One of my favorite thai food places. Delicious food and love that there are halal options. Excellent location, just walking distance from union. Atmosphere is also pretty chill.

I still give them a chance because the quality of their food is consistent but they’ve been shrinking take out portions every single time I order from here over the past year, the exact same item shrank at least twice…while of course prices are either the same or keep going up. If you think you’re saving money in tips by ordering it to go, you’ll lose them in the quantity of food you receive.

We have tried various Thai restaurants across the GTA for last few years and I have to say that Sukho Thai is by far the best! Pick any thing from the menu and chances are it would be awesome! My favourites are Pad kee Mao and pad Thai! Hope this place never loses its consistency.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this halal Thai restaurant, and it was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed by the warm and inviting ambiance. The restaurant's commitment to halal ingredients made me feel at ease, knowing I could enjoy authentic Thai cuisine without any concerns.

One of the best Thai restaurants in the city, if not best. The location is kinda small so if you don't have reso then it can take a while. However their food is worth the wait. The portion sizes are really good and in most cases you won't go hungry and might even have left overs. Have been here several times and have tried a lot of items. Some of the favorites include: green Thai curry, stir fry, Khao Soi, pad Thai and cashew chicken.

Delicious food, quick service, although I wish the interior was a bit better set up (felt kind of clumped together), wait times can also get a bit long, but again, food makes it worth it

Beyond the fantastic food, I was very impressed by their service especially in these frantic times. They manage the reservations really well. The restaurant was full but never crowded.

We ordered in. We ordered the padthai, garlic chicken, red curry with jasmine rice, cashew chicken and stir fried garlic beef. Yummm is the only word that comes. Lovely food! Halal too and a Must try. Planning to eat again and more

Highly recommend! Found this Thai restaurant by accident and it was definitely worth it! The food and drinks were sooooo good! I was so impressed by their green curry and mojito. The restaurant has nice atmosphere. It is a good place to hang out with friends and enjoy nice Thai food and drinks. I want to go back to try other dishes already haha

Don’t get me wrong with this review.

The best tasting Thai food in all of Toronto and I have ordered from here multiple times a month, on and off, for the past 6 years. It’s also one of the most expensive Thai restaurants in Toronto.

Unfortunately I was falsely advertised a BOGO special, then after ordering and receiving my food, I did not receive the offer.

Spoke with staff / management and unfortunately all I got was “I’m sorry”. No willingness to provide the missing item or anything as a result from the promo that wasn’t honoured as advertised. Just upsetting that they aren’t willing to make right and only apologize when I choose to spend my money here. I was inconvenienced when myself and my friend only received one item instead of the BOGO advertised.

Simply speaking I wouldn’t have ordered in this occasion if there was no BOGO advertised.

Hopefully this is fixed and the other people that missed out also complain.

Supreme customer service. Very good place to eat with a big group. Would recommend anyone for Thai in downtown.

Food is fantastic, always a good option for takeout. Can't speak for dine-in. It's a little pricey but worth it for the quality

Came with a family of 12 and the service was super fast and good. The food is absolutely amazing here, so glad it is halal, easily one of the top Halal Thai places in Ontario.

This used to be a go to place for Thai food, but it's gone downhill post pandemic. The food is still pretty good, with portion sizes seeming to shrink (inflation is a thing). The past two times I went the wait was ridiculous (1.5hr+), and when they brought the food to our table it was room temperature. Maybe they're having some struggles with labor as it seems to be the issue today, but right now we had two disappointing experiences, and probably won't be back for a while.

Very tasty curries and I really enjoyed the noodle dishes. Would highly recommend trying this spot - this is my go-to for Thai food!

Love this place, the atmosphere, food, and service! Got the Khao Soi with chicken and it was delicious. The portion was not enough that I was full for hours after. Definitely will be back again to try the other dishes

Good food but certainly not the best Thai cuisine. When I visited, dessert options were limited eg they didn’t have mango sticky rice.

Good lunch spot. Pad Thai was what you would expect. Will definitely go back and try out other dishes. This will give me a better perspective.

Service is very fast and friendly. The food is amazing. Garlic shrimp were large, very fresh and flavorful. Pad Thai was very good but the Kaio Soi (forgive the spelling) is the dish to get. It has a very rich and deep coconut yellow curry broth, egg noodles and your choice of protein.

Only issue is their spice level in the food alternates and lacks some consistency. I’ve ordered spicy twice. Once it was perfect, but second time it seemed way too spicy.

I’m only giving this place 3 stars because the food is good but the service is not. Went for lunch a few days ago and had an extremely rude server. He was rolling his eyes and sighing when we placed our drinks order, was abrupt and stand offish, blankly stared at us when we asked for food recommendations and had a really terrible attitude overall. I’d understand if it was a busy day but there seemed to be less than 10 people in the whole restaurant.
The girl who seated us and checked our vaccination cards was extremely rude too right off the bat. Not really sure why.
I just wanted to get a nice lunch with my mum on her first visit to Toronto but instead we were so anxious the whole time

Such a shame too because I’ve supported this place during the pandemic only for my first dine in experience to be so unwelcoming.

