Superstore Bakery

Bright, clean, and well spaced isles in bakery. Aside from the cakes in the case and daily baked breads & such, this bakery has basically the same items as the No Frills, and cost more. Many packages are opened and partially consumed. It's difficult to get any assistance in the bakery. The staff in the bakery usually run the other way when they are customers coming.or they claim don't speak English.just stocking baked goods and can't help it know anything about other baked goods. Many times the item I need is not on the shelf and they have to get it from the freezer in the back.are you selling goods or warehousing?

I often come here for the strawberry shortcake. It has been consistently delicious. Also the stuff has always been courteous and respectful. However they are not always the most knowledgeable about the ingredients that are in the cakes. For example, there was one time I was thinking of branching out andnd picking up a few cupcakes instead and needed to ensure that I did not pick up anything with caramel as I would be giving them to somebody that was allergic to caramel. Unfortunately, the staff behind the counter did not know if there was any caramel in the cupcakes and did not offer to check when asked. Apart from this, I can say that cakes are consistently fresh and delicious.

Staff were not wearing their face masks properly, bags were not available at self checkout and 4 or 5 members per family and social distancing rules were not enforced.

U can get some good fresh products. Customize cake available aswell. The bread and nice spongy n fresh. A good variety of bakery goods.

Shopping carts are limited and not sanitized. You just grab one right after someone return their shopping carts

Good grocery store with a wide variety for choosing from. But with higher prices in comparison with other stores. You may see this difference in all kind of goods.

Well, I traipsed through the bakery. Not too many sales; at another store I frequent they usually discount bread they baked earlier that day, but not here.

Am curious as to why only the bakery is reviewed. This bakery is just one open section of the store.

Competitive prices, better than other grocery stores. You can even find halal meat here, so that was surprising for me. Confectionery items are freshly made. And wide range of items are found. Must visit.

This has been my go to grocery store for the past 15 years or so. I moved and now use the Ajax location more often, but I still work in the area.

Overall the prices are good. However they often have past due items on their shelves. On more than one occasion the meat I have bought has gone bad within a day.

My biggest issue is how they are dealing with safety during Covid. The security guard (if they are at the entrance) rarely has their mask on and doesn't seem to pay attention. There are no one way isles. I have seen people routinely take their masks off in store. The only precaution is they get you to socially distance line up to check out. But while you are in the store I usually go in and out as fast as possible. The cashiers are friendly and helpful.

The pharmacy here is fantastic. They really get to know you as a person and take an interest in your health.

The third time returning an outdated item is what made me rate this store. I hate the fact that i have to keep coming back just to return items. Yes, I take responsibility for not checking the expiry date but WHY would you sell expired items. Please look at the photos for more info. I'm sick of dealing with you guys.
