I have been going here my whole life and have had many positive experiences with multiple doctors (including them fitting me in same day for an injury and getting an x-ray, saving me what would have been a very long ER wait). I am currently with Dr. Bookwala and I find he is very prompt and thorough. I really like being able to book online and I am amazed by the ease of getting a quick appointment.

I have been a patient with this team for over 20 years.
I recommend all my family
I am 100% satisfied with the entire staff
Nurses, receptionists and doctors
Especially Dr. Rana

Horrible attitude always by front desk ladies and never pick their phone up. Always showing busy line whenever you call
09 September 2023 7:45
Staff is always pleasant and do their best to accommodate. Doctor response by phone is quick and thorough. I appreciate being able to discuss concerns without an in person visit.

Dr. Dep is a quack. She is judgmental and probably came from addictive parents. Have the kids you delivered r addicts now. Stop practicing. Just to let her know I was approved for a 75,000 drug that can cure me. She tried to stop it. Pathetic doctor.

I went there for x-ray on Wednesday 14th. My report did not reach my family doctor even after one week. Called multiple times but no one picked up phone nor do they have voice mail. The place is very clean but small.

Dr. Rana is really great and I would give her 10 stars if I could, she cares about her patients and it shows. The support staff including the reception and one of the nurses are not great. They are always in a bad mood and lack empathy. I wish the support staff was as good as the doctor.

I also think they have too many patients at this clinic (or not enough doctor's) because it is too hard to get an appointment. Especially, in an emergency situation we can never get in to see our doctor, and nobody else is ever available. They should leave a certain percentage of daily time available for emergencies. Part of the reason the ER is always so full is because doctors don't have enough free time in their schedule for daily emergencies that they can handle and don't really belong in the ER.

Maybe hire a walk-in doctor for every day, rather than just Saturday's.

Guaranteed wait time of 1 hour+ and somehow the doctors try to rush your appointments within 10 min.

Impossible to get an appointment less than 4 weeks out.

Had an appointment with Dr. Shabeer and he was great. Helpful, friendly and efficient. Yet also trying to get to the root cause of your health.
Appointments have to be made in advance so just plan ahead.
02 April 2023 10:31
I have been a patient with them for almost 48 years and i have never had a bad experience with them. All of the staff are very professional and the doctors are fantastic
10 January 2023 8:08
Now a days to get blood test or repeat prescription it takes 23 days before you get to speak to the doctor on phone n it takes nearly 6 weeks to get in person appointments.
Secretary will tell you clearly if you cannot wait go to Emergency or walk in clinc.
Why do we hv family doctors if they cannot help n instead go on vacation every 4 months.
Canadian doctors are distressed.
Sorry

Feel so privileged to be a patient at this clinic. From the amazing administrative staff to the doctors, especially Dr. Park, the service and care is just outstanding. Thank you so much for all you do to care for your patients!

This doctors office has the rudest receptionist every single one of them. If you don’t like your job please quit instead of taking it out on your patients.

Absolutely heartbreaking that Dr. Philbrook retired from SMC he was the one glowing light in that very dark and unwelcoming institution. From receptionist to new doctors it seems like no one understands what they are doing. The Doctor (I won't name him cause what I have to say is nothing nice) that took over for Philbrook is awful. That's me being nice. He's AWFUL. Told me my x-rays from emergency don't get sent over and 2 minutes later said "oh hmm they they are" friggen goof. After taking the most miniscule glance he said "looks good to me" meanwhile a emerg cardiologist told me I'm dealing with mild pericarditis. This guy will never ever ever see me again as I look for a new doctor. You couldn't pay me to have that kid look at me and take care of my health. Kids a joke. An actual joke. I've been with SMC since 5 years old and at 29 I just made my last visit. I can't say enough brutal things about the joke that took over for Philbrook but my mother taught me if I don't have anything nice to say don't say it so I'll leave it at this - a word of wisdom - if you were a patient of Philbrook and were given that young oblivious kid as your new doctor RUN! Find a new practitioner as soon as you can and don't go anywhere around that guy. If I could go lower than 1 I would. Waste of time coming from Toronto for that stuff. Yuck
17 September 2021 9:56
Extremely rude - told me I was late when I was in line for over 15 mins and then wouldn’t do my test - never going back
01 August 2021 16:55
Terrible service. I had booked an appointment and I was told the doctor would be running a little late. I waited for 2 hours for a telephone appointment and they never called. I checked they had closed without alerting me that they would not be able to call.

I would like to share my first experience with this centre with regards to speaking with the receptionists. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Based on some of the reviews I have to say all so far has been positive. Very helpful and looking forward to my new journey with them. Thank you!