The khao soi is my favourite. If you can, try the thai iced tea. It’s very refreshing and yummy.

Fantastic Experience. Delicious food and great service. Flavours will be remembered for a long time and want to come back.

My usual go-to for lunch. Conveniently located within minutes of walk from the financial district.

Had the padthai, it was delicious. Sat outside, a little windy, but still possible for September. Will come again

My boyfriend brought me here, as our anniversary lunch. The food was to die for! Everything was so delicious, including the mocktails. It's halal as well, which made it even better. I defo recommend this place, 10/10!

Its is truly unfortunate that I am forced to write this review. SukhoThai offers great delicious authentic Thai cuisine but the dining experience experience is not just about the food. Today me and my family felt unwanted and unwelcome to dine in.
Me, my wife and my new born baby girl were told to sit on a shared table with other costumers despite the fact that the restaurant had barely any costumers, and since the dining area is not accommodating to baby strollers i had to carry the stroller all the way up and down and was offered no help, only to find out that we cant even dine and have a pleasant experience. It is truly unfortunate that now i would never recommend dining there, feeling discriminated against or unwanted specially when you are with your family is something truly i don’t wish for anyone. I used to come all the way from peel to enjoy dining at suko thai, not anymore i guess.

I will give them 5 star for their food and 1 star for their service, I have supported this restaurant during the pandemic on a weekly basis and now they back and open they wont even pick up the phone.they lost my business forever. I feel hurt as a loyal customer.

Love their fried rice and soups. The only thing I don't like is the service. Too slow and always have to wait.

Food was pretty good, but the wait was a considerable amount of time. The service was also quite poor, and workers were standoffish.

So today we called them and asked if we can come at 1: 45 pm as they closes at 2.15 pm. We reached at 1: 30 and the doors were locked. We again went in the evening THE SAME DAY and the girl said they are closed as some renovation going on. As per the girl on phone we can come and when we reached they didn't have any clue. Such a bad experience

Be careful if you have peanut allergy. I ordered pad Thai and stated no peanuts because of allergic reaction. When I got home there was peanuts at the bottom of the noodles. I ended up in the emergency all night. The reason why i am posting this because no one should go though my experience.

Cheat customers, quality of food is bad as they do not use peanut, chkn qquality is bad, people r aalso not friendly, they do not respond to customer s in friendly manner

BEST THAI JOINT IN TORONTO, the beef pad thai and cashew chicken are to die for - for chilli heads.ask for their hot sauce on the side n get ready to burn!

It's very loud. Food was good, but not outstanding. Massaman beef isn't chunks of beef braised all day, just stir fried slices mixed into the base. Good service. Gorgeous bartender

Awesome food. It was fresh and really delicious. Serving size was also more than enough. A really good thing is that it is halal. I would go back here. Loved the food.

Love this place! Cashew chicken and chicken fried rice is a great combo, but also love their pad thai. Good portions and appetizers are well rounded, delicious. Look forward to coming back to this place every time we're downtown!

Heard great things about this place and came with high expectations (as it is apparently owned by the same person who owns Pai - one of my fave Thai spots in Toronto) but left disappointed.

My pad gra prow was a bit bland. And the nam plik sauce didn't do much to elevate the flavours of the dish. Also, my wife's Panang curry was OK but way too sweet. Our friend, who sat across from us, was disappointed that his dish was also food-court quality.

The appetizer of garlic shrimp was quite delicious, but very overpriced and the batter used isn't much different than what you'd get in supermarket frozen foods. Everything just smacks of quick-and-easy type of food, which is not much above food court quality.

All of this is forgiveable (ish) if the price point wasn't too high, but it was priced like a regular, proper, Thai place. At least the service was friendly.
All in all, not horrible, but definitely disappointing. Didn't feel like an authentic Thai place, and Toronto has way, way better spots for Thai food IMO.

I’d leave 0 stars if I could. Tried going in today, no indication online OR over the phone that they were closed when I got there the workers were extremely rude my whole party was stunned and disappointed. Usual long waits and terrible customer service in general.

Waitress is super friendly, understanding people with kids. Food is great. The khao soi? (top right corner of the menu) is superb. Heads up it took 40 minutes for 3 mains to arrive.

Absolutely horrible. The Asian guy who is apparently the manager or in charge has no manners whatsoever. It had been 40 minutes since we had placed our order and because we had to leave in 15 minutes to catch a game.when we asked him how long it will take he was extremely rude and not at all cooperative after wasting our time he threatened to call the police if we didnt pay for the appetizer. Absolutely no apologies or respect for customers. And he told us to never come back again God help this place with a manager like that.

I've never been to Thailand but this place makes me want to go there. People are so friendly and the food is incredible. Just make sure you clarify spiciness levels if you can't handle.

The food tastes really good here. I had crispy noodles in curry chicken, loved it! The only downside was the wait time for food was long. Also the place got so noisy.

Love how casual and authentic Sukhothai is. This is just one of their locations. You can find most of Thailand’s popular dishes at this restaurant. Service was very friendly too.

