It's tiny and when it gets really busy it's impossible to get around inside the place. Do not bring children or even a stroller in here, there's not a ton of space and you're more likely to knock something over than buy something. Try the other location if you're able.
Summerhill Markt grocery store is unique with its variety of fruits, organic juices, meat and dairy products. Fine quality is all you get here. Very enjoyable experience and super friendly staff.
The service in here is always amazing. You can find all the essentials and more. The quality of the food is also quite amazing. They have a free parking lot as well!
They are smaller than average big grocer, so they carry more limited items, but they are all great quality, and staff that working there are great too.better than big grocer.prices little higher although
Its over priced.small vegan section and lame very lame.actually better prices than healthy butcher but there is no butcher? 55 minutes? No one can pick up meat im not an employee there.
Big disappointing for their customer service. I had to return a strawberry cake because it went bad. I bought 2 cakes last Saturday. One was fresh and delicious, but another one tasted weird and sour. I took some bites and a few hours later I had stomach and diarrhea. The next day, I brought the cake and told cashier that the cake went bad. They didn't ask anything about any health problem or show any mere concern at all, just told me they weren't sure if they can refund as I touched already. It's not just a simple refund and I'm not a black consumer. I was disappointed at their bad customer service!
Im so disappointed in summerhill. I generally love the place and usually have no qarms.however to up all your prices (i get it due to covid) and subsitute your olive oil dressings to vegetable oil (have you actually tried the salads with the new veggi oil dressing?) It's greasy, tastes disgusting and because of that wasteful.please dont scrimp and save on your customers, we deserve better.
May 2021. This place is uniquely located on busy mount pleasant road in an upscale neighbourhood. Honestly convinent, this is a larger than normal convince store that sells a variety of goods including meat, prepared foods and bakery items amongst the high shelves of canned goods. Very good for what it is as you'd expect from summerhill.
I was excited to check out this store after driving by and thinking it looked cool and cute. After a walk in the park with my boyfriend, we decided to wait in line to check it out. Due to limited capacity from COVID-19 restrictions, only one customer from each household is allowed at a time. My boyfriend waited in line with me, since he was planning on waiting outside while I went in to shop. A white woman in line behind us began to complain LOUDLY on the phone, making assumptions and accusations about us, saying that we were going to go in together (which would hold up the line). She then aggressively yelled at us, telling us that only one of us can go in. We are of Asian descent, so she probably assumed that we couldn't read the signs ourselves. I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. Nobody intervened or said anything to her, my boyfriend had to tell her to calm down. My boyfriend also informed the worker letting customers in/out that she had yelled at us, and the worker had just told my boyfriend that he could wait next to him, meanwhile the racist customer acted all sweet to the worker. I cannot visit this market again, even though the produce looks fresh and the food looks good because I do not feel welcome or safe here.
Not many obey the directional flow. It seems like there are too many people in the store. People don't obey physically distancing. I think there should be a staff member walking around the floor ensuring safety. If it's crowded, checking out can be messy. Especially if you are looking for something in the aisle that people are lined up in to cash out.
My go to for pre made meals! Plenty of variety to choose from especially those lazy days where I do not want to cook. I am always excited to shop here as my treat. There is always this nice/stylish gentleman in the front to greet you while you wait in line, and to eliminate the waiting boredom his enthusiasm really puts a smile to my face. The groceries are always fresh and anything I buy gets eaten quickly in my house so nothing goes to waste.
Great pre-made meals, the steak and mushroom pies are always easy to pick up on the way home for a quick and easy dinner. It is very small so it can be pretty busy, the larger one further south is much larger and has a better selection.
A great place for a gourmet. A wide choice of prepared food to go, including pastry and cakes. They have atrisan bread of great quality and taste. Highly recommend this small but great store to everyone
AMAZING STORE Friendly service.always a smile on the face of Declan, at the door. Fantastic selection of prepared foods.delicious, healthy and affordable. Thanks for making preparing meals so easy. With gratitude, Rosemarie Taylor
I shop here when I'm in need of a hand in the kitchen. Its expensive but the prepared vegetables and salads are healthy and keep me eating well when I'm short on time. I haven't loved all of the prepared foods I've tried, but the lime + coconut marinated chicken breasts are SO good and flavorful!
The groceries here are expensive, but worth it. They sell high quality products, some of which are difficult to find elsewhere like the original oat milk brand. Their prime rib dinners and meat pies are must buys.
Was in the Mt. Pleasant shop recently. Certainly a much smaller version than the original store, but they had the Milford Bay smoked trout I was looking for.
Pricey+ but everything is exquisite and delish! Frozen chicken pies are the best.lots of chicken and other veggies.even the crust is good. Yummy baked stuff, interesting bread selection. Free parking.
This is a great convenient place with Quality merchandise. The staff is exceptional! What prompted me to write today was the cashier spotted a meat package she believed to be mis-price in the stores favour. She promptly went to the meat counter and had it corrected.
Also be aware the have some exceptional pricing! Best price on Illy coffee is the cheapest in town and buy 6 & get 10% more off!
Nice place, nice products, lots of organic stuff. Is fairly expensive but it's very close to where I live. Much closer than shoppers or any of supermarkets. In some ways, they are a similar to a Mcewan's grocery.
They have godlike chicken fingers and chocolate covered almonds. Great pre prepared meals. Also one of the only places I can find Boylan Bottling Co.drinks!
The most rudest and snobbiest experience ever in retail! Lots of bogus reviews on here beware!
Staff are rude and unhelpful. No eye contact or smile from the young ladies at the front checkout. No thank you for your business. Staff walking around appear pushy. Don't know their merchandise very well when asked about inventory of specific items! Food is incredibly overpriced for such a minute faction. $8 for a 3-bite chicken pot pie? Lol You can rich but not on my dime!
These guys at small players. Stick with Whole Foods or Pusateries for way better customer service
Customer's are also stuck and snobby and most look like the need medication.
Parking? There is none. Good luck trying to find a spot as you'll be fighting for the available spots on the street.
Will NEVER go back here. Total tainted experience!
The worst apple pie ever. Bakery started deteriorating two years ago. Too bad because the quality of most other products are fine so they should be because they are the most expensive in the city other than the Robbers on Yonge st.
Great little market on Mount Pleasant. Good prepared food options. Quaint and cozy shopping experience, food is over priced. You do pay for not having to shop at a crowded market with crazed rush hour people. Also, there is no parking.
