Stockyards Medical 2.4 review is no joke! Disappointed by the Medical Center's responsiveness and reception service. Lab results were not being addressed promptly, taking a slack 3 weeks for an available follow-up with a nurse practitioner. The reception's dismissive response when I sought a quicker appointment was shocking. The very rude receptionist said, ” Well, I won’t be cancelling anyone's appointment just so you can get an appointment sooner! ” This experience highlights a critical need for the management to revamp their customer service. Meanwhile, I've found a doctor where I’ve received more efficient care, with two appointments and two ultrasounds in the same timeframe I would have waited with this ineffective group. Immediate action is needed to improve patient care at Stockyards Medical.
I came here as a walk-in, and didn't have to wait long. The nurse (I didn't get his name) who took my blood pressure was very welcoming, and Dr. Zajac was great to speak with - no complaints from me.

I’ll echo the rest of the reviews here and say that this clinic is unprofessional and disappointing. I had an appointment at 8am, the first of the day. The front desk staff showed up late and didn’t greet me, just told me to sit down without looking at me. I asked if the doctor was in yet and she said no (this was at 8: 15). During the wait I read the reviews here, realized what I was in for, and left.
Never ever answer's their phone. I've left 6 messages in a week once and they never got back to me. If you're lucky enough to speak with the secretaries, some are very nice, but cover up for other's and the Drs mistakes and lies, which happen very frequently. They have way too many client's to handle and it shows greatly. From my experiences, the doctors are just in it for the money. This all coming from a former patient of 4 years
The girl at the front desk (younger Asian with highlights and glasses) was rude and didn't provide me with the correct information thus wasting my time. She basically just shrugged and said we said get here before 4. To anyone that has.never been here, you would assume it just means there are appointments after not the doctor is gone and our walk-in hours are until 4. I asked her to clarify that information to people on the phone so they are informed and again she rolled her eyes and shrugged.
Called to book an appointment and was booked for 11: 30 the following day. Good. Went to my appointment and since I was 10 minutes late I was asked to wait till 2pm. I belive they never really booked me, forgot about me because they let people that came after me go in. Waited 3 hours because I was late 10 minutes. Petty.
Avoid this place if you can. The wait time is 2hrs even without patients at the location. Lasy workers and they don’t care about walk-ins. They jus tell you sit and wait forever - total disgrace
Terrible clinic. Dr. Swaran Kaur Syan has been suspended and reprimanded 3 times by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, most recently at the end of 2022. Dr. Solademi insists you come in person for prescription refills (he makes more money that way), and will not make eye contact with you or warn you of interactions between multiple medications. He is completely uninterested in your care. The administration are impossible to deal with, make you fill out forms repeatedly, and take forever to schedule appointments. Avoid this clinic at all costs.
My wife had a refill due for her Thyroid, she started reaching out for appointment via phone and email 1 and a half month before, till date no response. This is usual practice, even if they book a Phone Appointment, they will never call back. Doctors and receptionist are not at all in sync, and obviously none of them bother to even listen to your concern
The medical center was very easy to find and had plenty of parking available. That made my visit stress-free and convenient. The staff at this medical center were all very personable and friendly. They made me feel like a valued patient rather than just a number!
It would be helpful if the signage at the office took down the “walk-in” portion of the sign and that the staff do not respond rudely when someone walks after reading the signage. Not everyone reads the website if they frequent the mall and believes the sign. It also says “walk-in” in the pictures shown.
The atmosphere at this medical center was very calming and peaceful. It made me feel at ease during my visit. The wait time at this medical center was minimal. I was able to get in and out quickly without feeling rushed!
Reaching out here as a last-ditch effort to get in touch with the clinic! Only reason this isn't 1 star is my doctor is incredible and my issue isn't with the care I receive from the medical team. But getting in touch is impossible. I am running out of meds and need a renewal in addition to having an acute (non-emergency) injury that needs to be looked at. It's been a week now with no reply to voicemail, email, or messenger.
Stay far away! I am a patient at this doctor’s office and I have literally nothing but negative things to say. 1st of all of you try to book an in person appointment, expect to wait at least 2-4 weeks. They will then offer you a phone appointment with a “2 hour window”… it will likely be over 4 hours. I have sometimes even had the doctor miss my appointment entirely and then call me the next day. My doctor also scolded me the last time for not booking an in person appointment, when I replied that they never have in person appointments, she told me to plan more in advance and to be more organized. I asked the office to send in a referral form for mental health support, they told me they did and then they month later emailed me asking if I wanted them to still send the forms. According to the staff it is ALWAYS the patient’s fault, and no one take’s any accountability for anything. I suggest you stay far away from this facility and its staff. Horrible Horrible doctors office.
