I'll echo the other reviews here. We needed to have a tree that was in poor condition removed as well as other shrubs. Jack arrived on time to provide an estimate and his office handled the permit process for us, which made our experience as homeowners so seamless. I also appreciated that Jack scheduled us a month earlier than planned because we were hoping to have the work finished by a certain date. The team on the day was led by Josh, a certified arborist. His team was so meticulous and attentive, down to making sure their large trucks and equipment didn't block others on our small court. To remove the tree, they needed to enter our neighbor's property. They were very careful about cleaning up any stray branches and leaves, and put anything they moved back in place. They cleaned up after themselves on our side as well and removed some dead branches from our other trees as a kindness. Josh also took the time to explain to me what to watch out for with another tree on our property. I found everyone at STS generous, conscientious, and thoughtful. My toddler also had a fun time watching them work from the window =). This is a wonderful company that I'm happy to recommend, and I'll be reaching out if we ever need tree support again.

Jack came to quote a prune of 3 trees in my backyard, 2 apple trees and a maple. I wanted significant reduction as these trees were overgrown.
Jack came to quote, was on time and very professional. We scheduled a date in the fall.on that date a crew of 5-6 was at my house by 8: 00am.
Jack came as well to guide the job with the crew. After a debrief his team got to work. With the amount of crew working, all 3 trees had a significant reduction taken, all debris cleaned up and chipped on site, and any mess that fell to the neighbour’s was removed.
I was asked to review the job once it was done to ensure it was what I wanted. I asked for some further branches to be cut on the maple and it was done without issue.
The trees look amazing. They were shaped beautifully and not damaged. They created that balance between my ask of a large reduction and the health of the trees.
Thank you to Jack and STS for this work. I plan to use again when the trees need this service. I only have after photos but please trust that for these trees this is a 30-40% reduction

The STS crew arrived promptly and did a very professional job, trimming back two large trees. The old "raccoon ladders" are gone and what remains are two nice, trim trees. The clean up afterwards was exceptional, with our yard and the neighbours looking neat and tidy and better than before they arrived. Thank you, STS.

We needed a juniper hybrid trimmed or removed as we are selling our home and it was unsightly. Originally we were going to cut it down. Jack explained everything thoroughly and was continuously professional and patient with us in his followup as we made our decision. With his help we determined a trimming would be sufficient and the tree looks so much better now and we are very happy with how everything turned out (and we saved a lot of money as a result too!)

It has been a great experience to work with STS, and dealing directly with Jack McClellan: over 30 years in the business, highly professional, respectful, responsive, and timely. STS also managed the tree removal permit with the City of Mississauga. In addition, costs are very reasonable.
During the execution of the works, the crew was very well staffed, very diligent and does not “cut corners”, ensuring the safety of personnel and properties.

Exceptional experience from beginning to end. We needed to have two trees taken down as they uprooted in the last wind storm. Jack and the team were courteous and professional from our first conversation on the phone. Jack came out to do the consult and then brought in the team within a week to do the job. I hired STS Tree Services 2 weeks ago for a rather large job of removing a large dying tree and also removing multiple large trees that had fallen in my backyard over the past summer.

My initial contact with the company was with the owner Jack who came promptly to provide a very detailed quotation with each item of work quoted separately along with a total (which was discounted as a package). The pricing was very competitive and fair in my opinion.the STS team then handled the process of applying for a permit from the City of Mississauga.

After the permit was obtained, I was offered a few dates to choose from and I appreciated this, as it allowed me to arrange my work schedule accordingly

On the day of the service, the entire team of 5 workers arrived on time and Jack was there to ensure that everyone was on the same page as I was with respect to work that needed to be done. I appreciate that the STS team was very easy to communicate with.

The team got to work with tremendous enthusiasm and professionalism. Josh (the lead climber) saw to it that the large tree he was cutting down did not damage my property or house whatsoever.

In the middle of the day, extra STS team members arrived to help the original 5 complete the job.

The BEST and most impressive part of the STS service was the how they cleaned up my property after they completed the removal of all the dead wood. There is one word to describe the quality of the cleanup - that word is IMPECCABLE! I have hired 4 other tree companies in the past, but none came close to STS with respect to how they left my property cleaned up so well.

I am 100% satisfied with STS tree services and I will definitely be calling them for my next tree service. I recommend that anyone and everyone in Mississauga or the GTA give them a call. You will NOT be disappointed.

Sts tree services did tree removal and tree stump removal at my property. From the first contact until end their staff have been very professional and helpful. Everything was done quickly and efficiently, and my property was left spotless when they finished their work.

Good experience overall. Jack was responsive and punctual coming out for an assessment and quote (twice). Josh and crew completed the work in a timely manner and left my yard cleaner than they found it. Straight forward, no surprises……just like it should be.

We were looking to have 2 trees removed from my backyard and Jack was able to come promptly to provide an assessment, professional advice, explained throughly what will be done and an affordable quote! Within 2 days, Jack has arranged to have my trees removed for the following week ensuring it will be done before winter! I also chose to have my shrub in the front trimmed as well.

Joshua and his crew arrived on time today, where Joshua explained thoroughly what he will do and a little educational session of why my trees was split partially (thank you!) The two tree removals and shrub trim was completed efficiently and a thorough cleanup was also completed!

Jack and his steam are amazing to work with. I used their services for several tree removal on two occasions. They are very knowledgeable and very professional, arrived on time and left the property clean. Their rates are also pretty competitive. I strongly recommend them and will be using their services again for any related needs.

STS is very busy and it took time to get open slot to perform full day of work for a full crew. Work was professionally completed and clean up was thorough. Some branches fell into neighbouring lot and in area behind our shed. When mentioned to STS team these were removed and cleaned up couple of weeks afterwards as requested and another cleanup done of area.
Team members and staff are highly experienced, know their trees and understand their work. They are friendly, provide advice and listen to the customer. They have tools and equipment to deal with unique needs of each lot or property.
I would highly recommend them and plan to use them regularly for work on large no of different trees in my lot. Company owners or principals are highly customer focused, personally communicate or follow up throughout, from work estimation to job completion.

The STS lads did a great job with our trees. Very professional and friendly and completely kitted out with all the safety gear. Josh is an expert and an artist, the way he took the tree apart! They did a great clean up job for us and left all the firewood in a neat pile. Really great team of strong, motivated lads that clearly all take pride in their work. Their goal is to always make sure that you are completely satisfied from start to finish. They did an exceptional job in cutting back our hedges that started covering the sidewalk. Crew is organized and work well as a team. The owners care about their business as they attend the site to provide an estimate and to determine logistics for the work to be done. They show up at the site on the scheduled date to ensure all is proceeding as planned. They are not the least expensive, nor are they the most expensive, but they offer good value for the cost. We used their services twice in 2021, very satisfied both times.

We recently, BC (Before Covid) moved into a house that had some beautiful trees which had not received much attention in a number of years. We had STS Tree Services evaluate the trees last fall and come up with a plan to do the work in the spring. There is alway some unexpected things that happen when you have a contractor doing work on your property and even more so when they need to do part of the work in your neighbours back yard. So this was no exception, the unexpected was the team did a great job and cleaned up all the mess when finished. No issues with the neighbours at all!
