Came in today, looking for some funiture for my new place. Found a few things I liked. Noticed the lady working there when I walked in the door, hiding behind her sunglasses and didn't even say hi. Whatever, told her I'll like to purchase some things, she was so rude pretended like she didn't hear me, then acted as if I was bothering her. Told me nothing was coming till next month and acted as if I somehow was inconvenience her at work.never have I ever experienced something like this. Wouldn't recommend buying from this place when they hire employees who clearly don't care about coustmer service. I did tell the worker that I would be leaving a review about her service, she then followed me into the parking lot recording me getting into my car. I've never in my life felt so intimated buying furniture.

I recently went to the trafalgar st location to buy a bed, couch and dresser. A young lady named Tabatha helped me find everything i needed and was a absolute pleasure to deal with. She wasnt pushy as far as finding items i needed and she had a great sense of humor. She was absoulutely lovely to deal with. The prices were quite fair and the staff were awesome. I would definitely recommend going to this location. Ask for Tabetha and i guarantee you will be satisfied with the service she provides and the selection of merchandise

I definitely would not recommend this store to anyone. I purchased a simple mattress protector and upon getting it home discovered that it was damaged (about 2-3 inches of stitching were missed during the manufacturing so there was a gaping hole around the zipper). We returned the item to the store the same day along with the receipt and the? Manager? Outright refused to exchange the item or refund our money. Infact he chose to argue with us as opposed to simply replacing the damaged item. There are too many other stores to shop at to put up with ignorant and disrespectful shop managers. Go ANYWHERE ELSE to purchase.

I would not recommend purchasing furniture from here and I highly do NOT recommend purchasing the warranty. I purchased a reclining sofa just over a year ago, and right after the 1 year mark a rip occurred on one of the recliners. At first I wasn't worried as I had purchased the add-on warranty. It quickly went downhill after that. I contacted the third party company in charge of the warranty through their online form. It said someone would reach out in 2-3 days. Two weeks later still nothing, so I phoned them. Apparently their system was down the day I contacted them, so they had me email them instead. A few days later they replied that the claim was rejected as the rip was unknown. The rip occurred from closing the recliner. I'm still in the process of writing back and forth with the service company to understand why they would help if I manually damaged the sofa by cutting it, but won't help in the case of the using the sofa properly. I reached out to Surplus to get help or see if money could be returned for what appears to be a useless warranty and to get a copy of the terms and conditions I never received, and I was told they wouldn't help, wouldn't send the terms, and to deal with the other company. It's unfortunate the lack of customer care and service. I will definitely be going to the competitors in the future. Please be aware if you're hoping for more.

I got a bedroom set and when they dropped it off they said we owed 85 dollars for delivery and then change it to 95 after we payed 15.oo dollars for the furniture called the supperviser to call me and never called will never shop there again

One star is generous i bought a mattress with extended warranty I remember clear as day "Sarah" who coincidentally doesn't work there anymore told me no matter what happens i can exchange my mattress and now the bed is flat like the springs have stopped working and they won't let me exchange my $500 mattress, I wouldn't have spent so much had I known I couldn't exchange it, rip off I will never buy another surplus furniture product.

You can't browse their website, you must select a store before you browse products. Obviously, if you live in a central area and have the choice of buying from several stores, this is obstructive and a waste of time. Deterrent website.

As a side note Leon's made us wait for 3 months on a sectional
They could not deliver on.every month we phoned Leon s to check the status of the couch and there were no updates long story short they offered a sale they could not deliver on
We had only put a deposit down
But the customer service said.well if you put the full amount down it might speed it up.lol just crooked business

Bought an Ashley couch and chair the end of July 2021. By the beginning of November, 2021, the chair was sinking on one side making sitting in it uncomfortable, so I called the store. They asked that I send pictures of the serial number and to show what was happening (but were unable to tell me where the serial number is on the chair) I sent all on November 15th. When I got no reply, I called again and a few days later got a reply stating that my email went to spam, but they would forward the information to warranty department. Fast forward to February 2022. It has been almost 3 months, and after alot of back and forth emails, all I get is "we have not received anything from the warranty department yet, but we will call when we do". I spent quite a bit on the chair and am beyond frustrated! I should not have to wait 3 months, over a defect. I am so tired of the run around. What really frustrates me is that we sent 2 daughters there as well, who also bought furniture, because of the deals and service we recieved. I hope they don't run into any issues like I have.
Good price, good service up to purchase.but if you end up with issues.nothing.
So much for warranty. At this rate, my warranty will be over before I hear back and all I have is an expensive very uncomfortable chair!

