have brought clothes to stitch it multiple times, and they always do a fantastic job. Not only is the quality of the work great, but they’re always very honest with you about what they can and can’t do. I brought a dress in once that didn’t sit quite right on my one shoulder. They determined that they really couldn’t fix it without making the dress lob-sided. I really appreciated the honesty, because they could have easily tried to fix it and charged me. Overall, 10/10 recommend stitch it, Elmira and Yasmin are amazing!

Decided to come here after seeing all the 5 star reviews and get my favorite dress pants hemmed and slimmed down. While the tailor did an acceptable job, it was quite pricey and the customer service was lacking. I would expect my pants to be ironed and folded neatly but they were given to me in a wrinkled state. They mispelled my last name, were late on getting it done at the promised time and only accepted payment before the alterations. Overall a very impersonal experience and I should've known mall services are overpriced so I won't be coming back here. I suggest anyone reading this to go to the tailor in the TD bank plaza southeast corner Hwy 7 across the street. The guy there is attentive and does a more thorough job for $10-$20 cheaper and it's never as busy. They have a bell for you to ring them up unlike here where you have to awkwardly stand waiting for someone to come out.

I guess it's very hard NOT to fall in love with Elmira, she is a beauty and the way she assures us and takes care of the customer is commendable. I would come back here for all my alteration needs.and only if Elmira is taking care of us! Thank you Elmira.

Came here for the first time to get my shorts and two shirts altered and I’m happy with the results.

Just went to try and alter a dress and was extremely disappointed with the service. Before I even tried on the dress, I showed the associate my dress and asked her how much it would cost to shorten it. She held it in her hand and looked and it and told me $35-40. We verbally agreed on $35 and I went to try it on. When it came to payment, another employee (perhaps the manager) cashed me out and quoted me $86. I told her that her associate told me it would only be $35. She did not believe me so I insisted she go to the back room and ask the associate herself. When she came back, she said her coworker made a mistake because she did not see the liner. I told her I would not pay $86 because that was not the price that was agreed upon 5 minutes prior. I was very disappointed that they did not honour the price regardless of her employee making a mistake. Ensure you double check how much your alteration will cost before agreeing to do it with this establishment.

They are absolutely fantastic here! I have used their alteration services over a dozen times for formal wear, blouses, jeans, dress pants, jackets - and every time they do a perfect job and are on time with their pick up times and the text message notifications are convenient. The service is professional and friendly:)
As a short person with varying sizes for things I have to get 75% of my wardrobe altered and I always come here!

There was an incident at the restaurant. My new wool coat, white sweater and top had patches of grease stains in the back, I was so upset and did not think it could be removed. I brought it to Elmira, she was friendly and so helpful! Amazingly, all the stains come off, I will definitely come back again and recommend to my friends.

My go to place for altercation of my work uniform, the store manager Elmira is an absolute delight to work with. They promise a date of collection and it is always on time, if they have any questions they will call you before the proceed to do any altercations! Will totally recommend

I was here to get some last second tailoring done, Elmira and Homeyra were very understanding and patient, they tailored my suit sleeve, pant waist and repaired a hole in my shirt within hours. Definitely recommend for quality customer service, the work that was done were great as well.

I brought in my Eddie Bauer wind breaker packable jacket, the outside chest pocket zipper needed replacing, I specifically told them that the zipper required is the two sided style, since it is packable. The girl behind the counter told me they do not have a zipper the same size that I showed them (I left the original zipper in one of the side pockets and was not there upon pickup) but they will go to fabricland to get one.if they are unable to do so, they will call me to confirm what I want done. I received no call, and when I picked up, I saw the chest pocket zipper was fixed (hence the 2 star review) but with a small cheap looking one sided zipper. When I asked a different lady at the time of pickup, she said she wasn't there when I initially brought my jacket in and there was no note left of the 2 sided zipper request. Telling a customer one thing and doing another is extremely poor customer service, in my opinion I should get some sort of a refund.even a partial one!

UPDATE:
I was contacted by Eli and she was extremely apologetic for what had happened. Eli was a great pleasure to deal with, on resolving my previous issues, she ensured there was constant communication and followed through to the end. I now have my jacket and I am highly elated to see a much more sturdy two-sided zipper. With this quick action and excellent customer service, I have gladly changed my review from a 2 star to a 5 star! The high level of customer service from Eli was greatly appreciated. I would also like to thank Yasmine for ensuring my pick up was easy and pleasant. When in the area, I will not hesitate to stop by and get any work done on my clothing.

They should have done some before/after comparison. There was a hole ripped by an angle on the right sleeve of my leather jacket. It was there for about three years and I finally decide to get it fixed. I thought it would leave some patches or marks or lines. But after it was repaired, I could not even find a smallest mark or trace that the hole ever existed.

Besides their professional skills, their warm welcomes and patient illustrations makes the experience feels even better.

Homeyra really did incredible work on my dress. Her professionalism and expert advice really assured me that bringing my dress for a complete transformation was worth it!
I don’t the girls name who worked with her but her enthusiasm and positive attitude was also appreciated. I’ll be back and thank you.

Poor service and short staff. The lady working in the store on July 14th, 2021 was stressed out and was rude to me and the lady who was there to pick up her stuff (4 items but 1 of the item was missing and customer found it on the floor). This is 2021.unacceptable!

I have been using Stitch It Clothing Alterations for many years. Staff is always friendly and very helpful. Always an excellent job with any piece of clothing I have ever given them. Highly recommend this alteration place!

One of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had the displeasure of enduring. More than once I was told that my alterations were finished through their notification system, only to attend the store and find that this was untrue. The jobs were half done. They then had to be rushed. The first time this happened, I had to wait around longer than they even said it would take. When I tried to have a conversation about them making things right with some kind of discount, one of the employees thought it wise to attempt to insult my intelligence by trying to pass off a discount which I had already earned through their points program as a special “make things right” discount. Gee, thanks. The second time they messed up, they ultimately did the alterations for free, but only after I called their head office while standing outside the store, and the employee who had to implement it still did so grudgingly and in a way which made me feel like she was trying to see if she could get away with not doing it. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me, I suppose. I shouldn’t have gone back a second time. Everyone else should not go there the first time until they really get their act together.

Their dryer cleaner scratched my MS jacket logo, and they tried to repaint it (took them 3 weeks), which made it look worst.

If you have an emergency, visit them. You can also get alterations done while you shop at Markville mall. Friendly staff!

I have a pair of curtains that need shortening. I downloaded the pdf file from their site, which explains how to measure the curtains. I still wasn't sure how, so I went to the store for some information, on Saturday afternoon.
I explained what I needed, and I asked the lady who was working whether I need to measure the length of both sides of both panels, or just one side: on far left and far right side only (when you put the curtains up). She was looking at me like I was a lunatic (and I even had a paper with me, so I drew exactly what I wanted to ask, with more details then I wrote here). She didn't want to answer the question, and she was rude. She told me like "why do you measure the sides of the curtains, you measure the length! And her tone of voice was not nice. I said, I know, and repeated the question again. She just went berserk, and grabbed the end of the curtain that was hanged in the store, and said "you take this, and you measure it, what's the problem with that!? " And on it went, until I just said thank you, and left. She didn't even tell me the price when I asked.
I don't know what was wrong with her, I mean English is not her first language, neither is mine, but that does not justify her attitude!
I am not coming back to this store ever again. Whoever is the owner/manager, you need to reexamine this worker's attitude, ASAP.
