Super 8 by Wyndham Parry Sound/Sequin

Customer service at the front desk wasn’t good, got bit while I slept there for the night. When I reported this to front desk there was a sense of not caring (it left me with the impression they deal with bugs quite often). Would rather sleep in my truck next time then sleep in the rooms they provide.

Love the pool / hot tub both spotless and great front staff.rooms are really great for the money, clean, and good deals! Updated 2022 review of new management. Lots of enthusiasm and staff is very passionate about getting the hotel renovated and comfortable for guests. It's starting to look like a destination resort with lots of activity potential for 2022 summer - walking bike trails, outdoor pool and tennis courts. The food menu is amazing and there is entertainment and bands some weekends.

The room was clean and the fireplace was cozy, but the tv/cable was limited. Also, the wifi did not reach our room, which is a big downside! The bed/pillows were also uncomfortable.

Not the best place you want to lounge.
During covid, there is no breakfast served. The heater in my room took a few hours to warm up, the volume bottom on my remote control wasnt working. The service is just ok

My stay was amazing because The staff are all very respectful and then follow covid protocols there room are Cleaned very well and i would totally come back to this hotel again

Great hotel, very comfortable and super clean bed. Ansh was very nice. We arrived late and he offered us breakfast to go the following day. The hotel is very well situated. You won't hear the highway. Will return for sure.

Room was properly cleaned as was my bathroom. The staff service was superb, dining area clean and the food was finger licking. Huge parking space, nice squash courts and gym. I'm already thinking about booking again for the holidays

Traveled all the way from Waterloo to Parry sound with friends. Great place to hang out with your friends. Great place to cook food and even barbecue outside. Had great time.

It is a place to rest for one night. For a similar price rate I have stayed in much nicer places, but they're usually near major cities. This is a Motel, and needs updating. The mattresses are not great, but serve the purpose, and the pillows small - but at least you have pillows and the bedding was clean. The bathroom needs new flooring, tubs and surrounds (cracked tiles) - and the shower head was a basic $6 model, the towels were clean but either well-worn or cheap quality. The vanity counter was nice granite but the sink and taps older for some reason. The rooms amenities are acceptable - mini-fridge, microwave, coffee/tea, hairdryer, flat screen TV, working HVAC, and best of all NO signs of pests or bedbugs. Basic continental breakfast, utensils were dirty so we used plastic forks with two clean knives we could find, only one serviette was left so we split it. The do-it-yourself waffle maker was the highlight. There only seems to be one staff person working the front desk at any time and they have to look after the breakfast area. If you get a good rate and the location is convenient, then it's OK for an overnight stay; however the pictures are somewhat false advertising.

Room was ok and roomy! Beds was good, but I don't know what they are thinking with square pillows. Was a bit uncomfortable, but had a good sleep. Washroom was ok and roomy. Towels needs to be replaced (They are old and worn out). There are one descent sized pool inside and a jacuzzi. Breakfast was horrible and is the worst I have ever seen in any hotel or motel anywhere! Also the breakfast hall itself was not clean and there was a lot of mess (garbage/storage?) in one side of the hall.
This place is in dire need of more qualified people and better management to be honest! They don't know what they are doing! There is a lot to be done here with regards to maintenance, cleanliness and updates. There also used to be a restaurant and a bar here before and now it's just empty and forgotten. Doesn't seem like they know what to do with that space.
I will never return and will not recommend anyone to come here!

Front desk gave very inaccurate information. Charged two different credit cards two times. Upon calling the front desk to address this issue, I got the response "Can I take your number? I'll call you back" and he refused when I asked if he could jot down the two dates so that he can look up the charges on his system. So customer service was lacking.

Upon walking into the room, it was extremely humid and damp. There was a very particular smell to the room, possibly mold. ACs were more like fans and you weren't able to control them besides turning it on or off. Lastly, the fitness center is also very dirty. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned since they first got the equipment. I usually do not write reviews but of my entire road trip to Canada from the U. S, this place was by far the worst one.

Advertised 2 pools and a restaurant. Had a nice indoor pool, outdoor pool was closed by looks permanent. Restaurant was gone, had to drive all the way to Parry Sound for food.
Service at the motel was good and they are pet friendly. Continental breakfast was good as well.

Booked in, reserved a queen suite. The first room's chain lock was none existing (broken) on the outside door. The second room's bolt lock was none existing (broken as well) on the door leading to the hallway. Third room had a single door with a working lock.went to use the toilet and the seat was splattered with s#! @, and the tissues were not restocked. They did come in and clean the toilet and restock the tissues, but no one should be subjected to such unpleasantries. It is unfortunate, but there is definitely a lack of care and concern!

