Summerhill Market

I just bought Summerhill’s own granola, it was 50% off as it was one day before best before date. However the granola was stale and unedible. Even 50% off was still expensive for such a small jar.

Wide selection of prepared foods. I've tried many dishes and enjoyed them. The layout of the store is good. The young girl (evening cashier) is always friendly and cheerful - great customer service!

Very expensive. Lot's of prepared food and items you won't get at other grocery stores - a fun place to shop. Worth shopping the 50% and 30% off items.

Nice location with great displays and plenty of product, but the prices are absolutely ridiculous.

Pricey but they have a great selection of stuff. The meat is always fresh and the produce (though sometimes stupidly expensive) is top notch. I particularly like their prepared foods and their desserts.

They're prepared foods are incredible, I haven't been disappointed yet. The Chicken Pot Pie, Fish and Chips, Quiche, Salads etc.all delicious and many times you can find them half price. The store isn't huge, but they have everything you need and the store is laid out well, they cash you out quickly. I would have to say the only downfall is the prices are much higher than a high end grocery store. I do shop here often when I get home late and want to grab a prepared meal for the family.

Very weird selection. I only went in because I was in pain from a tooth extraction and I couldn't wait in line for the food bank.

Been shopping here for many many years. The Summerhill location is much better than the Annex location but I no longer live close to Rosedale. While nobody is forcing me to shop here, it is frustrating seeing many products cost 50% higher than the same products available at chain supermarkets. The other thing that bothers me is many prepared foods/meats/fish/salads are always on the verge of expiration. So overall this place is generally good for last minute prepared food. I will buy my fruits and vegetables elsewhere along and meats from a butcher shop.

I have bought a number of different food items (mostly greens) from here that were rotten, but I only noticed once I got home. I emailed management but received no response. Insulting when it costs twice as much as shopping at any other grocery store.

Great selection of specialty products. BUT their employees deserve a living wage. I was told cashiers make minimum wage which hardly seems fair considering how bougie this grocer is.

Love the uniqueness of summerhill market. Good quality products.

Had the hard to find Chili Sauce I was after and at a decent price. A very friendly and helpful cashier and a terrific French Lemon Tart as a treat!

Huge Selection of Dietary food options, From Keto, Gluten-free and vegan they have a huge selection. They are more costly, and there is a bit of a mark up that you'll notice in comparison to other stores with the same products. I however only pop in for some of their fresh juice, vegan cheese and ready made meals which are fair priced!

Expensive to the point of being overpriced. But those hard to find items can usually be found here. Great customer service.

Summerhill market? More like summerhill MARKUP. Listen, I understand this is an upscale grocery store and they DO have lots of nice stuff, and I expect it’s going to be a little more expensive than other places, especially since the products are more expensive wholesale too. However, there’s no reason to be marking up the exact products offered elsewhere 50-75% of the retail price. 3 stars cause they have a decent selection, nice staff, and a convenient location - but stop gauging people on products that are available much much MUCH cheaper elsewhere (including other smaller grocers).

Pretty, upscale grocery store with an assortment of unique products, condiments, foods, bakery items, fresh flowers and gifts. The chicken pot pies are infamous and, like many of their other prepared foods, are conveniently available fresh or frozen. I visited the location on Bathurst and the staff was friendly and helpful. The store has a nice aesthetic and is well designed. It is not overly large making it easy for a quick in and out or to enjoy browsing. I really like their grocery carts! They are light weight, roll smoothly and the perfect the size for moving through the aisles. Parking is available for customers and a large exterior sign will direct you to it. The store is accessible as there are no steps. Online ordering for delivery or pick up. They are known for their catered meals and platters for entertaining.

Really great spot to pick up a few well made healthy prepared meals to add to the weekly meal menu. Helps manage the cooking sometimes with a fast paced lifestyle. One of their salads is absolutely amazing and has like 4 portions in it

I really like this specific Summerhill location. It's close to my house and if I go at the right time I can get a lot of my items for a reduced price. The drinks at the front are fun to try and they have wonderful cakes!

