Sunmed Family Practice and Walk-In Clinic

Waiting time is very long for no reason. I saw the person in front of me walking out after seeing a doctor and waited very long time after that.

This is the clinic my family goes for years and now I’ve grown I went by myself and bad experience. I waited for 2 hours and the person on the desk let people goes before me. I understand some had appointments but others don’t. I waited for 2 hours and they let the people who came after goes first. At the end I left after I had enough for the 8th time she let other person go. When I left then she called me if I was going or not. What a waste of time. Never coming back there again.

I had a terrible stomach bug and needed to be seen by someone ASAP. I called to see if I was able to walk in and luckily I was able to be seen by a doctor. I did have to wait some time because it was last minute but luckily I was able to be seen. I was given a prescription that helped ease my symptoms and I luckily made a full recovery. I’m super grateful for it.

The girls in Dr. Drakhshan's office are nice over the phone and very accommodating. They were able to schedule me an appointment for a PAP (I've been due for one). They made sure I had a female nurse and they were very courteous and made the experience so much better.

I went there today for a simple cold. Some Russian lady who could barely speak English at front desk told me that they are only seeing patients who have been there from 2020 to now. For crying out loud, I was not sick since 2020 so why would i attend a "walk-In-Clinic". She had also mentioned that the doctor at this facility only sees patients who have been repeat customers since 2020. I will be filing a complaint with the Minister of Health and the College of Physicians for their conduct. It is called a "WALK-IN-CLINIC" and people can walk in to see a doctor.

Dr. Afrooz Drakhshan is very nice and professional, smart Dr.too, when i went to her and when she listen to what i feel and my story of what happened to me before i went to Sunmed clinic she gave me a referral to the hospital right away, when i get to the hospital they brought me to the emergency on the spot so they did lab and CT scan then they found out i got mild stroke.thank you so much Dr. Drakshan for the right and good assessment. By the way my neurology and my Dr. At the hospital said your a good Dr. Nice staff too in this clinic. This clinic is perfect to those people who are looking for their family Dr.

Dr. Afrooz Drakhshan is our family doctor for more than 5 years, she is professional and knowledgeable doctor, she care her patient. Her staffs are friendly and well trained.

I will recommend this clinic. The front desk staff is so helpful and accommodating. Dr. Drakhshan stayed longer beyond the working time to finish all the needful patients which was so kind of her. I understand I waited for more than hour but doctor stayed more than 2 hours after clinic hours to help the patients

To be honest Dr. Derakhshan is an angel! I have never had better experience with a doctor! I have been seeing her since her clinic opened and have recommended many friends and family to her aswell that all love her! She has spent time with me when dealing with crisis helping me in every way she can, has done follow up phone calls when I can't make it to the office. And ensures that all my questions are answered and taken care of. Her staff are wonderful and helpful! I have never waited more than 45 mins as a walkin patient. And never waited longer than 10 when she was accepting clients prior to covid.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Derakshan for several years. She is very knowledgeable. The front desk is very kind and helpful. I always go there for any bloodwork I need.

Dr. Afrooz Drakhshan is a professional and courteous doctor. She’s the model for professional healthcare.
She is helpful and willing to go that extra step to ensure patient comfort and care.

Last week I had knee pain after two hours finally doctor Derakhshan visited me when she ask me the reason to see her, I told her about knee pain and I asked her to write for check up (annually). She shut on me and told I am tired and for each visit just one problem. She is very unprofessional.no recommended her to anyone

HORRIBLE PLACE! They denied healthcare and didn't mention that it was possible to get a doctor paying a fee. DO NOT GO THERE

I don't recommend this clinic at all. They don't accept any bookings and every time you must wait for couple of hours and then you will meet an impolite and arrogant doctor that her behaviour is not professional and actually is insulting.

I wish they had consistent hours of operation. It’s hard to plan a visit when the hours always change.

NOT RECOMMENDED Dr. Derakhshan AT ALL!
I had an awful experience with Dr. Derakhshan.
She is very rude and has very unprofessional behaviour. Patients look like MONEY making machine to her! She is always in rush and sees you just for few minutes and if you have more than two questions and requests, she gets angry.
I visited her recently to get my regular check-up requisition. At first, everything was going smooth and calm, but when I asked her to add the test that she missed to add on my requisition, all of a sudden, she lost her temper and jumped up from her chair and went to the door and I felt she wanted to kick me out! I was shocked and couldn't talk.
She was very angry and said: "I don’t have much time to read all your results, I JUST GET PAID “$ X” for each visit, go and find another Dr. "
Not only she ruined my weekend, but also, I get stressed whenever I remember her reaction!
This is NOT the only complaint I have about her and her knowledge.