We have stayed in other Super8's and never in this condition. Property and room left to be desired. I could write on one of the tables in the lobby. Breakfast is a farce. A muffin doesn't constitute a breakfast. Stay away.

The only thing I have to complain about is the pillows they are so small. This makes them get stuck in between the bed and the head board. The wifi is very in and off so if wifi is a necessity for you this may not he the best option. But on the good side the lady at the front desk let us eat food even after the breakfast hours. She is also very kind and helpful.

Hotel was very nice and clean and the view of the forest from the window is very nice, the staff is too good especially the guy at the front desk "amandeep sharma". He really knows how to do the work.nice hotel to be in.

Inclusive breakfast was awful. No plates, bowls or cutlery. The tables and countertops were absolutely disgusting. Asked the front desk man for a cloth to wipe a table and he said wait. No food options except cereal and waffles, which was nasty dirty! Unfortunately this is a lasting memory so i would not go back, nor recommend anyone to stay.

Just barely ok. There was a very musty smell everywhere in the hotel, our room had a very large green stain right inside the door, there was a small blood stain on the top sheet on the bed, there was no shower head in the shower, the towels were clean but also had stains. There was some type of leak in the bathroom, as the floor was all wet when we arrived. The carpet felt.sticky and damp.
There was only one ice machine in between 2 buildings, and it didnt wven work. When I wanted to use the TV, I had to unplug the Microwave and mini fridge, and vise versa when I wanted to use the microwave.
Only plus I can really give it, is that there was very good parking for our truck and trailer.

This is clearly a older hotel that has not been keep up with. The pictures you see online do not show what it really is like. The outdoor pool is a over grown fenced in pool with no water just scum. The play ground is over grown and covered in dog poop. The grounds are all over grown and unkept. If you are placed in the second building be prepared to walk into the halls that smell of a strong aroma of marijuana. It is obvious there are long term renters in this building that are growing plants in their room and have no respect for other visitors coming to stay. They lit up their weed at 3: 30 am setting off the smoke alarm. When we went to the front desk to see if they were aware the alarm was going off. (15 minutes of going off already) There was zero concern. No staff came to check the building or to ensure it was evacuated for guest safety. We had our 1 year old with us and there was no care for how our stay was ending. We ended up checking out at 4am. And that it’s self seemed to be difficult to do as he could find our reservation. Save yourself the time and money and book else where!

Only giving this two stars because the rooms were clean and the pool was nice.
Staff had zero concern for the safety and well-being of their guests, after informing them multiple times of an ongoing situation & stating we were scared (for ourselves and someone else) there only response was to "ask them to keep it down". Procedures should be in place for specific situations, but it seemed as if they couldn't be bothered to ensure that everything was alright & make us feel more safe in our surroundings. Definitely won't be staying there again.

This place needs to be condemned. My work put me up here, legit scared for my life it’s so sketchy. It is dirty, bed bugs as well. I lasted 2 hours before leaving. Do not stay here under any circumstances. Sleeping outside in the forest would be an upgrade from this dump.

Play squash here occasionally. Courts are decent but one of them often has junk stored in it. Located right beside pool so very hot and humid. Carpet outside courts is so wet that you can't even sit down on it. Staff often seems pretty uninterested in providing friendly service. Will continue to come here because a small town in Northern Ontario doesn't have many options for squash courts!

Have stayed here a few times. Looking forward to our next stay here coming this summer.staff is great, rooms are always clean and comfortable.great location as it's very close to highway

Room was clean, decent. Parking lot and driveway was TERRIBLE not plowed or taken care of considering it was late March and was snowing more during our stay. The pool, hot tub and sauna was nice. Continteal breakfast wasnt too shabby either. Definetely a decent place for the price!

- Charged xtra $15 for each of my 2 small dogs which isn't specified on booking websites which state " Pet Friendly "
-Pool was closed during posted open hours (definitely a let down for my kids)
-Dirty caked on waffle iron although we were the first ones to visit the "continental breakfast ""
I suppose the room gave us more space than staying in the car tho.

The service was excellent. I wasn't satisfied with my room so I was given a new room that exceeded my expectations considering the hotel is renovating. Thank you for making my stay comfortable and affordable. Will stay again if needed.

We received wonderful customer service from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. It is hard to find a location that has both a pool and is dog friendly so we were very happy to find this place. The room was clean and everything worked as it should. This place was perfect for what my family needed but if you are someone that is looking for an upscale location this may not be for you.
