Stonebridge Golf Club

My first time playing this course since the change in layout.
They ruined it. 6 par 3s now, most of them just over 100 yards. The nice long par 5s are gone. While the course was in excellent shape as always, it is no longer worth the $78 taxes in green fee. Sorry.

Played the full 18 yesterday for the first time. Not a huge fan of the new layout - but I guess money talks so they needed to add more housing (houses along the 6th will either get a ton of balls in their backyards.or broken windows).
Re: GPS - I played the temp 9 last year on it's opening week. The Marshal said they'd have their GPS ready the following week. I played it ~3-4x the rest of that year and they kept saying the same thing each time. It's been a full year now - get the GPS going!
Course was in pristine condition, but $95 is pretty steep considering.

Course is in superb condition, great Men’s League, friendly staff.
Although not of championship length, Stonebridge has everything for the average amateur. The course is in excellent condition. There is trouble left and trouble right on 11 of 18 holes (many water holes) and most holes are very visually appealing. The club has a vibrant and fun Men’s League with 80+ participating each week.

I enjoyed the patio and the food was excellent. Hats off to the chef who prepared a tasty burger. Children enjoyed Chicken and fries. A hidden gem.

Kinda sad that they dug up some holes (9th?), to put up more houses. I hope it returns to at least a part 70. The great news is they have the best simulators in the city. Great fries and cold Goose Island BUT they definitely have to do something with the washroom. Smell is awful (likely from not running any water and odour coming up from the sewer)

We booked 1 sim for 4 people, it costed about $200 +.
Service was fast and friendly.

We don't golf but the grounds are lovely and they have really tasty fish tacos and fish and chips at the restaurant. We eat there regularly.

One of my favourites in Ottawa. It is pricey, but easily one of the best layouts you'll find in the area, and always impeccably maintained.

Good greens, fairways well taken care of, beverage cart and a good hut between nines makes this a great option for Ottawa golfers.

Do yourself a favor and PLAY THIS COURSE! Excellent conditions, challenging layout but not so challenging that you want to pull your hair out, top notch friendly staff. Very good price point for the golf you're getting. Extremely repeatable experience!

Decent track, no range. Run by kids in the shop and gruppy olde men as marshals. Club house completley closed expect for pro shop. Play it once a year, that's it. There are better choices

Golf course is great.their policy on covid is poor.show up a man short due to someone feeling ill and you have to pay for the 4th anyways.encouraging a potentially ill person to still show up is despicable in these times
