A bad experience. There are very few items and they are not delicious. There is also a 3% fee for credit card payments. I will not go there again.

Terrible service, food took forever even though they weren't busy. Always trying to seat customers at the back instead of the middle of the restaurant. We won't be hosting our work lunches here anymore.

Not many choice of food, but it was more Chinese flavor than Japan food. Most material were from frozen, nothing surprise nothing taste so good. About the service, when I asking to change my dish (lots shell In it) but the waitress just pouring the garbage to other plate in front of me and returned me back my own dish. Wow’’’ Not recommended

Quality has gone down big time. Sushi rice was stale and food was just bland. We used to go here pre pandemic and it was a great experience. Servers are great but the food is sub par. Would never come here again. First time here after 2 years and what a disappointment it was.

Had a very bad experience today, it is so unfortunate that this place used to be great and now it’s very bad!
First the menu that is online doesn’t match the menu in store on the iPad!
Second the servers were not friendly at all!
Third the server came to tell us the last call for lunch was at 2;40 pm while before we could order till 3: 30pm!
Well let me say one thing, if we try to support local businesses, we expect a minimum level of quality!
Very disappointed!

Been here a few times, the decor is nice, but the quality of sushi isn’t the greatest, service can be hit and miss, and I always feel like I’m rushed out with the bill even prior to the pandemic).

This is the worst all-you-can-eat I had ever had in my life. The choice of food is limited (no selection of sashimi) and limited sushi choices also. It is really not worth to pay $27+tax for a lunch.

Food is good. But the service was horrible. Have to wait like 20 minutes or more to get our order. We waited so long that we started not to get hungry because of waiting for long. Only thing that was quick was the dessert came quick. I guess they just wanted us to leave. But once we were waiting for the bill. The rest of food that we order 40 mins ago came. And we didn't want it anymore. It's to late. Do not recommend coming to this location. Would give zero stars but I can't.

Placed an order for pickup online and got a 20% discount. The sushi was good and we ordered pan fried gyoza, as well. The sauce that came with it was amazing! Tasted like a spicy sesame oil sauce.

Honestly, for the price, I was very satisfied!

Completely messed up our orders. Had to reorder multiple times to get items. No sequence, no order, no courtesy. Worst, they threatened to recharge for food that came after we were done having ice-cream. Unfortunately, it was a family favorite. Not likely to ever return.

This is not a honest business in that food quality will be degraded if you order more than some quantity in allyoucaneat. They watch customers orders and customize quality silently.

Love it! This is my third time here. Food are amazing, waitress are friendly, and they follow the health protocol strict, we feel comfortable and safe. I like they give you a notepad to place order, easy to order and easy to track.

I attempted to send this as an email. It was sent back with a do not reply message. This was the email:

Hi,

I'd like to say that I have been a long time customer of kiku, and I have dinned there for both lunch and dinner many many times in the last 7 years. Today was the first time I ordered from kiku since the covid 19 pandemic, and was also the first time I ordered takeaway. I hold kiku in very high regard for price, quality, and service. I have recommended kiku to my friends and family for these reasons, and I am also returning customer for these reasons. Unfortunately I was rather disappointed with my order today as it was not reflective of kiku's reputation. I ordered the T322 (40 pieces). The platter was short 5 pieces and some of the fish in the rolls tasted as if it was spoiled. I wanted to provide this feedback to prevent further loss of business during a time when the hospitality industry has already taken a major blow due to the pandemic. Please take the necessary steps to correct this, and prevent it from happening again

Worst service! Servers don't listen to you. Food arrived and had to ask for Wasabi 5 times to 4 different people before they brought it. Servers don't acknowledge you and walk around like robots. Hold on, robots would listen. The sashimi was nice but selection was poor in this all you can eat.

Very bad service. I waited 30 mins for my takeout and staff were extremely rude and cold. The restaurant wasn't even busy at that time. No one cared to check-in on me while I was waiting the entire time.

