Just bought an amazing couch today and have nothing but good things to say! Paul greeted us right away and was not pushy or overbearing but rather gave us the space to make a decision. The quality of the couch is top tier, super soft, comfortable and well made. We got delivery same day from their super friendly movers Corey and Josh, who called us 10min before they got there (just enough warning) and quickly brought up our new purchase to our apartment. After shopping around for a while, I am so happy we ended up purchasing from Surplus. Definitely the best price and quality!

We just purchased a sofa and loveseat set as well as a new mattress. Surplus Furniture has a great selection of quality furniture and the price is definitely the best around. Above all that, the best part of our experience was the customer service. We had the pleasure to deal with Paul and Caleb for our sale. Both of them had great knowledge of the products and were a super help picking out the right furniture for us. We also dealt with Paul for setting up delivery time and keeping in touch, making sure we were totally satisfied with our purchase. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend going there. The best furniture store! 11/10!

We had a great experience with the staff and the manager Shawn selecting our sectional sofa for the living room. Shawn and the staff were very helpful and friendly as we made our selection. Unfortunately, on delivery we discovered there was a mix up with the measurements (100% on our end) but Shawn was super understanding and we were able to exchange for another sofa set and he even managed to get them delivered the same day.

Absolutely fantastic team! Will recommend to friends in the future and we will be back for any other houseware purchases.

Great service at the Belleville location and lots of excellent selections in couches, good quality and styles, very affordable prices. We got a sectional and also an additional loveseat, plus a mattress. Next day delivery and the movers did a good job bringing in the furniture and placing them where we asked. James helped us out from the get go and we were excited finding some nice quality couches and not having to wait months to receive them like the big box stores. Thank you James and the surplus furniture team.

Husband and I went looking for a sofa and loveseat set. Found an awesome one. Told them that we would only purchase if they could deliver both products at one time. They assured us that they would be, since the loveseat was only in belleville. Only got sofa a week later. Then got run around blaming drivers.then was told end of November. Then recieved a call Saturday telling me it would be delivered Sunday. Hallelujah! No call all day Sunday. No call Monday. Husband calls and wouldn't you know.after telling me it would be delivered it wasnt scheduled for delivery. So after blaming someone else again its due to be delivered tomorrow. I will never shop here again. Worst experience. 3000.00 for a run around. So disappointed.

Shopping at the Kingston surplus store was a really positive experience. We had Shawn and Caleb as salesmen and they were not pushy or followed up around the store. Were happy to share more info about the products when needed and just generally gave a very welcoming atmosphere.

Went into the store looking for decent furniture and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable…. They were easy to deal with. THE DELIVERY drivers that delivered my furniture were awesome they were mindful of my own thing and to not bang stuff off my walls.they were very careful at what they were doing. I would recommend the store and the delivery guys any day

Absolutely amazing customer service! McKenna and Bill were super helpful and patient when things went awry with both my fathers order and mine. Amazing prices available as well and great financial plans in place. Cannot say enough good about the employees. I have made many purchases from the Kingston store. I normally deal with Shawn who is absolutely amazing. I am always greeted with a friendly smile as soon as I walk through the door and always receive excellent customer service. The staff are very knowledgeable and I have never had an issue with any of my purchases. If you are looking for any kind of furniture I would highly recommend Furniture Surplus in Kingston.ask for Shawn!

Very disappointed with the service, felt like a scam to me.

I went there after looking at the flyer for an economical dinning table set, the salesperson told me it’s out of stock but I can pre-book it with some amount and that’ll put me on top of the waiting list although the salesperson was clear that they can’t guarantee a delivery date. As I was in no rush, so I decided to do that and paid half of the amount as advance. Few weeks later I received a phone call from the store, with a very rude person on the other end, demanding if I want the dinning table set or not, I said of course I do, is it back in stock. Ignoring my answer the person very rudely said if you want to be on top of the waiting list you have to pay in full now otherwise anyone who will be paying in full will get the preference. I responded, that’s not my question, is it back in stock? He said no it’s not (again with very aggressive tone) I asked: so when will it be back in stock? Responded: I don’t know it takes time. I asked, so you want me to pay in full without any tentative date of delivery? He said yes if you are serious in buying! By now I was really annoyed so I told him that he want my money and can’t assure the date and will give it to anyone who pays in full even a month after my advance reservation? He said yes and I told him it’s okay I can come back tomorrow and get my money back. Next day when I visited the store to get my refund, I was told that its in stock and if I need it I can get it right away. I told the salesperson, no thanks I just want my money back.

