Stitch It Clothing Alterations & Dry Cleaning

Good experience. Came in to get my pants stitched. Got them fitted on site (there’s a dressing room) price was decent. I was able to schedule them and pick them up the next day. The stitching was well done. Will be visiting in the near future!

I came in for a minor repair of a loose pants cuff and they did it on the spot and under 5 minutes. The service was exceptional.

Recently got all of my clothes altered and i’m very happy with the results. Special thanks to Farah for the kind service. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. I recommend this store for any alterations you need if you have expensive fabrics you want handled with special care!

My jacket had a rip on the shoulder and I took it to this location. I had Bernadeta to advise and provide options. She is awesome and my jacket looks amazing after the patch stitch. Definitely recommend this place especially if it’s Bernadeta who is helping.

Disgusting service! NEVER use this chain. THEY LOST MY DRESS! I dropped off a very expensive wedding dress. When I came to pick up the dress they lost it! The workers had no idea where it was and had no solution for me. The day of my event they didn't have the dress. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY

The sewing quality at Stitch It Erin Mills is superb! These ladies know how to sew. I brought in two pair of linen pants to be shortened to Capri's, they had a cuffed hem. They look so professional, like I bought them this way. I had brought two pair to my local dry cleaners to have the lady there hem them and she did not have the skills to cuff them, so she did a plain hem and tried to taper them and the stitching was pulling. Linen is difficult to sew properly if you don't know what you are doing. She ruined them so I had to buy two more pair and brought them to Stitch It who did a very professional job. Stitch it is expensive, $68 for my two linen pants and a pair of track pants for my son, but they get the job done right the first time and quickly! I highly recommend them.

I went to have the back of a prom dress altered. (We could not afford the hemming we needed as the 2 jobs would have been almost $200). We were very clear about how we wanted the back to be fixed and showed the seamstress how we didn’t like how the the ribbons stuck out at the bottom. We paid almost $90 to have a bit of lacing taken out of the bottom back of a dress and replaced with a swatch of fabric taken from the back of the dress. When we picked the dress up the fabric from the back of the dress was cut to reveal the back but nothing was done to the lacing (it still stuck out like a duck tail). We questioned this and were told that we hadn’t asked for the lace to be changed (our whole reason for the alteration). So $90 for cutting a 4x5” piece of fabric and finishing one edge. We are not happy.

I went in to have my wedding dress straps taken in at the sides. I came home and tried the dress on and they were still sticking out just as much as before. They either didn't do any work to it or didn't know what they were doing just took my money. Never going back there again.

Liked the service and friendly staff. The person was very honest with me and would tell me if something was even worth altering or not losing out on my business so that I can get honest advice.

So I own a cream coloured cotton trench coat with a gathered waistline. It’s a beautiful coat, looks great, and breathes. No one makes plus size coats in cotton anymore and the material around the pockets was so worn that the coat ripped on both sides. I was broken hearted because I seriously thought it was going to be garbage; I know enough about sewing to know that the material was just so old and thin that you couldn’t stitch it together anymore. You’d have to open the lining of the coat and put a patch on the inside to save it, and I knew even if I managed to do it it would be hours of work and look terrible. So I thought I’d try Stitch It and see what they could do. I get all my alterations done here and I’ve never had a problem with this location. They always do a great job and are kind and professional, as well as very skilled. I figured they could do a better job than I.

She told me they could do it, but that it wouldn’t look pretty, and I knew she was correct because I understood what had to be done. But when my husband picked it up I was utterly gobsmacked. It was a flawless job. You could barely see where the patch was, and they cleverly used the natural gathering and folds of the fabric to place the single seam needed on the outside to correct the problem. Really well thought out, excellent, detailed, precision work. I was so pleased I called to tell them immediately. They’ve always done an excellent job but this for me was gold. Thank you for saving my favourite coat!

I've stopped by 2 times and the business is closed when it is suppose to be open. Today at 11: 40 waiting till 11: 50 never opened thought person may have had to step out but closed

I initially chose this place for alterations because it's a 3 minutes drive. Fortunately, the shop also does alterations well. The staff are very friendly and skilled. I have never had a problem with anything I have taken there. They are highly efficient; you can get your alterations done anywhere from the same day to the next day depending on how busy it is.