I came to this London location today from Windsor. Called yesterday and spoken to a rep named cris asked him about the price of mattress on their flyers and I was told that the king sized boxes aren’t available but mattress is. I told him that I have a 2 hr drive to their location and I want to make sure our purchase will go smooth. But things went upside down when I came to their store today. The mattress price was completely different from the price in flyer. The price at their store jusy alone for the matter was $1298 on the other hand on flyer it was $930 for both mattress and box. I showed the sales guy the flyer but he just completely ignored it at the end nothing worked out even they didn’t try anything to make the experience better. I asked him I can pay for the mattress and some deposit for the box as when the box arrives I can pick it up "no joy". The store manager didn’t bother to jump in to fix the situation. Complete waste of my time and gas.

Paid 2400$ for a bed. Told me I'd have it in a week. It's been 45 days still don't have it. Today I ask for a refund and they tell me they can't give me one and I have to go through corporate? Crooks. Take your money and don't deliver and make a refund next to impossible

The store staff is very helpful and friendly. The prices are very good. Nice furniture. The delivery was on time. The only negative for me was the company and the guys delivering the furniture to a retirement home where my aunt was moving on Monday. All they wanted was their $100 cash.they didn’t take any of the wrapping or cardboard away, didn’t assemble any of the furniture.the guy didn’t understand English and they apparently were very rude to the staff. The female staff who works in maintenance and help with housekeeping had to pick up one of the chairs and carry it on her BACK! If I had known all of that, I would have hired my own movers!

“same day delivery” is very limited as they do not have most items in stock. Therefore you can pay everything upfront and STILL have to wait weeks for your furniture. As if you did layaway. Also some items come from other furniture stores in town like Ashley furniture and some from farther like from Calgary Alberta, which requires a train-which means a longer waiting time for you. I waited a month and a half for my couch and I got so fed up, I had to switch to something else so I could get it sooner. (So I don’t have what I originally paid for). And I would still be waiting as it was expected to ship November 15 or 16.

Long story short, just make sure what you’re buying is in stock to prevent a headache and frustration.

I had coffee table and end tables on order. After I received delivery of my living room furniture I realised the tables would never fit. I called and Chad canceled my order and refunded me my money o questions asked.
Marcus was great when I purchased my furniture not pushy at all let me browse and take my time; answering any questions I had. Highly recommend, very pleased so far.

Needed furniture fast and easy during Covid lockdown. They stepped up and had an apartment furnished with 24 hours. The quality was good for the price paid. When something was missed, no problems. Resolved immediately. Third party does delivery, and don't expect much from them. Don't let that discourage you. The folks at the store in London were helpful and stood behind everything they promised. Will definitely shop there again.

Terrible! We bought a sectional, (paid in full). We were very much pressured into getting the warranty for it, considering we have children. The one we wanted wasnt in stock so we were pressured into getting a different one. They assured us the cushions dont come off easily as well as good quality and good structure.

Well less than a year later, 4 months before our warranty was up. Our sectional ended up tearing at a seam, (not due to any child, just regular use). Tried contacting, they asked for us to send them a picture and they will send someone to come look at it and replace it.

That was back in January that we spoke and i sent the picture, with no response back. Our warranty is up in a couple days. We're SOL with our sectional that we bought money up front.

Dont waste your money! We are very VERY disappointed in the games, lying, and poor management from both London and Chatham location (which is now closed)

Bought my couch and loveseat and my bed from here. Salesman were wonderful. Kinda felt at home, no pressure to make a sale. They were more than happy to just let my husband and his buddy hang out. Delivery guys the next day were just as great. Very respectable of my home and took shoes off. Had an issue with the loveseat day one and they sent a guy out right away and fixed it. Definatly will go back for future purchases

Totally disappointed. Paid 75.00 to have a bed and easy chair delivered. They didn't say they were doing moving jobs before they delivered. When they delivered they just dropped the box with the chair and didn't unwrap to inspect it for damage. This furniture was for my brother in law who is 74 years old. He asked them to take apart box and put back on chair. They then charged him another $25.00.totally taking advantage of the situation. I would not recommend them at all.

Worst experience I have ever had. Purchased a King size bed (almost $1000) We purchased a King size bed from this company on November 16. We were sold the raised slats and were advised that by purchasing these we would not require the box springs. There would be about one inch from the top of the bed rails to the slats. This would elevate our bed to approximate the same level as it would with the box springs.
We put the bed together the same day and contacted the store the following day to advise that the slats were not, in fact, raised but were about 4-5 inches less than we anticipated and we would still need the box springs to reach the level we wanted. I asked them for an email so I could send a picture.
I sent the picture and sent 3 follow up emails and sent messages on Facebook as well and have yet to hear back from anyone. We were also blocked on Facebook. This is the level of professional decorum this business has.
We paid extra for the raised slats as they replaced the need for box springs but we still need to buy the box springs in order to raise the mattress to the desired height. This is not what we requested, nor was it what we were assured we would be getting. Do yourself a favor - stay away from this business.

This place was absolutely brutal. If you have a problem with your purchase these people are not very helpful. We purchased a couch and love seat which was ripped when delivered. It was a whole fiasco after that trying to get things settled. I would definitely not recommend this establishment to anyone looking for furniture. Pay the extra money and go to a reputable company.

