They serve uncooked chicken! Showed the manager the chicken is uncooked and instead of him apologizing and giving a fresh order he stated the chicken was marinated and that it was cooked. That’s a lie it was uncooked and the chicken smelled old! If you order or eat here don’t order the fried chicken!

The food is decent, however after paying $45 a person you are not aloud to remove cucumber from a roll without an additional charge. I was also mildly disappointed by the owner, whom is very rude.

I have never not left a gratuity after dining out, and sometimes do that with cash regardless of how I pay for the meal. Immediately after the owner saw there was no tip on the credit machine he asked “did you not like the servers, so didn’t leave a tip”. Interesting comment as tipping is not mandatory, and you have no clue if a cash tip was on route. I would certainly work on customer service.

Stopped in for lunch for our first time. Everything was excellent. We loved every dish we tried, which was a lot! Can't wait to come back to try more. 10/10!

We dined in for the all you can eat sushi and it was fantastic. The salmon sushi was delicious and all the rolls were yummy. All the food was fresh and the service was quick. I will definitely return and recommend.

We stopped in for dinner a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday night and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is comfortable and clean and the service was very prompt. We were well looked after. The manager/owner came to our table and asked if we had enjoyed. The sushi was quite good, my husband loved the tempura choices (many), and we will be back probably within a couple of weeks.

Dined in on a surprise visit as I, have yet to of hear of the business. Amazing wonton soup, pork &, dumpling. The service is on an extremely great level. That which reminds me of dining in a fine Korean open grill in Toronto. I paired my lunch with Sapporo beer which perfected matched the subtle notes of every flavour. Defiantly will be returning. Staff is happy and helpful!

Ordered the A10, Maki and sushi platter to go. It was good, clean and fresh. No complaints and would definitely order from there again. I found out recently they also do AYCE and have to try that. Overall it was a good experience and would recommend the take out. I was initially worried after reading some of the reviews after ordering but it doesn't seem to be the case. I would recommend the take out for sure.

Slow service, waited almost 30min per order of rollls, had to ask multiple times just to get anything.
Counted 3 skipthedishes order go out for every small order for the few tables that came in to eat.

Spend date night with husband today. Overall very good experience- the food came quick, awesome variety, very pleasant staff. My husband said the food was tasty.

The food was good in taste. We ordered shushi and fried noodles. Noodles was really good. Sushi was not as fresh as expected! Good vibes, decent atmosphere, pretty fast service, ample parking.

This used to be my all time favorite place to eat and we used to dine here every weekend with our neighbors. We went for dinner in October with our neighbours and were so disappointed. The sashimi was skimpy and substandard, we were not served what we ordered, the chicken dishes were dry and tasted bad. This restaurant used to serve absolutely the best food. Don't understand what happen.

Great place for a family meal. This was our first visit to Sushi Kaika and we will definitely be back. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly and fast. Our kids absolutely love it here also and are already asking to come back. Great selection and fair pricing.

Second time going and second time disappointed. Food quality is not worth the price, neither is the service. I gave it another go even though the experience was the same the first time. It's unfortunate since it's the only sushi place in town

Had high hopes, was let down.
Salmon Nigiri was disappointing, way too much rice to fish ratio, rice was very soggy and sweet. The salmon Maki was the same. Only enjoyable thing was the spicy tuna. Shrimp tempura was also a let down, batter was falling off and the matching dipping sauce wasn’t given to us. Squid tempura was definitely store bought, very chewy. We never got our miso soups. We weren’t offered any ginger nor wasabi. Sesame balls were tasty but reeked of old oil. Not worth spending 60$.

Tonight's order was extra special than normal. Not only delicious but the kindness shown to me and my family was above and beyond. Thank you.

We ordered an assortment of vegetarian & non-veg options. Food was fresh, flavourful and well portioned.

So utterly fantastic. The staff is so amazing and kind. Very sweet people that run this place, so happy it’s under new management, they really transformed the place. Great experience and would recommend to anyone and everyone.

