My wife and I have been going here for a few years now and Honestly Best Vet around, They make you feel like family and truly care for you and your pets well Being!

Run from this vet. Dr walia will treat your pet according to his financial needs not your pets needs.
And if you do not do what he wants you to do, he will call the humane society on you.
I took my cat there because of a cut on his cheek, who has a long history vet care. He requested al his vet records and proceeded to try to do test and exams to address all of my cats previous health issues not the emergency care my pet needed.
After refusing to do all the treatment he wanted to do ($700) he threatened to call the human society on me. He proceed to be extremely rude to the point that we were screaming because we would not do what he wanted to do. I have never been treated like this at any veterinary. I left and paid him $75 just to be threaten.

After my experience I asked the local businesses around his clinic because i was shocked of his treatment, and I was not surprised to hear that they never ever recommend that place. I had the chance to speak to a former person that took her pet there as well and I she had a similar experience with him and never went back.

Take your pet elsewhere. There are plenty of other places that will be more professional and actually do something good for your pet. And will not threaten to call the humane society on you.

I adopted a 6 year old cat who has anxiety issues, I brought him in for the week after check up explaining this. The vet hadn't reviewed his medical records prior to my appointment. They said he would need $1200 worth of diagnostic tests and despite the animal hospital vet detailing all of his lengthy medical issues with anxiety, (and detailing bloodwork, flea treatment etc.which they also suggested I have done again) and said it was secondary and not the actual problem. They then handled him really roughly during the appointment. I did nearly $600 worth of testing and medicine to find out that he's okay. The technicians/vet aids explained things pretty clearly but the male doctor was pushing for more medicine/testing, seemed to be belittling when I asked questions back and never actually introduced himself so I was never able to get his name. He wasn't clear with communicating and listed off honestly a dozen causes for what could be the issue, instead of referring to his records or doing further physical examinations. I called the humane society where I got my cat to explain the situation and they said the vet should've seen that the humane society treated him for fleas etc, and that it'd be unnecessary to do all that testing again. The humane society apologized profusely for my experience and told me to find another vet.

So recently my cat had crystals in his urine causing him to have frequent accidents. So I did a urinalysis and he was diagnosed with crystals and a small infection. My younger sister took him in (as I had to work) to get the shot. A couple weeks go by and my cat goes and gets the booster shot to help with the crystals. My younger sister took him in again as I had to work. The vet accused my family of feeding him human food (which he doesnt, only eats his food and treats). Then he goes to tell her that we are doing everything wrong in accordance of how we are fixing my kitty's problem. I have been scolded by him several times and i did not appriciate it. The vet techs are amazing and very understanding and will listen to my problem. But I will not be talked to like I dont understand my cats needs.

Thanks to the Strausburg team, I can easily say they saved my cats life after being misdiagnosed at a different vet. He was hospitalized for almost 2 months and was spoiled with care and attention while there. Honest, caring and compassionate people. Our little fur family thanks you all for keeping us together!

The staff at Strasburg animal hospital is simply the best. The knowledge and experience is very apparent. They also are very reasonably priced and the staff is beyond friendly. Highly recommend. They treat your pet like their own.

I have used this vet in the past and moved on due to unprofessionalism, however since his neuter prices are low I decided to bring my 7 month old brother kittens for a pre-surgucal exam and shots.

The assistant was LOVELY! She was friendly and approachable from the beginning to the end and pet my kittens, talked to them, etc.

The vet was awful. He does not say hello, he does not pet the animals. He looked at one of my males and asked if he was a female? ! After looking under his tail?

I explained medical history to him multiple times, and at one point he seemed upset that they had never seen a vet, but I had previously told him they were seen at 13 weeks and dewormed, and one of them was brought to an emergency vet a month ago for urinary issues which are now resolved. This apparently turned the visit sideways because he then refused to vaccinate unless I agreed to x-rays, ultrasounds, bloodwork, urinalysis, etc.

When I questioned these procedures he became hostile and told me my animal care is lacking because they are 7 months old and not vaccinated. I WAS THERE TO GET THEM VACCINATED! And he refused to do it.

So after telling him that I don't appreciate being spoken to that way, I took my babies, paid for the useless visit, and left. I will be bringing them to my regular vet and paying double because I know they love animals and won't shame me.

Avoid avoid avoid.

Love Doctor Walia and the girls that work there. I have been going to this vet for 7 years! Every visit is always met with professionalism, compassion and friendliness! My Obi who is a special needs dog loves this vet! He gets so happy when I mention we are going to see Dr Walia.

A thank you to Dr. Walia and Staff at Strasburg Animal Hospital for their tender, love and care while treating our 16 year old Chihuahua, Lola, who suffered from a prolapsed uterus after many years of making families happy with her sweet puppies. They prioritized her on the same day and acted quickly when we first noticed her issue, and did so at a reduced cost. Dr. Walia did the best he could, given her age, and was able to treat her well enough to give her a few more weeks with us until it was time to send her off. They provided us with a calm space and gentle care in her last moments and allowed us to have as much participation and closeness as necessary through the process. Thank you for all that you were able to do for us and Lola.