Got last minute table for dinner service last weekend. Tables were not really spaced out properly in the parking lot under the tents.

The food quality dropped, sashimi was luke warm instead of it being cold. The handrolls were still fine. The rolls themselves were falling apart like they didn't roll it tight enough. The lamb skewers were under seasoned and the fat was not rendered enough. Short ribs came out cold. I used to love this place pre covid.

Not sure if the chef's changed or they were just pre cooking everything. Was disappointed at the food.

Service remand the same, staff were friendly and food came out at decent time.

They start to offer Chinese dimsum as well but I did not try it. Overall, the food is a bit salty but quite decent considering it is an all around Japanese buffet

Fast friendly but the waitress were demanding for tips made me uncomfortable when we went to eat for lunch but they only had dinner prices and the service was average and all I heard was the waitress gossiping first and maybe last time

An average all you can eat sushi place. The place could of got 4 stars but service was lacking. Food quality is as food as it can be for all you can eat. The rolls were decent not to much rice. Some stuff came out really slow while some came out pretty fast so be careful not to over order. Price and quality is good.

Food was great, had bad service 1 visit (20 min wait for soft drinks) tried to bring it to the manager's attention he ignored our table. When called upon a few more times he finally came and he said he didn't need to tend to us because we got our drinks eventually. No apology, no goodwill gesture to make up for it. When told we won't be returning he simply said "that's your choice". When asked for the restaurant's owner's information he said he was the owner (highly doubtful).

Mediocre for an all you can eat place.one issue I had with this place is that if I make a reservation, and you have a time limit for eating, you need to tell me before and not rush us to leave the place when we are still finishing up and then say oh theres only a 2h eating limit.

Good atmosphere, really great service, good variety featuring some unique items. Taste and presentation are great. Honestly can't find anything to complain about.

The food is very good and the service is quick. The bathrooms have never been that clean when I have been. And I was taken aback at my last visit when multiple employees were napping in the booths.

Food was good, and came quickly. Service however was odd, like it seemed as if we were putting them out for more hot tea when we asked. Furthermore, there is a 90min time limit, which unfortunately started for us when our table arrived and we were socially catching up and not ordering right away. We had last call, and then promptly afterward were told to leave so other people could have our table. Experience overall was quite poor.

Service was fast but some of the food I ordered never made it to my table. I know they have it because I saw other tables get the same food. Perhaps the ones for me got sent to the wrong table. It was still a great experience over all. Everything that I had tasted great. My only other complaint is that the sashimi were sliced so thinly. Not a problem though, i just order more.)

I'll be in the area frequently on business and was looking forward to being a regular diner here. But unfortunately they only take cash or debit. I prefer places that accept credit cards so I could charge to my corporate card. I'll definitely come back here when I'm in town for vacation though.

Some of the best sushi I've ever had ever. I'm super white so who knows the value I bring when I judge sushi places. The service is typically pretty robotic (a little less personal than alexa.) If this place tried just a little bit harder to improve the service this place would be non-stop busy and they could even raise the prices.it's that good. Too bad they cant say thank you or your welcome or generally respond.its uncomfortable.

Good place to eat. I don't know about the fish dishes I can't eat but the beef and chicken dishes are good. Service is good too. Just wish I didn't have to always ask for refills on drinks.

Very delicious and cozy.
They prepared every order very quickly which was great. I hate waiting when I am hungry!
Very very fresh ingredients and friendly staff. It was my second time there, and I loved it.

Food was mediocre. Kaka is much more better. Expectation: sautéed butter mushrooms, reality: mushrooms bathed in cream of mushroom. Salmon sashimi was cut so thinly and inconsistently you might as well call it carpaccio. We were staggered at the amount of dirty cups, filthy soup spoons, dirty bowls and dirty plates that were served to us.

