To the people that work here, they do it for greed n nothing more. Anything digested by these soulless people, your doing yourself a disservice.

It’s the poor food management n consultation that makes this establishment a piece garbage.

I ordered the liver from here, which is a by the way horrendous, because ideally the place I order liver from Dons Caribbean Jerk.but it was sold out.

By the time I got the order confirmation I thought I would be receiving what I asked for like any other user. By the time it reached my door the I completely received the wrong order.they gave me ackee n salt fish.

They didn’t even consult me that they didn’t have Liver. In all the time they could’ve called me & told me that they were sold out.

If I knew I would’ve canceled the order. Their ackee n salt fish is so oily, it’s disgusting with no love put into it.

If you’re looking for GOOD Jamaican breakfast. I strongly suggest you go to Dons Caribbean Jerk.

Ordered a pickup order on uber eats. The order was marked completed by restaurant before i entered restaurant to pick. Lady was so rude kept talking on phone. Said i completed the order. Order wasnt even ready. She just wanted free money i guess. But i didnt get the order.

Honestly, where is the zero star rating? I will never support another sunrise again not only has the food declined in quality, but the service is now non-existent to make it even worse. You're overpriced for the portions you serve and I can tell that the owners do not care about the quality of experience in your restaurants

Sunrise has lost its authenticity there is no more Jamaican soul to the restaurant you guys have allowed Indians to take over food is nasty now I would not recommend this food to a dog

Was looking forward to eating some SunRise Caribbean food. I had good experiences in Burlington. As soon as I walked in something seemed off. I decided to use the washroom before ordering. I pushed past a no frills cart in the washroom. Also there was 2 fridge motors in the corner. The soap dispenser on the counter had no pump and as I was going to pour some out I see a dutty cockroach floating around. I walked out and will never be back to this location. They should be shut down permanently.

Tried calling and the number isn't even registered for any location. I wanted to call and ask for an edit on my order and couldn't change online

Don’t eat here. They don’t take care of the location. Everything is dirty, in the front so we can only imagine what the back looks like. If I can do 0 stars I would.

This place is a scam, I ordered 2 x 1 on uber eats. I understand the portions are small to be able to generate money, but they sent me only one and it's small. In addition, I specifically did not ask for gravy in the rice because it was spicy, if I could give it less stars I would. Also the phone is out of service.and the number they have on the website is the number of a lady.very bad.

I'm fighting with Uber now to get some compensation. I ordered a 2 for 1, jerk chicken meal, added on a small red peas soup, a patty and a kola champagne. The soda was the only good thing and I'm not exaggerating!

The red peas soup. I think they put beef and some peas in the chicken stock and sent it over, it wasn't red pea soup! Who's cooking over there.
Never mind the colorless rice n peas, there was a hair in my son's food!

Absolutely Terrible Customer Service. WORST SUNRISE IN BRAMPTON. The woman that I was telling my order to was lazy and said “I’m not tryna do all dat this morning” when I wanted to change my order after she dished it out in a food tray. Why is she at work if she doesn’t want to work. It was a simple fix, All I wanted was to change the provisions for festival because I thought they both came with the breakfast combo, When I asked her questions before hand, she did not articulate her words when I asked her to repeat herself. I was confused when making the order and she did not offer solutions to a customer just trying to enjoy the food. Also We all know what it feels like when your not feeling good at work but don’t act rude or uninterested towards costumers. From that one experience i felt like she hated her job and did not want to be there at all. I made a mistake with my order and she didn’t want to change it back because she’s lazy and incompetent. Please get Better Employees or just shut down the restaurant.

DO NOT GO HERE! Ordered two value meals. I guess the lady was training a new guy and left him there 3 times during the process of getting my order ready. Definitely didn’t set him up for success. He kept getting my order wrong. I was in the store for 30 minutes with no line up. Just terrible service. We were even planning to eat inside. But chose to eat in our cars because the place isn’t clean. Ordered some drinks. They were warm and the lady the said the fridge isn’t working. Just a terrible location to eat at. I don’t normally do reviews but people need to know this location is just terrible.

I write this review with hopes that this business is able recognize they need to improve their management/professionalism. I was surprised that a franchise would deliver such poor customer service and employee training. My family and I spent almost half an hour waiting for food even though the food was already prepared and there was no other customers in the restaurant.