The best Thai food restaurant in the GTA. I've been to many other Thai restaurants and this place is by far offers the best taste, flavor and authenticity. Love it.

Always very consistently amazing. I’ve been going here for years, before and after becoming vegan, and everything I’ve had (nearly everything on the menu) is delicious - my favourites are the Khao Soi (which cannot be made vegan, however Sabai Sabai makes amazing vegan Khao Soi!), the green curry (with chicken or made vegan), and the pad thai (any meat or made vegan). Best pad thai I’ve ever had and everyone I bring here agrees. Service can sometimes be slow but overall it’s usually reasonable, and it often gets extremely busy, even on weekdays late in the evening. I definitely recommend this place!

Portions are huge. I saved half of my lunch as dinner and I was full with the rest of the Pai Thai. You have to try the fish. They marinated it so well and it was always delicious.

If I could give 0 stars I would; never have I felt so mistreated at a restaurant with a pompous waiter who didn't even want to bother asking the kitchen when our food was coming. We waited over an hour without any food (20 min.waiting for a table, OVER 35 min for 2 fried rice).

My friend and I came to this restaurant on Saturday night (Nov 10,2018), although it was a busy night and we had prepared to wait, 20 min.for the table no problem. Moment we sat down, we had ordered right away. We were excited to try the food that we heard so many good things about. The male waiter we had seemed friendly, took our orders and brought our set of dishes/cups. After sitting for 20 minutes, the waiter didn't even come back once to check on us, didn't even ask if we wanted more water. After 30 minutes, it seemed as though the waiter forgot about us. My partner wanted to leave at that point; I gave the waiter another chance by asking when our food would get there. He said he'd go check and walked away to serve others.

We waited 5 more minutes, we put on our coats and got up to walk out. That's when the waiter came over to let us know that "it'll be a few more minutes" We apologized and explained to him that we've waited for over 35 minutes at this point for 2 rice dishes and no service. He then replied rudely with "WHATEVER".

Needless to say, the WORST service I've ever experienced at a restaurant; really wished we could have had the positive experience everyone else had.

We placed our order today at around 7: 40pm with one server. The appetizer and drinks arrived in a timely manner, however, we waited over 40 minutes for our main dishes (Pad Thai and curry) to arrive. When asking our server how much longer the wait would be, she replied "Even though the restaurant doesn't look busy, there are a lot of online orders to fulfill before your order. The curry is ready but the Pad Thai is not" with no exact indication of when the order would be ready. I then asked how long the bill time is to prepare the Pad Thai to which she answered, "5 minutes". After hearing this I cancelled the Pad Thai order and asked for our bill to be taken care of. The server billed us for our appetizer and drinks and packed up the curry for take out. Better to order from this place on Ritual or for delivery since it was clear that that's the priority of this restaurant. Will not return.

Good food but the staff was way off. They were just not with it. The waiter would not come take my order until he was called over. He didn't check back to see how the food was or if I needed anything else. The only time I could get his attention was when he was serving the tables around ours. Halfway through my meal, I ordered calamari. When he brought the bill I asked for my calamari and he said he forgot to put it in. He served other tables that came in after us before us. And he brought their food out first while we waited an extra 10 to 15 minutes for ours. My verdict: try somewhere else. Their food isn't special enough to have to deal with that mess. Oh and I forgot that there was no greeter at the door and I had to chase her down in the restaurant just to get my name on the list so we could get a seat. As a result there was a crush of people at the door just waiting to have their existence acknowledged. Maybe I should've taken the hint right there and walked away and my suggestion is that you do too.

Quite a prominent restaurant, but it's very easy to see why. Expect a little bit of a wait during peak periods, but the staff do an excellent of job of coordinating, and keeping people moving.

The menu has a few options, but each one appears to be fantastic, and two options I tried (Pad Thai, and Cashew Chicken) were savory.and thoroughly delightful. As mentioned above, the staff were keen to take our order, and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and the waitress ensured that everything was satisfactory.

The place itself is clean, and while it can get crowded, table are spaced far enough to have a quite, more intimate conversation as well. Go check it out, you will not be disappointed.

As a restaurant they deserve a 4-star rating but as a Mealpal provider they deserve 2 stars based on kid portion size alone. I would revisit for their food and ambience in-store but would never order their Mealpal again.

The food is delicious and they have great service here for the last couple times I have gone in. The waitors and waitresses are good at providing recommendations if you are unsure of what you would like to have.
The shrimp is also done well. It is not over cooked which can make them rubbery.

Its an ok place. Way too loud and cramped. And to make matters worse, the service is so slow. Too much noodles and not enough noodles and chicken. The only plus is that the food tasted good. Not going back to the place though.

Khao Soi has to be one of my favourite foods, and sukhothai makes it pretty well. For someone who likes spice, thue medium has got some kick! Took me a minute to adjust in my first bite. The service is good and the atmosphere is casual. I also ordered a mango juice, but it was pretty pricy for just juice. The place is clean, and gets busy quick. I would highly recommend making a dinner reservation.

Service needs improvement, but they have fantastic Thai food. I love the Kao soi and pad tai. The ambience is nice.