Don't get me wrong it's not bad for a small town in Southern Ontario but don't set your expectations too high. The staff are friendly and the service is good.

Do NOT recommend anymore - new owners and the quality, consistency have all gone down and price has gone up.

The sushi has to much rice, quality of rice is terirble, tacky, and has been overcooked. Cuts of sashimi were not cut correctly and had fat and scales on it - extremely unsatisfying.

Use to eat at this restaurant every few weeks, it's a shame as we wont eat there anymore.

What is going on with this place? Poorly rolled sushi and extremely salty! This is my 3rd delivery with the same issue. Did management change? This will be my last order. I’d rather make the drive to caledon if I get a sushi craving again.

Best place in town, but could still use a lot of improvement. Dynamite rolls had very poor quality shrimp. Some items are good though

Avocado sushi and sweet potato sushi was really yummy but it was falling apart. But fast service. Attitude needs to change though. Maybe put a cheerful person at the front. Instead of the grumpy man.

Ive ordered delivery from this place a lot, and its always been alright. Not amazing but fine and the only sushi in town.

However i just ordered for the first time in several months and it was terrible. Tempura batter was way too thick and floury. Orangeville roll was poorly rolled, the crab inside was colder than the outside of the roll.super disappointing and not sure if I'll order again.

Amazing Sushi Restaurant! The First time I visited Orangeville and my friends recommended this restaurant. It’s a very good place because the traffic is very convenient. The food was so fresh and well-prepared, it came so fast. The service was great, workers were extremely nice! Definitely worth its price. I already want to go back Orangeville because of this fantastic sushi restaurant. I enjoyed the feast very much.

Best all you can eat sushi in town. They know how to keep me coming back for more. Rarely a line. And they do take out too! They are now part of Skip the Dishes.

HAIR in food! WORST! YUCK! If I can give less stars I would! Save your money - awful sushi will turn you off completely. Went back in to the restaurant to complain and the owner and said it was mine. Disgusting and dirty - RUDE owner ship! RUDE staff. Very underserving of any business during these hard times they should be grateful they are even a consideration. The health inspector should go in here. Go anywhere else.

One star is generous. Employee asked for my phone number for a take out order. She could not find it. I quickly ran out to my car to get the order number. Came back she rudely asked me to move my phone as she could not see the order number. She then found my order and promptly threw it at me through the glass slot. Really poor service

Do me a favor if you are reading this, just go to Caledon to Inaka or anywhere else on the planet to get Sushi. I will never give this place my business. Beyond rude, food is average at best. Nothing but problems with this location. Owner is horrible to talk to. There's just an aura to this place that the employees carry around with them that feels elitist and entitled.

I can't stress this enough: give your money to a business that actually CARES about you. This place certainly doesn't.

Ordered take out from there on New Year's. Very disappointed with quality of food. Employees saw me standing at the door but did not approach until I rang the bell so their customer service was poor too.

The price was pretty good. There was really taste sushi and soup. Can wait to eat there again in the future.

Finally tried Sushi Kaika last week for my son's bday dinner (he requested sushi!) and we were all very impressed. The order process was simple, the service was great, the wait time was minimal, and the food was fresh and flavourful. Can't wait to go for all you can eat dine in once the pandemic is over!

Our favorite place in town! Fresh seafood, lots of variety, and the owner, Michael, always goes above and beyond to make sure our food is fantastic.

Terrible customer service

We order from them all the time and when we placed our order tonight (February 20th, 2021) the price was way over what we usually pay. When asked to repeat the order and the lady kept saying “what’s so hard to understand. Do you want it or not we are very busy”
We were not going to pay extra money when we knew she had gotten our order wrong.

We asked to speak to the manager and he kept saying the same thing the lady said. They were busy and if we wanted to order or not.

They hung up on us three times. We received a text of a photo of our order and little did we find out they did charge us incorrectly. They charged us for wasabi roll when we said no wasabi!

So we called them back to let them know they were wrong and since they were insisting their prices were right and wasn’t willing to listen to their customers we told them we would take our business elsewhere. We decided to go with Inaka Japanese restaurant in Caledon.

