Stitch It Clothing Alterations & Dry Cleaning

I was in town for only a few days and needed some pants hemmed. I saw a sign that said you can get alterations done while you shop. I was flying out the next day so I thought I may drop off my pants to get them fixed. I was surprised when the lady told me to come back next week. I told her I needed them as soon as possible I was leaving in a day. She told me to come back the next day at 4 PM. That was cutting it very close as I was flying out late that night. Nevertheless, I made an effort to get out of my way to come back to pick them up only to find out they have not even been touched. I was pretty angry and demanded her to refund me. She wanted me to sit down and she would do it in 10 minutes. I refused to have a quick 10 minute job done on my pants and told her I’ll go somewhere else. Worse off, she could not even issue me a refund. She was fiddling around with the machine for almost 20 minutes not knowing what to do. I will never set foot at this place. Terrible customer service, and absolutely unacceptable.

The ladies here are wonderful. Needed a suit altered and they did an excellent job and fairly quickly. The ladies there are always cracking jokes and really provide a personal touch

Great Customer Service and great dealing with customer. My first impression was great and really helpful. Prices are firm and pickup on time. Manager is really great and associates I was dealing with. For sure recommend this place to others.

Had an amazing time here. Came last minute to get a dress fixed, and they had it ready for me within 2 hours, and that too at a very reasonable price! Nikki is simply amazing and very precise with the work she does.

The lady expertly repaired a hole in my cardigan. She was very knowledgeable with linen while other places i took it to wanted to patch it, she was able to weave it closed so it is barely noticeable and was very reasonably priced. The service was very friendly and approachable. Definitely recommend bringing clothes in need of repair here.

I brought in a dress that needed some urgent stitching at 7PM, 1h before close. I needed the dress for the next morning. Nikki took it in and immediately starting working on it. The dress was ready 45 minutes later and the service I received from her was incredible. She performed nothing short of a miracle on the dress!

The people there are very professional. Their service was amazing. Whatever has been instructed was fulfilled. I would definitely recommend them and would go back.

Cut the bottom for two of my jeans. The way they cut them - they make bottoms look so obvious that they were cut. Even for simple alterations like this, I suggest not using this place.

Stitch It adjusted my Aritzia pants impeccably and at an affordable price. On another occasion, they also fixed my vintage trench coat and offered to do it within 30 minutes while I was shopping. Top notch service at a fair price. 10/10 recommend!

Kay (employee #277) at Rideau Centre Stich-It is wonderful. She works her butt off, is dependable, so nice, and very accommodating with completing alterations by required dates. She is my go-to for alterations. Kay is an asset to the Stitch-It company. I will continue to give my business to Stitch-It as long as she continues to work there.

I had a super last minute order that required a lot of alterations, the staff here managed to get it all done on time, they were even early! Big time life savers.

The worst service I have ever experienced. I spent over $100 altering pants and a skirt. The skirt completely ripped after the FIRST time I had worn it. When I brought it back to have it fixed the told me it had been too long and I would have to pay again to have it fixed. No way am I paying them again to do a terrible job. Now I have to find somewhere else.

They don't at all help you with prices or anything. If you want to get something tailored do not go here. They are also wayyyy too pricey.

I brought in my bridesmaids dress to be altered over two weeks ago. Pick up time stated 5pm, I arrived at 515pm to see the seamstress working on my dress. She stated "30 more minutes", despite my dress being at the shop for over 2 weeks. I returned 40 minutes later to see my dress rumpled up in a ball on the table and the seamstress attending another customer. Once she completed the customers transaction she gave me my dress and told me to put it on. The dress had pins in it still and was visibly not finished. It is now over 1 hour past the time of scheduled pick up. I try the dress on, it's OK. Seamstress then continued to argue with me stating I don't need to get the dress hemmed despite having more than a foot of fabric touch the floor with heels on. She kept stating "bridesmaids dresses touch the floor this is the style". I've paid over $100 for these alterations and if I want my dress to be hemmed then that's my decision. I don't want someone to give me their opinion especially when it's given the benefit herself as she appeared to be frantic. Once she agreed to hem my dress, she said come back in another hour. This is 2.5 hours longer than told and at that point, I was not impressed. I exited the change room and tried to reason with the seamstress stating that I've waited over 2 hours for a simple "pick up and go" and was wondering if the hemming was an extra charge. She said $51.50. On top of the $100 I've already spent. Not at all impressed with the service I received at this location. I will not be bringing my business back there. I took the dress, unhemmed, and left.
