Very nice food, very nice people working there and affordable food prices especially mini thali.

I am a South Indian from Chennai, living in Canada for 35 years now. In all these years I have been to many restaurants in Ottawa and I have to say this is the best authentic South Indian meal I've ever had! This is a really nice family owned restaurant. I went there twice this past week, once with my Canadian friend and the second time with my 95 year old dad. Both myself and my company thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the experience. We tried the mini Tiffin which gave us a chance to try different items in one meal. We also had the masala uthappam which was very delicious. I also did a takeout of medhuvadai and chicken 65 for my family and they LOVED it! The owner / the primary chef Sundari is not only an amazing cook, she is friendly, respectful and courteous. In her busy schedule, she took the time to come to the front and greet us to make sure we were served well and satisfied with the meal. I'll definitely be bringing more friends and family here, and also recommend the restaurant to others. Thank you, Sundari's kitchen for bringing the taste of South India to Ottawa. This is a place where you can have absolutely delicious and homemade type of food prepared by the owner Sundari and her husband. I ordered chicken dumplings biryani which reminded me of the one I used to have in India during my bachelor’s degree

Sundari's kitchen has the best South-Indian food in Ottawa. The mini tiffin has the perfect portion for a full meal and also gives you the authentic delicious taste of simple South Indian snacks - Idli, dosa, vada, sambar and variety of chutneys.

I got a chance to chat with the owner, Sundari ma'am and she was warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this place for a satisfying meal.

If you're looking for authentic South Indian Taste, I would say.go and try food @Sundari's Kitchen. Especially, "Ghee Mysori Masala Dhosa". It was delicious.

Moreover, the dessert "pineapple kesari" in the mini tiffin was mouth watering, highly recommended!

A new place serving popular south Indian cuisine in the city. We tried idlis, vadas and dosas. Everything was nice and freshly prepared. The place is nothing fancy, clean and well served though it has possibly only 30 odd covers. If you are in area and looking for quick meal fix, this is a good option.

I recently dined at Sundari's Kitchen and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. From the moment I walked in, the friendly staff made me feel welcome and the ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting.

The menu offered a wide range of options to choose from and the dishes were beautifully presented and full of flavor. The service was top and the staff were attentive to our needs throughout the meal.

It’s the 2nd time we’re coming. 1st time we tried Masala Dosa and it was yummy, everything was so fresh the sambar, chutney.
2nd time we had chicken 65 Biryani. Same as last time. Everything was delicious and just felt like homely food. Just a Con is that the service is bit delayed but the wait is worth

Had the most wonderful experience at Sundari's Kitchen this evening! By far the best Indian food we've had in Ottawa. The food is super authentic, delicious and made with all fresh ingredients. All the staff greeted us and treated us so nicely. We even got to chat with Sundari herself. Everyone was extremely welcoming, kind and friendly. You absolutely must check out this incredible restaurant! We loved the food so much that after dinner, we ordered food for lunch the next day

Very tasty homely South Indian breakfast dishes. Had ordered the mini tiffin with a bit of everything (it’s a wholesome meal by itself) and it was fantastic. Loved the Soft vada, excellent Chutneys and an awesome sweet (pineapple Kesari Bath).

I tried masala dosa and Biriyani. Fresh and delicious masala dosa, Sambar was sooooooo goood. I would recommend Sundar’s Kitchen.

The best place to have South Indian food in ottawa! Everything has an authentic taste. Love the food, love the place and people. It takes like 15-30 minutes for you to get the food at the table but it is worth waiting since the food is super fresh and delicious.

We have been to Sundari s kitchen twice now and loved it every time. The food is on point, service is quick and informative. We will be back!

Cozy place with good food. We oordered masala dosa and chicken biriyani which were so yum. I wish they could offer more drinks than just a bottle of water.

Definitely one of the best south indian restaurant for sure, I will go back for dine in as well take outs. They have many variety of dosa dishes, idly and oothapams. Very fast service.

Their food quantity and quality is good. You could enjoy south indian music along with the good food. The atmosphere is 3/5 which is one thing they could improve it in the near future.

Without a doubt the best Biryani in Ottawa! We ordered chicken biryani, chicken korma and chicken 65 for our Eid party and it was a hit! We have become a regular at Sundari’s kitchen for the mouth watering dosas and Biryani is our all time favorite. We will definitely recommend Sundari’s kitchen for both dine in and catering.

It's a small place, so make reservations in advance. The Birayni was not the best, but the dosa was amazing. Would recommend avoiding Birayni and other dishes.
