It is an excellent place to share a relaxing time with family or friends, everyone is always very attentive.

It was the most fabulous restaurant I've eaten in in a very long time! The food was fabulous and tasty. The waitress was fabulous and treated my BFF and myself like Royalty. It was amazing and food was original and very tasty! She gave us directions to some great places to go and stay for a few nights. I didn't book b4. I didn't really know the one area l needed to go to, so it was better to go and find a place then and it worked out better.

Started off ok, nice place. Service was so-so. Drinks sat at the bar for 25min before they were served, food was a bit greasy and somewhat salty. Kids food was ok, not stellar.

Our waitress was great and food was good but when two of our party sent back two martinis because they couldn’t taste the vodka and it only tasted like olive juice. The morning manager (Kelsey I think her name was) came over and scolded our table for sending it back and saying it tasted disgusting. And yes maybe disgusting was a harsh word but two people from our party really did not like it and she came over and scolded us for sending back a drink. Including calling us rude and calling us our in-front of our whole party. She was incredibly rude and made us not want to come back if we are going to be scolding for not enjoying a drink. Our waitress was great and very accommodating but our experience was ruined after the morning manager came over.

The service is as warm as a cry for help in a darkly lit alleyway. The atmosphere isn't much better. For the price go anywhere else. Literally anywhere.

The chicken wings at Summerhays are consistently amazing! I am also impressed on how well the waitresses work together and making every visit a great time. All their meals are top notch but I’m a wing nut! Wings are now under $5.00 a pound on Wednesdays with any Labatt beer.
You can’t beat that!

Food never disappoints for dinner time. Amazing burgers! The chipotle burst burger is to die for.
The cajon chicken pasta was also amazing!

We had a great morning in Summerhays Grill. We went there with a family friends and our kids for breakfast. They have quite broad range of breakfast variety for every tastes. We all liked thier thier food. Their customer service was excellent and you have access to waiters when needed and they were professional. Kids love the place as well.

I've been here quite a few times and I can't remember ever having a bad experience.
The FOH are all very friendly and professional. The bartenders are quick and conversational if you want them to be. The BOH never disappoint. Every meal I've eaten here has been exactly what I expected.

Not sure why this place only has a 4.1 rating. We ordered 3 different breakfasts to share and couldn’t decide which one we enjoyed the most. Yum.

Been to Summerhay's many many times for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Never had a problem before.
I ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Asked for no mushrooms. The server acknowledged the request. Got the order and there were several mushrooms visible in the sandwich. Got servers attention and said that I had ordered it without mushrooms. She said "oh, they put mushrooms in there". I was disgusted and left without eating because of response and having to wait for another one to be prepared.
Will find another favourite restaurant.

Was in Sunday was completely packed kitchen staff was going crazy in tge back serving food in a timely matter and hot, the front of the house staff step up and weathered the rush food was amazing.

Amazing service! Delicious food made perfectly! The prices are great, given the huge portions they serve!

Been a couple years since I have been there but I am sure by now they've fixed major issues like dirty beer lines and an owner who enjoys skiing indoors.

The design of the restaurant is out dated, but our server was nice and helpful. We got the wonder women breakfast and the eggs Benedict. The food was average and a little overpriced, but they had gluten free bread which was great.

I ordered the philly cheese sandwich. The menu had it as being severed on a baguette. There was no baguette, just regular hotdog bun. The sauce though was good. Had I known it was on a hotdog bun, I would of ordered something else.

Best servers in Ottawa. Always fantastic. Very well managed, accommodating, and fun. Great friendly environment.

Very poor prices have got very expensive over the top no value for money any more will not return.

Cold food, horrible service, food is clearly microwaved, finally manager is unapologetic and disrespectful.

Manager was completely disrespectful. Does not follow mask by-law completely, including mask exemptions.

We had Father's day brunch. Showed up with 8 people we got seated right away. Service was great and so was the food

Want an awesome place to have a few drinks and enjoy a nice meal? Maybe an appetizer? This is the place! Great service and awesome people to be around!

We had a couple of beers and some "Crazy Paula" wings which are Suicide and Honey Garlic. They weren't that spicy, but they made up for it in deliciousness! Our server was top notch and they even replaced my lost mask so I could Uber home! We'll be back.

Nothing spectacular, just food and drinks at a reasonable price. Nice for a meet and greet. If your seeking a classy, romantic ambiance to woo that lady on a first date, this wouldn't be the place!

