Sushi Masamune

Small unassuming sushi restaurant with korean dishes as well. The fish was quite fresh and loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. They also have floor seating as well which I wanted to try.

I used to love this place. Years ago it had a good variety of good food. Now the menu has been significantly cut down to one page and the food has become. For a lack of better word, generic. It's fine for a quick bite to eat if you are in the area. The food is decent and the service is good but when I was there the hallway to the washroom was a bit in disrepair which made the restaurant look worse for wear and makes the atmosphere a little unpleasant. It makes me a little sad to say this has become a place of utilitarian eating to fill stomach and no longer a food destination.

Fantastic a la cart sushi, very fresh. My personal favorite are the Korean dishes, if you like sashimi and hot sauce you have to try the Whe Dup Bab.

Really delicious dinner. Been looking for a great sushi and Korean food place in the area for awhile and this will be our go to spot!

We had our anniversary here today, the lady was so nice and reserved the booth at the front for us. We really enjoyed the food and the ambiance. Will comeback for sure. Keep up the good work!

Good food, price, ambiance and service!

Very efficient serving even though there seemed to be only one waitress during a busy time with many customers. Food tasted amazing; probably the best sushi I have ever had. And the atmosphere and interior design was stunning. This place is truly a hidden gem. Will definitely come back again.

We were staying at a nearby hotel and randomly stopped into this little unassuming sushi place in a nearby strip mall and had one of the best sushi dinners we've had in a long time. Service was a little slow, but the quality of the food more than made up for it. Honestly we were completely blown away. Great selection of items, service was fantastic despite the wait, would absolutely visit again if we're in the area.

I've had better. This place wasn't bad. But it wasn't great either. I felt the rolls were sloppily made. Too big and not rolled tight enough. Ok flavour. I will go elsewhere. Too expensive for just ok

Kinda hidden in an industrial looking plaza. The sushi is decent and the ambience is great for small groups. You can book a private room and it feels like authentic Japanese seating

Don't understand how there isn't a veggie roll lunch option? I was told to order the rolls separately cause the chef doesn't allow substitutions. The rolls were very small and disappointing because we would go here for lunch many times pre-covid.

Good ambience, fresh food. Shushi is good. Tried black dragon roll. They were out of toro though, wanted to try that. Miso soup is good as well.

Wonderful sushi and authentic Korean and Japanese food. It's a family owned restaurant and you can tell they work hard to make your experience great. If you have a party of six or more you can book a semi-private room in traditional Japanese style. I hosted a gathering just to be able to use these booths!

Excellent quality, delicious sushi and Maki rolls and the tempura might be the best I've ever had in my life.

Give it a go. Sushi nice and fresh. Galbi tender and flavorful. Good side dishes that gi with galbi as well.

One of the best indicators of good sushi restaurant are those restaurants that use real wasabi. It's the small details that show that they understand and honor the craft.

The Maki are good. Nigiri & sashimi could be better.

Had the Black Dragon and Giant Dragon and they were huge and delicious!

Had the sushi set dinner and the fish on the nigiri was smaller/thinner than other places. Also had Hamachi and Toro sashimi al a carte and for the price the slices are too small compared to other places.

The rice has good taste and texture, not overly sweet or tangy, not too hard or too soft, just right.

I’m personally not a huge fan of most korean food but the sushi here is great, and the appetizers are great. I especially loved how big the portions are for the price, you get a solid amount of food for your money. Service is pretty good too.

I don’t eat sushi but they have the best chicken and steak teriyaki! Always so fresh and the quality is really good. The vegetarian sushi is also very fresh. My 7 year old loves this place. The service is also very good. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Wonderful experience here. Great service and amazing food! We had a Tatami room and it felt so private and the food was delightful and fresh! Our server Soni was very attentive and our whole family had such a great time. We would recommend Masamune! We will be back! Thank you all very much!

Very goo Sushi. Good quality ingredients. Thier menu is not big, but what they cook is delicious. I ordered at different dates, diferent items from their menu and everytime was delicious. Thank you for keeping steady quality.

The sushi was yummy. Everything looked very pleasing and tasted just as great. We got seated in a private area, a little room perse. The lady that served us was kind and respectful of privacy while we were eating. No need for reservations which is nice. Cozy and comfy booths. Overall, good food but, you pay for quality and quantity which I like. I recommend this place.

