Rooms were clean and perhaps newly renovated. Bathrooms were decent. Of course this isn't five star luxury hotel.

A big plus is location being just 5 minutes away from Kingston waterfront as well as Fort Henry. It's in a quiet place.

Great staff really care for the people as if they were their own! Slowly upgrading the property and they show pride in taking care of it.

Awesome, Nithin and Preithy were super kind and helpful during our stay. They went out of their way to help my family. God bless them always.

J'ai choisi cet endroit parce que le petit déjeuner est inclus car avec les enfants il faut s'assurer d'un certain minimum. Je l'ai aussi choisi pour la piscine, toujours à cause des enfants. Mais la piscine n'était pas propre, je comprends que c'est une piscine externe pas toujours évident l'entretien. Sinon la chambre était bien, 2 lits doubles avec un petit salon séparé, le frigo avait une taille satisfaisante. Dans l'ensemble s'était bien.

We booked a room with 3 other friends for our road trip in Ontario. Very convenient location, near Kingston downtown (5-10min). The Room was clean and cosy. Breakfast was good. Staff helped us to repair our flat tire and were very nice and kind. I strongly recommend this place if you plan to stay near Kingston for the night.

For a budget friendly motel, wow, our family of five was very pleasantly surprised with our 2 night stay. The suite was decent and clean, the free breakfast was much more than just a coffee and muffin, and the service was very friendly and attentive. Would go back in a heart beat.

The room was large and clean, also had a great shower. I don't care about having to set up the TV.

Chambre sale, des coulisses sur les murs de la salle de bain. La porte qui ferme mal et qui laisse entrer l'air a -25c, le séchoir non fonctionnel qui sent le brûlé dès qu'on le branche, les oreillers inconfortable. Bref, si vous avez la possibilité d'aller ailleurs, allez-y!

This is a low two stars. The room had been in a better state once. Like a couple years ago. Dirt on the walls, mold in the tub, dust everywhere and the door lock had been forced once (crack in the door and lock was loose). We were afraid of the state of the kitchen so we didn't have our breakfast there. Mattresses were curved in the center and only one pillow by person. We are used to go in super8 but it was kind of creepy. We had a neighbor who left with an alarm going on and on. The service was friendly and it is easy to find. Surrounded by the Canadian Army was reassuring. It's a stop and go kind of place who needs a refresh and a better cleaning.

Quiet and clean rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Will absolutely be going back there again.

Lovely suite, we were just expecting a room. It was very clean. Not too far from the town. The manager was very friendly, and it was a lovely stay.

My husband, myself and 2 kids went to Kingston for a mini vacation and booked the Super 8 for our stay. We weren’t sure what to expect because we knew that Super 8 is a budget friendly motel and other budget motels we have stayed at have had their share of issues. But, when we arrived, we were so pleasantly surprised. The owner upgraded our family to a suite at no extra charge which was so awesome. And, the suite was SPOTLESS. I always check mattresses etc for little critters and everything looked brand new, not a speck of dirt or evidence of anything unpleasant whatsoever. The beds were very comfy and the suite had a great little fridge, microwave and an extra sink which came in handy. The free breakfast was also great and helped get our day going perfectly. The wifi was perfect and the entire motel was clean and welcoming. It has a great little pool and some green space too. Very family friendly. The owner and his family were very pleasant and kind and you can tell they work hard to keep their place in great shape. Thanks so much for the great stay.

Ne donnez pas votre argent à ce Motel médiocre, nous sommes arrivés le 18 juillet, ils nous ont facturé une chambre avec cuisine complète après l'enregistrement, nous avons réalisé que ce n'était pas le cas, quand nous sommes allés parler à la réceptionniste qui a finalement ouvert la vraie chambre que nous avions réservée il y avait un odeur très terrible comme l'odeur de rat dans la chambre.
Il semble que la salle n'a pas été ouverte depuis des mois.
Nous avons demandé à ne rester que la nuit car il faisait déjà nuit dans une chambre ordinaire, ils ont refusé.
Nous avons demandé un remboursement qu'ils ont également refusé, le responsable a déclaré que c'était le problème de Trip Advisor avec nous et l'agent de Trip Advisor a déclaré que non, ce n'est pas celui qui a débité notre carte de crédit, nous avons passé 1h30 à essayer de trouver une solution qu'ils ont refusé.
il indiquait qu'il pleuvait nos 3 enfants étaient dans la camionnette à l'extérieur et ma femme a commencé à se sentir mal et a commencé à vomir, ils s'en fichaient même quand j'ai dit attendez, laissez-moi courir pour ma femme qui est malade et vomit dehors.
Finalement, nous sommes partis le même soir sous la pluie sans remboursement et je suis allé au Mc Donald près de là, ma femme s'est améliorée et nous avons conduit à Montréal le même soir et nous avons dû annuler notre tour de croisière ensuite et annuler toutes les activités familiales.
Terrible expérience, ils ont fait de nos vacances un désastre, heureusement nous avons une maison où retourner même si c'était à 3 heures de route sous la pluie très difficile la conduite sur l'autoroute, mais nous avons pas de choix autre.