Please educate yourself on their doctors before booking an appointment - one doctor has faced multiple suspensions and disciplinary hearings from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
My husband and I left our previous doctor of 20+years, and have been the patient at The Stockyards Clinic since it's inception. We have only satisfying experiences with all the interactions with both the front desk receptionists and our doctor Irene Li, who has been extremely professional and knowledgeable. She listens to our concerns and takes times to exam and explain the findings and provide recommendations and referrals. Greatly appreciate their due diligence on providing the necessary cares and the needed attentions. I would highly recommend the clinic/doctor Li to anyone who are looking for a family doctor.
I had an appointment scheduled on the phone with Dr. Syan at 12: 15 PM today. I had rearranged my work schedule to accommodate this appointment, and it is now 4: 15 PM, no call, no apology, or update for this no-show. I had called the office multiple times, and the receptionist has yet to pick-up the phone. Incredibly unprofessional service, especially considering this is a medical office. They not only wasted my time (during work hours), but I still have a health concern that is unresolved and unaccounted for. If I could give anyone advice, avoid this clinic at all costs.
All my previous appointments with Dr. Syan have been late and incredibly brief. Clearly a transactional clinic, with no concern for their clients, professionalism, services or healthcare. If you cannot run a business, simply do not have a business!
Direct referral by Health Care Connect, was not given the doctor I was assigned. Spent hours filling in all their forms and giving them all the information possible. The doctor acted like I never gave any info whatsoever, expected me to self diagnose my symptoms, wanted to send me only for cancer screening standard tests NONE OF WHICH RELATED TO MY ISSUES, to waste my time and knowing I have limited mobility and time restraints to fill in medical documents that my sole income in dependent upon. On the phone intake with the doctor he spent more time telling me about how I can no longer go to any other clinic once registered here and how they are a family care clinic and will take care of all my health needs. In person it was nothing like that. The doctor was so out of touch he thought I needed a tetanus shot for one of my injuries when there was no skin puncturing. He did not comprehend the forms that I needed filled out and dismissed the documents in the package as useless when they were part of the package sent to me to give to the doctor. SO OUT OF TOUCH. He openly admitted he was not an expert in my issues yet they would not switch me to a doctor that was better suited or to the doctor I was assigned. They just kicked me out of the clinic! They wasted so much of my time, and now have helped set me up to suffer more because I have no way to make my deadline now, because I trusted they would provide care to me. My symptoms have all flared up and I am in severe discomfort and pain from the stress of interacting with this clinic and their staff and my looming deadline to have a doctor fill in paperwork for me. I told them I am going to kill myself because if I become homeless I would rather die. They said we do not care, we removed you as a patient. This is the kind of health care you receive if you are poor. No one cares. ADD: the clinic took time to somehow have my review removed, probably more time than they spent offering me care. If you do not want poor reviews then simply treat people like valuable human beings and offer great service and care.
My experience with Dr. Polinkevych is that he was very arrogant, standoff-ish and dismissive. If you need something simple then he's probably ok but if you have anything complex he's going to tell you it's all in your head and talk about treatment that is inappropriate. Says if you don't like it then go somewhere else. Do not recommend.
I had an appointment today at 10: 00am they put me in a room until 10: 45am then they came I said that the doctor never arrived I had to reschedule my appointment that's unexpectable
I changed from my family Dr to this clinic thinking they were good. Let me tell you they don't give a damm about their patients I had 2 surgeries this year already were they found cancer cells told my Dr she said she had no record of if since April until this week they didn't bother in following up with the surgeon or get my records. I went there this week because i had surgery 3 weeks ago it's not being easy but the hospital doesn't call back and my Dr Can't help me cause she has no records yet.ow plus every day is a different receptionist I can't seem to get it right apparently me the patient. So don't bother going there find a better clinic.
New & clean facility, receptionists are friendly enough, doctors are amazing. I did wait over an hour past my scheduled appointment time to see the doctor, however, I'm convinced it was because the doctors were taking their time providing thorough care for their patients.