Decent selection but far too pricey. Too many flourless cakes though! I just wanted a big standard chocolate cake: Instead there was flourless, egg less, gluten free but not a chocolate sponge cake in sight! The cakes and pies are marketed in summer hill boxes but I’m guessing as per all Like pusateri they are made in a centralized factory and then rebranded as the taste, when I finally decide to
Just get orange blossom, was nothing extraordinary for the 20 Dollars I had just paid for a small cake! Layout is haphazard and not easy to navigate.
Pros: wide selection of products for people who don’t need spare change.

The fresh meals/pizza's/sandwiches/sweet treats are what keeps me coming back to this place. Really tasty options and always a variety to choose from:)

Can't give 5 stars though as the prices are over the top. This is not the place you want to go to for a normal grocery shop trip as the veggies/fruit/bread are insanely over priced. It's good as a quick 1-item pickup kind of place, but not for multiple items.

Customer service has always been standard for me.

Very fun store, they have one of the better selections of non-alcoholic beverages at various prices (not just the super expensive kind). Staff at the front / the ones that answer the phones are extremely helpful and frequently and check on stock each of the times I’ve called ahead before making the drive out!
Only tried the Beckett’s brand so far - and it’s great, the gin and tonics are my favourite. 2nd visit so far and the store has unique items not available elsewhere, which is perfect including its location.

I was so excited to eat my apple MOULD pie that I bought 30 mins ago. I wouldn’t be so furious except for the fact that this happened earlier in the week with my walnut sourdough bread that I had also JUST bought.

Their bread does get mouldy quite fast, so beware. We’re talking the next day.
When you’re at the register, make sure that the prices are what they say in the aisle. They are often higher at the register than at the aisle.

Really disappointed in the quality of most foods here, generally. Very frustrating.

Its is exceptionally clean, neat, fresh and always an adventure in trend and taste. Pricey? Yes. Excellent service? Yes. Not a discount grocer, but does not pretend to be. Parking is usually easy. Go explore!

Clean and bright inside with a great selection of local and in-house made dishes! I love picking up their cinnamon buns for breakfast and checking out their wide selection of ready to eat dishes. Such a small detail but I also really love their smaller sized rolling carts because they're so much easier to navigate than the hand carts and they're perfectly sized for the store.

Very fancy establishment. A little rich for my taste, but an excellent place to buy some fancy food-stuffs for the kiddos for Christmas.

I bought a moldy apple pie. It was just frustrating. Please make sure the products are fresh. Hope it’s not gonna happen again to anyone.

Great selectionof natural foods, a tad bit more than what you would spend at Loblaws or Walmart. On par with Whole Foods. Very cute looking store inside.

A good selection of products. Some rare products that aren't commonly found elsewhere which is nice. Price is a bit higher, but when it's on clearance, it's 50% off.

Have a nice selection and do a fairly good job of monitoring numbers and making sure everyone is complying with COVID protocol.

Very interesting grocery store. Upscale and alot of items that you cannot get at most grocery stores. Cannot deny that it is a bit pricey and will be a shock if you have not been there before. However the ingredients were all quality.
One thing that really caught my eye was the packaged sushi that they carry. It is labelled by Miku which is a favourite of mine; especially for Aburi sushi.
The highlight of this trip was the vegan section which had alot of options and variety. Some that I have heard of and tried and others that I thought were only in the US. Definitely recommend checking out this grocery store at least once!

The new Summerhill Market on Eglinton Ave W.is easy to navigate and well organized. There is a good selection of prepared foods and the check-out is located at the back of the store, next to the parking lot.

This place feels very nice and has some awesome products but also isn’t very reliable. A lot of items don’t have a price on them or the expiry date — some of the bread products for instance. When they do have the date, they’re often just about to expire. I keep going back because I don’t have a lot of options in my neighbourhood but I wish I didn’t have to pay a huge premium for an average quality store. The staff is really nice and they try to help when they can.

It's overpriced-that's fine since groceries are fresh.

However, it's intolerable that the prices I actually paid didn't match the prices on labels. It happened a few times already.

When a cashier scans a good twice, she expects you to find it and to ask for a refund.

I am so tired of shopping in such a store that I need to stare at the screen to see if the prices are mismatched or are entered twice. Terrible terrible operation for a high end grocery store.