While ordering the person in charge made an unnecessary comment/reaction on the name I used to refer to one of their menu items because it was not Jamaican culture meanwhile she understood what I meant. “Bake or fried dumplin’”. The person in charge notified us that their staff is new. Despite their staff being new, after ringing through our order the new employee failed to wash their hands after handling the till. The new employee was left unattended several times while it was obvious they required guidance. When we received our food it was cold. And our drinks were warm. They have a fridge fully stocked with drinks however it is not working to cool, it’s just for display. With no accommodation of ice. Consider you hard earned money before visiting this place.

This business doesn’t have courtesy for their customers. They take up your money, then your time and leave you with no clean place to sit and eat.

DO NOT GO TO SUNRISE! This was my worst experience and I didnt even order the food. My cousin and Sister wanted to eat here for lunch and it took 30-40 mins to get food and there were no customers in the store. The first order was very simple for a festival a fried dumpling and a piece of jerk chicken the second order was two value meals one jerk chicken and one barbeque chicken with oxtail gravy, we received both orders incorrect.during the process of preparing the order the training employee almost dropped the food. After we pointed out that the orders were incorrect the food was put back into the case, to be served again.
It’s with a heavy heart that I write this review I am a strong supporter of black owned businesses however this franchise needs help. The experience was very unprofessional

The food is mediocre. The service was subpar. They don't listen properly. Not the greatest location.

I order breakfast from here! The food was served HOT. I had small peanut porridge and acke and saltfish with festivals! The porridge was hot and FRESH! And my festival were big and the portion was nicely packaged and very filling. I was so satisified. Will definitely order breakfast from here again!

I was so hungry this was all I could eat. The food always changing. I don’t know who is making the food but it’s so inconsistent. The bleaching lady has poor customer service skills. I was in a rush and wanted some good food. Ugh not coming back.

Will not purchase anything from there again.i m going to drive a little further and go to soupalicious. I foolishly purchased three soups from them. 2 chicken and 1 red pea soup. When i got to work and gave them to the fellow employees that ordered them they were deeply disappointed. You would think at $10.00 a soup you would get chicken in it? My red pea reminded me of the inside of a babies diaper.the soups were relatively not prepared in a quality manner. Citizens of Brampton there just ripping you and me off.please pay closer attention than i did. I should have checked before i left, but why should i have to do that? They should just provide quality food especially for the prices that they are requesting? Good luck in the new year with that kind of business approach to the community.

Disgusting. Unsanitary. Ordered a dinner for lunch and was wildly cramping and ill for hours. Dinner was missing a side of coleslaw as well. If they were out they should've contacted me with available options. I've given up on this franchise.

I should’ve cancelled my order but I was in a rush. The bleacher lady at the front has absolutely NO customer service ability whatsoever. They can’t have her at the front serving people with that nasty attitude! Gross! I even witnessed her yelling at a door dash guy who was simply asking her where the order was smh. I won’t be coming back.

Food is good but very salty. Tried 3 times, all the time it was very SALTY, the goat curry. One of the server has no customer service attitude.

Ordered jerk pork couldn't eat any but four piece and we ordered a pound of it when I say burnt I mean burnt Beyond like a rock couldn't even chew it definitely will be going back to my old ordering place how they can serve food and charge this much is shameful

Amazing friendly service, great food and yes.it was fresh. I was debating going here because I was reading the reviews. I'm telling ya, don't waste your time reading them, just go in and order your food. If you have a pleasant attitude, you'll receive a pleasant attitude in return. I was greeted with a hello straight from the door. I ordered the fried chicken with rice&pea and the bbq. I can't wait till I'm in the area again. Thanks SunRise for great food and service.especially in Brampton.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. This is the 3rd time I have been here and all 3 times I have had poor customer service. I believe in giving a place a fair chance, unfortunately it did not work out.

Also my husband asked about the fry chicken as he wanted to order some on the side the woman said it would be ready in a few, then once she was done with our first order she went in the back and came out a few minuts later rang upnour order and my husband asked about the fry chicken.she said it wont be ready? !