I would actually like the owner or the district manager to actually call me I'm so disgusted with the service I have been given as it states on the website there is no time limit on their layaway I've had to deal now with 5 different people their turnover in employees is awful my couch went on clearance they called me and told me it has been discontinued and is on clearance I was told that I had 2 weeks to pick it up ummmm I was not given the clearance price as it states on the webpage that customers will get the lowest price if it does I was also told that if something goes on clearance and I dont come and get it they will sell it to someone else and I then have to go in and pick another choice and do an upscale I've already had this happen to the recliner I got then the 1st couch I got it was sold to someone else and they made me come in and pick another couch that I had no choice but to pick a higher priced item then what I originally picked the manager that I had to deal with today was out right disgusting i went in to explain that i was not happy with my service and what had happened from the very beginning of my layaway as he was not the manager or salesperson i dealt with from the start and he cut me off wouldnt let me talk he said he gets to speak then i can talk cause the person who had called me first is no where near professional either it's pretty bad a customer has to tell the employees how the layaway works I was then told if I dont get out of his store he was calling the police I wanted a refund for the disgusting service I've had thus far my stuff could be on layaway a year and there is nothing they can do as it states on the website no limit of how long you need they sell your furniture to other customers and then call you and tell you to come and pick something else out at a higher price then I had the 2 guys behind the counter attacking me then they had 2 more guys come from the back are you kidding me i asked for the number to the district manager and said cant you read it's on the wall and that was the Rude manager he said it was his store what he says goes oh I said do you own this store and he said no and I said then it's not your store nor is it your business I'm completely disgusted with the service I have gotten and how they have sold my furniture that I came in and picked out and put money down on and put on layaway it also states the customer can put whatever they want as a payment every 2 weeks clearly that's not the case either I was told to get out of the store and to never come back ummmm that is not gonna happen if you are not giving me a refund I'm not rich your not getting $500 of my money and I'm just gonna walk away that is not gonna happen I was told that if I didnt have 50% of my furniture paid for and it was discontinued and put on clearance they can sell it to someone else and I would have to pick something else so if I went to Walmart and I got a TV and put it on layaway and put money down on it that they could take it off laway and sell it to someone else that is absoluetly disgusting when my couch was discontinued and put on clearance i got a phone call and was told if i did not come and get it in 2 weeks and pay full price they couldnt guarantee me it would still be there however no clearance price was given to me at all i went in today cause again i got another phone call about my couch and I was done had to speak to yet another new manager and it was very disgusting and rude I cannot believe this is what customers have to deal with they gave me $200 off my couch however as of right now I still do not know what the clearance price was I asked for it but was not given it as he stated it's his store he will do what he wants if customers dont like it they can leave first off if you are dealing with a very unhappy customer over the crap they have had to deal with since the start of their layaway they should be doing what they can to make the customer happy I have still yet to speak to the district manager or anyone above the ones I've had to deal with

This place is very nice the people here are very easy to talk to and also very helpful they knew what they were talking about I must say though for a liquidation place the process seemed a little high they should have had a lot lower prices but other than that it is a great place to go if you are looking furnature or a bed

It took 4 weeks to get my furniture when I was originally told a few days.
So when they delivered the furniture, they do not unwrap it all and help u put it in place.
I ordered a sectional which was so hard for me to unwrap and place that I had to get my neighbour to help me.
Then I call a couple months later to get someone to come over to fix stitching that is coming apart and I am told that I have to take pictures including the serial number on the bottom of the sectional couch.
This is not an easy procedure. I paid fir this extra protection and this is the hassle I have to go through.
I would have to move stuff around to make room, unhook the adjoining piece and try to flip up which is going to take at least 3 people to take a picture of something they have on file.
Think twice people about buyung from here.
I paid $65 delivery charge which I also didn't know about until after I had purchased the set.

My couch was to be delivered on Jan. 29th. I was called and told the truck broke down. It was then to be delivered the next day and they showed at 7: 15 and the couch did not fit through my door. Today I went back to the store and picked out a couch that will fit (originally the one I wanted but is on back order). I would like to commend and thank Chad, Jae and Matt at the Trafalgar & Highbury store in London who were all equally friendly, honest and compassionate.

I want to share my experience. On 2018 December we thought of getting some new furnitures for my new home's basement. The first guy was so helpful and helped me to select the perfect one for us. And planned our delivery date on few days before christmas and some unpleasant events with the delivery. Finally when it reached and didn't go through the basement door. And unfortunately, I decided to go to the store again for the exchange. I could have completely cancelled the order. But I really impressed with the first salesman. That made me to go there again but he was not with the company any more. So as usual we started with the other salesman. When we decided on one style we asked for the similar model. And some other guy came to us and told he is the real BOSS. He seems to be so arrogant and disrespectful. My husband and his family was with me. It happened one day before christmas eve. I never ever recommand this store to any of my friends. Its a good store but my experience was very bad.