Conseil gratuit: Donc, si vous n'avez pas le choix et que vous voulez ou devez y rester, assurez-vous de leur demander de vous montrer la chambre avant le check-in.

Bad Hotel, they are a robbers. They charge different value in your credit card. They are a robber. Bad service. They say to be the best prices but that’s not true. In the page said 352 dollars but they charge 560 dóllar. You do the complaint but they just said. That is no problem of them.

Terrible service we got there on July 18th, they charge us for a room with full kitchen after check-in we realized that it was not, when we go and speak to the receptionist who finally open the real room that we have booked there was a very terrible smell like rat's smell in the room.
It seems like the room was not opened for months.
We asked to stay only night since it was already night in a regular room they refused.
We asked for a refund they have also refused, the manager stated that it's trip advisor's problem with us and trip advisor's agent stated that no they are not the one who has charged our credit card, we spent 1h 30minutes trying to find a solution they have refused.it stated raining our 3 kids were in the van outside and my wife started feeling bad and started to vomit they didn't even care when I said hold let me run for my wife who is sick and vomiting outside.
Finally we left same night under the rain without the refund and I went to Mc Donald close there, my wife got better and we drove to Montreal same night and we had to cancel our tour cruise tour next and cancel all family activities.
Terrible experience, they have made our vacation a disaster, fortunately we have a home to go back to even 3 hours away
Advice: So if you have no choice and you still want or have to stay there, make sure you ask them to show you the room first, before check-in.

Just stayed here Friday night (Aug 12 - Aug 13) for one night with two rooms. The lock on my father-in-laws room (room 114) was broken so the employee had to climb through the window to open the door. We had to keep the door open when leaving the room to go to our vehicle. The toilet did not work and there was long hair all over the bathroom floor. Our room (115) had broken locks on the window, which was uncomfortable to me for being on the main level of the building. The carpet was also ripped behind the door. Overall, the rooms had an odd smell and were outdated. We wished the employess would have offered other rooms, but we assumed this was all they had. We had been driving for 14 hours, so we left the concerns until the morning. I addressed these concerns calmly the Saturday morning hoping to get some type of compensation as the rooms were not safe. I even noted i dont expect the FULL amount back, but maybe half on one of the rooms? I get covid times are tough, but safety if top priority for me especially being on the main level. I spoke to both employees at the front desk (who will show up in their PJs - perhaps they live in the building behind the front desk I'm assuming) and they said they don't deal with complaints I have to call the owner. Which I did while standing there and in all fairness he did apologize and noted the locks on the windows are broken cause he gets a lot of people from Europe who don't know how to unlock them so he doesn't bother fixing them. At the end of it all I was compensated $30, which I took without argument and appreciated, however the rooms are not worth $179.99 a night with those kinds of issues unfortunately in my opinion. The employee at the desk could have cared less, did not apologize, did not even say a word to me walking out of the building after receiving my $30 refund.

I will note as I was calling hotels while we were on the road from out east, the owner called me back to give me a discount rate from $199 to $179 which I did appreciate the effort, however super 8 will never have our business again and when people on these reviews tell you to stay away from a place, please believe them. Pay the extra $30-$50 or even the $199 rate to stay somewhere else. I am very disappointed with the lack of customer service from the staff and the fact that they could care less about the issues I raised.

Amazing place very clean most comfortable bed I've ever slept in very friendly people the place is very looked after clean outdoor pool. Will stay here again for sure.

This motel is the dirtiest motel I’ve ever been to! Looked between mattress and box spring as always do to check for bed bugs, sure enough there was bugs! Bedding was stained, hair all over, pillows even had stains on them. Mattress didn’t even come with fitted sheets just a sheet thrown over top of sheet. Was a horrid experience of a dirty place to stay. Needless to say we didn’t even end up sleeping at this Motel found one for $30 more and was in MINT condition.

Was a good value for price. Our room needed some updates as the window lock did not work and the toilet needed to be rebolted to the floor. Good for on a budget. Have drive up rooms. Free breakfast. Have a nice family area and a pool.

I booked 2 rooms 2 weeks in advance and had to call and cancel 4 days before my check in date due to Covid. I was advised that they do not allow cancellations and that I was going to be charged in full, which I was. I was then told if I could provide a doctors note stating I had covid then I could possibly be refunded. I received the note from my doctor which I paid $20 for and sent it to them and they still said I had to pay in full. Horrible service!

Clean. Curtain can be shortened so that the hot/cold air wouldn't be blocked from accessing the room, making the AC more energy efficient. It would be nice if the AC didn't make so much noise.

Good value for your money. Clean. Front staff nice. Grab n go breakfast. Rooms need updating. Beds comfy. A quiet place to sleep.

Did not have room available that I had booked two days in advance. They did not attempt to contact me about the issue. They never sent room service by during my stay to change garbage bins or top up free amenities such as coffee, toiletries. Office was empty when I arrived and I had to wait 15 minutes for check in. Heaters would come on sporadically even when turned off. Television remote broken. Paint peeling. Dirty shower curtain. Dirty toilet.

Pet friendly. Clean rooms, powerful heater, big bathtub. Excellent customer service. Minutes away from grocery stores & fast food. Would definitely recommend to friends or family staying in Kingston.

