Atmosphere is nice, thou something is missing. You can literally hear people's conversations with their table next to yours, so no real privacy or intimacy while eating with your date

Good local place for sushi. Our go to based on location. Enjoy the green dragon and dynamite rolls. Edamame and tempura for appetizers are also a favourite. Usually we take out with their simple online ordering tool, however we have eaten in on occasion for all you can eat. Both experiences have been positive.

Was there for lunch - love the place. Great fish to rice ratio in the rolls, fish tasted fresh, tempura was fantastic. Super hot, crispy and yummy. Teriyaki items are great too. My only complaint is no galbi on the lunch menu - this may contribute to the cheaper price though compared to other AYCE places. Recommended.

We often went here for years when it was still Hockey Sushi but it was our first time back since it became Story Sushi. The service was still fast and food still tasted great! Portions seem smaller but it just meant you can eat more! We liked it that way because you can try different things at the right portion. Best AYCE in thornhill! I highly recommend this restaurant, they are among one of the few with a reasonable ayce price. Definitely your money’s worth.

Pretty good, upper end of generic Thornhill Ayce sushi. Fish seemed really fresh.

I've been to this location numerous times and it seems the management has changed as well. It used to be Hockey Sushi before it was called Story sushi.

The food was mediocre. We ordered almost everything off the menu.

Staff were very polite and friendly.

The restaurant is kind of tight but is baby friendly. The washroom is downstairs and is pretty creepy.

Best sushi place for dine in / take out. This is where we went for our first date 10 years ago when it was hockey sushi. Now we go there with our kiddos ️

The cashier is so rude.you can’t talk to your customer like that…she have an attitude…lack of training on how to talk to their customer.

Nothing special quality has dropped very much with new management overpriced and service is terrible. I'll take Matsuda and even sushi 168 all day over this place.

The food didn’t taste at all. Ingredients was really bad. Waitresses were cool but no motivation at all.

Cheap food for big price

We have neen going there for years. We used to love the food there. We have the all-you-can-eat. The service is always great. The food is not as good as Hockey sushi. It is sooo expensive, it is not worth it. We stopped going there, and ordering out. Too bad.

Go to place with my friends for all you can eat. Love the sashimi Especially the squid! So good!

Service was terrible. The Hostess was rude as soon as we entered the restaurant. After a few minutes, we decided to leave.

I miss Hockey Sushi. Before it was bought out, it was great food at a great price. I went often. Now it’s poor food for a crazy high price. I now frequent other places instead.

This is horrible, nasty old stale food, , payed 90$ for a 60 pc tray most went in to the garbage.

All you can eat sushi. Great variety. Lots of veg friendly options. Very popular restaurant. Good tasting food.

This place has ok food, but is a huge rip off. I have never paid 80$ just for 2 people on a Weds to have all you can eat sushi. On top of it, they served the food in the restaurant on plastic cutlery. Paying almost 100$ for a meal on plastic is not acceptable.

Food is okay at best. But service was terrible! Their restaurant etiquettes was egregious!
A friend and I visited the place on Sunday night at 830pm. They said they close at 9pm (later found out they close at 930). I didn't want AYCE but my friend did. They told us that we should have enough time to order and eat. Around 915, the food stop coming and started to bother us about our order. Kept telling us that we would have to pay extra. Realizing that we did order alot (thinking we can only put in one order), we took some items out. Then, they started to harassing us by standing right behind our table and start talking loud Cantonese. My friend was so uncomfortable she couldn't eat. By 920, they brought the bill to pay in middle of our meal (which my friend did). By 925, they kept telling us that they are closing, few more times. We still had food left on our table, which we could have finished if we had more time. By 930, I felt discouraged to stay and finish the food, so I ask them if its okay to take it home (instead of throwing away). The waitress literally said pay $5 each/person. My friend paid 18% tip on our bill and still ask for $5 for food they were gonna throw away!
I have been to many AYCE and few times when it was less than hour to order and eat. This never ever has happened in my life til now. People should avoid this place like a plague!

I writing this review after 2 weeks and I'm still ticked off. The Story of this place is TRASH!

Dingy but the food was surprisingly good. They have a lot of menu options I haven't seen in any other all you can eat sushi places.but they're also more expensive. That's probably why.

Let me start by saying THIS IS NOT THE OLD HOCKEY SUSHI! I went here a few times years ago and the place was simply going downhill that we never went back. To my delight, we decided to give the "new" Story Sushi a try and were pleasantly delighted. The sashimi was fresh and high quality as one would expect. What really blew me away was the kitchen food. Everything was HOT and FRESHLY MADE. Even the tempura shrimp tasted like they just came out of the fryer (they seem to sit under a heat lamp at other places). The dim-sum was so hot that the server almost burned her hands on the bamboo. Even the ice cream was top quality (like actual strawberries in the strawberry ice cream and I HATE strawberry ice cream - but i liked this one). Hoping that the great food and service were not a fluke. We will be back.

Came to about $160 for a family of 4 with tax and tip, reasonable these days as other places have come to over $200 for the same thing.

The only reason for not giving it 5 star was that it was WAY TOO HOT inside.

The sushi was really good loved it but, the service was terrible it’s all you can eat and the server told us “we ordered too much, next time don’t order this much”. And we ate what we ordered, they were making faces and were so rude, and the soup we ordered was disgusting snd it smelled snd tasted really bad and she kept saying we had to pay for it
Never coming back

Nice place. Good food. Very nice and prompt service. Our family really enjoyed it yesterday on Sept 12.2021.
Once again enjoyed it on Feb 21 2022