Dr. Walia is an amazing doctor, very caring and knowledgeable. He is been doctor of my maltese past 2 yrs now since I have him, always stress free cause I know he is in good hands, he did all the vaccination, neutered my pet, loved the way he treats them love them like own kids.thanks to Dr. Walia for taking care of my baby.

Vet made my girlfriend cry and was not helpful what so ever, do not recommend going to this vet as they are incompetent and refused to give a vaccination to my cat yet that was the reason we were there

Dr Walia is a REAL vet who genuinely cares about the animals. He could sense just how stressed I was, when we took our Peaches to him. If only we had taken her earlier. Excellent Doctor.

The doctor is very knowledgeable and he's very caring. He's just very well care of my fur babies when they have surgery.

Brought my rabbit in to be spayed and the vet took great care of her, and she healed up with out any problems.
I looked around for prices and they were the best price I found. I will be bringing more business to them for sure!

The service from the Tech. Mariah was above and beyond, the female doctor took the time to explained in detail about my cat's surgery. We are very pleased. The male doctor is kind and I would like him to not make me wait, but even though. This is the place we like for our pets.

Wish I could give a 0. DO NOT GO HERE. A family friend of mine lost her dog during a standard neuter. He gave way too much sedative and the very healthy puppy passed away. I have heard a similar review from my best friend, but he managed to "bring the dog back" from the brink of death. My cat goes to Williamsburg vet not too far from there and although a bit more expensive, it's worth it for the health and safety of my cat.

I am totally pleased with Doctors treatment of my cat. I called at 5: 45 p.m and was in the office at 6: 30 p.m. I had never been to this vet before. My cat was in great distress. The doctor was most kind to my cat and me. I thought I would have to sit in the waiting room, he invited me back when doing the treatment. The problem was found after a check up. The doctor was able to treat my cat, and give the needed meds. I am most grateful, he was wise and very caring.the doctor has gained two new clients, due to the way he treated my cat, and my friend who drove to the clinic. You can't please all of the people all of the time, if you can please most people most of the time.you have done a great job.and this doctor has.

Honestly appalled at the service received from this Vet, he was very cold, seemed more concerned with the forms being completed than showing any compassion or even acknowledging by puppy was in the room. I will say he two girls working reception seemed very switched on and seemed like they really cared about animals.

After 2 minutes of a very cold, limited english conversation with this vet, where he was unable to understand that we needed the second dew claws removed, not declaw my dog, I left. He continued to say "illegal in Canada" which is interesting as I have received quotes from other vets and government sites say nothing about this.

To all that are considering this vet, I would very highly recommend you avoid him and go somewhere that actually cares about the well being of your animal. I will not be going back and will ensure I tell anyone who is looking for a vet to avoid.

Whats the point of being open to 6 when there are no doctors after 4 therefore no appointments.

Extremely rude didn't help my dog at all, as well barely speaks any English do not recommend anyone to ever go there.

Dr. Walia and his staff were extremely helpful and kind. My dog had to be put down suddenly, and Dr. Walia came from out of town for the emergency! He is very compassionate about animals welfare and truly loves animals.

Would highly recommend Dr. Walia. He is attentive and great with all my pets. He and his staff are always friendly and helpful. They offer lots of specialty food options too which is great for my cat's dietary restrictions.

I cant express with words how amazing Dr. Walia is and all his staff. My dog has surgery there and then was complication (due her prior condition). Dr. Walia and Amanda and all his staff did everything they could to save her. Dr. Walia was so kind and caring and made me feel comfortable knowing he and his staff doing everything they could to get her better. They experiance and care got me my dog back. I was so comfortable with them and impresed how caring they are. They offer me best care ever I had with my dog. I have no words and dont know how to thank them for all they did and doing to take care of my dog. I would recomend them highly that they are best service in KW. Not just how they take care of animals but how they did care of me being so worried about my dog. They saved her and I have no words just to thank them for everything.

Not reccomend. Although the prices appear to be great they will require bloodwrk and tests even on a healthy animal.when I questioned why.he was abrupt, spoke over me and didnt let me ask any others questions. I will not be going back.

This vet is very knowledgeable and takes time with your pet to make sure any questions or concerns you may have are looked after. He follows up with your pet, and really shows concern.

Excellent service! Dr. Walia is very kind and knowledgeable. I would recommend him to everyone.

If you honestly care about your pet, please do not take them here. I do not know how Dr. Walia has a license to practice veterinary medicine. I left almost every appointment upset due to his unprofessional attitude and many unanswered questions. He was indirect and vague with anything he told me pertaining to my cat, and seemed to lack knowledge about feline health. My cat has since received the help he needed from another fantastic vet, has recovered, and is doing extremely well. I am thankful that I left when I did, because my cat may not have received the much needed care that he required.
