I cannot comment on service but I can say that Orlando seems to know more about the various quartz companies than anyone else I spoke to in Ottawa. For example, he told me that some Hanstone colours are made overseas. Every other quartz place in Ottawa told me they were made in Canada. Hanstone themselves confirmed that their Calacatta Extra is part of their import collection (displayed right on their website - so kudos for their transparency) and is made in Vietnam. I have not chosen a company yet but Orlando definitely knows his quartz and stone.

I recently had the pleasure of working with StoneSense for the installation of Quartz countertops in my kitchen, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results! From start to finish, the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional.

Right from the initial consultation, I knew I was in good hands. "Super" Carl, the project lead, displayed an impressive level of knowledge and expertise. He carefully assessed my kitchen's layout and requirements, providing insightful suggestions and recommendations that greatly contributed to the final outcome. His attention to detail and commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction were evident throughout the project.

Sara, who handled the business side of things, played a crucial role in managing expectations and ensuring smooth coordination. Her exceptional organizational skills and dedication to keeping everything on schedule were truly remarkable. I was impressed by her prompt communication and transparent approach, as she consistently kept me informed of the project's progress and any necessary adjustments.

The entire team at StoneSense was outstanding. They were not only skilled professionals but also exhibited a high level of professionalism throughout the installation process. They worked diligently, efficiently, and with great precision, ensuring that every aspect of the project was executed flawlessly. The attention they paid to even the smallest details was remarkable and truly showcased their commitment to delivering top-notch quality.

The final outcome surpassed my expectations. The Quartz countertops installed by Stone Sense transformed my kitchen into a breathtaking space. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are truly remarkable. Every edge was flawlessly cut, and the seams were practically invisible. The high-quality materials used by Stone Sense not only look stunning but also feel durable and long-lasting.

Non-existent service. Bad management. They don't answer the phone and when they do they just say they will call you back. That is their answer for everything. Product took forever to get here and was promised sooner. Called a ton of times to find out when installation was going to take place and of course they no show on the date of installation. Called back and was told my installation date was the following day. Installer gets here and rushes the entire install and of course the measurements are wrong. A large gap (nearly half inch) is left on the side and he tells me to caulk it. What a joke. Currently going back and forth with nothing in place yet. They said they would call me back. Go figure.

I would highly recommend staying clear of this company! We had nothing but problems after choosing our quartz countertops for kitchen and bathroom remodels and giving a deposit. Poor communication from the entire team including Orlando the owner, delivery times were continually pushed back for weeks and the countertop we put a deposit on, they didn’t actually have. Save yourself the headaches and hassle we endured and go somewhere else!

We had our kitchen counters, coffee bar and stone backsplash done by stonesense. Kim was extremely helpful, prompt replies and attention to detail. She was able to explain the process thoroughly and there were no surprises.
Our materials and install were super quick and done with care by the excellent install team.

From start to finish STONESENSE did a fabulous job! We did a full kitchen Reno from cupboards to counters to sinks, include bathroom vanities in all our bathrooms. The quality, and selection is incredible. It’s your one stop shop for any type of Kitchen or bathroom Reno you are doing!

The staff is a pleasure to deal with and helpful. We are very happy that we chose STONESENSE! Orlando went above and beyond to get us our kitchen installed in a timely manner and his installers, Carl and Bruno did a meticulous job all while following strict covid protocols. They educated me on how to properly care for my new quartz counters as well. Whenever I had an issue that needed to be dealt with immediately, Wassim was always there, friendly and courteous.

We would recommend STONESENSE!

From the second i made the deposit i had problems. I picked a piece of stone from their selection thinking why make the guy buy a new piece i had selected from the fabricators when he had one that looked the same, mistake #1, it had a stain on it that i was assurred would be cleaned before they installed, the first piece of stone they brought into my home had that stain! They came 4 times to complete the install first time they laid a extremely dirty runner that did not reach all the rooms and tracked crab apples all over my carpets, second time they did not put anything down, 3rd and 4th I laid down a runner. There were a number of fissures in the stone that i had understood could develop in natural stone, i just did not expect it to be installed that way, some appeared to be large enough to be considered cracks, i insisted they fix these. They did a fix but they dripped epoxy glue on my kitchen and wood flooring. I ordered the sinks and faucets from them thinking i would not have any install problems that way, well the faucets were not avaible till the day after the countertops, they were the wrong style faucets and even the wrong colour but i had not had a sink in my home for a week so at this point so i let my plumber install them. I have NEVER BEEN SO DISAPPOINTED in work. The owner could not have cared less. I did get a distcount, but it really only amounted to the exsorbanent price to remove and dispose of the old countertops.i am going to have to get another comoany in to fix the fissures correctly as i would never allow this company near my home again!

I wish I had looked at the reviews of this business before wasting my time the past few weeks. I went to their storeroom (before the shutdown) and picked out a remnant to be cut. I sent the exact measurements in a sketch by email a few days later as instructed by Orlando, and expected to hear back with any kind of confirmation. After 6 phone calls, two of which I spoke to two different female representatives, I finally called back one more time and was patched through to Orlando, who claimed not to receive any messages from his female colleagues. He had seen the email but failed to reply. He asked me to send yet another email and assured he would cut it that week. It was a pretty straight forward transaction made complicated by disorganized, and rude, workers. After several more emails to Orlando, we gave up and went to Granite Depot, who called back within the hour and got to working on the cut. Highly recommend going there instead!

