Strand Shawarma & Cafe: Poutine, Fish & Chips, Pizza and Desserts.

Ordered 3 Caesar salads, one large (pictured) two medium (less 60% of large).

I’m not complaining about quality of food, service was highly impersonal. But price! $40+ tax included! For a few croutons some chopped lettuce and little sprinkle of cheese? It’s unbelievable where things are headed.

It's not my very favorite shawarma taste in shawarma is personal and I like everything about this place.

Very nice people serving the food. Nice atmosphere. Very clean.
The chicken however is hard and dry. The rice is bland. Tabule also bland.

Honestly it is great food with Lots of portion to have 2 meals with veggie platters. I will say if you have any type of allergies be very very clear with it! Aas someone that has allergies and sensitivities I have gotten ignored multiple times.

Awesome fish and chips and top tier shawarma. A great place to stop for a meal or a snack. Tons of options for desert as well from donuts to cheesecakes to ice cream. A must try for anyone out and about in the Glebe

Shawarma sandwiches are just as good (if not even better) as any other place in town. Potatoes and garlic sauce are. Decently priced too.

My family went there for lunch yesterday. We ordered the fish and chips, poutine, chicken shawarma platter. Then finished off the meal with a milkshake and SuzyQ donuts! They have a great variety of food options. Everything we ordered was delicious. Loved the retro feel decor and big windows that open up as well! Would def go back!

I ordered the shawarma poutine it was to die for omg. I have also ordered a chicken shawarma the chicken was so good. I would recommend you check this place out. 10/10. Best shawarma in town.

The place is just awful, although on premium location with free private parking. Stale shawarma, tiny expensive wraps, horrible noisy fan and shaky floor outside, leaking bottle of ketchup, missing utensils, unfriendly staff — one is too many. Never come here again and would advise everybody to skip a visit there, even if you are too hungry.

Falafels were lacking flavour and the outer layer was not crunchy. Tasty & fresh pickles in the wrap though. Suzy Q’s vegan and nonvegan donuts are a plus.

I've sat in some of the most expensive restaurants in Canada, and this place is friendly and sitting on the patio I honestly can say it felt like I was at home. It's not often I can admit something like this. My sister loved the food and the atmosphere.

Overall a good experience, nice comfortable seating, food was good. I enjoyed the potatoes. Nice renovations from the old Timmy's. They also serve donuts from suzyq.

This is one of a kind unique spot which we are so happy to have discovered. We have been there three times in the last eight days and want to keep going back. The myriad of foods that they have is amazing — something for everyone from shawarma to pizza to fish n chips and poutine to the best sweet options like Suzy Q donuts, Cheesecake Factory cake slices and our fav. Kawartha icecream topped with great customer service — guaranteed to return home happy and content. We would especially like to mention Yasmeen who went out of her way to make the day extra special for us since we were celebrating a birthday in our family
Many many thanks again Yasmeen. We’re looking forward to our next visit.

I bought a small chicken shawarma wrap. It was fresh and delicious. I will be back again and perhaps hungrier

Food is less than average.
Customer service is good, the terrasse is beautiful but the food is a 2/10