Ok I'm rewriting my post and I'm extremely happy that the doctor made a house call and was genuinely interested in my health as much as my dad's.thank you so much

Dr Deppisch delivered me 26 years ago my mother said she was amazing during my birth! Thanks Dr Deppisch!?

The reception staff and the bloods works team specially Barbara is outstanding too!

When I visit Streetsville Medical, I am greeted warmly, seen promptly by my doctor, and generally have a pleasant experience. When I call Streetsville Medical on the phone, however, I am surprised to find that the staff's courteous attitude does not transfer when they cannot see who they are talking to. Not only do they try to rush you off the phone from the minute they answer, but their attitudes are generally abysmal, at best. I spent an entire day on the phone between my pharmacy and the clinic trying to refill a prescription for anxiety medication. Perhaps you can imagine that without medication for anxiety, someone with an anxiety disorder has a very difficult time coping, not to mention the physical withdrawal symptoms that come with suddenly stopping these medications. The staff at Streetsville Medical put my pharmacy on hold, failing to return to the line each time they called; then blamed my pharmacy for not calling them when I inquired about the progress of my prescription. A secretary laughed at me when I said I was calling to ensure my doctor had gotten my message as I need to pick up my prescription today. I suppose they are lucky enough not to be afflicted by an illness requiring regular treatment. This does not excuse their blatant misunderstanding of the compassion, human decency, and capacity for patient care required in their line of work. In 2020, I expect all healthcare professionals to have at least a basic understanding of mental health issues and how to deal with patients politely, rather than worsening their symptoms by playing phone tag. I do not live in close proximity to the clinic anymore and am seriously considering why I would make the effort to continue to go to this clinic, when it is clearly so difficult for the support staff to be supportive of their patients. If my doctor were not so nice, and the process not such an undertaking (anxiety sucks!) I'm sure I would have switched doctors by now.

Terrible clinic. I've been coming here most of my life and it's really gone down hill over the last 5 years. Rude staff and nurses, long wait times, and doctors who don't care. When you have to wait 8 weeks to see your doctor you only ask for a few minutes of their time and they rush you out the door to collect their next cheque. Dont go here.
26 January 2020 2:56
I've been coming here for years and the one positive thing is the doctors are extremely professional and truly care about their patients.

The downside is the poor customer service from the group that works the front desk. They don't have very good people skills and have a rude/aggressive attitude towards visitors. Don't work in the health care field if you don't like dealing with people. Chances are we are visiting your office because we aren't having the greatest day ourselves! Be respectful. I can't tell you how many times I've called and one lady answers the phone and says "Mmhmm? " instead of a friendly hello as if my phone call is just the biggest inconvenience. Perhaps some customer service training is in order for the front desk folks.

But the positive note is all of the doctors are wonderful and will provide you with the care you came in looking for!

Absolutley awful clinic that staff here are extremely rude, specifically Nelly the manager who tried to kick me out of the office even though it was - 7 and I was waiting for a ride. The staff here are extremely cold and unwelcoming.

The receptionist here are terrible and rude. They make you uncomfortable and they’re never willing to help you.
03 October 2019 13:05
Staff is great but to get through evenning reception my waiting was 91/2 min. Any suggestions? Working together forr everybody well been.
17 July 2019 13:08
I would say DITTO due ST's review. You have to wait a month to see a doctor and just the general care has been on a downward trend over the last few years. And I have heard many people saying the same thing. Sad really as this was such a great clinic that I would refer people to. It may be time for change. Today I went in for blood work, took number and no one called me. When I went up to ask when I would be called, they said they were closed. When i said but it was open when I took my number at 1: 45. They forgot to call me (no other patients were waiting) and promptly closed at 2 PM and said sorry come back when we're open. How sad is this? Not to mention that with the exception of one or two, everyone working there looks and acts miserable.

Dr. Park is wonderful. She is knowledge, kind and a pleasure to work with. The office is always clean and the staff are welcoming. A great experience, I am grateful for the care I receive.

