Sunbridge Hotel and Conference Centre Sarnia/Point Edward

This was my first time out to the restaurant tonight and it was amazing and delicious.

Everyone that went for dinner tonight loved the food and deserts.

Our waitress Amanda was amazing with my little one. The rest of the staff greeted us as we entered and thanked us as we left.

We ordered French onion soup, shrimp penne, loaded fries, loaded fries with more bacon and no green onions and tomatoes, beef pot roast.

Thank you staff and I hope to come back again soon for some more awesome amd amazing customer service and delicious foods too!

I really like this hotel. It is converting over to a Four Points Sheraton. The lobby is large with lots of comfortable seating for groups to hang out. It is very nicely decorated as well. They have several ballrooms that can be used for even larger groups to gather and make a great space for a team. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool is large and fun for the kids. The rooms are not small and have a very large television and comfortable beds and pillows. The only negative was the restaurant. I would definitely avoid the restaurant buffet. I did not try the breakfast buffet but heard negative reviews. We did try the dinner buffet and most of the food was over-cooked/burnt and did not taste good. It was a lot to pay $22 CAD to have very disappointing food.

I’m in Sarnia for the Bluewater GranFondo. From the point of booking to checking in the staff were courteous and helpful. Today there was a problem with my room and they quickly upgraded me to a suite no questions asked. The rooms are updated and lovely. It will be wonderful when all the renovations are complete
Great location as it is easy to get to and close to the water

We stayed here on July 29. Hotel is currently under renovations, however upon arrival, Michael, was excellent during check in. We had an upgraded King room, it was all brand new and the renovations are beautiful. I can’t wait to see the property when it’s finished. In the meantime, I’ll be back for the great customer service!

Convention centre under construction. No restaurant or pool open. They were very accommodating. Great time.

I love this hotel we are here right now my dad had to go for shoulder surgery at blue water hospital we stayed 2 nights and this is the BEST hotel I've stayed at for a long time. The rooms are very clean, the beds are so comfortable u don't feel the person next to you rolling over, the shower is glass shower clean and so relaxing I didn't want to get out! The service is also excellent! Very friendly and always smiling! Very accomadating as well. We needed 2 more chairs and they were brought up asap no waiting. The property is under construction but didn't hear much noise from that. The only small complaints I had was when we came the tv channels didn't work but the second day we were here the channels were fixed (could if been a construction mistake) and the only other thing I would complain about is for someone that's not here on business and being that we had to stay in the room all day there wasn't a small couch to sit on they just had a chair at a desk and the tv over the desk so it was uncomfortable to watch tv for long periods, unless u lay in bed and watch tv but you are laying in bed all day and all night. But if you don't mind that then u are set. But we will definitely be staying here again when we are back in town. Thank you for the great service! Will be recommending this hotel to everyone.

Rooms are very old. No breakfast, terrible view. Tiny gym.

Went to check in receptionist was so busy on the phone that it took her a while to attend us. Since restaurant was close due to reno, had to buy a bottle of wine from outside which was totally okay but when asked for crock screw, she did not even look and said she doesn’t have any, i mean really! Turned out a poor experience. Not recommended at all

This place looks like it is under construction but our room was very nice at a good price. All staff was friendly and polite. I would highly recommend this hotel.

It's a really good place, I would recommend it for anyone looking for a temporary stay at Sarnia.

The hotel is in the process of a complete renovation. There are no signs anywhere. There are no services available. No bar no pool, No food of any kind available. Front desk does not have Information on the area. This hotel does not accept US currency

Still under construction so there’s no access to some of their amenities.

Pros: Room is super clean, newly renovated or remodeled. Good size tv (70”?). Bar fridge, microwave, coffee machine are provided. Loved that only the part where the beds are is carpeted.

Cons: No USB ports; bathroom door doesn’t lock at room 263; a small sofa would be nice near the window/veranda.

Honestly horrible, ive been at bad hotels but this has to be the worse and its not even about the cleanliness or damages. I would say its about the workers they are very ignorant and rude. I see homeless people there and they treat them like there different. Just because you have a house and the homeless doesnt mean u have to treat them differently from all the other people in there

Hotel is being renovated, but it looks like the works just rushed right through. You can see the drywall behind the wallpaper. The wallpaper seams are terrible
rips in the wall paper.

Towels not restocked
No room service fridge not full with any beverages or food.

No room ceiling lights ac had live exposed wires.
They wallpapered the bathroom with no working bathroom fan just a mess.

And this was the same in all the 3 rooms we had rented

We enjoyed our visit. The receptionist was very nice. We called ahead that we will be arriving around 12 am. But they were fine and greeted us warmly. We needed water and microwave and they brought water right away. Even though we were in covid restrictions but still we enjoyed our visit.

Worst experience ever! It was really dirty. As soon as I’ve entered my room I went to the washroom there was pee on seat. I had to clean up and disinfect everything. The blankets has blood stains on it. The curtains also were so dirty. The room smelled really bad. Won’t encourage anyone to go there.

We absolutely love this hotel.centrally located within walking distance between both Iron Bluewater Bridge and Andrew S. Park, Centennial Park which enters onto the board walk.our first time exploring Sarnia but wow oh wow.we are in love with what Point Edward has to offer with everything u can think of doing recreationally with your family. The hotel really surprised us with its conveniently close to everything hotel along with the pool/hot tub.on a booking time slot of 1 hr but that's all the more better for your family's privacy. The pricing beats out surrounding hotels on a budget of close getaways for the entire family making it affordable holiday away. Clean, comfortable rooms & beds, tastefully decorated with balcony chairs for your evening relaxation. Highly recommend place for families to get away close to home.