Un petit déjeuner spartiate: café, pomme, jus et mini muffins pour les enfants avec une petite barre de céréales. Heureusement pour moi c'était pour nuit. Ne faites jamais la même erreur que moi.

This may not be a 5 star hotel but the customer service is 5 star. Nice and friendly for a family. There is a bbq grill (walk with bbq meat) and a picknic area.

Couldn't explore the nearby location much as we reached late night maybe around 1 am, but the guy at the reception wal pretty helpful during check-in at that time of the hour as well.so kudos to that.

Our room was booked in advance, and when we arrived we got a dirty room. Their service is poor, dirty area and stairways, rooms smell, unfriendly stuff, I do not recommend this motel, SHAME ON YOU SUPER 8!

My kids and I booked the night before for a two-night escape, and were pleasantly impressed. When we got there, we were upgraded to a suite, gratis. The suite was spotless, and everything was in working order. The bedding was clean, new, and there were even feather pillows. The two TVs and kitchenette were a nice addition. The separated bedroom came in handy as I had to work late one of the nights, and didn't disturb my kids' sleep. The management and staff at the hotel were very kind, courteous, and knowledgeable of the area and guided us as needed. The hotel is located right outside of downtown, next to CFB Kingston. Safe area, and close enough to downtown/Fort Henry where my young kids and I could easily bike there from the hotel.

Owner/Manger Raj is a good yet reasonable man. Rooms had kitchenettes and were clean. Everytime I asked for something it was given to me immediately. I've been staying here for about a month th and would recommend it to anyone!

While the room size was good, several issues. It was not clean, stained sheets, dirty microwave, stained couch. We didn't end up staying the rest of the 2 days we booked.unacceptable. Room was not made up after the first night. Also had to ask for clean towels and garbage removal.

We stoped on our way home for a night stay and we ended up just leaving.room was a mess! The bed had what I’m hoping wasn’t human feces.the room smelled horrible! My husband went to the counter and stood for about 15 mins no one came so we just left and key on the desk and left I wouldn’t recommend and I will not be back.

Raj the owner was very occomodating, friendly and always willing to make sure everyones stay is enjoyable. We will be back again. We loved it here. Pet friendly. Close to everything. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated. We had a room with a stove so that was super nice as we were able to cook a few nice meals during our stay. Did I say we loved it there? Well we did, we loved it.

I was wary of staying here from the stories I have heard. But Raj has done everything to keep the trouble maker away. I spent two months here for work purposes and never seen or heard anything to complain about. Raj and the dtaff were always friendly and very accommodating.

This was by far the best hotel on my Roadtrip so far. The room was very clean, the air conditioner worked, the room smelled nice, the bathroom and tub were sparkling clean, it had everything working and the artwork inside the room was exceptional. I felt quite at peace, and the bed was very, very comfortable. I will be staying here again when I come through Kingston once more.

Honestly, the hotel and accommodations are fine; however, the manager, Raj Patel has been extremely rude and lacks fundamental understanding of basic customer service. When arriving at the hotel for us to check in, Raj blatantly acted rude and unaccommodating towards us when we requested for two towels. Raj's excuse was "it's too late into the night, and I do not want to get it right now". His general attitude and apathy towards us was unacceptable. I've been to many hotels and I've never experienced such terrible services. Please avoid this hotel any cost. Just sleep in the car.

My first time in a super 8 and a bit hesitant. Place was cleaner, spacious, and better then I thought. Highly recommend this very well maintained place for your stay sry a great price!

This was a surprise, I wasn't expecting much as we booked last minute and just needed a quick place to stay. Staff was super friendly and helpful, the rooms were really clean and modern and they have a beautiful outdoor pool area with bbq's.

Clean rooms. Really convenient layout as well as we had a toddler with us. We could watch tv in the front room while our son slept. Bed and pillows were really comfortable. Full sized fridge would be great for people staying for a week or longer. The staff were friendly and very accommodating allowing us to check in a bit early to put our son down for a nap. Would definitely stay again!

We had to book this property last minute and from start to finish was highly impressed. Beds, pillows and room were very clean and comfortable. The staff were more than accommodating, very responsible and available for just about anything. They brought bananas to our room after we slept through breakfast and even had almond milk! Very, very impressed and would happily, with pleasure book this property again.

I had a good experience at this motel. The room was clean, outside was well kept. I only stayed there one night but people were taking advantage of the BBQ area beside the outdoor pool, something that I would have appreciated if I had my family with me. It was also nice to have the door to the room right beside my car, making it easy to bring my bike in the room. A no frills place for someone to stay on a budget. I would stay here again at the price.

Absolutely horrible staff extremely rude. They change there prices over night from $74 to $109. Suddenly they informed us we required a $450 deposit to stay a second night. Then they stood at our room with the door wide open on a freezing cold day to make us pack while my bf was still half naked after a shower. Never stay here

Very clean room had to ask them to make coffee at 8 at the continental breakfast bar even though reviews before us stated the same issue, we had the same experience and they blamed it on other staff. Coffee is pretty important in a breakfast bar.