Absolutely the worst service. Purchased a BRAND NEW living room set, coffee and end table. At the time of purchase they did not have it in stock so we were okay with waiting. Set came in. Was told if we paid off the remaining balance they would hold it for us to pick up. Went to get it, they resold our already paid for furniture. They did not have coffee and end tables in stock, tried to hide the fact that they sold our set and attempted to give us the store display sofa. We would have never known all this had the young guy in the warehouse not been honest with us. The manager on duty sure was not. He came out to speak with me low and behold he was the same guy the complete transaction went through. He knew he was caught in more than one lie, knew he couldn't talk his way out of it so instead of providing customer service to make it right, he walked away. Obviously We were pretty upset and mad with great reason to be so. Never known any other business that would resell already paid for merchandise, but apparently that is what they do here and then they hope for the best.

We bought a new reclining love seat and couch. Everything was great with the sale. The couch is an Ashley brand. After 2 months, one of the supports under the couch bent, causing the couch to not be functional. We put a manufacturers warranty claim in. After 12 days and multiple inquiry emails, we received an update that the warranty claim had been approved, and someone would be reaching out within the week to come look at the couch. It’s now been 31 days, and multiple emails with no response, and no phone call to come and look at fixing or replacing the couch. It’s frustrating that world is promised to you when they sell you the couches and upsell the warranty, and then nobody seems to be able to deliver when an issue arises. I can appreciate that they may be busy with warranty claims, but keeping people in the loop and following up shouldn’t be such an issue.

My husband and I just came back from this store. We purchased a mattress and box spring and were served by a very professional McKenna. She even pointed out items that I didn't know they carried. Great job McKenna. Because of you we will definitely return.

Went in 2 weeks ago looking for a sectional and had the pleasure of interacting with Billy and Sean, who were friendly, patient, and professional. Left the store having ordered the Casa 2-pc sectional. It's a great product, and does not look like I bought it on a budget + it only took 10 days to arrive, much faster than expected! Though your mileage may vary, since covid is what it is and supply lines are backlogged. Will definitely go back if I need other stuff.

Have accessible parking close to main entrance. Doors do not have automatic buttons for wheelchair access which is unfortunate. Furniture can be cluttered and difficult to manoeuvre if using a mobility device. Stop are friendly and eager to sell.

Great place to shop for furnitures. Great quality but on a cheaper price! Its a one stop shop for the people who's looking to buy there sets. We bought our bedroom, living room, dinning all in here with the help of Andrea and James. They are the dynamic duo! They have been so patient with the calculations and explaining to get the right deals and packages! Two thumbs up!

Good prices and flexible but you get what you pay for (my couches started to show wear early on in my having them). Showroom is also really crowded so its hard to get around to view things. Staff were pleasant though, not too pushy and they always seem to have additional add ons and offers. Would go there again.

Mike and Andrea extremely helpful answering questions on the purchase of a sectional. It has been 12 years since I made a big purchase. They were able to advise on foam density to coil options for cushions. Types of fabric etc. Plus the delivery times were within a 5 hr window.

I went in to surplus furniture looking for a new bedroom set at a reasonable price. Bryan was very helpful and incredibly knowledgeable. I really appreciated the fact that he let me look around for a bit and decide on my own what I wanted and did not seem overly pushy as I have found at other furniture stores (that I usually leave as I like to look on my own and be given some space). When I had decided which furniture I liked best, Bryan helped me to choose a great mattress! I did not know much about purchasing mattresses as my last was a very thin and cheap one from Ikea and so Bryan helped me to choose if I wanted a firm or soft mattress, explained how the warranties worked and gave great input.
Overall, I am very impressed with the furniture set I bought and the mattress but I am even more impressed by the customer service by Bryan, he is an incredible employee!

First and foremost I'd like to say I've been in sales for over 15 years. I know what to look for in a sales person. I bought a sectional from andrea in January of this year and her service is what made me decide to buy from her again now that I need to furnish my 3 kids rooms and mine and my husbands room. I initially walked in the store last week and dealt with an insanely knowledgable man (I apologize I cannot remember that fellows name) but I was blown away by how informative and patient he was. I went back in tonight to confirm and pay off my order where I was greeted by andrea and the store manager. Both individuals were welcoming, patient and accommodating when I changed my mind about a million times with which bedroom sets I wanted. I will say I did find bedroom sets elsewhere that I actually liked a little more but in all honesty surplus got my money just because of their incredible customer service. I highly recommend everyone buy from them!