Not sure if it's my doctor or the receptionist but I have never been able to get my prescriptions without issues. I'm constantly getting my medication late which, especially for the medication i'm on, is not okay whatsoever. They only seem to take action when I resort to yelling and cussing at them. Avoid for your own good.
First time experience with this walk-in medical clinic. I called ahead of time to see if any walk-in is available today. They tell me to come in and they will try to squeeze in between booked appointments to be seen as long as I am ok with waiting. I was turned around when I got there because I didn’t have an appointment. Oh well.
No professionalism from receptionist or doctors. Changed my medicine from what my retired doctor previously gave. Now the doctor hides and does not want to talk.
The receptionists are very rude and seem like they don't take their job seriously. I spoke to Dr. Syan one day who then told me to come in the next to get checked and when I called back to make sure that my appointment was booked, it wasn't and turns out that Dr. Syan wasn't even there! Good thing I called ahead of time. The secretary even forgot to send my requisition, I had to call and remind them. Pathetic.
PROS: Clinic is new, nice and clean. It is also a full service clinic providing lab work, xrays, pharmacy, etc all in one place which is super convenient. Dr. Irene Li is fantastic, super sweet and attentive; she doesn't make you feel rushed and seems to genuinely care. CON: I took one star off because there is 1 major issue with this clinic and that is actually getting through to someone. Everytime I have needed to make an appointment or call in for something, it takes nearly all day and several attempts before someone actually ever answers the phone which is both frustrating and inconvenient. This has been an issue everytime I have called. On one occasion I really needed to see a walkin doctor; I tried getting through on the phone for over 2 hours and called multiple times until I finally gave up and just went in. I was then given an appointment when I arrived in person to see a walkin doctor but only for several hours later meaning I had to leave and come back again. Overall, I would highly recommend this clinic with the adjustment of perhaps hiring additional front end staff to actually answer patient calls.
Great experience with Stockyards Medical staff and Dr. Allison Rosen. Easy booking experience, the staff is very friendly, appointments are always on time, Dr. Allison Rosen is very kind and knowledgable.
Highly unprofessional doctor and staff. Better to stay away from this clinic. The doctor consider only one health problem for one appointment. For multiple health issues, multiple appointments. They are just money minded.
Horrific experience all the way from receptionists to Dr. Syan. Dr.had zero education in regards to prenatal care/ultrasounds. Gave me wrong information numerous times, had zero bedside manners, never followed up with bloodwork results. Receptionists were unprofessional and disorganized, they sent either the wrong requisitions/reports or didn't even send them at all. When confronted the receptionist and Dr.blamed their mistakes on everyone around and couldn't of cared less about my experiences with them.
I'm new to this clinic and so far I have had a good experience with the doctor I have, however as some people have mentioned, one of the receptionists is extremely rude and lacks care & customer service skills. I called to ask a question before booking an appointment the other day and I was treated like an annoyance & then hung up on immediately. Super unprofessional!
The receptionist staffs here are unprofessional, you can see other reviews that said the same thing. It takes them over 5 business days to reply 1 email. It seems like this clinic doesn't care much about their patients. If you are looking for more professional care, please go to another clinic for your own good.
Nice people. However, they have very disorganized secretaries. I had personally witnessed her cancel a patient's appointment by accident and didn't apologize. The boss even came out to reprimand her and question her as why she did that. Dr Irene is nice but she refuses to provide you with any simple.medication that any walk-in doctor would provide such as cough syrup, even after I had told her the name of the medication i normally take, When I told her my nose was stuffed, she told me to get a humidifier. She also referred me over to someone else instead of having to see me in person for a skin problem which I had found out later from.another walk in clinic that it was just fungus and that clinic provided me with a medicated cream. If you are looking for a highly skilled doctor who isn't afraid of prescribing you medication go somewhere else. If you are looking for a naturopathy doctor then she is the right one for you.
Great Clinic, Friendly staff and convenient location.there are many doctors working there already! Having Dentist, Xray, Physio, Pharmacy and clinic under one roof is amazing!
While the doctors are AMAZING; their receptionist staff not so much. They tend to have poor communication skills and are extremely rude. As a new patient at this clinic my experience with them hasn't been the greatest to say the least. Their lack of professionalism is distasteful. I've been hung up on multiple when asking how to go about a issue. If you ask for names or a manager, you get hung up on. Granted they are recently open we don't expect it to be perfect, but at least an 8.