For being the only sushi restaurant in Orangeville I would expect better from this place. It is probably one of the worst I have ever had. I won’t be going there again for take out.

Put our food order in at 5pm. They said it would be ready for 7pm. Arrived as instructed at 7pm and didn't get food until 7: 55pm.

Would have been faster to drive to Inaka Sushi in Caledon and the food would have been better!

It's very annoying that they are still delivering old menus with orders, the price have gone up quite a bit, so do not be fooled by the prices on their paper menu, you will get a surprise when you get your actual food total!

Ive gone there lots for All You Can Eat and its good.
With the restrictions, they have been closed for dine in and I wanted to support the business by ordering takeout thru Skip.
I ordered a sushi roll platter Friday evening and it was borderline unbearable. The rice was old and hard, and the fish was not tasteful or enjoyable. I dont know why I didn't try to return it.should have. It all went to waste.

No sashimis and more avocados than someone might want.boooooo

Went to this place a little over year ago, or so. This place was terrible in regards to being child friendly. No change table for our ten month old, and they had the audacity to charge her for eating.she's a baby, I've never seen such a terrible anti family establishment.not to mention they didn't have a change table.sushi was subpar as well.if you have kids, don't bring them here.charging an infant.so infuriating

Dining room is still closed. Take out a-la-cart only. Very expensive. Other restaurants put up barriers and distance customers, this one does not. When asked when the dining room would open, answer is always in a couple of weeks. But it never happens. Definitely taking advantage of customers.

Not sure what everyone is complaining about. This may be the only sushi place that the village of orange has to offer but it is quite good. I've been going here for years and never had bad experiences. Staff has been pleasant and no issues with food.

Went there today and ordered take out. Was made within timeframe they provided and was on a nice styrofoam plate nicely wrapped for safety! Provided me wasabi and ginger on the side and 2 containers of soy sauce (without me even asking! Which was awesome.) was super nice and friendly, would highly recommend. [especially for a place in Orangeville it was actually very nice and tasty. ] delicious

The motif in the restaurant is nice, the sushi is okay for Orangeville, it’s pretty good. Happy to say we’ve never been sick after eating sushi at this location. We mostly ordered take-out but a couple times we made reservations for all you can eat, dinner. Costed around $100 for two adults and a child which is a good price BUT our server kept watching us eat, made comment as to how much food we ordered to our table (which didn’t make us feel comfortable in ordering more), very rude. Customers (who pay all-you-can-eat) should not be made uncomfortable so they order less. Come on.that’s not nice. This is very bad for business and we have not been back since, not even for take-out.

We've been coming here for some time because it's the only game in town. Reality is, this is the most overpriced and bland sushi ever. I've seen the manager argue and bully customers, wait staff are rude, and they charge toddlers full adult price just for being at the table. They nickle and dime brutally for substitutions even when the substituted item is cheaper than the original item. Don't waste your money here - nothing good will come of it.

My experience at this restaurant was not the greatest, I ordered sushi, chicken and tempura. The chicken had the appearance of sponge, any of the condiments we requested were given sparsely, we were told the spicy mayo was “limited”. The sushi did not taste fresh compared to numerous other restaurants I have been to. The fish had a gamey texture to it that seemed like something straight from the deep dark depths of the freezer. I actually got after eating at this restaurant making the rest of my night unpleasant. I would not recommend this restaurant, drive to Brampton for better quality

Very small selection of food items on the lunch menu and way to costly. Cameras everywhere in the restaurant to make sure waiting staff dont get tipped.

Not the best sushi place for me, but not the worst either. Some of the food there is half decent (such as the noodles, chicken, and sushi, etc.) On the other hand, the food is a little overpriced, staff sometimes stare at you, and the overall food selection is quite limited. Not to mention we had to order our food via pen and paper rather than use a tablet where you can actually see what you are ordering since I had experience in other sushi restaurants. Anyways, I probably will not go back there again.