The food portion is poor and not worth the $$. Yes I understand its pricy but should be fair. I will continue to go to the Sunrise at Main and Vodden.

The food is good but it’s too little bit of rice, it’s ashamed to see the amount of food for the price, I love sunrise but can’t feed my family of 5 there. I can go get a big try of fry rice for $40 from the Guyanese restaurant. I cannot bring my family from the states to sunrise with there amount of food they serve. Come on sunrise.rice in scared. Right now ocean have a bag for $5.99. Serve the food, give the people a good plate, people work hard for their money. One thing with Guyanese people don’t hold back on their serving. A lot of Jamaica’s complaining and don’t buy sunrise that I know off.

I’m changing my review to 5 stars because there’s new ownership and I went back after a long time yesterday and it lived up to my expectations

Honestly, there customer service could be better. The server was unable to answer basic questions regarding their items.

There’s been multiple times I have ordered from this place and they forget my coleslaw. I haven’t complained but this is enough. Maybe to them it’s just a small side that no one appreciates but for me I look forward to it. I don’t believe this place is authentic. The roti is plain and the jerk chicken lacks spice. For the price compared to other authentic restaurants I consider it mediocre

If you are in need of some great Jamaican food, that will make you feel like you are still at home, or still on the amazing island of Jamaica, check out this restaurant. I especially love the barbeque chicken and don't get me started with the rice and peas (ps.if they served that alone I would buy it) You will feel at one with your food from the first bite to your last, at which time you will wish you bought two servings.

Tender tender tender curry goat and chicken dishes. Very flavorful.
Meat was never dry. Good value with their combo, although I would like a bit more Coleslaw.
Staff is polite and friendly, sometimes a little shy.
I would go back 100%.

I bought king fish four pics with gravy & bought boneless jerk chicken both items are cold. I gave her money she throw my change on counter not on my hand. This sunrise @ Chinguacousy & queen Brampton. The best sunrise service & food @ airport road and queen Brampton.

Friendly staff and food was better than the Sunrise on Main St. Main street location always seems to run out of menu items they used to have very nice employee at main but they got rid of her which is why I go here now

Very disappointing. Had Jerk Chicken, Rice and Peas with Oxtail Gravy.
Chicken was cold and tasteless. The gravy tasted like a dessert topping.
Must do better. Lots of other places in the area.

I eat oxtail in every corner of toronto and surrounding GTA. But this OXTAIL is the worst I have ever eaten. Small is apparently a large so portion was not a lot and a waste of $19

It saddens me that I have to rate Sunrise so low. My last 3 orders from this restaurant had been delivered wrong. Why? Why do black owned businesses have to struggle to do it right? My order comes missing an entire meal, or my order comes with missing items. Yesterday I called to complain as my order did not match the description online. The worker states she did not know what the description online stated! How can you work their but not know how to fulfill an order? Very sad. In all cases I seem to be the loser as I never get compensated for my loss. I will not order food from Sunrise again.

Didn't actually eat there. Walked in, saw the atmosphere, judged it to be the McD's of Caribbean and left.

My husband and I start our day here everyday after the gym.the staff is so friendly and remember our order. Never miss a day without peanut porridge.
A real West Indian experience.fells just like home!

Ordered from doordash back in early March a breakfast meal saltfish and callaloo the worst I was eating pure oil. I got little to none on top of that with a whole bunch of provisions. I ordered a dumpling and festival on the side I was eating a rock I had to throw out my food worst 20 bucks I ever spent in my life.

Wanted to try a new place as it's so close to my house, but they were out of what I craving (boneless jerk chicken). Not a good first impression. No wonder that place always seems to be empty lately!

Ordered a large jerk pork with rice and peas and oxtail gravy combo with a drink.

The pork was really burnt to the point I couldn’t really eat it, barely any oxtail gravy and it’s a small portion for a “large”.

WORST SERVICE EVER AND TINY PORTIONS! The woman who served me and my girlfriend gave us small portions on two large jerk chicken meals.then told us "No No" when i asked for napkins!? Im taking this up with head office now. I dont know if shes rascist towards White people but her attitude was just horrible.and she picked the smalles chicken pieces!

This is a nice place to buy a take-out or eat-in continental Caribbean cuisine. Healthy foods to grace any occasion.