Amazing tasting food and wide variety of drinks, staff are incredibly nice and keep and eye out on the people that are too drunk. Should've given a bigger tip

We come back time and time again for their Huevos Rancheros breakfast. It always pleases and food is served with fantastic smiles.

Great prices for decent food. Personable regular staff that always get you to crack a smile. This is my spot!

The service was great and the food was ok. I'm giving it 3 stars because of the lack of options for vegetarians. Excluding appetizers and the salad section, only one meal didn't have meat in it. I've been to steakhouses with more vegetarian options. Having many burgers on your menu, maybe consider adding the option to substitute a beef pattie for a vegetarian one? Simple gesture but very appreciated.

This restaurant is always busy, if you have to wait, it's worth it.

We went with a group of 20 people and we ordered drinks and food and at the end when we pay the bill the waitress charged us bill for 2 more drinks extra even though we dodn't ordered them and she started arguing that we ordered the drinks. The waitress is so rude and there one more lady supporting her and then I asked them I want to speak with your manager and they were saying you are not allowed to speak with him and finally some how I spoke with the manager and he refunded the money. Personally i would not suggest to go to this place as the customer service is not good from the servers and the manager is really awsome.

Used to have a reasonably good service 2 years ago. But I had 2 to 3 very bad services lately. Lots of my friends had he same issue. Specially when we are in groups it's a night mare.

Even the management was as rude as you can think. If the management doesn't care about service why would the servers.

The server was so not comfortable and skilled (lol - basic math) to split drinks bill amongst a group of friends.

After all its her job to serve well and give the right bills.

Actually, I give one star for this place. I am giving 5 stars so my post would be on top of the list. For about three years I have been passing by this restaurant and never felt like checking it out. Nothing attracted me to do so. Recently, on one Sunday I ran out of options and finally decided to go to this restaurant called Summerhays Grill. I went in with my Prego wife, we received a warm and a friendly welcome. So, they have a wonderful waitress who greets and welcomes every person as they enter this place. We followed the waitress as she lead us to the table. We sat down on the uncomfortable chairs. I wish we were given the table with the cushioned benches that were vacant as well. We didn't say anything as we were planning to be in and out quickly. After about 5 minutes another waitress shows up, gives us the menu, does not greet, no smiles and walks away. We we're ready to order but were twiddling our thumbs for the waitress to show up. The waitress takes our order after 20 minutes. Again after 15 minutes of wait, some one else brings the wrong order and the waitress of our table snatches it away with out even apologizing. Initially, I gave her the benefit of the doubt, thinking she might have had the bad day. Now, she made us feel that she doesn't like us. Finally, she brings the food to our table with a long delay, pours the coffee and walks away. Thereafter, she did not come to our table to ask us if we needed more coffee or anything else. Where as she went to all the other tables smiling, talking to them and asking over and over again if they needed more coffee, even though they didn't want. That made us feel that she is discriminating. I would never recommend this place. If you get the waitress that I got, then good luck! My first experience here was the worst!

This is a very nice location with great food and discount and choices. The servings are a decent size and can easily fill you up. The service is great but sometimes the servers tend to be overwhelmed. I suggest this place!

As far as I'm concerned this is the only place for breakfast in the neighbourhood. Been coming here for over 5 years and it's always exactly what the doctor ordered.

The service was really good! But the food is waaaay to overpriced for the quantity. Drinks are pretty decent, standard bar stuff.

I brought friends from out of town to this establishments because they were looking for a good breakfast spot. The waitress refused to service me because I have an allergy to a fruit that they dont even have in their kitchen. She refused to check the kitchen to verify if they did. Instead I was forced to leave. Once I spoke with the manager on duty she informed me that they DO NOT have any kiwi on the premises. I wasn't even offered an apology or asked to stay. Horrible experience and I will never return. Or recommend this place to anyone ever.

My go-to brunch place when visiting Ottawa after a race and before I head back home. The food has always been great and regardless of how busy they are the service has always been quick and pleasant

Consistently great service and good food! Some days it can get really busy, especially during the school year - you've been warned! It's still a great place to go for breakie/brunch, or watch a game or fight! Def recommend

I enjoyed the bar with honestly amazing prices and atmosphere I usually get great service there and I highly recommend the electric killer kool-aid and their frozen cocktails. The food is exactly what you'd expect but not in anyway disappointing. If you happen to be a wine lover they definitly put care into that wine list as well.