I have been a patient of Streetsville medical centre since it was in the town of Streetsville, for over 38yrs, I’ve been seen by a few doctors in the practice, 2 out of the 3 doctors I’ve had, are exceptionally knowledgeable, Dr. Taylor who I’ve been currently seeing for awhile, is an amazing doctor, she knows what she’s talking about and is always ready to answer your questions and give you advice, I couldn’t ask for a better doctor.
However all the assistants are very pleasant, caring and nice but there’s a particular one named Judy that always looks miserable which passes onto the patients, every time I have her she never responds to my hellos, as I’m to low on the spectrum for her to engage with but when she’s with a senior patient, it’s a whole new person. She shouldn’t be in the field if she can’t even have a smile on her face.
The receptionists can go both ways, some are pleasant like a woman named Paula (Amazing) she doesn’t rush u away and if u need to ask a question, she takes her time answering it and some can be rude at times but I figure there just having a bad day.
11 February 2019 14:05
Reception is professional but exceedingly busy so they can be rude. If you don’t see your dr.regularly they will put you as inactive. They may then refuse you when you try to book. They will blame this on the dr.but it is actually the clinic staff/manager deciding this. This happened to me. I had to find another dr.
04 February 2019 12:02
Have been coming here for 10+ years, the doctors are more than amazing, BUT the front receptionists and nurses that bring you to your room are the most unpleasant, unwelcoming, condescending people i have ever met in the healthcare industry. Once you enter, their sour additude ruins your whole visit to the doctors office.

I've been a patient in this practice since the age of 10 when it was actually located in Streetsville. A lot has changed over the years forget about calling and getting an appointment with a few days to a week. You better start planning your illnesses in advance. Your looking at a 1 month wait. Not to mention although it is a group practice you can not book with any other doctor unless you come in the same day to see if they have any openings available. Forget about calling in to make an appointment you'll be placed on hold a minimum of 10 minutes. Today I walked or should I say hopped in to see if my new doctor had any available appointments. I cut my toe and it was showing signs it is getting infected. They told me no appointments until December with my doctor and I would have to come back tomorrow to see if any other doctor in the group had spots open as you cannot book in advance. Then she told me go find the nearest walk to where I live. This practice's quality of care has changed completely since the original doctors retired. Very disappointing.

Service is extremely slow. I felt that the staff doesn't value the patient's time, I came here to get my xrays done. Expected time 15 mins as per reception desk. It took 30-35 mins after asking again. Front desk was under the impression that I finished my xrays. I asked what the wait time was for the CD afterwards and was told 5 mins. It took another 20 minutes only to be told to return another day because they were having issues burning the CD. Just be honest with clients regarding wait times so we can plan our days accordingly. I wasted an hour sitting doing nothing where I could've have gotten an xray done elsewhere if I was advised of the wait times. Not cool, will not be returning. I don't recommend it either.

Dr. Errol Sequeira MD is one of the most thorough physicians I have ever met. I personally see another family physician that I've seen since I was a child. I went with my husband to his appointment with Dr. Sequeira and was very impressed with how thorough and QUICK Dr. Sequeira was able to get my husband into a urologist (3 days later!) and had his blood test, urine sample and ultrasound done ONSITE right after his visit! I couldn't believe it! Dr. Sequeira also, during the appointment, called a urologist on duty at the hospital to verify a protocol and medication that he was going to put my husband on. He did this all in a matter of 15 minutes and did a quick physical exam also. If I hadn't been with my family physician for so long, I'd be inquiring to switch to Dr. Sequeira right away. Excellent, excellent physician! He also 'walks the talk' and leads a healthy lifestyle. Excellent physician. Highly recommend! I know my husband, Mark Guarini, agrees!

This review is ONLY about Dr. Errol Sequeira who works out of Streetsville Medical Centre and not about the Medical Centre it's self.

If I could I would give Dr. Errol Sequoia -10 rating!

If you want to give bad drugs to your love one's then Dr. Errol Joseph Sequeira is your man.

If you know someone that visits Dr. Sequeira at Streetsville Medical Centre and you love them, then RUN!

Dr. Sequeira had said that it is up to the families (Power of Attorneys) what drugs a patient's gets. How can a doctor take medical advice from people with no medical background?

Dr. Sequeira has been prescribing Risperidone/Risperdal to a dementia patients in long term care for over 18 months! WHY?

Health Canada along with the drug manufacturer Johnson & Johnson have issued a warning NOT to prescribe Risperidone to Dementia patients.

Elderly patients with dementia treated with Risperidone have serious health risks associated with the drug including an increased risk of death. Dementia patients who take Risperidone may suffer from a number of side effects, including serious ones like gynecomastia, movement disorders, diabetes, pituitary tutors, strokes, mini stroke along and heart problems that can lead to death. Also another side effect is sudden cardiac death, it occurs when the heart abruptly stops pumping blood, this is not the same as a heart attack.

So why would Dr. Sequeira continue prescribing this drug? This is clearly ELDER ABUSE!

Do you think Dr. Sequeira would prescribe this drug to any of his family members? Please remember Risperidone is not approved for use in patients with dementia-related psychosis.

Do yourself a favour and find another doctor.