Cute little place in Mississauga serving fresh sushi. Prices are decent, rolls are a little small, but overall good value. Sushi tasted great.

Every experience at this sushi restaurant has been great! Food is delicious, fish tastes fresh, everything comes as described. I can't wait for lockdown to be over so I can eat in the actual restaurant, which is beautifully decorated in traditional style.

Love the atmosphere in this place so warm and cozy. They bring you the culture in the place as well. You can smell the sushi already the freshness of the ingredients! And the food is amazzzing! I find most ala carte places for sushi amazing rather than AYCE onces. This place is not an AYCE type of place but its worth it! I love it here. Will definitely recommend it to try! Salmon is sooo fressssh, oooh i love em.

Food was okay and it had nice private rooms too. But server was very grumpy and made me very uncomfortable. They have to learn the number one rule of Japanese restaurant, " serve in Japanese style". I would not go back there.

This is a good sushi place to go to. This is not an all-you-can-eat restaurant. It is a tiny and elaborated spot for couples and small group of people. Food is delicious and clean. Quality of food is good and server is fast.

Delicious food with some great gluten free options! There is so much to choose from that their menu looks like a novel. Great place for sushi lovers to take their non-sushi loving friends. Everyone walks away happy!

Everything in the Hana Bento was delicious! A little plain looking place, though; only reason for not 5 stars

Very Good Tempura - light, and yet crispy on the outside while moist inside. Great Zaru Soba (dry Soba noodles) - served in a traditional manner with daikon radish, wasabi and dipping sauce. Sushi and Sashimi are very good here too.

Absolutely amazing food. The best sushi I ever had! There website doesn't show the pricing so sharing the menu as well. I went there during dinner not sure whether they have another menu for lunch time.

Place looked and smelled great. Never tried there food, but the place let me use there restroom, although there was a sign saying restrooms for customers only:) Appreciate there hospitality!

I often have lunch solo, and this place has a great sushi counter where you can watch the chefs work as you enjoy your meal. There are some great specials and the selection is good, also has some Korean dishes on the menu.

Great atmosphere and wait staff is friendly and accomodating. The sushi is very fresh and well portioned. The price is fair for this type of cuisine and they even have korean entrees as well if you want to mix it up. They have daily bento box specials for the lunch rush since they are in an business/industrial area of Dixien and Matheson. Great food overall only thing I would point out is to be early because they get busy during lunch. Would definitely come back again! Try their tempura sauce; it has hints of cinnamon which is delicious!

The food was fresh here, service was good too. My only complaint is that I find the sushi menu limited in terms of what type of special rolls are available.

My dinner came out 15 mins earlier than my date's. Since it was just the two of us our server/restaurant should have timed things better. Food was good though.

Not sure how this place has high reviews. Ordered takeout from this place and upon opening my miso soup, there was a fly floating around my soap.

There is nothing better then warm rice with your sushi but cold rice like it came out of the fridge as I got at this restaurant was very disappointed

Was very fast service, food quality is at the highest level. Usually go to Masamune once/twice a month for the last 4 years. Never regretted coming here.

The sushi was good but the hot pot was not. Somehow the meat flavor failed to percolate throughout the "stew".

This place is probably the only place in Mississauga that sell actually toro. The food here is honestly great everything I've order so far was delicious. The service was great too and the restaurant itself have a nice and calming atmosphere. I highly recommend this place for sushi and other Japanese dishes.

Good sushi and sizeable portions on the cooked food. Iron Chef used to be our go-to spot but we've migrated to Masamune and are continually happy with our food. Chicken Katsu is a good size. Chef's selection sushi is tasty with a few lightly flame blasted cuts on the plate.

This place was good for what it is. Most Japanese places tend to be run by Koreans here and are not authentic to Japanese taste but are more of a tribute to the cuisine. I'll give this place a four star overall but the sushi I'll rate a solid 3. Although my criticism is rather prejudice since I've been spoiled by the freshest of fish in Japan.

Went there lunch time on a Wednesday and it wasn't busy. Quality and taste of food was great! We'll definitely be back for a team lunch. They're also very accommodating when it comes to preferences (non-spicy sushi pizza) and allergies (shrimp tempura in a bento).