Food comes out fast but the general service was slow and food runners do not speak a lick of english. They automatically assume every Asian knows mandarin. They kept pushing us to pay our bill and leave at the 1 hour and 20 minute mark. I understand there’s a 90 minute seating limit but its 8: 45pm with plenty of tables and no walk-in customers. A waitress cleared our table while desserts are served. Left us with no chopsticks when some fried desserts arrived. Surprise, surprise, there were no wait staff to flag down to get new sets of chopsticks. Definitely won’t be back again.

Food is great my son loves this place, but the service and treatment was horrible, lady who seems like the manager is super rude. We ordered take out as we had an appointment right infront at Dbk salon. We were offered to sit by the host who took our order at the door. Once we got our order she offered if we wanted to sit and eat it quick there, I said sure thank you, and she simply told me everything is inside the bag including chopsticks as she pointed inside, we still had a few minutes until his appointment and literally only ordered 18 sushi for two. So we sat. The other older lady (manager) literally walked by 6 times watching us as if we stole sushi or we were bad people, it was so uncomfortable and after a quick 10 min eat of our 18 sushi rolls she has the nerve to tell me next time you order take-out you have to leave. I was so offended and told her she made us feel uncomfortable and she's wrong, we were offered to sit quick, so if anything speak to your staff. Totally rude, unprofessional, we sat there 10 min even cleaned up the bag. As paying customers the host was super sweet, she didn't have to be so nice, but regardless the manager was beyond horrible. Made me feel embarrassed and she went to yell at the nice host. We were planning on ordering after his cut to take home for my other kids but hell no. Such bad treatment for paying customers. If there was an issue her duty was to clarify with her staff their location rules and never make the customer feel bad or embarrassed. I really can't believe that happened. Soo bad.

I've been to this AYCE restaurant many times, with the most recent one being yesterday. I've honestly never had any complains, but frankly, yesterday, my experience was quite dissapointing. The sushi, sashimi, and tempura was not how it regularly is! It seemed quite dry, and not as fresh as other places. Understandably, AYCE is obviously not the best quality, but I certainly expected a much better experience.

I would also have to say that the servers were in a hurry at all times, even though it wasn't busy at all. They would simply throw the sushi on our table, and leave without saying a word. As for politeness, I would give them a 0/5. Even when we left, we had to wait 15-20 minutes just to receive the bill, even though we asked several times! We were not in a hurry, but it certainly made some of us frustrated.

Do keep in mind that they also lowered the number of pieces you get when you order (so order multiple of the same!) Before, one plate consisted of 6-8 sushis, however, now, they cut it down to 3 pieces! This isn't necessarily a bad thing, maybe they want to save the amount of food waste, but just remember that when you order!

I would definitely give this place another chance, since my experiences prior to this one were amazing. Its honestly been one of my favorite AYCE restaurants in Markham, but maybe that has to change.

NEVER GO HERE! Garbage food, garbage service. I was with my friends (7 people) and they served us so slowly and were being very disrespectful. Not only that, we found a LIVE bug on our beef ribs, when we complained, the manager Eric tried to make an excuse that the bug flew in from the front door while we were eating and landed on our food. There was no way this was possible as we were far from the entrance and the bug looked like it was partly cooked. We did not get a discount or anything. Disgusting.

It is very clear and evident that these people are buying reviews to boost their ratings. I WAS a frequent customer and am super disgusted by the servers and management here. They clearly treat you differently based on your “status”. All the waitresses look like they hate working there. The food is mediocre at best and there was a man who posted a picture of a worm in his edamame. And the management didn’t do jack! Please refrain from coming here and wasting your hard earned money and being disrespected left and right.

This place does not respect customers that are under 18, we found a bug in our food and they did nothing to apologize. All the waiter were giving us dirty looks and were not happy with. In my honest opinions do not go to this restaurant. Bad service, bad food, bad EVERYTHING

The price of this restaurant is reasonable, as it is 20$ for lunch for each person and you can eat as much as possibly can.
Salmon Rose is my favorite Maki Roll in this place. It also has other kinds of sushis and japanese foods like Tepanyaki, Ramen and etc. You can also have desert here since it has icecream and some other japanese deserts and teas.