Two staff members stood beside our table speaking to each other in Japanese while we tried to eat our meal. Uncomfortably close to us. Menu options were not great. Food tasted good.

Rude staff. Came here with my kids, asked for some steamed rice for the kiddos, and was told bluntly no. Order first. I’ve been to many places, but that was a first for me. The food was bland, the selection incredibly small, and they charge for children under 2. All in all, I’m never going to be coming back here, and I wouldn’t recommend that anyone does. I certainly will not be telling my family or friends anything nice about this establishment.

I am by far the least picky eater there is and I must absolutely say this is by far the worst sushi restaurant I have ever been to. I would give less than 1 star if possible. We chose to try this place being the only sushi place in Orangeville. The service was horrible, the server was rude from the start. Our first order I'd say about 60% of the items we ordered didn't come. The server would bring out about 6-9 pieces every 5 mins for a table of 4. After sitting with nothing on our table for about 10-15 minutes we asked about the balance of the food we ordered expecting the majority of it to still be on the way.

We were told all of it had come out and to order again. At least 7-9 items we ordered didn't come. I get the usual 1-2 items but this was crazy and seemed to be completely acceptable by the server.

This place puts so much extra rice in their rolls it's ridiclous. Some of the rolls came out with nothing but rice.

We were so fed up with this place we decided to cut the meal short and cut our losses. Save yourself the disappointment and get your sushi from any of the grocery stores.

I don’t leave reviews, this time I had too. Literally sitting here so frustrated and thought most of the negative reviews were based on price, but service, and food all deserve 1 star. Wait staff is unbelievably rude and despite ordering certain foods three or four times it won’t come out. Sushi is comically over stuffed with rice. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place, sad it’s the only sushi on Orangeville. To the staff and owners, show some pride and passion or leave the food and service industry.

The food wasn’t good, the edamame was extremely over salted, rice was dry and sushi would break apart as you tried to pick it up, selection is limited, server was rude, and the price was absolutely outrageous for such a grocery store quality meal out. Honestly, you’re better off going to Sobey’s. I felt sick after eating (not an exaggeration).

Have been eating here for years with gloria.the prices have went up so much its crazy. If they are going to charge that much more they need more option and dessert as other all u can eat sushi establishments have.also we found it insulting that when we asked if they had desert they just pretended they didnt speak English.

I really enjoy coming here. I find the service to really good even when its super Busy and I enjoy the sushi. My favorite is the red dragon rolls, Chicago and Orangeville. It is a decent size place and the booths are nice and roomy! I wish they would ditch the paper to order and use iPad's but all in all I love place!

Met a friend for Sushi- Dinner (all you can eat). Not much other sushi options if you live in Orangeville. I would say the restaurant itself is what you would expect from an all you can eat. Over all the service was ok. I wish they had more options in regards to SASHIMI options. The ROLL options had variety. The baked/deep fried ones are really good! One thing worth noting is that they DON'T Have ice cream (only deep fried bananas for dessert)

Service is abhorrent, food was wildly slow to reach the table. 80 bucks for two to sit and wonder if they forgot about us. I'd rather lick sidewalk.

I really like the time when I came here. Everything is good including Washroom. I don’t know how the man side but I can smell good and really polite.the food is excellent but why I give only 4 star cause when I been there having food and one women clean up the floor during I having food so I only just smell soap. I don’t know with another person but for me that’s mean I feel uncomfortable.but I will come back cause I love sushi I’d like to spend time here!

Good all you can eat but go during the week not the weekend. $22 is more reasonable then $30 because let's be honest its hard to eat your money's worth. Also, they gave my boyfriend a cracked tea mug and he spilled hot tea on himself, they took it away and brought us another one but charged us for 3 cups of tea.

It's a good restaurant for sushi and udon. Stay away from anything that is deep fried because the food is overcooked in overused oil. Your chicken katsu will come out dark and not appetizing. But the beef udon is delicious and sushi is not bad. Parking is free. Don't expect great service. It's not a fancy restaurant, but food is reasonably priced. It's a good place for a quick bite.