I guess you get what you pay for that being said, the room stunk like old cigarette smell it was damp it there. The lock on Patio door was broke, just a little bar with one screw in it to keep you secure. The dog upstairs was barking a lot. I will say the ppl at front desk were very warm an friendly, the cleaning staff were cheerful always spoke friendly to us.

The customer service the first day from the two gentlemen was FANTASTIC. Mckenzie ruined the entire atmosphere of our stay the next morning. Most rude and unfeeling person I have ever had to deal with. When Marriott takes over they should keep the gentleman in the suit as he was extremely pleasent and professional and FIRE Mckenzie.

My partner and I enjoyed a delicious dinner on the patio. Our server was friendly and efficient, and the food came out hot and perfectly prepared. The menu is extensive and I can't wait to go back and try another meal there. Drinks were also great and I'd recommend the Sweet Tart cocktail. The patio is quiet with lovely lighting and greenery that provides just the ambience we were hoping for. Highly recommend!

Nice room with 2 queen beds. Need to upgrade your carpets in the room. They seem not too clean. Pls provide microwave and a shoe bench.

They messed up our reservation. We booked adjoining rooms, with handicap for Mom. To top it off they had a smoker next to us and we could smell the smoke. My asthma was abd enough and then having to deal with second hand smoke

Worst service I’ve ever had. You would think the servers were handpicked from the homeless they are housing. The bathrooms smell like a porta potty. The server took so long to get to my table I went to the bar to get my drink and it looked like they haven’t wiped the bar in ages. Every glass had lipstick stains or just looked unclean. In the time of a pandemic you would think cleanliness and hygiene would be a top priority. It is not. My server Hannah’s attitude when I tried to explain my frustration was less than pleasant to talk to and deal with. On the contrary, the food was very delicious and the chef (tattoos and skinny) was very considerate and came out to check on the food and he was an absolute delight to us. This was the only thing that saved our dining experience. Maybe the actual kitchen staff would be better suited to serve your guests as well.

Unbeknownst to us upon booking, this hotel has been used to house Sarnia’s homeless population when their shelters are full. We came to Sarnia for a family getaway. It started out as a nightmare because of this place. This hotel has decent reviews and photos looked good. Upon arrival to the hotel, there were men loitering outside the entrance. A bit strange but didn’t think too much of it at the time. When we arrived to our room, we were HORRIFIED. A strong lingering smell of smoke instantly. Not only was the room not cleaned thoroughly (stains on the bedsheets, dirt on the floor), but the room should have been gutted long ago! The furniture was old and scratched up. The worst part was the carpet. Blood stains. EVERYWHERE.and what looked to be caked in construction spackle. It’s unbelievable they would give such a room to a family with a young BABY. We could not get out fast enough. I felt like I needed a shower even after only being in the room for a short period of time. We were refunded our money and will not be returning. Extremely disappointing.

I thought their service was very slow. My server Hannah was very rude. Lots of attitude. I was out with my daughter's for her birthday and they made her feel very unwelcomed. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Billed as a 3 star hotel, that is very generous. At best it's a one star. Cigarette butts on the balcony, along with a coffee cup full of butts.
Little ants around the coffee maker and in the bathroom. Stained curtains, visible dirt on the floor like it hadn't been vacuumed.
The employees were very nice.

Extremely disappointed with this hotel! Was constantly woken up by construction! Rude staff and when booked a few nights was woken up with 11am wake up calls when told them that I was staying a few days! No house keeping, room stunk of smoke! Blood on the curtains and heater, was not cleaned properly! Fridge was broken, lost all our food because they never changed us rooms or fixed it! Homeless wondering the halls one smoking inside the hotel. Nothing was done with the problems shower didn’t work properly! Tap came off hurting my foot. Nothing was ever done or ever fixed! No clean towels either! Don’t waist your money going here, breeding ground for homeless, police in and out of property! No rest, useless staff and to make things more awesome, was accused of smoking because the hall way smelled like smoke! Not our room the hallway! Was billed because of that, over $400 on my credit card! On top of by stay even tho the room was clean and there was nothing proving we did! Just because of the hallway smelled like smoke due to the homeless. Men grabbing food out of trash cans in the hall ways. It’s a real shame. So many better places then this dump in Sarnia!

Made a sudden plan to visit sarnia and decided to stay at this Hotel for a night. Overall experience was quite good. Few things I’d like to draw the attention was about room facilities, actually we laterally needed to change the room as TV of previous room was not working. Rather than that staff was very nice and friendly. Pool and Hot tub facility was also good. Just felt slightly more charges compared to facilities and service.

Very clean and friendly, would recommend to all my friends. We were put up here from a very good friend of ours who has a production company for bands and enjoyed our stay.

We stay at allot of hotels. We cam here to get away for a night with the kids. Hotel was comfortable and safe, pool and spa was excellent, staff was friendly. We also ate at the restaurant which was very good. We will be back.

Rooms are good but could use some updates. What most impressed me was the staff.all so friendly, especially housekeeping.
