I found this place while craving for sushi, the food was delicious and the staff have such a good service.
I would def come back.

I ordered the torched sampler and enjoyed it. But I don’t like how the server was hovering on our table almost every minute. Didn’t like how she insisted on trying out the Premium Chirashi Don and when we asked for pictures, the chef had to come up to our table. I get that he was being very passionate about his craft, but this interaction really rubbed me off the wrong way. The mini cubicle table gave me a false sense of security and I almost felt like they are listening on our conversation. The $75 premium chirashi don bowl came up and it is smaller than we expected. Chef showed a picture of a similar bowl and thought he said “this is bigger” turned out what he said is actually “this is better” and doesn’t mean it’s actually bigger. Feels like we got pushed to buy that $75 bowl when in retrospect I wanted to eat sushi rolls. I’m sure the bowl is fantastic but that is not why we came up to this restaurant. I feel that my friend is just being polite and “entertained” your upselling products.

Also don’t like how they keep talking in another language when not everyone speaks that language. I’ve been to a lot of restaurants that talks in a different language other than english, and still they made me feel welcome and they never made me feel alienated.but this restaurant made me feel so alienated while dining in.

My daughter's favorite sushi spot, and mine. Consistently great food and service. Never fails to satisfy! I love the torched dragon rolls.

I randomly ended up on Charles St. Glad I did, this place rocks. Try the torched sampler. It was so good, nice Miso too.

I happened upon this place while looking for a lunch spot. I am SO glad I did. I did take away and the service was quick. Tried one of the lunch specials and was surprised by the quality and amount of fish in these rolls! The spicy rolls are not a mayo mess and the fish is chunky and delicious.

It's going to be difficult to stay away from lunches here. Can't wait to go back.

Very very small portions. I asked for spicy mayo on top and she said ok but never got spicy mayo. Each piece is sooo so small!

Absolutely worst experience I have ever had. Came in after briefly browsing reviews on google, and decided to give this place a chance. However, I did not expect the experience to come. First off, for a place to include, “Sushi, ” in their title, sushi should not make you feel nauseous. After ordering their red dragon roll -expecting something edible- I was beyond wrong. It was so below the bare minimum expected with absolutely disgusting and bland looking fish, alongside poorly structured rice, I was put off. Although, I gave it a chance. Could just be poor presentation. The first bite made me want to puke. Instant regret alongside my friend being very concerned. I gladly moved it aside after pondering, “How could any restaurant serve this? ” After the waitress gladly took it back, I expected it to be taken off the bill. Because it was one piece right? Sent it back politely, complimented the other food that was ordered and decently enjoyed, and continued our meal. When we were ready for the bill, I was stunned to see the charge for it. I politely confronted the waitress and explained how this was not fair, it was one piece and how could I know I would not like it? Her response sounded planned. “This happens often, but because you ate one piece you still have to pay for it & I already talked to the manger. ” So they know what they’re doing? They understand that they are serving barely edible sushi however, their policy is to still charge? Seriously? “This happens often. ” I still cannot believe this was said. Worst experience of my life and worst money ever spent. Genuinely disgusting.

In response to the ‘owner’:
Could wave the bill? Seriously? You fully understand are pressuring people into paying for your mistakes. Your food quality is so below the bare minimum it is concerning. I am not slandering by leaving an honest review of the situation, if you have issues with that then look into the establishment you are running.

To begin with the sushi just wasn't that good of quality, the rolls just kept falling apart, the seasoning of the rice just wasn't there. On top of that I did not have a good experience with the staff, I ordered a spicy California roll, and a cucumber roll (on the menu it said Maki but I miss spoke) the waitress repeated this back to be exactly as I said, only to bring out a spicy Salmon roll and a cucumber avocado roll. I told her that was wrong and she acted confused, she agreed that I said California roll but said "you said cucumber roll not Maki so I assumed you meant cucumber avocado". With this she then told me to just pick out the avocado as they would only remake the Cali roll since "well you said roll".

So not only did I get the wrong food, I ended up paying more and picking apart my food for a mistake that wasn't asked for clarification about. I felt the whole scenario went in a direction to make me feel stupid for my mistake rather than trying to correct it.

The food and service is no were near worth the price.

Edit: in response to the reply. The statement that your staff would never do this is a lie, it happened. They remade the Cali not the other and told me to just pick it out. This just confirms I will never be returning

Rice a little too mushy but it was really cheap and the portions were HUGE by Japanese restaurant standards. Staff were very nice, food was meh but filling.

Kind staff and reasonable pricing:) I got a set which was three rolls, salad, and miso soup for under $20 after tax! The sushi was also very nice! Will be my go to take out place for sushi in toronto