ONE OF THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! Orlando does NOT care about his customers satisfaction, had to be rubbed off 3-4 times for a tiny piece of stone with a different excuse every time, and then when out of frustration i said i didn't want it anymore, he did not care at all. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Initial interaction with Stonesense was really positive. Met with Byron, he helped me pick a counter that worked for me and my kitchen, showed me slabs, and was really great all around in getting the sale. As soon as I put my down payment though, it all went downhill.

I told Byron that the kitchen was ready to be measured, he indicated he could have someone out right away, and should have it installed within 2 weeks. I paid November 11th, and didn't have the measurements done until November 18th. I had to call every single day, both to Byron and to the office to get the guy to even come and measure. It wasn't until I threatened to come back for my deposit. Once I did that, I had a call within an hour telling me the measurement guy would be there that day to do it. I was then told by the measurement guy that he would send the measurements to Stonesense, and they would send me the plan. A few days later, I got a call saying install date would be December 2nd, outside of the 2 week window I was originally told. I then waited expecting a plan for what the cut would look like, where would the seam go for my island, etc. Nothing, so I went back to the store the day before install to get the plans and make sure it was how I wanted it (and originally indicated). Thankfully, it was, but I wasn't given any info (not even a time for when the install was taking place!) until I went in person. Spoke to Orlando, who basically placed all the blame on Byron that he should have sent the measurement guy out sooner if the kitchen was ready, and he had no idea, if it was him it would have been done differently. It was basically a 15 minute rant on Byron.

The only reason they get a 2 star review, instead of a 2 star review, is because the cuts turned out amazing, and the installers did a really amazing job. He knew his stuff and made sure to have the counter perfectly installed.

I would not recommend this place, unless you're willing to constantly hound them (and even then, doesn't guarantee anything!)

I had an awful experience with this company. I recommend going somewhere else that will not cause you a headache. I needed to chase down Orlando for months to the point where I went back to the shop to demand a time for the measurements to be done. He couldn't even give me a specific time of day, just which day they were coming. After the measuring, I needed to call basically every day trying to get a hold of Orlando. He would even claim that he either never saw that I called, didn't get my messages or that he had been calling me. I finally spoke with a woman there and demanded that I have an installation date for my kitchen counter within the week. She was able to sort that out for me. As for the instalation, the team was great, however the counter they got needed more sanding and shaping when it arrived at my house. I look at that as sloppy work. I wish I would have taken my money else where. I will never recommend this place to anyone!

Bought countertops from here. After we gave Orlando our deposit, he was extremely hard to get a hold of and kept delaying our installation. He would tell us a date and a time and just not show up. We took the day off to be there for the installation and they just wouldn’t show up. Because it was such a hassle, he told us he would give us a discount and told us the new price. When his guys came to install the countertops, they told us a different price and made us call him and he said “he doesn’t remember saying that” and changed the price on us again. After the countertops were finally installed (after a very annoying and long battle) we noticed a chip in our expensive countertops the same day they were installed. We have been calling for about a month now trying to get someone to come out and fix it. He keeps telling us that he is sending someone out and the date they are coming, but again no one shows up and no one calls. He continuously says that he will call us back, but NEVER does. It has been an extremely frustrating and a terrible experience buying from Stonesense. We do not recommend shopping here and wish we knew this before purchasing from them.

Great service, amazing selection of countertops made from different stones to choose from (granite, marble, quartz, etc.) and at fair prices! Need a new countertop and some new tiles? Come to Stonesense, the best that Ottawa has to offer!

We were shopping for a quartz counter top for our bathroom. I filled out the information on the website for a quote. We got the quote back very quickly. My wife then went to look at the individual slab of quartz. She liked it and told the salesman we were interested in moving ahead with the deal. We had to call the salesman back several times to see when they were going to schedule us for a measurement. He kept saying "He would call us back", but never did. Finally we gave up on them and bought elsewhere and were very happy we did.
I would not recommend them.

Excellent selection, service and installation. I'm a bit late with our review from May 2019 but here it is. Gisele really helped make choosing our quartz stone easy and fun. Same day home measurements done and delivered quickly. Installers were awesome! Definitely a 5 star experience!

I do not recommend this business, as it is fraudulent. The company started installing our counters in January 2019. We are now August 2019,9 months later, and we are still missing a piece of counter. When they installed our counters, they realized they had mismeasured a piece. They never came back to install it even after we paid for our counters. We have visited the business and the owner on multiple occasions. We have telephoned them numerous times, and still, no counter. The owner tells us every time that it will be in on the following day or over the weekend, but he never follows through. We even went to pick up the piece ourselves a few times but it was never cut. When visiting the store, we saw a slab of our quartz, so we are sure “backorder” is not a viable explanation. I have never dealt with such a dishonest and deceitful company in my life.

No customer service whatsoever. My husband and I came in a couple months ago and were ignored, no one even acknowledged us. We decided to try again since we had a great experience a year ago with Betty. The girl working is rude and could care less if you walk in the store. Well take our business elsewhere.

Great service. Very pleased with the final outcome. I would recommend them to my friends and family.

We needed a small adjustment made on our quartz countertop. Stonesense sent two great people to move the stove and grind the edges a bit. Really friendly likeable staff and did a great job and cleaned up. Could not have been better. Will use Stoesense again anytime.
