Sugarbush Heritage Park

If you've driven along 407 and marveled at the fall colours in this beautiful patch of trees on the intersection of Bathurst and 407, being inside and walking the trails is a much more beautiful experience. The fall colours this year in 2022 are stunning all over and this place was blooming. Trails aren't very long but very enjoyable.

We come here all seasons long. Very nice trails Easy access from Hwy 7. Not too many parkings tho.

Really nice trail. Very picturesque and level trail. Easy to walk and enjoy nature. Trail is a loop.

A great place to go for a hike with little ones. Feels like you're in the middle of the forest right in the city.

Lovely new dog park in the neighborhood with a separate pen for small dogs. There's also a trail for a quick hike. Gets busy in the evenings. Opt to go 12-4 in the afternoon.

This park has a beautiful forest walk. It took me about 30 minutes to walk around the forest. Being surrounded by all the trees and fresh air was quite relaxing. The park was also very clean. Will definitely visit again!

Has a great dog park which isn't too large, but also isn't too small. The park also has a public bathroom and the woodlot next to it is good to walk or cycle through.

An amazing trail that has shade through out the entire trail because of its tall canopy. Relatively easy hike and well maintained.

Nice and easy walking trail, only 45 min to 1 hour walk, easy to park your car, new construction for dog area.

Our favorite forest! Air is fresh and trails are soft. With up hill and down slope, these trails are perfect for a good walkout! A gem in the city! Free parking, human and dogs are welcome! There is also a Dog Park outside; one section for big dogs and the other section for smaller dogs.

The canopy of trees makes it cool.on a hot day, it is well maintained, clean, has respectful dog owners, and the new off leash dog area is great.

Loved this little park. The entire trail is filled with tall trees and shades. The path is well maintained and is not difficult at all.

Lots of paths crossing reach other. You can go walk around in circles in this park. See some bikers come here too.

Nice forest and walking trail.but there are many selfish dog walkers who unleash dogs and they are free to run everywhere they desire like near little kids

Lovely trail! Can get a bit muddy at times but thats okay because its all part of being out in nature

Beautiful scenic forest outside of the urban sprawl! Went here with a mountain bike expecting some cool trails but came across a calm and shallow trail network made for short hikes. Not complaining though, as it was still a great place for a bike ride.

A nice forestry area with trails.
There are not too many parking spots, while the park is popular.
A children's playground is also available.

Small 2.5 km trail but very beautiful and accessible. Loved all the leaves on the ground and tall trees made beautiful scenery.

Story boards were fun. Would've been better if there were maps in the forest to indicate the paths. Otherwise its great for a short walk.

A nice Forest, washroom and parking, what more could you want. Kudos to the municipality for preserving this lovely mature maple wood.

Wide trails, not too heavy foot traffic, and lots pathway options makes this a great local stroll to easily 2km+. Also it has a great canopy so in rain or hot weather is a solid choice.

Beautiful green area. Well kept trail but careful with some roots in the way.
Parking gets full quickly but you can always park on the road or side roads.

Great place for the whole family to go for a walk together! It isn't that busy and for the most part quiet except for the occasional loud cars zooming by on Hwy 7 that is nearby.

This place is very beautiful for walking or hiking with tall trees which make it a unique place to visit. I went there on a rainy day but I really enjoyed my trip and did not get mud on my shoe. It is very nice for photography as well.

Greta little place to hike. Didn't know it existed. It's an easy trail so it's good for beginners!

We really enjoyed the Sugarbush Heritage Park, however, I couldn't give it a 5 star because there was no "wow" factor. The trails were nice, easy and level. The trails were well shaded and cozy amongst the trees. Definitely a nice place to visit

This is why you should live in Thornhill Woods! Because there is awesome forested areas like Sugarbush! It’s the largest (by far) or the wooded areas, but all of them are well maintained and very pleasant to walk or mountain bike in.

It is a big beautiful park in a convenient location. Not maintained in the winter but that’s not a surprise. Highly recommend in the summer/spring/fall

Great place for a walk. Right in Thornhill near highway 7, propels you out of the city and into the country except for the occassional humming of the highway. Unfortunately not a lot of parking. Great to take it in during the winter especially after a snow fall, the trees all covered in snow making it a winter wonderland.

The trails are easy to follow regardless of which one you take they are circular and will bring you back to the entrance.

Very beautiful forest and fun to have a picnic at. Large landscapes and amazing views. Great for weekly hikes and just to get a breath of air. It's even good to bike at.

Nice little hitting away trails. Great for taking dog for a walk or stretching the legs. You would never think it was there if you didn't know about it. Good any time of year. Parking is available for free there.

Great for a one day trip to visit sugar shack. Learn how Maple syrup is produced. You can also choose from several trails to hike.

Very impressive especially for the location. You soon realize where the name comes from. Nice wide trails and well kept. Would be nice to see more wildflowers and wildlife.

It's beautiful for a walk with the baby and dog. Quiet except in a couple spots and surrounded by beautiful maples.

I moved to this area and have been wanting a place to walk that will take me away from the city, so to speak.
This is it. It's perfect. It's not for those who are looking for a challenge but if you want sun dappled trees as far as the eye can see then this is for you.

Great place to teach a child to bike. The circle path around the park is usually quiet enough to allow a child to try out their bike.

Small neighbourhood park on Hwy 7 in Vaughan. About half an hour trail of forest of mostly consisting of mature maple trees. A bit noisy as the park is right beside the highway.

Nice park with lots of trails to explore and lots of irresponsible dog owners that treat the trails as a leash free dog park which the posted signs clearly indicate it is not.

Gorgeous place to take photos and go for a walk one of the best parks I have been to in Ontario

A Hidden Gem surrounded by busy highways roadways.
Its a quiet place to go for a walk, great place to get away and enjoy nature time to think.

Gets a bit muddy, boggy, and wet certain times of the year but excellent green space. Groomed and ungroomed trails.

A surprisingly nice wooded area in the city next to busy highways. A very enjoyable trail loop inside under the canopy of trees. Plenty of dog sightings here. Bonus: lots of free parking.

Had a good walk along and loop around the trails during Spring 2019. Some spots are still wet and muddy. Spotted few flowers along the trail. The parkland is still in the early stage of development.

It's a bit icey but I went geo catching and its pretty funny, I recommend going there during the summer for a decent hike experience.

Trail with pretty steep terrain, slippery in winter. Large field in front with some kids slides. Few parking spaces. Lots of mosquitoes in the summer because of nearby infiltration pond. Good place for a walk though.

This park is great, best one in Vaughan for hard wood. If park users could only carry there dog poop bags out with them.

A Park with a lot of trees. Very beautiful area even in winter. Just 4 stars because it seems like an off-leash dog area, reading the other ratings. There were some unleashed dogs what we really liked. But in fact that is an on-leash area and get your dog off the leash, might cost you money if a official catches you.

I go this park a lot to exercise. There are few people throughout the day. Only thing you should watch are dogs and bicycles.
